Beautiful Bavarian brewery inn with outdoor dining in the heart of the city of Deggendorf. Food, drinks and service is impeccable. Price/performance ratio is more than reasonable due to the very good cuisine. Very happy again!

The food was OK. Normal portions. The waiter seemed stressed and didn't seem very friendly. Too bad. The beer garden on the market square is very loud.

The insolence that one is forced to submit to in order to use the humble confines of a toilet defies description. First, you are condescendingly demoted to descending three miserable steps into the lower spheres - an act that nips any hint of grandeur in the bud. But the true martyrdom only reveals itself afterwards: an absurd, dizzying pile of no less than 25 steps rises, a seemingly endless incline that forces the inclined guest to climb in the most shameful way. It is an unparalleled affront, an impertinence that cannot be surpassed in its audacity - almost as if going to the toilet was a test that only the most steadfast among us could pass. One can only look down with pity on those who are responsible for this architectural tragedy.

Sehr leckeres Essen was wir guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen können. Sehr leckerer Braten und eine noch leckerere orientalische Ofenkartoffel. Super nette Bedienungen, die einem schnell das bestellte an den Platz bringen. Würde sofort wieder zum Essen vorbei kommen !

The dumpling thrower in Deggendorf is a culinary highlight! The dumpling dishes are excellently prepared and offer a great variety of flavors. The portions are generous and the quality of the ingredients is clearly noticeable. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make eating here an all-round successful experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy traditional cuisine at its best!

We were guests for the first time at the weekend and will definitely come back. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff and the food was really excellent!

We spontaneously went there for lunch this afternoon. We didn't want to sit outside, so Keller immediately and very friendly offered us a place inside. When we got there we were served very quickly and again in a really friendly manner. We then ordered schnitzel, fries and the house salad. I have to say the food was just amazing. Each one was perfect the way it was. This is how Bavarian cuisine works! We can only recommend the restaurant.

Delicious food, very friendly service, lots of outdoor seating. We went here for dinner after an eventful day. The service was very friendly and attentive and ordering was relatively quick. The food was also delivered reasonably quickly. We ordered cheese spaetzle, meat patties and 2 children's meals. The cheese spaetzle was world class. I found the quantity of the meat patties a bit small and I also experienced the quality of the meat patties differently. With the children's meals everything was perfect again and the little ones really enjoyed it. In terms of quantity, it was also appropriate for the price-performance ratio.

Characteristic Bavarian restaurant. Truly exceptional and abundant dishes in a very nice location. A selection of dishes based on meat, potatoes, dumplings and spatzel. A must stop for anyone in Deggendorf

Ich war überrascht in einem bayrischen Wirtshaus eine so überschaubare Karte zu erhalten. Aber das ist Ansichtssache. Aber dss es um 18:30 keinen Schweinsbraten mehr gab, die Kellnerin mir dann stattdessen den Rostbraten empfahl, ohne zu erwähnen, dass dieser sportliche € 10,- mehr (25,-) kostete, war dann doch nicht mrhr tolerierbar. Umsomehr das Fleisch des Rostbratens zäh war. Der Besuch war ein richtiger Reinfall. Immerhin das Ambiente war sehr schön.

Im Inneren besitzt das Gasthaus Zur Knödelwerferin den wunderbaren urigen und gemütlichen Charme eines Wirtshauses aus lang vergangenen Zeiten. Draußen laden Sonnenschirme und Gartenmöbel zum gemütlichen Verweilen an Sonnentagen. An einem sonnigen und heißen Tag gönne ich mir zum Mittagessen eine Kleinigkeit: Kässpätzle und dazu einen kleinen Salat. Die Kässpätzle sin schmackhaft, die Portion ist auch für einen erwachsenen Mann ausreichend groß. Aber der Salat: Eine der drei Tomatenhälften ist deutlich überlagert. Spätestens beim Schneiden des Nachtschattengewächses hätte die Küchenkraft merken müssen, dass sie Abfall in die Salatschale des Gastes füllt!!! – Ich habe es leider erst im Mund bemerkt – und geschluckt. Die Servicekraft nimmt meine Beschwerde mit einem „ich geb’s in die Küche weiter“ entgegen. Kein „tut mir leid“. Keine Entschuldigung. Ansonsten war der Service nicht schlecht. Aber es gibt in Deggendorf garantiert Lokale, die ich glücklicher verlassen hätte.

When you go to the toilet there are great cartoons and sayings. I liked the cleanliness and nice service.

Everything was super friendly and perfect 👍🏼😊 Saure Nierle is highly recommended and the beer anyway. Definitely we'll come back.

Very rustic inn, which unfortunately doesn't have a single vegan dish on the menu... but when I asked, the chef prepared my own creation and then made sure afterwards whether it was tasty! Very courteous service! And this dish, based on a baked potato with vegetables in tomato sauce, could be added to the menu as a vegan dish ;)

Trotz Stress wegen Public Viewing sehr gut. Essen top. Bedienung mitunter was missmutig- aber das war wohl dem Stress geduldend.

We were recently there as a larger family with dogs. Really all really nice and humorous waitresses and waiters. The food was also very, very good and despite the fact that the inn was full, everything went relatively quickly. A real compliment from me for everything👍

Today we drove to Deggendorf by chance and happened to get a seat at the dumpling thrower. A wonderful place in the middle of the city square. Very nice service with a lot of humor, so you can enjoy the food. Deer - kidneys and liver. I had never experienced anything so successful at Wild! Keep it up, we will recommend you and come back on the next tour!

I have a very excellent side dish there! Had the liver spaetzle soup as a starter. The main course was sauerbraten with fried potatoes 😊! For dessert I have the coconut panna cotta with pineapple'👍 Top dessert! But I got negative attention because I wanted a caffeine-free coffee! 😂 Maybe it's a Bavarian thing that I, as a Swiss, don't understand🤷‍♂️🤗 Feng a bit good!

Great ambience. The food is good and solid. You can always find something here. But you could also include special dishes on the table, such as duck, beef fillet, roast chicken, suckling pig, for example. Insider tip: you can get a great Donauspritz here.

Rustic inn with very good food. The Bavarian cabbage and smoked dumplings were to die for. In addition, friendly and attentive service. Price-wise, completely okay.

Tolle bayrische Küche. Mein Frau kann krankheitsbedingt nur sehr selektiv essen. Küche und Personal sind aber sehr schön auf unsere Belange eingegangen. Klare Empfehlung. Allerdings auch nicht ganz günstig.

Trio of dumplings for €15.80... that was 3 different dumplings about the size of a tangerine (I thought it was too expensive). The beetroot dumpling was interesting, the cheese dumpling was good, the potato dumpling was a matter of taste, the whole thing on savoy cabbage. Service very friendly and attentive. No parking spaces found on site had to go into the parking garage.

The restaurant was well attended, you could say full, but the food and drinks were served very quickly and we didn't have to wait long. It was also very good. Absolut professionell geführtes Gasthaus. Das Essen ein Traum. Die Teller heiß, das Fleisch auf den Punkt gegart, schnell am Tisch. Auch Sonderwünsche wurden schnell und sehr gut Umgesetzt. Für dieses Essen ist der Preis zu niedrig. Aber eine kleine Sache wäre anzumerken. Ich war der Meinung das es dort viele Knödelvarianten gibt. Also fünf oder sechs Gerichte mit verschiedenen Knödel. Das hat mir gefehlt. Aber die Semmelknödel die ich zu meinem Gericht auf Wunsch serviert bekam, waren ein Traum. Auch wenn es sehr viele Leute hat, sind die Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Absolute Profis. Kann es nur weiterempfehlen und sicher komme ich wieder.

Just the right mix of Bavarian cuisine and modern ideas. The menu is well sorted and not overwhelming. The food is on the table incredibly quickly (approx. 2/3 of the seats were occupied during our visit) and I'll be happy to come back when I'm in the area.

As an Austrian I have to say respect! This might be one of the best schnitzels I've ever eaten!

Maybe we're disturbing? Soup too salty but good, the spaetzle and onion dish also very good however, the cook has nothing to do with all that. Be careful not to ask for the bill otherwise the unpleasant waitress will throw it in your face without saying goodbye (and yet it's only Tuesday, avoiding the establishment at the end of the week is good advice I think). Last word by way of goodbye from him: “Frankreich?”, yes ma’am and proud to be so with all respect.

Beautiful traditional inn with super friendly staff, delicious food and on the last Friday of the month there is a musicians' get-together that is second to none. Simply great.

Gepflegte Getränke, eine schöne Weinauswahl. Es ist eine Freude dieses Lokal zu besuchen und zu genießen . Eine Leistung, gerade in dieser schwierigen Zeit so ein Lokal zu führen. Der Personalmangel, die Mwst. Geschichte….die erhöhten Kosten beim Einkauf und die erhöhten Energiekosten sowie die erhöhten Personalkosten machen es bestimmt nicht leichter. Wir bewundern diese Motivation. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team, wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierher.

Das Essen ist super, toll angerichtet und mit einer eigenen Note (der Burger zB). Dass bei nicht ansatzweise vollem Gastraum das Personal miteinander oder dem Handy beschäftigt ist, bringt ggf. den Gast dazu, selbst abzuräumen und Getränke nachzubestellen, aber man wächst mit seinen Aufgaben. Die Getränke auf den Tafeln sind absolut verlockend

Alles Haus gemacht das schmeckt man auch sehr gute Qualität der Produkte ☺️ Preis Leistung passt Da ich den Bürger bestellt hatte und da war das Fleisch eher ein Fleischpflanzl statt ein Bürger Pattie Ansonsten sehr lecker kommen gerne wieder

Went here thinking they'd have a selection of the namesake Knoedln, but there were none to be seen on the menu. I asked the waiter and the only thing that came with Knoedln was roast pork, so I ordered it. The pork was very fatty, it came with one Knoedl which was dry and lacking flavor. They did have a good selection of beers and our waiter was friendly.

Leider waren die warmen Speisen kalt. Dennoch sehr schmackhaft. Der Service zur Mittagszeit, naja. Unsere Servicekraft vorbildlich und sehr freundlich. Immer wieder gerne.

Die Auswahl an glutenfreien Essen leider dürftig . Zur Auswahl war eigentlich nur Ofenkartoffel der war zwar gut aber das Personal konnte nicht wirklich was mit gluteinunverträglichkeit anfangen.

Ich hatte die Ofenkartoffeln mit Salat und Speck. Leider waren meine Kartoffeln schon vertrocknet und definitiv mindestens vom Vortag. Meine Partnerin hatte den Wurstsalat mit Käse. Das Brot war trocken und hart und im Wurstsalat, der aus Wurstscheiben und nicht streifen bestand, war der harte Rand des Käses verarbeitet. Als wir dies ansprachen wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass der Azubi alleine in der Küche stand und dafür verantwortlich war. Ich wusste nicht, dass man den Azubi alleine lassen darf. Das einzig positive war die nette Bedienung und dass uns daraufhin der Wurstsalat von der Rechnung gestrichen wurde. Wir waren genau 2 Mal da. Das erste und letzte Mal.

Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen wie im Gasthof zur Knödelwerferin! Der Wurstsalat wurde in einem Dressing ertränkt. Der Käse im Salat war entweder nicht frisch oder es wurden die harten Ränder in den Salat geschnitten. Von den 2 Scheiben Brot war eine schon total hart und trocken und die andere Scheibe war auch mindestens vom Tag davor. Als wir reklamiert hatten, wurde uns gesagt "der Lehrling sei allein in der Küche." Was für mich keine Entschuldigung ist. Es spricht Bände, wenn man altes Brot und harten Käse einem Gast vorsetzt. Dazu benötigt man keine Ausbildung zum Koch, dies spiegelt den Umgang mit Lebensmitteln in dem Gasthaus wieder!

Wunderschönes Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal nur leider war das Essen mässig. Hatten Spanferkel ....wenig und echt fettes Fleisch mit einem kl.Knödel. Hätte man richtig Hunger gehabt....? Schwierig

Geschmackvolle, eher rustikale, Einrichtung. Sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen. Sehr leckere Hauptgerichte mit ordentlichen Portionen. Der Hit ist das Dessert „die große Knödelwerferin“! Reservierung empfohlen, um einen Fensterplatz zu erhalten! Danke für einen schönen Abend- wir kommen gern wieder!

"Gelungener Abend" Im Rahmen unserer Weihnachtsfeier waren wir zu 9 beim Essen. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam, aber zu keinem Zeitpunkt aufdringlich... Wir waren vom Essen hin und weg. Authentisches, gemütliches Ambiente. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Und möchten ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team aussprechen. Sehr zu emfehlen.
