Nice, spacious, and clean room. Polite and welcoming staff. The only downside is that breakfast is a bit limited, especially for those with food intolerances or vegans/vegetarians. A great experience, and it's close to the center! :)

Great location, very close to the old Main Bridge and great restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. Best coffee I've had in a long time. Small parking lot right in front of the house.

A very friendly welcome at the reception, the room had air conditioning AND a fan. The breakfast buffet and service were excellent, and overall, the price was fair. In 2025, asking whether you really have to pay with a credit card when paying for minibar drinks unfortunately deducts a point from the B rating.

I stayed there for two nights, had my single room facing the backyard, and was able to sleep peacefully. The breakfast was standard, and I didn't miss anything.

A place very close to the center. Nice...there's a public parking lot nearby...unless you can reserve a spot in front of the hotel. The ensuite bathroom is nice...good shower.

Nice basic hotel in the heart of Würzburg. Only had a heavy traffic jam (on Friday afternoon) on the last 2.5 km. I have no idea if it's always like this or just a coincidence.

The hotel is very dated. The rooms and furnishings more than deserve a renovation. The breakfast is very good, but for €15.00, that should be expected.

I can highly recommend this hotel. I stayed in Würzburg for one night, and it was perfectly fine for that. The single room wasn't huge, but it was adequate and very clean! Check-in and check-out were also very straightforward. The location is very central to the old town. Everything you need for a one-night stay. I would book this hotel again.

Clean room and bathroom. The furniture was a bit dated 😉. The reception staff were very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Delicious breakfast buffet in a modern, rather uncomfortable room, but even here everything was very clean and the service was very friendly. The old town is within walking distance, the Main River is a 3-minute walk away, and the "old Main Bridge" offers an incredibly lively atmosphere. Wine is being drunk everywhere, either bought at the wine stand or brought from home. Young and old alike stand there, enjoying life. Music is being played, some have bass rolls with them. What a magnificent atmosphere, almost Mediterranean. Everything is peaceful, and that in this day and age, what an experience. We would come again

In the city center, good access(we even could park for free at the small parking lot of the hotel). Clean room, good bed.

Right In the centre easy to reach all amenities, friendly staff lovely rooms and a very good quality shower. The room we stayed in was a very good standard with A/C. We booked this hotel last minute as we were driving through Wurzburg having just visited for the day.

Very friendly staff and reception. Rooms are clean and tidy, bathroom was a bit small, but everything was there. Nice breakfast at €15 / pers and public parking garage adjacent to the hotel. Discount for hotel guests. I paid €13 for parking for 1 night. The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but near the Dom (10 min walk) there are many places to eat.

I stayed at the Hotel Strauss for two nights, without breakfast. The room had everything you need and surprisingly comfortable beds. It's right in the heart of Würzburg. I highly recommend the hotel.

I always feel comfortable at the Hotel Strauss. The staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast has a good selection and quality. The location is unbeatable. The rooms have now all been renovated, always clean and lovingly furnished. I always enjoy coming back.

Super central! Friendly staff. The room isn't very modern, but it's currently being renovated and improved. What matters is that it's clean, and that was the case! Hats off to the ladies and gentlemen in housekeeping. I'd be happy to come back.

We ate here again after many years (the reason used to be training courses) and I have to say, the food is still as delicious as it used to be. We had 3 different dishes and everything was delicious and the portion size was sufficient. Staff very warm and attentive. We would love to come back

It's an old hotel so it's a bit inconvenient. Water pressure is good, but drainage is bad. The elevator is too narrow. The location is not bad and there are 8 parking spaces. Parking is difficult if you arrive late. The wifi is too slow and very inconvenient The room is not small

Super brilliant hotel! Rooms very clean, mattresses not worn out, NO back pain!! Top location in the center of Würzburg! Reception manned 24 hours a day, almost direct access to the Pleich car park including a discount of 13 euros per day. What more could you want!?? For us again at any time!!!

Very nice hotel in the German tradition, very clean, nice rooms, good bedding, quiet even though it is really in the middle of the city, 10-15 minutes on foot from the train station or right outside the door with the S-Bahn, very nice, friendly and helpful staff on site, overall a very pleasant stay - on site. It's a shame about the problems with the bills afterwards (all breakfasts were charged twice) - which can happen sometimes - but the (written) arrogance and stubbornness of the person who responded to my complaint emails ruined the whole thing for me! How can you have someone in customer service who responds so completely rudely?? The 1st time: "You (i.e. I, the customer) made a mistake! There's nothing we can do!", the 2nd email: "Bad luck! There's nothing we can do about it!" (It was described differently but that was what was meant). I had to contact a 3rd party to get my refund. A disgrace. Invoices must definitely be checked twice! (PS my job is customer service) Visit from France, mid-November 2024, professional, 2 nights 2 rooms 2 people.

We went to the restaurant for dinner with friends. The tables were set very ceremoniously. The atmosphere suits the festival. There was a varied traditional Franconian menu. The food was plentiful and excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. What more could you want?! We will now eat there more often when we are in Würzburg.

Own parking; location right in the center

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. I had a small single room on the second floor. The bed was ok, the room was clean and the bathroom was modern. For me the room was too hot (in December) and it smelled unpleasant (a mixture of football locker room and cleaning products). Breakfast was a classic buffet. Nothing special, but completely ok. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center and the train station. Due to its location in the city center, it is of course nothing as quiet as in the countryside.

It was a nice experience there. The location was just perfect for my stay.

It was impossible to sleep because every sound from the room above could be heard. Every step, the creaking of the floor – it was unbearable. I woke up irritated, and during the night, it was impossible to fall asleep due to the constant stomping overhead.

Sensational breakfast. Great location, you can see the main points of the city on foot. If you arrive by car and there is no space in front of the hotel, you can park in a public parking lot next door and pay with a good discount using the QR code at the hotel reception. Extremely kind staff, I forgot my cell phone charger and they sent it to me in another city, I thought that was great!

Great hotel for an overnight stay

On a motobin Europe trip, I stayed in this nice hotel. A girl from the staff welcomed me and she was very professional, helpful, nice and cheerful. They gave me some great advice about my stay in Wurzburg. The staff made a difference on my visit to this wonderful little town. I highly recommend it.

Very well maintained house, very nice staff and very helpful.

Short distance to the train station. The area is relatively noisy on weekends, so sleeping with the windows open is not possible, but air conditioning helps. Very clean, fridge in the room. There is a notice in the bathroom - towels on the floor will not be exchanged otherwise. Unfortunately they were changed anyway, which was a shame and unnecessary. There is a very large selection at breakfast and there is sure to be something for everyone. Unfortunately, there is a lot of disposable packaging, which in my opinion is no longer up to date. Goodwill in the event of an emergency and departure one day earlier can be expanded. Centrally located and within walking distance of the city center and Main.

Great location within walking distance to many things. Own restaurant and several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Parking garage next to the hotel. It didn't work out with the parking fee. Instead of 13 euros, the cash register in the parking garage charged me 23 euros despite the ticket punching by the hotel staff.

Normal city hotel that is already getting old. Rooms clean and functional, but absolutely not a 'feel-good oasis'. The breakfast is good - there should be something for everyone. The location is absolutely great - that is actually the capital of the hotel. Parking space at the house or in the parking garage for a fee. Completely okay for one or two nights. The slightly older lady at the reception is a bit harsh and doesn't always find the right tone (at least that was my feeling). I know it differently and better from other hotels. Nevertheless: I recommend it.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! The management is very rude!!!!!!Prices for breakfast are completely exorbitant!!!!!!!!The service at the reception is very unfriendly, snippy and cheeky. Only a few ladies are nice. The room was very bad, only when we moved the room was moderately good. The facility is already 35 years old. The hotel is the epitome of incompetence and impudence.

Unfortunately, in an emergency situation, I experienced an inappropriate situation from the employees. While I was bleeding in the room, I tried to reach someone at the front desk. The first time I wasn't able to reach anyone there. The second time I reached someone and explained my distress and that I had already called in vain. Instead of reacting immediately, I was drawn into a justifying conversation that I had to break off because otherwise I would have covered everything in blood. A restaurant worker brought me some ice cream and a housekeeping lady helped me. The next day there was no response. When I thanked the receptionist, I received a snippy response, whereupon I had to point out to the lady that it would be appropriate to help and put my own sensitivities aside. The reaction was unreasonable and the lady was also surprised that I couldn't continue the phone call! But a complaint to management was the highlight: The employees' statements were distorted, they covered each other up and instead of stopping such behavior, which is extremely inappropriate and rather damaging to business, I was asked to refrain from making any further bookings. I can only confirm this in my time of need. If I was already bleeding so badly, why wouldn't I have just called the doctor myself? They are not responsible for it.

Very central and wonderful starting point for the old town AND Main flair...

I have NEVER stayed in such a bad hotel. It was just disgusting! It smelled so strongly of mold that all of our laundry and our hair smelled like it... Hair in the bed and in the towels. There was even a hair clip under the blanket. The room was so stuffy that we had to ventilate it for 2 hours. Climate so loud you couldn't touch it. We had to park nearby in a parking garage with a tiny exit. And even though we complained, we didn't get a new room. The lady the next morning gave us a small bottle of wine and a special as compensation. No go hotel

Rooms are getting old but clean. However, the windows no longer close flush, which unfortunately makes them far too loud as they face the street at the front. Sleeping was difficult.

A well-suited house for exploring Würzburg. Very easy to reach whether by car or train. In just a few minutes you can be at the Main or the cathedral. The associated restaurant is also highly recommended.

Extremely good service. Booked two different rooms on two consecutive days. Although everything was fully booked, the room plan was adjusted at short notice so that I could stay in the room with a personally written note sent to my room. You rarely see that today. The rooms themselves are functional, but you get everything you need at a good price/performance ratio. The cleanliness was surprisingly good.

We only stayed here for one night, but our impression was very good. Everything was clean, staff friendly... nothing to complain about.

The hotel is very conveniently located close to the train station, which can be reached in about 10 minutes with luggage. The tram passes right in front of the house, but you hardly notice it. This also gives you a much better chance of exploring the city by train instead of always taking the car. Many sights as well as restaurants and shopping areas are within walking distance from the hotel. The three-story building has many rooms, including single rooms. These are really small, but ideal for (only) spending the night in. The bathroom in the single room is large enough for one person. Unfortunately, the shower is a bit small for strong, stocky people. The staff is always courteous, friendly and helpful. Just as it should be for a hotel. Parking spaces in front of the house are in short supply, so it's worth traveling in an environmentally friendly way by train. What may be very important for some people is breakfast. This is filled above average. Unfortunately, the rolls are a little small, more like party rolls, but of course you have a choice of toppings. Unfortunately there were no soft (fresh) eggs during my stay, but hard ones. All in all, the hotel is a good address for short travelers who want to see and discover the city of Würzburg over the weekend.
