We had a wonderful evening at the Franziskaner! The owner greeted us so warmly, and we knew it was going to be a great evening. The salmon salad was delicious, the homemade herb dressing was incredibly tasty, and the amazing apple strudel rounded it all off perfectly. If we're ever in Würzburg again, we'll definitely be back!

A stable restaurant, a bit dated. The food is OK.

Four of us ate there yesterday. I can 100 percent recommend the restaurant. The manager runs the service alone. Nevertheless, she has everything under control. She was super friendly, and the drinks came quickly. She kept asking if everything was okay. That's how I imagine service and hospitality. Her husband was in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet him. But the food was amazing. Everything was freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Since the restaurant isn't very big, please make a reservation in advance. It's definitely worth it.

Highly recommended! We had a reservation for 5 p.m. and were a group of 10 people. Unfortunately, our boat trip was delayed, so we couldn't arrive until 5:30 p.m. Luckily, the group after us canceled, so we were able to stay until the last round. The food is excellent! Authentic German home cooking, superb quality, very tasty, and the portions are filling! It was a very nice evening that we were able to spend there; the service was more than accommodating and super friendly! You just feel at home there. To top it all off, we got our beer to go for a very good price—what more could you want? If we're ever in Würzburg again, we'll definitely be back! Best wishes from southern Lower Saxony :-)

The shoulder of pork and the Schoppe were delicious! It's not the cheapest restaurant, but you can definitely find more expensive options. The food was definitely worth the price. The service was friendly. The portion was quite filling.

We were there with six people. The table was reserved online. The staff/boss Sabine was an attentive, friendly and warm host. The food was incredibly tasty and, above all, fresh. Everyone was excited. The selection of drinks was also large and ensured that we stayed for over four hours. Price-performance was really very good. From now on my first choice when I come to Würzburg again. I strongly recommend making reservations in good time.

What a surprise this well-arranged restaurant is. A fantastic meal for six with motorcycle friends and the brilliantly fun evening is mainly thanks to the successful cuisine and the service by the boss herself. If we come back to Würzburg, we will reserve a table again.

Had been there twice. Had the wedding dinner, it tasted very good, the beef was nice and tender, the horseradish sauce was good, only the tagliatelle could have been a little more but otherwise I was very happy with the food. The service was also very friendly....everything was fine.

Nice nice little place. The boss who is responsible for the service is just great and super friendly. The food is really delicious! Special requests are also catered for! To top it all off, there was a heavenly crème brûlee. There is a large and great wine selection. Overall, it was a successful evening for us as a family. Anyone visiting Würzburg city center should definitely stop by here (but it's best to reserve in advance!)

Dieses Restaurant hat uns mehrfach überrascht. Chefin ist auch einzige Servicekraft. Bewundernswert wie sie das Lokal managt. Super freundlich, sehr schnell und auch noch kompetent. Der Gatte hat die Küche in der Hand. Und was da heraus kommt ist auch erstaunlich. Hervorragendes Schäufele, prima Leberknödelsuppe und ein guter Apfelstrudel. Eine gute Weinauswahl rundet das ganze ab. Ohne Reservierung werden sie keinen Platz bekommen.

Really nice and good here. A sauerbraten that you have to look for for a long time - you can find it here. And a Silvaner soup with a kick. Or the vegetarian orange and rice vegetables. There were four of us and everyone was more than satisfied. With the best cuisine, with great service and, last but not least, with the selected wines. Everything at absolutely fair and good prices. And we were lucky: the weather was nice and we sat outside in a wonderfully quiet area. When we are back in Würzburg, we will of course go back!

Wir hatten 2 x Krustenbraten mit Knödel und Kraut: Reichlich Fleisch und es gab nichts nichts zu bemängeln. Deshalb haben wir das Essen unserem Tischnachbarn empfohlen, der dann nur halb so viel Fleisch erhalten hat. Das Kellerbier war gut, das leichtere Zwickl war noch besser.

My partner and I went for dinner the other day, and our experience could not have been better. It is a small but cozy place, and the waiter was extremely nice and friendly. She was really caring about us (whether we were comfortable, understanding the German menu, and enjoying). Then, the food was also very good: big portions, and everything very tasty indeed. The best point was without doubt the waiter, but anyway it was such a good experience, that if I could, I would go back again!

As Würzburgers, we ate at Franziskaner for the first time today and we didn't regret it. The service was super friendly, attentive, totally relaxed and always with a smile on her face. There's only a small map, but I don't think it's bad. The starter, main course and dessert tasted impeccably. The drinks are very inexpensive for Würzburg standards. We will be back definitely. But you should make a reservation as there are not many seats.

Sehr gutes, leckeres fränkisches Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre, aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Einzig die WCs bieten Luft nach oben.

The inn is rustically cozy. We were also very welcome with our dog. She was immediately given a bowl of water. The knuckle with sauerkraut and dumplings was incredibly tasty, as was the beef roulade.

Wir waren gestern Abend das erste Mal dort essen. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant war klein und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Ich habe hier vor einigen Jahren mal kurzfristig als Aushilfe gekellnert und hatte es schon damals als sehr professionelles und freundliches Restaurant kennen gelernt. Heute zu viert als zwei Pärchen zum Essen da gewesen. Was soll ich sagen? Perfekt. Sabine, die Chefin, macht alleine einen souveränen, überragenden Service. Und die Freundlichkeit kommt von Herzen, man merkt ihr die Freude und Leidenschaft förmlich an. Das Essen: Eine Wucht. Die 17,90 für eine zarte viertel Ente mit leckerer Soße, zwei Klösen und reichlich gut gewürztem Blaukraut sind gut angelegt. Also Leute, kommt hierher zum Essen und lasst es Euch schmecken und gut gehen. Meine Freunde und ich werden es auf jeden Fall! P.S.: Die "nur" vier Sterne fürs Ambiente sind wegen der "Red Light District Atmosphäre" über der Bar und and der Kaffeemaschine. Gelbton oberhalb der Restaurantbeleuchtung fände ich passender. Aber alles Geschmacksache. Egal. Essen, Service und Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Top. Bis bald.

Top! Leckeres Essen aus regionaler Küche mit toller Würzung und ein super netter aufmerksamer Service. Dazu günstige Preise und ein tolles Ambiente. Die Desserts sind klasse und die Weinkarte muss man mal durchprobieren (Tip: 0.1 l bestellen) - die „Alten Rezensionen“ sind übrigens gar nicht mehr passend zum aktuellen Konzept. Soviel sei noch gesagt: wenn die Würzburger „Einheimischen“ sich dort treffen und sehr wohlfühlen, dann läuft hier so einiges richtig.

Das Essen war SEHR GUT! Der Service AUSGEZEICHNET! Wir sind am Montag Abend zur zweit mit Kind spontan zum Restaurant. Obwohl ich seit Jahren in Würzburg lebe und gut kenne und auch in fast jeden Restaurant war, bin ich hier immer nur durch gelaufen weil ich dachte immer sei ausgebucht und wir meist spontan entscheiden. Ich denke Reservierung ist empfohlen. Der Qualität und Motivation vom Service war für uns das Highlight. Schmeckte nach Heimat und das Ambiente im Außenbereich war sehr familiär. Vielen Dank!

Obwohl ich ziemlich oft irgendwo in Würzburg zum Essen bin, war ich noch nie im Franziskaner. Mehrere spontane Versuche scheiterten bisher, da das Restaurant immer ausgebucht war. Also habe ich jetzt mal reserviert. Das Essen war sehr gut. Ich bin Franke und ein „sehr gut“ kommt mir normalerweise schwer über die Lippen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat mich positiv überrascht und ist sehr gut. Hervorheben möchte ich den sehr guten Service. Habe schon lange keinen derartig guten Service mehr genossen. Dies fängt schon bei der Begrüßung an. Die freundliche Frau hat uns mit einem offenen Lächeln begrüßt und uns zu unserem Tisch begleitet. Während unseres Besuchs war die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam, was man heute nicht mehr so oft findet. Man spürt, dass hier die Menschen mit Hingabe ihren Job nachgehen und das Bedienen nicht als lästige Pflichtübung ansehen.

Liebe Frau Gansel, wir möchten uns noch einmal für die leckeren Abendessen und ihre freundliche Bedienung bedanken. Nach Würzburg waren wir noch in Bamberg und Bayreuth. Jede Stadt hatte etwas Besonderes. In Würzburg waren sie es! Liebe Grüße senden, Ute, Gudrun, Jürgen und Peter.

Wir waren heute auf Durchreise und haben uns ganz spontan einen Tisch reserviert. Zum Glück. Denn das kleine Restaurant war nach kurzer Zeit Rappel voll. Die Kellnerin hat einen Orden verdient. So was von freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben den Eingang nicht gefunden (rechts direkt daneben, ich Blondie) und die Dame hat uns netterweise angerufen und gefragt, ob sie uns den Weg weisen soll. Das Essen war spitzenklasse, ganz kleine Karte mit saisonalen Angeboten. Super lecker und super frisch. Alles selbstgemacht. Einfach herrlich. Die restlichen Gäste waren alles Stammgäste aus der Umgebung. Wir waren die einzigen „Touris“. Kommen bei dem nächsten Zwischenstopp gern wieder.

Immer wirklich gutes Essen und herrlich erfrischende Bedienung von der Chefin persönlich. Klasse Restaurant und sehr angenehmes Ambiente.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier. Es war sehr leer und es gab nur eine Kellnerin, welche trotz der wenigen Gäste mehr als ausgelastet wirkte aber freundlich war. Die Preise halte ich für Würzburg als normal, die Portionen etwas klein bis normal, man wird aber jedenfalls satt. Unerklärlicher Weise mussten wir relativ lange (ca 45 Min) aufs Essen warten... An der Auslastung konnte es nicht liegen. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut, hat uns aber nicht umgehauen - auch wenn es sehr schön angerichtet war. Das Interieur ist vermutlich Geschmackssache... Und hat es nicht so zugesagt... Auch lief relativ laut Radio Musik was wir eher als unpassend empfanden. Vermutlich würden wir beim nächsten Mal eins der anderen deutschen Restaurants in Würzburg aufsuchen, da wir dort zufriedener waren.

Ich bin für einige Urlaubstage nach Würzburg gekommen, habe im Hotel Franziskaner gewohnt und im benachbarten gleichnamigen Restaurant mehrmals gegessen. Es war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!!! Das Essen ist total lecker und der Service unschlagbar. Eine so taffe, fröhliche, freundliche, rührige, ausgeglichene Bedienung habe ich selten erlebt. Obwohl das Lokal bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt war, behielt sie jederzeit den Überblick und die Ruhe. Ich habe mich rundherum wohl gefühlt und kann einen Aufenthalt im Franziskaner Restaurant mit seinen vielfältigen Speisen nur empfehlen.

Nur wenige Minuten von den Touristenströmen entfernt findet man dieses kleine und gemütliche Restaurant mit einer sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Bedienung (Chefin). Der Franziskaner Salat mit den Rostbratwürsten schmeckte sehr gut. Dazu wurden Baguette und ein hervorragendes hausgemachtes Kräuterdressing gereicht. Das Schäufele ist ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Dazu gab es gut gekühltes und gut gezapftes Würzburger Hofbräu. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Würzburg kommen wir gerne wieder.

Das ist kein Rachefeldzug aber ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Hatte meiner Assistentin aufgetragen mir ein nobleres Zimmer als die üblichen B&B zu buchen. Im Franziskaner ist es nicht schlecht aber auch nicht wirklich schick oder den Preisen angemessen. Das Bett war Klasse aber das Interieur eher aus der Zeit gefallen ( 80er) Möbel angemalt und etwas defekt. Parkplatz NUR öffentlich gg Gebühr und in der Gefahr für ne Knolle. Nix Besonderes im Haus. Ich kenn so Dinger mit Wellness und Schwimmbad die deutlich billiger sind! Personal ganz i.O. Restaurant weiss ich nicht weil es einfach um 8 ausgebucht war und der hungrige Hotelgast gucken könnte wo er blieb.

Das Essen und der Service top. Immer wieder gerne. Waren zum ersten Mal dort, bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal.

Der Tafelspitz war einfach super. Und dann der Nachtisch Eis mit Eierlikör, Sahne mit extra Schokostreuseln Chefin hast du super hinbekommen

Außerordentlich freundliche, aufmerksame und fröhliche Bedienung die es schafft, trotz eines vollen Restaurants, nicht nur alles im Griff zu haben, sondern sich auch noch die Zeit nimmt ein paar Worte mit den Gästen zu wechseln. 5 Sterne reichen hier nicht aus. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Wein köstlich und schön kühl temperiert. Jederzeit wieder!!!
