Holzofenpizzeria Ristorante Zur Post in Deggendorf

We spontaneously went to Zur Post for lunch without a reservation, but I recommend booking a table. The welcome was very friendly, although it took a little while to take our drink orders. However, the restaurant was completely full. The food, on the other hand, was prepared very quickly. We had a Pizza Prosciutto, Spaghetti Carbonara, and beef carpaccio as a starter. Everything was highly recommended and tasted delicious. They definitely use high-quality ingredients. This restaurant is definitely worth a try, but remember to make a reservation.

In my opinion, currently the best wood-fired pizza in Deggendorf! A beautifully decorated restaurant divided into two large rooms. Service was attentive, quick, and friendly, as expected. The pizzas are prepared and baked right in front of the guests. The food is truly delicious, the portions are generous, the flavor is great, the selection is perfectly adequate, and the presentation is also appealing. A good spot if you're looking for Italian food or fish/seafood/mussels. Special orders are possible, and everything is highly recommended. The location is relatively central, and there's a small beer garden in the summer. The prices are a bit higher, but justified.

My best and absolute favorite pizza in the entire world. Even in Italy, nowhere is it as sketchy as here. World-class service, outstanding food, and a delicious Aperol—you don't need anything more. I heartily recommend it. 5 stars, because unfortunately, there's nothing more to give.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The pizzas are fantastic—the best in town. The pasta is also very good. The Vitale salad is unique (and so is the chicken in all dishes). In addition to the first-class food, the staff is unbeatably warm and friendly. Super polite, no matter the time of day.

The pasta was delicious, and the staff were all friendly and accommodating! Special requests were accommodated, and the wait for drinks and food was also reasonable. Unfortunately, no one was available in advance to reserve a table, and we were in luck—it seems to get very busy here on weekends. The only thing we didn't like was the noise level. And €9.50 for a small portion of pasta without sauce seems rather expensive. However, the small glass of tap water was free. Suggestion for improvement: A children's menu would be great! Still: 5 stars, and we would definitely come back!

One of the best pizzerias in the area. The prices are a bit higher, but they're worth it. The waiters are always friendly and extremely attentive. An empty glass will catch your eye before you even notice it.

Yes, we live over 50 km away but it's worth the drive.

We placed a large order for 14 meals. 5 meals were incomplete and the taste of 3 meals wasn't really good. If a salad costs €15 1. with the wrong toppings and 2. consists of 85% green leaf lettuce, the price-performance ratio is definitely not right. Really a shame!!!

We were in Schauflingen for 5 days for a training course. After the first evening we were so excited and just went there all 5 evenings. Only recommended. We tried everything from salad, pasta, starters and pizzas and it was all worth it

One of the best pizzas I've eaten so far. Super tasty, nice staff and cozy restaurant. The only major drawback: the restaurant does not offer card payment. So we had to run to the bank again and get cash. It shouldn't actually happen in 2025. Nevertheless, a successful stay!

Went there today by chance. Pizza tasted good, although the dough was rather soft, not cross...but that's a matter of taste. Service OK. However, 1 large bottle of mineral water costs 7 euros, which is borderline. And unfortunately only cash payment possible.

Dad's food was good. There was good garlic oil and chili oil. We withdrew 55 euros for the two of us. But what was bad was that all the guests (there were 2 tables) got an offer to get drinks on the house? But we were deliberately not offered anything. We have been regular customers for years and are always thrilled. The taste of the food is in the top league. The great ambience and the friendly, courteous service round everything off positively. Price-performance ratio is completely fine. The best restaurant for me and my partner! We can give full marks for this without any restrictions. Even the slightly further journey is worth it. Kudos to the operators!!!

We love the food and the ambience. We have been visiting the post office with larger groups for years. The only drawbacks are that the prices have become steep and the holiday periods are just around the corner. We've gone there a few times and realized it's vacation time. A short digital message on the website or on Facebook would help.

I wanted to share some bad behavior of this pizzeria, apart from the fact that they are not real Italians (they are Croatians) and the pizza is VERY expensive and was NOT the best, I find it a bit difficult to pay 1.5 euros more just because I asked for a second plate because I wanted to share my pizza, apart from that, no credit or EC cards are allowed... so only cash. I would like to see more transparency, the waiter did not warn me of the surcharge. Anyway, I'm not coming back anymore.

OK. Cheap is different. High prices, but also high quality cuisine. I had the 36er Pizza Toscana. The pizza was just great and huge. But the service also left nothing to be desired. Really fast, friendly, courteous and attentive. Despite the high prices, absolutely recommended.

Pizza and pasta dish very tasty! Service quick and friendly! Unfortunately, eating out is becoming a luxury in Germany because of the tax increase and high food prices! But the restaurant can't do anything about it because everyone has to raise money! Unfortunately the dining room is very loud and cramped because there was a lot going on.

This restaurant is the best you can get in all of Deggendorf if you want to enjoy Italian cuisine. The staff is very professional and friendly. The food is a delicacy. I lived in Italy for 12 years myself and if you want to experience authentic Italian cuisine, this is the only restaurant that can do it. I've been here many times and each time my expectations have been exceeded. It is a must when you are in Deggendorf.

Nice little Italian spot with friendly service. Good selection of things to eat, something for everyone. Ordered one of the seasonal pasta dishes off the special menu and was not disappointed. Had to have the panna cotta, perfection! Only bummer was that they don't take credit cards, but there's a bank nearby.

Sehr geschmackvolle Holzofenpizzen. Die Zubereitung ging sehr schnell, obwohl viele Gäste im Lokal waren! Bitte immer Reservieren! Wir wurden sehr freundlich den ganzen Abend bedient. Die Panna Cotta als Nachspeise war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Was uns etwas gestört hat, war die sehr enge Anordnung der Tische. Der Abstand war so gering, dass man ungewollt die Gespräche der Tischnachbarn mitgekommen hat und wahrscheinlich auch umgekehrt. Dementsprechend laut war die Geräuschkulisse. Für eine romantisches Essen zu zweit eher nicht geeignet. Und unsere Pizzamesser waren ziemlich stumpf. Schade. Durch die sehr enge Sitzordnung wirkte das Lokal dann fast wie eine Massenabfertigung auf uns. Der doch etwas gehobenere Preis ist grundsätzlich noch in Ordnung, aber es gab nicht mal einen kleinen Schnaps bei der Bezahlung, wie es eigentlich in jedem Italienischen Lokal üblich ist.

Waren das letzte Mal im Januar dort, ansonsten immer mal wieder gelegentlich. Essen ist jedes Mal ein Gedicht - bis auf die Salate, die sind nicht mein Fall. Wirkt leider jedes Mal so, als wären teilweise qualitativ minderwertige Fertigprodukte untergemischt. Ansonsten, Pizza, Pasta, Fleisch ein Traum! Meiner Meinung nach u.a. eines der besten Lokale in der Stadt, das italienische Küche anbietet. Service jeder Zeit freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend. Tolles Ambiente, vor allem die Plätze auf der Vorderseite des Hauses laden zum Verweilen ein. Sauberkeit ist besonders hervorzuheben.

Ein wunderbares Restaurant, sehr schönes Ambiente, toller Service und das Essen fantastisch. Die Pizzen und das Tiramisu sind sehr zu empfehlen 👌

Durchschnittlich gute Steinofenpizza, deren Belag irgendwie der gewisse Pfiff fehlt. Allein schon als Farbtupfer gehört meiner Meinung nach immer etwas Rucola oder Basilikum auf die Pizza. Aber die vorgegeben Pizzavarianten kommen mit wenig Belägen daher. Bei meiner Cynar waren es Tomaten, Käse, Artischocken (angeblich Artischockenherzen). Also theoretisch nur ein Belag, denn Tomaten und Käse ist ja wohl Standard und müsste meiner Meinung nach nicht extra aufgeführt werden. Baut man etwa darauf, dass die Gäste extra Beläge gegen Aufpreis bestellen? Und das bei einem stolzen Grundpreis von 10 für eine „kleine“ Pizza Margherita. Spezi ohne Zitrone - ich muss nicht wiederkommen.

Super lecker Salat mit Meeresfrüchten, aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service

Salat war sehr sehr lecker. Service sehr gut. Im Biergarten konnte man gemütlich sitzen. Eine tolle Pizzeria was man nur jedem empfehlen kann.

Das Beste was die italienische Küche in Deggendorf zu bieten hat. Für mich die beste Pizzeria der Stadt! Die Pizzen aus dem Holzofen haben eine schöne Größe, der Boden ist dünn, genau wie er sein soll und der Belag... Zusätzlich täglich verschiedene wechselnde Gerichte und das Dessert ist auch immer ein Traum! Das Personal immer sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und auch mal für einen Spaß zu haben! Die Preise sind absolut gerechtfertigt. Meine erste Wahl in Deggendorf!

Service nett und zuvorkommend. 0,5 * Abzug weil keine Kartenzahlung möglich 0,5 * Abzug weil: netterweise für 2 Kleinkinder einen zusätzlichen Teller angeboten, dafür 1,- zu nehmen darf man gerne davor sagen. Es geht hier nicht um den Euro, sondern um die Kommunikation. Glück gehabt, dass wir über 100,- € in bar dabei hatten. Sonst würden wir noch heute die Teller waschen

Sehr leckere Pizza ganz nach meinem Geschmack - dünner, knuspriger Boden, optimale Belagmenge und auch der Rand war sehr gut. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir hatten die normale Größe und das hat uns perfekt gereicht. Service auch sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Pizza ist toll. Aber es wird für einen leeren Teller zum Pizza teilen eine Gebühr verlangt und Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich. Man wird leider nicht vorab darauf hingewiesen.

Für mich die beste Pizzeria der Stadt! Pizzen haben eine schöne Größe, der Boden davon ist dünn genau wie ich es mag. Viele verschiedene Auswahlmöglichkeiten und das Dessert ist auch immer ein Traum! Das Personal war bisher immer sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und auch mal für einen Spaß zu haben! Preise sind absolut gerechtfertigt in meinen Augen da einfach alles teurer wurde auch für die Gastro!

Gestern eine Pizza UFO zum mitnehmen bestellt. Bei mir waren nur in der mitte ca. 10cm Durchmesser belegt der Rest war einfach trockener Teig. Sehr enttäuschende Pizza und das für 17 Euro. Auch wenn andere Pizzen sonst schmecken aber das geht halt nicht.

Ah, "Zur Post", ein angeblich italienisches Restaurant, das anscheinend die italienische Küche mit einer Landkarte von Dänemark erkundet. Ich habe voller Vorfreude eine Pizza Caprese bestellt - die Mona Lisa unter den Pizzen. Stell dir meinen Schock vor, als ich zuhause eine Margherita aus der Box zog - das war, als hätte ich ein Originalgemälde bestellt und ein Kindermalbuch erhalten. Der Preis? Ein absolut unverschämter Betrag von 12 Euro für diese dreiste Verwechslung. Ein flüchtiger Blick auf ihre Webseite war wie ein Schlag in den Magen: eine Margherita kostet dort nur lächerliche 10 Euro. Das ist pure Frechheit! Die Größe der Pizza? Ein trauriges Spiegelbild meiner Enttäuschung - klein und jämmerlich. Der Geschmack? Wie soll man eine himmlische Caprese-Erfahrung genießen, wenn man stattdessen eine verfluchte Margherita vorgesetzt bekommt? Ich hatte ihnen sogar am Telefon klipp und klar gesagt, was auf die Pizza gehört. Und oh, die Ironie, dass meine gewünschte Pizza "Gianna" (so wurde sie auch boniert) sich unter der Kategorie "Für Mozzarella Freunde" auf ihrer Webseite befindet. Wirklich zum Lachen, oder? Ich hatte gehofft, zuhause genüsslich in eine Pizza Caprese zu beißen. Stattdessen saß ich da mit einem bitteren Lächeln, einer leeren Pizzabox und dem Geschmack einer grottenschlechten Margherita im Mund. Also, "Zur Post", das war's dann wohl. Beim nächsten Mal ziehe ich Panos in Metten vor. Dort weiß man, wie man eine echte Pizza Caprese zubereitet und vor allem, wie man seine Kunden nicht zum Kochen bringt!

Völlig unprofessionell! Ich habe eine Pizza bestellt, aber betont, ohne Zwiebeln, aber sie haben totzfem es mit gemacht. Der Besitzer des Restaurants hat es gesehen und keine neue gemacht, um zu erklären, dass es keine Rolle spielt, es gab nicht viel davon, aber es war ziemlich viel.

Habe für 3 Personen einen Tisch reserviert. Nach Begrüßung mussten wir 15 Minuten ohne weitere Beachtung warten, bis man uns dann netterweise informiert hat, dass die Tische doppelt vergeben wurden und sie jetzt doch keinen Platz für uns haben. Uns wurde dann angeboten, dass wir uns auf einen Tisch im Außenbereich setzen, bis wieder ein Tisch frei wird. Bei 14 Grad und Regen, ist das aber auch nicht optimal und wir lehnten dankend ab. Leider passierte das schon zum zweiten Mal. Dieses Lokal besuche ich deshalb nicht mehr.

Essen war lecker und Bedienung freundlich, waren 2 Erwachsene 3 Kinder nur Hauptgericht und Getränke 130€ und dann war Leider keine kartenzahlung möglich musste zur Bank laufen das war nervig. Bei den Preisen und der heutigen Zeit sollte kartenzahlung möglich sein
