Gaisbock die DorfAlpe in Fischen i.Allgäu

As always, very nice and courteous service and delicious food. This time I chose spaghetti á la fish - a good choice!

Cheese spaetzle without taste, at least two main courses not available (you only find out when you order them), non-alcoholic beer not available (you only find out when the order doesn't come). We ended up waiting over an hour for the food. A loveless mass processing. Shame about the money.

We were also allowed to bring our dog with us, which we had no alternative to when we were on holiday with a dog. Culinary The menu reflects the house's concept: regional recipes. I was particularly impressed by the pork knuckle, a modern variation of a traditional recipe in which finely balanced flavors and innovative preparation techniques ensured a true taste experience. The homemade cheese spaetzle also impressed with its highest quality and sophistication. Conclusion The Gaisbock is the perfect place for everyone who wants to experience enjoyment, tradition and modern cuisine in harmony. It's not just cooking here - it's telling a story that you can taste. An absolute must if you are in the area.

Today we were in the Gaisbock the Dorfalpe. The food was very good, the service (female) was very friendly, the waiter, senior employee? unfriendly and grumpy. We have been to the Dorfalpe twice and each time we noticed that this gentleman always has problems with his mood. That makes you think about whether you want to go there again.

A very nice restaurant, great ambience, nice service. The portions are generous, so even those who are very hungry will be satisfied.

The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The service was also very friendly. We'd be happy to come back with our dog, which isn't a problem here.

We reserved a table because we saw that the Restaurant offered a couple of plant based dishes. Unfortunately the dish we ordered was not tasty at all, and was clearly labeled to have chanterelles. However we only got Champignon mushrooms and unfortunately there was some dirt in the vegetables. It also took at least 45 minutes to receive the main dish. All in all, quite a disappointing dining experience for a rather high price. The waitress was nice and tried her best on a busy evening.

Top selection of food and drinks on offer, something for everyone👌. We were very satisfied with the delicious food and especially with the friendly service👍. The ambience has also become great after the renovation. We will definitely come back on our next holiday in Fischen.

The food was ok, but the service wasn't all that friendly.

We were there on Christmas Day and really loved it. The furnishings are cozy and modern. Everything seems very tidy and aligned with a uniform concept. The service was very courteous, warm and quick from the first moment. The food was delicious. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The side dishes went very well with it. Everything was very fresh. We'll definitely be back.

Modern Alpine. Everything is super cozy and with a lot of feeling for detail...wood is the predominant element...plus beautiful, indirect lighting. Very appealing after the successful renovation. Good tasty food, good service. We like coming here from Oberstdorf. Very real prices.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed, we used to enjoy eating there. Today it was just impossible. Service disinterested we had to wait 15 minutes for the drinks to be taken. Another 10 minutes until they were at the table and after 1.5 hours we got food... unfortunately this wasn't as it should be either. The wrong side dish despite changing the order (eyes were rolled at the wish to get it as ordered) a meal was cold to lukewarm at most. No apology or understanding here either. Salad was forgotten and had to be reminded again... empty glasses on our table, no waitress feels responsible to clear things away or ask if we would like anything else... 20 minutes after the meal with empty plates at the table and 3 service staff see this and run empty into the kitchen. Impossible, just impossible and waiting forever for food and drinks is simply not possible. The gaisbock really slowed down. Very, very unfortunate We're not coming anymore

Went to the Gaisbock again today, unfortunately it has subsided significantly. It took a lot of time to take the order and it took a long time until we had the drinks. The food was served after 1h20min. Unfortunately, some of it was cold, or the side dishes were wrong and not as ordered. When we pointed this out to the waitresses, all we got was an eye roll. No apology, no good service. Guests who entered the restaurant after us had their food and drinks much earlier. We won't eat here again.

Unfortunately the service was subpar. We were sometimes ignored and had to wait a long time for our order (drinks 20 minutes, food almost 1.5 hours), then it was served cold, sometimes incorrectly, and something was forgotten. Furthermore, there was no apology, let alone an explanation that it would take some time. In my opinion, you can't behave like that towards guests. Unfortunately, despite the reasonably good food, we won't be back.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience on Boxing Day this year. It started with a long wait for the service to take the drinks, followed by another 15 minutes in which we waited for the drinks. The food was taken at the same time as the drinks and arrived over an hour later. Some of the food was cold and side dishes were forgotten or served incorrectly. After we pointed this out, eyes were rolled and no apology of any kind was forthcoming. The portion of the side dish I ordered was also significantly smaller than the normal side dish. Unfortunately, substandard service followed by substandard bill - it's not good value for money. Unfortunately there is no further visit and we do not recommend it.

Gaisbock and Kreuzwirt have the same memory card - which is disappointing. There is no unique selling point. In addition, the selection is manageable

From the outside you wouldn't think that the inside is so beautiful. We were there twice and were very satisfied. The beef roulade is absolutely delicious, but the other dishes are also recommended. It is definitely important to reserve a table. We would love to come back 🙂

The kitchen and menu are a dream. You get exceptional dishes there and not just the standard ones. The staff is very friendly and concerned about the well-being of the guest. We would love to come back.

We read about the reopening in June 24 on the Kreuzwirt homepage. Unfortunately, the restaurant was still closed on October 24th. Nevertheless, we were able to reserve a table at the Kreuzwirt online. Our reserved place was in the Gaisbock. Please be sure to adapt the website and inform us that the Kreuzwirt is still a major construction site. We were very disappointed!

I got the best cheese patties here. My stomach was not prepared for this portion. The best thing about the restaurant is the opening times with hot food all the time. Price-performance good. The furnishings are cozy with a beautiful wood look. Big praise also for the service.

Everything was good. Lots of staff, big chaos with small arguments among the staff. But I wouldn't really care if it weren't for the external embarrassment. Food top. I accepted the incorrectly served drink without complaint, as the staff exuded a strange, almost unmotivated calm despite the stress. At first there was only 1 employee, then 5, then none again. Then they took their time even though other tables were waiting... Something strange in the shop. But food and ambience 5 stars.

Ate at Kreuzwirt yesterday and at Gaisbock today. Food was very tasty. The waitress at the Kreuzwirt was very bored and gave other guests very cheeky answers. Today at Gaisbock the service was very friendly and nice.

So what can you say... except that it's MEGA! We were warmly welcomed by the staff. We were then led to our place in the very modern, but nevertheless Allgäu-adapted restaurant. Service was super nice. Very polite and attentive. “Extra requests” are taken for granted and implemented. Food 1a! Very warm, fresh and super tasty! I could write for hours… just WOW! Thank you for putting the cherry on top of our vacation on our last day🤗 We will definitely be back.

We ate at Kreuzwirt. After the change of operator, in our opinion, things turned 180 degrees for the better. Great modern yet rustic atmosphere, friendly and attentive service and a varied menu (we already knew this from the Gaisbock). We were also able to bring our dog with us without any problem. I would love to come back on my next vacation!

Food absolutely great - praise to the kitchen! Furnishings & ambience very nice. BUT: Operation/service is terrible...we were there on October 4th. The gentlemen don't think it's necessary to ask the guest if they would like anything else for dessert or drinks and to pay you have to beg three times for someone to come...if I were the boss there...but unfortunately you can do that these days with the staff problem no longer solve...

Roast pork was very good, but Schlutzkrapfen was absolutely not recommended. .. Carelessly prepared... frozen vegetables, tasteless Schlutzkrapfen...so: either cook properly and with pleasure or take it off the menu!!! Sorry.. but the service was very nice, despite criticism and the ambience was OK

Unfortunately we were late at 8:05 p.m After a 9-hour journey, we were harshly turned away, even though a “continuously warm kitchen” was advertised outside the window. Not a word of regret! For example, wouldn’t a goulash soup or “fried eggs on bread” have been possible? We felt like intruders... Thank God there are still family businesses, who welcomed us warmly as hosts!

The waiter was rude and the food was just average. The prices were high and tips were expected. Would be recommended if the service was better, but unfortunately not.

Had a spontaneous meal here today, svhweinshaxe. The dumpling and the red cabbage were delicious, but the knuckle itself was unfortunately not my cup of tea. It was crispy but unfortunately the meat itself wasn't that good. We sat there for ages and waited to pay until after a while I went in and asked to pay. Apparently our waitress had a break... The view of the mountains was great. Service partly friendly and partly not so friendly.

Onion roast was great but the side dishes especially the fried potatoes were totally greasy and old and soaked.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and it's not inviting outside because there isn't enough light coming in because the trees are too tall. Now to the food: we were greeted politely, the drinks came quite quickly, the starter of cheese soup was very spicy and excellently seasoned. The main course was very tasty and I would say very economical. Flat wine was good but a little too sour but had nice flavor notes. They forgot to bring a salad during one menu and nothing happened when asked for the second time, but there was an espresso afterwards. Otherwise everyone is nice and friendly Keep it up Thanks

Huge portion of cheese spaetzle and very tasty! Unfortunately, the waitresses are only available in their “areas”. focused and it took 20 minutes until I could finally pay while other waitresses were not busy. There are very few tips anyway, so why insist on limits?

Compared to previous years we were very disappointed with the food. The medallions were more than dead, my roast had an 8mm wide gray layer on the outside, the meat was only slightly browned, and no trace of browning on the bottom.

With the breaded schnitzel with French fries, the French fries were the main course, the schnitzels were as small as children's schnitzels.

Excellent food, great atmosphere

I was a guest at Gaisbock and ordered dinner in the completely overcrowded restaurant. Clearly not enough staff for the size of the house, because it took over 70 minutes from placing the order to serving it and - even if the house is full - that's unfortunately a bit too long. Therefore it was only a one-off visit so far. I ordered the onion roast, but everything tasted to my satisfaction. The ambience is also quite nice, there is also plenty of outdoor seating. Since the business is located on the main road, it is easily accessible.

We ate here several times during our vacation. The food is very tasty and the portions are large enough. There is also something for vegetarians. The waitresses are very friendly and it is cozy too. I can recommend everyone to eat here.

The meal with onion roast and roast pork with a perfect, crispy crust and followed by Kaiserschmarren were an absolute poem. Simply a culinary delight in a class of its own. The service staff is very friendly, always approachable and very quick and motivated. You can only rate this restaurant with 5 stars. Excellent.

We have been coming to Beim Kreuzwirt for 5 years now to have a nice meal. We entered and saw that the restaurant had been renovated, it was really beautiful. Unfortunately, that one piece of atmosphere was gone. The music was a bit loud and modern, a restaurant like this screams for nice German/Tyrolean music. It took a little longer for the service to come and we saw very little of them. Furthermore, a few favorite dishes had been removed from the menu, which was a shame, but the Kässpatzen are always delicious here!

So what can I say. We waited an hour for the food. Way too long waiting time. But the crowning glory is the waiter. So unfriendly, he goes into the basement to laugh. The food was OK, but you can't go wrong with a schnitzel and fries. The price of the food, well just at the threshold of pain.

I can only recommend it, very good food

During my vacation I regularly went to the Gaisbock in Fischen, sometimes just for a beer, but more often for food. Regularly means great satisfaction, both with the food and with the ambience and service. When natural friendliness and humor come together and even smaller wishes are fulfilled as a matter of course, you have everything you need. If there weren't over 600 kilometers between my home and the Gaisbock, they could set up a place there just for me. Gladly on the bench in front of the house. Then next year we'll have a big beer and a pot roast from the oven :)

When we arrived, we (three people) were warmly welcomed and, despite the house being full and without a reservation, we were asked to sit at a large table. So far everything is good. Unfortunately it took over a full hour for us to get our food - so I say it's better to tell guests that you're full and there's no more room than to make us wait that long. The burger was ordered without cheese and when it was served at the table it appeared to be served with cheese. Unfortunately, the already unfriendly waiter didn't understand our criticism (it was probably just the kitchen help who was sent out and didn't speak German 🤷🏻‍♂️) and took the burger away again. Another person (now the 3rd person for our table) came back and explained to us that the mustard-based burger sauce looked like melted cheese, but it wasn't cheese. In addition, when serving, the waiter didn't even wait for an answer to his question about who would get what food, but rather hastily gave the dishes to the wrong person. After paying for our meal, the first waitress asked us if everything was okay. When we commented that the waiter who served us our food could have been friendlier, he only responded with “I’ll pass it on” without a word of apology. Conclusion: The food was tasty, but we won't be returning!

Were there for the second time today, and like the first time, it was great. Food very good, service super friendly and price performance more than good. We recommend the restaurant without reservation.

Nice restaurant with a great selection of food. Bavarian modern. There is also something for vegetarians. The Kaiserschmarrn as the main course was huge and I couldn't manage it. 😄 We had reserved a long time in advance and unfortunately were allocated a stupid seat for four. Overall it was a bit too "loud".

Food is great...service is poor, for a restaurant in this price range. Children aren't really welcome either. Drinks took ages to be consumed. Service very unfriendly. When we were here in February without children, it was completely the opposite, although we were there without children. Despite the good food, we won't be coming back!
