Despite the busy times and long waiting times, the food was very accommodating, looked after each and every guest and in the end it was delicious.

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of the Allgäu region! Delicious dishes and very friendly, attentive service. All around fantastic.

This was our first time here and we'll reserve a table again on our next trip. Excellent value for money. A very friendly server and incredibly delicious food. We can definitely recommend the Salerno.

For us, every stay in Fischen (or the surrounding area) includes a visit to Salerno. Whether it's pasta, meat, or fish, the food is always of the highest quality and tastes excellent. I can't comment on the pizza; I haven't had it yet. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, even when there are new people there who are still learning the ropes and/or are struggling with German. The ambiance, especially on the terrace, is relatively simple. When I look at other reviews for Salerno, I think it's a shame and unfair to give it a poor overall rating just because I didn't like the price structure. Good products, good food, great service. That comes at a price. You can get cheap pizzas, including foil, at Aldi. The price-performance ratio at Salerno is good for me.

Pasta is sooooooo delicious.. fresh and very tasty. Highly recommended

I managed to snag a table at short notice on the day of my arrival. It wasn't cheap, but the service was great and the food was really good quality (especially the fish soup – buono!). So it was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it! 👍

We visited this restaurant two evenings during our short trip because we enjoyed it so much the first evening. Very friendly staff, and the food left nothing to be desired. The menu is small, which I personally like and see as a plus – the ingredients were all fresh. I'd love to come back here on my next short trip. Just for the limoncello. :-)

We spent a short vacation in Fischen and ate here twice. On the first evening, it was after 8:30 p.m., so unfortunately, the restaurants serving German cuisine weren't serving anything. At Salerno, however, we received a friendly welcome and had such a good meal that we went back on our last evening. The food is truly delicious, and the staff are all very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a total profit maximization effort! Overpriced pizzas with meager toppings. For example, the salami pizza is quite large but only has 5 slices of salami. A children's pizza is only one euro less. Leftovers are wrapped in aluminum foil, folded over. Beer is overpriced. Despite the large number of guests, it doesn't seem to bother anyone. So, you can just do it. To top it off, they charged an extra one euro for the small amount of aluminum foil used to wrap the folded leftovers (three times less than half pizzas). At least it tasted good. That's what we call experience gastronomy.

The food was good but very expensive. A children's pizza with 5 slices of salami was 1 euro cheaper than a regular pizza. The beer cost just under 6 euros. We ate there with a large group and ended up with a correspondingly large bill. However, they still charged us an additional 1 euro for wrapping the children's leftovers in aluminum foil. When you charge prices like that, a little bit of customer service is also part of the package, in my opinion.

Salerno is an exceptionally good Italian restaurant that offers much more than the classic combination of pizza and pasta. In addition to classic Italian cuisine, the restaurant impresses with excellently prepared meat dishes and fresh fish – all of a consistently high standard. The ambiance is simple but pleasant – not luxurious, but cozy and perfectly in keeping with the rural character of the surrounding area. The rooms are functional, yet lovingly designed and perfectly adequate. The entire team does a fantastic job. The service is attentive, friendly, and very professional. Salerno is clearly one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the region around Fischen and Oberstdorf – highly recommended!

The food is excellent, the service is very friendly and attentive. Since there are no textiles in the restaurant (carpet, curtains, other soundproofing), it is unbearably loud, conversation is almost impossible, it's a shame, it's not relaxing.

Was there for dinner today. After ordering, the starter arrived shortly after. Taste wise a 10/10. I finished the starter and then came the main course. One after the other, as it should be :) There's nothing wrong with the price/performance ratio! Super friendly staff, be it in service or in the bar. A few weeks ago I went for a hike in Fischen and got a pizza to take away that evening. It was "just" a Mageritha, but it was definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Everything was really right there. Nice and thick and juicy, not too crispy and fluffy. The fact that I'm still raving about it weeks later probably speaks volumes. So I don't want to miss out on giving this 5 stars. A nice greeting to the cook.

Food was very good and staff friendly and attentive

Food good but not cheap I knew that. But when I then pay 0.25 euros for a carton (so that my children can take their leftovers with them) with a bill of over 75 euros and the beer, which is not cheap either, is not full to the calibration mark, then I get a pulse. Then please don't complain if there is no tip and that the rating won't be good. You can definitely do better. Addendum: The selection could also be a little larger. 6 pizzas and only the margarita is vegetarian. Could also be a little more ;-)

So we've been going here for years, sometimes twice a week and have never fallen in. No matter what you order, everything tastes great. I can only recommend it and they also pay attention to the quality of the goods. Of course there is also seafood for less but then frozen food from the discounter.

The best pizza I've ever eaten. There are now Indian or Pakistani pizza sellers who call themselves Italian but have no idea about pizza. This restaurant was absolutely the best both the food and friendly and nice staff. It's a shame that there are only a few of these in Germany.

We ate here with a group and were very positively surprised. The welcome was very warm, which made you immediately feel welcome. The menu is quite small. But the courts were very convincing. Everything tasted freshly prepared and exceeded all expectations. At the beginning there was even a delicious greeting from the kitchen. Since we were celebrating a birthday, there was a little surprise at the end. But I don't want to reveal too much here. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. Despite the fact that we were a larger group, the staff didn't seem stressed or overwhelmed and were always very friendly. We were very satisfied overall and would definitely like to come back.

Average Italian. Unfortunately the price performance is no longer right. o.5 beer: Euro 5.50 that's where it slowly ends. The pizzas are ok but expensive and not particularly tasty. All in all: oh well.

Small but nice. The food was quite OK. I had ravioli with sage. I didn't taste much of the sage. The ravioli only tasted like something when we added garlic to it. Garlic for the pizza costs 80 cents. Coca Cola is on the menu. So I ordered these too. However, I got a completely different, snail-paced drink. When I asked what kind of cola it was, I was told it was from the dispenser, but not Coca Cola. The service didn't respond to my comment that I didn't like it. The cruel cola was also charged in full. I would have expected that I would be offered an alternative drink or that the cola wouldn't be on the bill. Unfortunately, customer orientation can still be improved here.

Hatten dort einen schönen Abend mit Bruscetta, Pizza und frischer Seezunge. Alle Gerichte sehr gut und Preiswert. Ambiente schön gemütlich und die Tische waren geschmackvoll eingedeckt. Kommen definitiv wieder !

Das Ambiente sehr ansprechend. Man wird sehr freundlich empfangen. Zu meinem Essen: ich hatte einen Salat-Teller mit Garnelen. Er bestand fast ausschließlich aus Ruccola hatte 4 getrocknete in Öl eingelegte Tomaten und 4 halbe Minitomaten, 4 Garnelen. Dazu gab es 2 Scheiben Baguette Brot. War leider enttäuscht und hatte eine andere Erwartung. Service sehr aufmerksam

We konden hier nog redelijk laat terecht (de meeste restaurants serveren geen eten meer na 20.30u). We konden enkel nog pizza eten maar dat was ok voor ons. De bediening was snel en correct. Ons eten was er ook snel.

Fabelhaftes Essen zu absolut fairem Preis, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal! Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen tollen Ausblick. Man merkt dass in jedes Gericht viel Arbeit und Fürsorge fließt. Wir hatten die Linguini mit Trüffel und Ravioli in Salbei-Soße und dazu schmackhafte Weine. Als es zu Regnen begann hat das Personal schnell geschaltet und alle Gäste neu platziert und für alle gesorgt. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend und können es einfach nur weiter empfehlen!

Essen Top, Service Top nur die Getränke... (keine echte Cola?) Dafür waren die Preise für die Geteänke dann etwas hoch.

Шикарный ресторанчик. Атмосфера супер, маленький семейный. Еда была отличная, брали 2 разных блюда из баранины, оба шикарные по своему. В бурату шли не самые лучшие помидоры, но из-за общей атмосферы они тоже были вкусные. Очень хотелось еще пиццу заказать, но уже физически не съесть было бы невозможно. Всем советую, прийти и насладиться

Super lieliska vieta, kur ieturēt maltīti. Pasūtījām picas. Tas bija lieliskas. Mana dēla skatiens pēc pirmā salami picas kumosa izteica visu. Tā esot bijusi pati labākā salami pica, ko viņš bija ēdis. Un ticiet man, viņš ir apēdis ļoti daudz salami picu. Fonā skanēja itāļu mūzika un ik pa laikam viesmīļi pat piedziedāja tām līdz. Apkalpošana laipna un ātra. Kad brauksim uz to pusi, 100% iegriezīsimies vēl (obligati).

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub mehrmals im Salerno in Fischen zum Abendessen da es uns so gut gefallen und geschmeckt hat. Erster Kontakt mit Antonio Marmo (Service/Bedienung) war wirklich sehr angenehm. Unsere Reservierungs- und Sonderwünsche wurden, obwohl man uns nicht kannte, gerne umgesetzt. Bestellungen wurden schnell aufgenommen, Getränke sofort an den Tisch gebracht und auf das Essen haben wir auch nicht lange gewartet. Das Essen von Domenico Marmo (Koch) hat uns von der Vorspeise über das Hauptgericht bis zur Nachspeise absolut umgehauen, wir waren schon lange nicht mehr so gut italienisch Essen. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch im Oberallgäu auf jeden Fall wieder bei den zwei Brüdern vorbeischauen. Alles in allem echt empfehlenswert und einen Besuch wert. Wir waren auf der Suche nach einer Cocktailbar in Fischen. Haben nichts gefunden und sind im Salerno gestrandet. Der Kellner bot uns neben den Getränken auf der Karte an, einen Fruchtcocktail mit frischem Obst zu mixen. Top Service! Morgen gehen wir hier Essen.

Tomatensalat mit Mozzarella bestand aus ca. 12 kleinen halben Tomaten und einer ganzen Kugel Mozzarella!? Und das für 12,90€ ? Pizza war okay, aber der Boden weder knusprig noch besonders schmackhaft

Die Auswahl an "leichteren Gerichten" gab es nicht. Keine Tomatensuppe, die Salate eignen sich eher als Vorspeise, Tomaten mit Mozzarella = 5 kleine Minitomaten, halbiert, und dazu eine ganze(!) Packung Mozzarella. Die Pizza eher mittelmäßig, der Boden viel zu weich.

Super freundlicher Service! Koch spitze, und das Essen wirklich fantastisch! Hatte einen wundervollen Abend mit meiner Familie, auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen.

Nel complesso abbiamo mangiato bene, prezzo accettabile. Servizio buono. Ottimi dolci. Forse coordinare meglio l'uscita dei piatti per far mangiare tutti i insoeme

Es ist uns echt noch nie passiert dass wir essen gegangen waren, 110€ für 2 Erwachsene und ein Kind bezahlt haben und danach total hungrig nach Hause gekommen sind und noch unseren Kühlschrank geplündert haben. Das Essen auf dem Teller war total lieblos angerichtet. Paar Kartoffeln, vermutlich Tiefkühlkost und 3 kleine Stückchen Fleisch plus ein Minisalat ohne Souce ist für 24€ reine abzocke. Am schlimmsten fanden wir dass uns für die Beilagewechsel, da mein Mann Oregano nicht verträgt, zusätzlich 3,90€ verlangt wurde und den Salat, obwohl es bei dem Gericht dabei gewesen wäre nicht gegeben wurde, weil wir ja Beilage geändert hatten. Ist total lächerlich und unlogisch. Man kauft ein Gericht wo Kartoffeln und Salat dabei sind und bekommt aber wenn man Beilage wechselt kein Salat aber für den Wechsel bezahlt man Geld. Ich sage da nur "Nie wieder Salerno"

There came a dish that wowed me as it arrived with a generous amount of sliced truffle flakes. Dug into it and regretted not taking a picture of it. Presentation is half the pleasure. My wife's seafood pasta was amazing, just wondered how they managed to get fresh tasting seafood to the northern side of the Alps. Not to forget the owner's warm welcome. 5 stars well deserved
