So far my favorite schnitzel restaurant in Ffm :) huge portions, enough sauce and side dishes. The salad dressing is also very tasty. The employees are tough, but nice. Always happy to come back.

Proper local food with welcoming host. Their green sauce is very refreshing and tastes great with meat. Sausage was also juicy and potato mash was delicious too. A service charge is required to add on if you wish to pay by card.

Traditional cider farm with very good food that you can also go to as a “Frankfurter”. As a vegan, I couldn't eat anything but salad in such restaurants for years, and finally there's a vegan Frankfurter Schnitzel which is absolutely amazing! We now live on Lake Constance, but whenever we are in our old homeland, a meal at Atschel is a MUST for us! 👌😊

Restaurant review I recently visited this beautiful, rustic pub and absolutely loved it! As soon as I entered the restaurant I was warmly welcomed by the very friendly staff, which immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding – fresh, tasty and served in really generous portions. Nobody goes home hungry here! I was particularly enthusiastic about the cider from Bembel, which went perfectly with the food and underlined the traditional touch of the house. The price-performance ratio is also great: the prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity of the food. Overall a great experience in a cozy environment. I can highly recommend this pub and will definitely be back soon!

Yes, very good food with a good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Frankfurt residents have been going there for a long time. Parking is generally very difficult in Sachsenhausen, so it's best to get there by public transport or by bike.

A very nice, historic Frankfurt apple wine bar with a wide selection of hearty Hessian and other dishes at fair prices. The service staff is friendly and responds to special requests. The restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor area. After the really excellent meal, there was an “Äppelche” or as they also say: a Frankfurt fruit salad on the house. At its heart, this is a solid place. Food is excellent, as is the apfelwein. Service, though, is a bit rough. The staff seemed overrun, even though the restaurant was maybe 80% full at 7pm. Several dishes I tried to order were out of stock. It took 15min to get my apfelwein from the time I ordered it. All that said, the cheese tartar with bread was delicious, as were the pork ribs. I wanted dessert, but they took so long to clear my table that I ran out of time. One other note: you have to spend 50 EUR to use a credit card, otherwise they make you pay cash.

Thanks for the friendly service. The drinks were very tasty. The visit is generally only possible in conjunction with eating food in the location. I'd love to come back. Reservations are mandatory, especially on weekends. If you want to eat here on the weekend, you need to make a reservation early. When I was there, those who hadn't reserved were being turned away and there was a small queue for spaces to become available.

Nice, rustic, typical inn with delicious cider and hearty food. The small dining room contributes to the rustic atmosphere. Food and drinks are good. Unfortunately I have to deduct stars because card payments are only accepted from 50 euros. Regardless of whether it is allowed or not, this is bad service. It becomes all the more bizarre because a card payment for a small amount was categorically rejected ('Even if you don't have any cash with you, I'm not allowed to accept a card for less than 50 euros'), but there was no change for the subsequent cash payment 🙈

Wonderful cuisine, particularly enjoyed the meat dishes. The staff is attentive and polite and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal.

As always, packed full. But there was still space in the winter garden. The Schäufelchen and the Mettwurst on kale were ordered. Everything excellent. In my opinion, the little shovel can no longer be topped. For dessert we had the baked apple rings with ice cream - there was nothing to complain about either. I hope the quality of the food stays that way. Addendum: We were there again - the Schäufelchen was great as always, but also the "small" schnitzel on a potato pancake and of course the Frankfurter schnitzel are impressive.

I was here some 15 years ago and never forgot the place. Just superb meal and so much food.

Lovely traditional restaurant with local cuisine! We had the Frankfurter Sausage with sauerkraut and the ‘Grüne Soße’ (=green sauce) with boiled potatoes and eggs, apple wine and a small beer from the tap. Friendly and quick service and the food was delicious! The Green Sauce dish seemed a bit pricey to me as it was about double the price of the pair of Frankfurter. We were lucky to get a table in the afternoon and heard it was already fully booked, so maybe make a reservation in advance if you can!

Experienced a lunch in a very Typical German restaurant. Highly suggest the shnitzel with mushroom cream, very good. Service is great as well and the price are very convenient for a Sunday outside with family.

I had frankfurter schnitzel and apple wine. There is a lot of schnitzel, but it is expensive at 20 euros. The taste is just so-so. The atmosphere is good. It's not a place where you have to go looking for it to be delicious.

The place is amazing and it’s such a great spot to enjoy German food and drink Apfelwein! The portions are great and totally match the prices. Somehow our order took longer because they overlooked it, but they tended to it very quickly and the staff were so friendly to us and apologised. This is definitely one of the best places ever! I recommend booking a table though because it’s really popular and is always super full. Once you go there you’ll understand why ;)

Cozy apple winery in Sachsenhausen with excellent food, friendly service and delicious apple wine. The Tafelspitz with fried potatoes and green sauce is the best I have eaten in Frankfurt. Other dishes such as roast lamb, Frankfurter schnitzel and suckling pig are also highly recommended. Here you cook with heart and soul, using regional ingredients to create delicious, extremely tasty dishes. The price-performance ratio is TOP, my unreserved recommendation!

Celebrated my birthday there. You were allowed to bring your own birthday cake. Very friendly, attentive and helpful service, especially for guests with limited mobility. Except for the entrance, everything is at ground level. However, the temperature in the restaurant is quite cool/fresh. Dress warmly!!! Lots of choice of delicious food, good prices, really big portions. It definitely wasn't there for the last time. I will definitely recommend this restaurant at any time. Thank you for the lovely evening and my birthday, which I was able to spend with my family with you.

I came here for dinner and order the shnitzel. Was incredibly good. So good in fact and came the next day to try something else. I had the hand cheese followed by bratwurst. Also excellent. The food tatest fresh and the portions were generous. Highly recommend

We came for lunch and had 2x Frankfurter Schlachtplatte, just awesome. The sausages were delicious. The black pudding surprised me with its creamy consistency, together with the mashed potatoes and fresh horseradish it was a poem. The apple cider was fruity and delicious. Service was all super nice and quick. Anyone who wants to try regional cuisine in Frankfurt is in good hands here and will be pleasantly surprised, even as a Frankfurter! Even the sauerkraut tastes particularly good here and has the certain acidity it needs.

It was the best restaurant I've ever been to in Germany! The skin of the roasted duck is very crispy. If I have a lot of time, I want to try all the food here. The server is also very nice and kind :) In Germany, giving a tip is basic manners, so I think it would be good for Koreans to follow basic manners :)

Una de nuestras cervezas estaba incluso corta (que pensamos que era ilegal en Alemania! ) así que si vas, comprueba que están vertiendo su cerveza a la línea! Sospecho que nunca le harían eso a un local así que los turistas tengan cuidado. No recomendaría este restaurante, hay muchos otros similares por ahí, así que ir a otro lugar! Además, no confíes en las reseñas de Google. A mi amigo le quitaron la crítica por mencionar el vertido corto. ¡Aparentemente decir la verdad cuenta como 'difamación'!

If you leave a 1-star review, it will be deleted, so I'll give it a 3 and write some of it in red, but this part was terrible. As part of my job, I have guided customers from Japan several times, and the service was the best ever, and the difference in people was amazing, so I started using a different restaurant for entertainment.

We came here for dinner and the food was okay, large portions but not particularly outstanding. The service was terrible, our waitress forgot a number of things we ordered and was not so subtle about us leaving a tip. One of the beers we ordered was also short poured (check that your beer reaches the line!). Don't think I would recommend this place when there are many other restaurants like this in the area.

The Frankfurt specialties were amazing. The grüne soße was better than most I’ve had in town. The schnitzel and bratz beat most around town. The beer and apple wine was constantly flowing. I will come back every single time I’m in Frankfurt.

I often take my guests from abroad to the Gasthaus Atschel Essen and everyone has always been very satisfied and enthusiastic about the ambience, the hospitality and the excellent service. The 3 waitresses who looked after us that evening (and also from the last visits) were very accommodating and nice despite the full house. I can unreservedly recommend Gastätte Atschel for a real Frankfurt experience for many reasons.

Very classic German restaurant with typical local dishes. I can highly recommend the schnitzel with green sauce. Apple cider is also great. The starter, a Hessian cheese mixture for two people, was also convincing, although the farmer's bread was particularly excellent. The prices are, as usual in Frankfurt, hefty, but you get decent portions. I found the cheese spaetzle that I tried with my companions to be a bit too mild for my taste - but it's a matter of taste. Service was quick and attentive. I found it very pleasant that they even accommodated us with a stroller without making an afternoon reservation. Despite all the Hessian romance, the atmosphere was a bit too cramped for me, but that's easy to get over. We'd love to come back when we're in Frankfurt!

I had a lovely evening in the Atschel. The dishes were very large and the meat was really well prepared. Unfortunately, the side salad suffered from a bottled dressing. Unfortunately, the staff was less attentive and friendly than I'm used to. The acoustics are washed out, you have to talk very loudly. Beer (Rhöner <3) and cider delicious. Attention: the Kellerbier is a strong black beer.
