A very nice and very cozy facility. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was good to very good depending on the dish.

As with every fishing holiday, we ate at Gaisbock this year too. As always, it was very tasty, the service is great and the portions are sufficient. We especially enjoyed the beef ribs.

First-class food, extremely friendly and courteous staff. Although we visited the restaurant with 14 people, we received our food at the same time. Always beautiful!

The prices aren't particularly cheap, but they're still okay. We've been there several times. We also really enjoyed our visit. We'll definitely be back.

Everything was good. Lots of staff, big chaos with small arguments among the staff. But I wouldn't really care if it weren't for the external embarrassment. Food top. I accepted the incorrectly served drink without complaint, as the staff exuded a strange, almost unmotivated calm despite the stress. At first there was only 1 employee, then 5, then none again. Then they took their time even though other tables were waiting... Something strange in the shop. But food and ambience 5 stars.

Ate at Kreuzwirt yesterday and at Gaisbock today. Food was very tasty. The waitress at the Kreuzwirt was very bored and gave other guests very cheeky answers. Today at Gaisbock the service was very friendly and nice.

So what can you say... except that it's MEGA! We were warmly welcomed by the staff. We were then led to our place in the very modern, but nevertheless Allgäu-adapted restaurant. Service was super nice. Very polite and attentive. “Extra requests” are taken for granted and implemented. Food 1a! Very warm, fresh and super tasty! I could write for hours… just WOW! Thank you for putting the cherry on top of our vacation on our last day🤗 We will definitely be back.

We ate at Kreuzwirt. After the change of operator, in our opinion, things turned 180 degrees for the better. Great modern yet rustic atmosphere, friendly and attentive service and a varied menu (we already knew this from the Gaisbock). We were also able to bring our dog with us without any problem. I would love to come back on my next vacation!

Food absolutely great - praise to the kitchen! Furnishings & ambience very nice. BUT: Operation/service is terrible...we were there on October 4th. The gentlemen don't think it's necessary to ask the guest if they would like anything else for dessert or drinks and to pay you have to beg three times for someone to come...if I were the boss there...but unfortunately you can do that these days with the staff problem no longer solve...

Roast pork was very good, but Schlutzkrapfen was absolutely not recommended. .. Carelessly prepared... frozen vegetables, tasteless Schlutzkrapfen...so: either cook properly and with pleasure or take it off the menu!!! Rustic, typically Bavarian furnished restaurant. This was our second time eating there. Everything is great, price/performance is good, you get enough on your plate, service is very nice and accommodating. 5*

The waiter was rude and the food was just average. The prices were high and tips were expected. Would be recommended if the service was better, but unfortunately not.

Unfortunately we were late at 8:05 p.m After a 9-hour journey, we were harshly turned away, even though a “continuously warm kitchen” was advertised outside the window. Not a word of regret! For example, wouldn’t a goulash soup or “fried eggs on bread” have been possible? We felt like intruders... Thank God there are still family businesses, who welcomed us warmly as hosts!

Onion roast was great but the side dishes especially the fried potatoes were totally greasy and old and soaked.

Had a spontaneous meal here today, svhweinshaxe. The dumpling and the red cabbage were delicious, but the knuckle itself was unfortunately not my cup of tea. It was crispy but unfortunately the meat itself wasn't that good. We sat there for ages and waited to pay until after a while I went in and asked to pay. Apparently our waitress had a break... The view of the mountains was great. Service partly friendly and partly not so friendly.

The atmosphere is very nice and the food is great. The staff is very friendly. There is no smell of food in the interior at all, which means that the exhaust system must be really good. We would definitely go there again.

Huge portion of cheese spaetzle and very tasty! Unfortunately, the waitresses are only available in their “areas”. focused and it took 20 minutes until I could finally pay while other waitresses were not busy. There are very few tips anyway, so why insist on limits?

Very nice place, doesn't quite come close to a beer garden. The room inside is very cozy but also a little loud.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and it's not inviting outside because there isn't enough light coming in because the trees are too tall. Now to the food: we were greeted politely, the drinks came quite quickly, the starter of cheese soup was very spicy and excellently seasoned. The main course was very tasty and I would say very economical. Flat wine was good but a little too sour but had nice flavor notes. They forgot to bring a salad during one menu and nothing happened when asked for the second time, but there was an espresso afterwards. Otherwise everyone is nice and friendly Keep it up Thanks

Compared to previous years we were very disappointed with the food. The medallions were more than dead, my roast had an 8mm wide gray layer on the outside, the meat was only slightly browned, and no trace of browning on the bottom.

With the breaded schnitzel with French fries, the French fries were the main course, the schnitzels were as small as children's schnitzels.

Excellent food, great atmosphere

I was a guest at Gaisbock and ordered dinner in the completely overcrowded restaurant. Clearly not enough staff for the size of the house, because it took over 70 minutes from placing the order to serving it and - even if the house is full - that's unfortunately a bit too long. Therefore it was only a one-off visit so far. I ordered the onion roast, but everything tasted to my satisfaction. The ambience is also quite nice, there is also plenty of outdoor seating. Since the business is located on the main road, it is easily accessible.

We ate here several times during our vacation. The food is very tasty and the portions are large enough. There is also something for vegetarians. The waitresses are very friendly and it is cozy too. I can recommend everyone to eat here.

The meal with onion roast and roast pork with a perfect, crispy crust and followed by Kaiserschmarren were an absolute poem. Simply a culinary delight in a class of its own. The service staff is very friendly, always approachable and very quick and motivated. You can only rate this restaurant with 5 stars. Excellent.

We have been coming to Beim Kreuzwirt for 5 years now to have a nice meal. We entered and saw that the restaurant had been renovated, it was really beautiful. Unfortunately, that one piece of atmosphere was gone. The music was a bit loud and modern, a restaurant like this screams for nice German/Tyrolean music. It took a little longer for the service to come and we saw very little of them. Furthermore, a few favorite dishes had been removed from the menu, which was a shame, but the Kässpatzen are always delicious here!

So what can I say. We waited an hour for the food. Way too long waiting time. But the crowning glory is the waiter. So unfriendly, he goes into the basement to laugh. The food was OK, but you can't go wrong with a schnitzel and fries. The price of the food, well just at the threshold of pain.

During my vacation I regularly went to the Gaisbock in Fischen, sometimes just for a beer, but more often for food. Regularly means great satisfaction, both with the food and with the ambience and service. When natural friendliness and humor come together and even smaller wishes are fulfilled as a matter of course, you have everything you need. If there weren't over 600 kilometers between my home and the Gaisbock, they could set up a place there just for me. Gladly on the bench in front of the house. Then next year we'll have a big beer and a pot roast from the oven :)

I can only recommend it, very good food

When we arrived, we (three people) were warmly welcomed and, despite the house being full and without a reservation, we were asked to sit at a large table. So far everything is good. Unfortunately it took over a full hour for us to get our food - so I say it's better to tell guests that you're full and there's no more room than to make us wait that long. The burger was ordered without cheese and when it was served at the table it appeared to be served with cheese. Unfortunately, the already unfriendly waiter didn't understand our criticism (it was probably just the kitchen help who was sent out and didn't speak German 🤷🏻‍♂️) and took the burger away again. Another person (now the 3rd person for our table) came back and explained to us that the mustard-based burger sauce looked like melted cheese, but it wasn't cheese. In addition, when serving, the waiter didn't even wait for an answer to his question about who would get what food, but rather hastily gave the dishes to the wrong person. After paying for our meal, the first waitress asked us if everything was okay. When we commented that the waiter who served us our food could have been friendlier, he only responded with “I’ll pass it on” without a word of apology. Conclusion: The food was tasty, but we won't be returning!

The Kaiserschmarrn as the main course was huge and I couldn't manage it. 😄 We had reserved a long time in advance and unfortunately were allocated a stupid seat for four. Overall it was a bit too "loud".

Food is great...service is poor, for a restaurant in this price range. Children aren't really welcome either. Drinks took ages to be consumed. Service very unfriendly. When we were here in February without children, it was completely the opposite, although we were there without children. Despite the good food, we won't be coming back!

We were totally disappointed - we just assumed the good reviews but unfortunately they weren't true at all. Our food was already delivered cold, but because that wasn't all, we also got a meal that wasn't ready yet. I ordered a roast pork, which unfortunately wasn't delivered. My father ordered a fish, which unfortunately was really disgusting The only dish that we enjoyed was my son's fries. I hope that this post will not be removed this time since it is my review for this restaurant.

Not friendly upon arrival, it took a long time to order drinks. Not flexible, I wanted fries and a small salad instead of vegetables and fried potatoes. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to roast the roast. We sat outside between 2 houses with large umbrellas. There was no sun, but there was no air on a warm day. Inside the restaurant it is very nice with lots of wood but modern/traditional.

What a shame, we ordered by phone and were told 6 p.m., we would arrive at that time and no one knew anything about it... let alone that anyone had taken care of us... the "nice" lady at the counter had such a stupid and rude manner hard to believe. Unfortunately, we found that we cannot agree with the positive reviews. The service with the short blonde hair was very unfriendly from the start and unfortunately not customer-oriented. We could also observe this behavior when dealing with other customers, especially when dealing with children. Since this didn't change the entire time we were there, we decided not to tip (which we don't normally do). When the lady noticed this during the payment process, she simply said "Thank you" and left. On the subject of food: The food was okay, but nothing earth-shattering. Except the schnitzel “Viennese style” which was incredibly thin, too thin for our taste (more breading than meat). Not recommended!!!

The Gaisbock serves traditional Allgäu dishes. Large portions, very tasty, great value for money.

Das Ambiente ist super schön und lädt zum verweilen ein. Das Servicepersonal war da, muss aber nicht großartig erwähnt werden, übermäßige Freundlichkeit darf man hier nicht erwarten. Das Essen (Kässpatzen und Schnitzel Wiener Art) war gut, vorab hatten wir sauren Käse der in unseren Augen MEGA war. Man sollte vorab reservieren, es ist zwar recht groß dort, aber eben auch gut besucht und die Open air Plätze sind minimal.

My wife and I were in the Gaisbock again. Yes, it is very full, like all restaurants in Fischen during the holiday season. You have to expect a waiting time, which we are aware of. However, the service should not suffer as a result. Unfriendly, impolite service staff is an absolute no go. After 20 minutes, the lady (wordlessly) threw the menus onto the table as she walked past. The drinks came 30 minutes after ordering. After 65 minutes of waiting, my wife politely asked when the food could arrive. The waitress said it was coming. The note that we ordered over an hour ago was commented on with: they came last (6:50 p.m.) if you don't want to wait that long, you have to write it down like that next time. Ah yes. How should you answer that? Here the saying that Germany is a service desert and that guests are threatened with an order is absolutely valid. You feel unwanted here. Unfortunately. Because fishing is a holiday region and more people want to dine at the same time than there are tables available and everything is full again the next day, you don't have to make an effort to accommodate the guest. We preferred to leave the restaurant (without waiting any longer for the order).

Very nice restaurant and extremely friendly staff. However, prices are very exclusive and the food wasn't really convincing. But we give 4 stars for the ambience and staff.

The food (burgers, schnitzel and Krautkrapfen) was okay. The waiting times are a little longer but okay. The large number of staff seem a bit uncoordinated. Unfortunately, the live band was far too loud, so you couldn't have a conversation while eating.

Welcome to the best economy in the Allgäu! We just had dinner at “Gaisbock” and what can I say. It was terrific. The restaurant is beautifully and stylishly furnished. We had 2 starter soups and a Kaiserschmarren as well as drinks. The service was top. Today we had to wait a little longer for the main course but that wasn't a bad thing at all. The waitresses were super friendly and accommodating and apologized several times. So really to everyone who works there, you're doing a great job and we really couldn't have felt more comfortable. You guys are great ! The soups also tasted great and the Kaiserschmarren was the best we have ever eaten. Really terrific and a huge compliment to the kitchen. In general, we felt very comfortable and are happy to be able to recommend this restaurant and come back again. We are already looking forward to this economy on our next Allgäu vacation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this great experience and the hospitality! P.S.: The turntable was awesome!

Unfortunately, we waited far too long for Käsespätzle. In terms of quantity, it's rather too much, and not recommended in terms of consistency and taste. There is a linguistic barrier to communicating with the service staff. It wasn't really possible to communicate well which beer was on tap and which one you actually received. Unfortunately, it's far too big for the few staff to have an overview, 2 indoor areas and an outdoor area... Once you've been served, you can be seated instead. Unfortunately, the culinary experience and service quality are not sufficient. One imagines a village economy to be better managed. Here you are just fobbed off.... 😢

We had dinner at “Gaisbock” today. We previously reserved a table for two people using the online function and received a confirmation email (online because no one could be reached by phone, we were on hold). Unfortunately, when we got there, no one knew about our reservation. We were then seated at a long table. The lady who welcomed us (an older woman) seemed very stressed and stroppy, which was reflected in her tone towards us. The other service staff also seemed very overwhelmed, but they were always helpful and friendly. The food and the ambience were good. Price performance, okay. However, we heard minor complaints from other guests, which made us skeptical while we waited. However, everything was fine with us.

We reserved a table online. Which luckily we did. It was very busy this evening so use the table reservation on the website. The waitresses quickly escorted us to our table. There is a digital card with our names on the table. We really liked the rustic atmosphere with new know-how. The menu was clear and not overwhelming. There is really good old German cuisine here at a normal price. The food was really tasty and a well-filled plate. We recommend the restaurant. Check it out and enjoy the ambience.
