Since I am on October 19th. It's my birthday, so we thought we'd go to Alzenau to the Alte Post and have dinner there! The table for three people was reserved in advance! We, my wife, my son and I, were in the restaurant on October 19th, 2024 BEFORE 5:30 p.m.! (There was live music from 6:30 p.m.) The first impression was good! Ambience is quite ok! Order went quickly! We ordered two beef roulades with dumplings and red cabbage and a vegan burger! Plus 1x large bottle of water, 1x house lemonade and 1x injected apple juice! The food came quickly, (feels like 10…15 minutes) However, the roulades were also cold! My partner's food wasn't any better either (lukewarm) The roulade filling is partially refrigerator cold! Dumplings and red cabbage also lukewarm! Vegan burger, according to my son, was good! Tip from me. Leave the food in the microwave for a minute longer, but reduce the power by 30%! Service three stars Food two stars! Ultimately more appearance than reality. However, according to the service staff, the store was completely booked! But that's McDonald's too! To be honest, I'm not one to rate a restaurant, but this one was really wrong. Sorry

Sehr nette Bewirtung bei netten Gästen. Die Unhöflichkeit der Gäste lässt man sich nicht gefallen, was auch gut so ist. Essen auch sehr lecker und reichhaltig, kommen gerne wider.

In terms of taste, the dishes are convincing and well thought out, but the presentation of the dishes could have been a little more creative. The pike perch fillet was served on a plain plate, without that certain something in the presentation. The same applied to my companion's beef steak, which was wonderfully tender and perfectly fried, but appeared a little plainer than expected. Nevertheless: The quality of the ingredients and the delicate seasoning of the dishes were without a doubt excellent. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh and crunchy side dishes that round off every dish. The crunchy vegetables and fresh herbs emphasize the good taste of the cuisine and more than make up for the small compromises in appearance. Conclusion The Köpenicker Seeterrassen impress with a dream location, a quiet and elegant atmosphere and a service that leaves nothing to be desired. The view of the Dahme is a real highlight that makes the visit a special experience. If the kitchen were a little more creative in the presentation of its dishes, the restaurant could undoubtedly be a top culinary destination. Nevertheless: For a relaxed evening by the water and a good meal, the restaurant is a first-class choice that we can only recommend.

Very nice old restaurant, top service and great food

Absolute no-go! Two weeks ago I reserved a table for 4 people on Saturday evening. We chose the inn specifically because of the much-praised duck and accepted a 40-minute journey. 1 day before (Friday afternoon) I called to pre-order half a duck twice for Saturday evening. The reaction of the female operator on the phone was that I didn't have to call because they don't have duck in the evening anyway - combined with a smug smile. When we wanted to place our order the following day at 6:40 p.m., the waiter in charge of our service informed us that duck was unfortunately out. Our disappointment in connection with the explanation that we had made a special request about this the day before. We made it clear that we had called. However, after we were very hungry we decided to stay and order alternatives. One choice was a Viennese veal schnitzel with fried potatoes. We asked that the fried potatoes be prepared without onions, which was confirmed - but the dish was served with onions - a mistake on the part of the kitchen as it turned out. Our waiter Jermaine (who had to listen to our displeasure for the second time and who couldn't do anything about the two mistakes) reacted very professionally and quickly organized a portion of bar potatoes without onions for the schnitzel. And he also donated a lavish dessert platter with dessert variations for the ducks that were no longer available despite having been ordered in advance. Thank you very much for that and once again big praise to Jermaine for dealing with these situations professionally! The other dishes chosen (roast pork and pork fillet medallions) were ok - although the fillet medallions were cut extremely long and we were wondering how you get "mini schnitzels" cut from a fillet for such a long time. And the roast pork was also better remembered. In summary, we can say that on Saturday evening we felt more like a "mass processing" and we will choose another inn for our planned duck meal.

We were totally satisfied with the food. Ate there 2 evenings. Whether it was fish, zander, various schnitzel, fried potatoes, baked potatoes or fries, it was all delicious. The staff was super nice, we can only recommend Dat Schnitzelhus.

If you want to eat really good German food in a relaxed, pleasant, rustic atmosphere, this is the place for you. The cuisine is unbeatable, the service is super friendly. Also ideal for groups. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Very bad food. Made cheap. Schnitzel from the fryer, fried potatoes served almost raw, salad in the small pot that was on the plate. Overall everything is ready for a lot of money. An outrage. Never again.

Es war wieder unglaublich schön....Eine absolut liebevolle Betreuung..und echt sehr sehr lecker. Wir hatten mit 20 reserviert, waren dann 23 , war kein Problem ,und alle hatten zeitgleich ihr Essen , was echt sehr lecker war. Ich kannte es schon vor 10 Jahren und die Qualität , ja,war noch besser. Also...unbedingt da einkehren. Alle ganz lieb...menschlich eben Ein großes Herz ❤ von mir. Das war ein sehr wichtiges Treffen für mich, es sollte alles passen und es war perfekt. DANKE

A beautiful, original and cozy restaurant. Price/performance are absolutely fine. The staff was very friendly. There are parking spaces in front of the house, but the number is limited. The large beer garden, which will open from May 1st, looks very promising. When the weather is nice you can also sit on the cozy terrace. We'd love to come back!!!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen (Frikadelle mit Schmorzwiebeln, Bratkartoffeln und Salat) war ausgezeichnet, hat sehr gut geschmeckt und war in Menge, Qualität und Preis absolut in Ordnung. Empfehlenswert, wenn man mal gut bürgerlich westfälisch speisen möchte und ordentlich Appetit mitbringt. Die urige Einrichtung ist noch positiv zu erwähnen. Kleines Manko: Die Toiletten sind ein wenig eng... Und die schönen alten Gemälde sollten evtl. mal gereinigt werden.... Ansonsten: Alles prima!

I come here often. The food is good and also very plentiful. Price and performance are completely acceptable and you can sit and relax here in a cozy atmosphere!
