I invited my girlfriend here for a special Valentine's Day date. I made a reservation in advance on the restaurant's website and booked a vegetarian menu for 2. The waiters had no idea at all, we had to wait 35 minutes to even find out whether we could get the pre-ordered menu or not. After almost an hour a soup came - without a spoon. The waiter poured us water, half of which went on the table. While he was clearing away the starters we were asked if we wanted to order dessert, although the menu already included a desert and we hadn't even had the main course yet. In total we waited two hours for the food and the other guests also complained constantly because they had to wait 20 minutes for the menu or bill or there were mishaps. We work in the catering industry ourselves and can understand that small mistakes can sometimes be made or things can get stressful, but the joke was: there were only 4 tables occupied (max 10 customers in the restaurant) and more than 6 waiters “working”. Never again! However, the food itself deserves 4 stars…

The ambience and location is really great. There is still room for improvement in the selection of dishes and the design of the menu in terms of clarity. The service was neither particularly attentive nor particularly quick. We only received the main course after a 2-hour stay. The food itself was very good, but I would not visit the restaurant again because the service did not meet my expectations in any way.

No! Poor service. We waited 20 minutes for our order to be placed. Food came 2 hours later.

I was recently at the Schönemann in Frankfurt and I have to say – a real hit! The restaurant has a great mix of relaxed but chic ambience. Perfect for a cozy evening with friends or a special dinner for two. Food that convinces The menu offers a great selection of dishes that are really made with love. I particularly liked the Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce - just perfect and super tasty. The seasonal specials are also worth a try, as you can immediately notice the quality of the ingredients. Top service The staff is friendly, attentive, but not intrusive – just the right mix. They are very familiar with the menu and give good tips, especially when choosing wine. You just feel like you're in good hands. Conclusion If you want to enjoy good food in a relaxed but stylish atmosphere in Frankfurt, this is the right place for you. Whether for a date, a meeting with friends or a chic business lunch – the Schönemann is always a good choice. Definitely worth recommending – I’ll definitely be back!

Slow service, lack of attention to detail. I went there for a quick lunch and it took a while to initially get someone to take the order and then for them to bring out the check at the end. No one checked on how the food was or if I needed anything in the meantime. For a 5-star hotel restaurant, was also surprised with the lack of attention to detail. I mentioned upfront that I was vegan, and ordered a vegan salad. But when they brought out bread, it was with butter and didn’t offer olive oil. Coffee came with macaroons, again not something I could eat. All this would have been fine if the service was there as I could have asked for what I needed, but they all seemed hurried even though the restaurant was like 10% full. I had to get up and walk to the hostess stand to get my check.

We were there for dinner in winter and it was a bit cold. The service staff were very nice, but we didn't get any bread even though all the other tables got it. In addition, the price-performance ratio of the food is not particularly good, the duck for €46 was dry and stringy.

Super nice restaurant in a very good location. However, agreements made were not kept. We had made a reservation for breakfast outside the day before. Everything was agreed upon: a table would be prepared for us outside and we could help ourselves to the buffet. Now we got there and we were told we could only have a drink outside. Although everything was agreed upon, the staff didn't seem to want to serve outside. If you don't want to do that, then you shouldn't make such promises. Complete. Very unfortunate.

Excellent service, wild herb salad and fish dish with risotto were outstanding. We had dinner here for work in the evening and it was an appropriate setting.

"Restaurant Schoenemann" became the venue for our fifth wedding anniversary. Not Michelin starred, but with the promise of delicious German cuisine. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty. We were a little doubtful: either it was very expensive or not tasty. But since we’ve arrived, let’s enjoy it! The restaurant is located in the Sofitel Frankfurt hotel and looks amazing! Modern seating, a view of the opera house and a perfect atmosphere. The waiters are in white shirts, everything is as it should be! The menu turned out to be interesting, but the prices were steep - about 50–60 € per person. I chose “Halibut with potato mounds, pea and mint puree, cherry tomato confit, white bacon foam”, dessert “White chocolate with yuzu, raspberry, dwarf orange and chocolate ice cream”. Well, freshly squeezed orange juice, water and cappuccino. And the husband - “Truffle “saumagen” (pork stomach), pak choy, chanterelles in cream, dumplings from an alkaline napkin,” freshly squeezed orange juice and water and “Strawberry tiramisu, lime sorbet, with fresh berries” and cappuccino.. First we were served a bonus - an appetizer of fresh finely chopped salmon with other fish, onions and dressing, served on black stones. This was bread and butter. Tasty! But the main courses...my halibut was good, but my husband didn't really like the pork bellies. They brought me a dessert similar to Tiramisu and a cappuccino, but my husband was given nothing. The waiter apologized for the misunderstanding and 10 minutes later brought him tiramisu and cappuccino. I ordered another dessert, but I had already started eating, so they didn’t bother to find out. The dessert turned out to be sour: the sorbet resembled lemon, and the tiramisu also became sour due to the melting of the sorbet. I didn’t eat it, but my husband finished it, but noted that this was not the most delicious tiramisu in his life. But it is worth noting the excellent service! The waiter apologized for the confusion and said that the coffee was on the house. The bill was 144.50 € We decided not to return to this restaurant again. If you like fine dining it might be for you, but we were left disappointed.

Located in the Sofitel Frankfurt with entrances from both the old opera Square and from the lobby of the hotel, the interior of the restaurant is very nice and modern outdoor seating looking into looking at the opera house . Sat outside in mid August- warm and dry day of 34'c . Was about 28’c when had dinner. The waiters Asked our order multiple times as they kept forgetting the order after asking about wine etc. Carpaccio was good but overpowered by the sauce , mushrooms was good The grilled tuna with herbs and painted cabbage was fishy which indelicate the fish was not fresh, and tasted blend due to mashed potatoes with cabbage - such a dull tasting dish! The roast Flank steak With corn too again below average dish- meat quality below average, corn mash - again tasteless! Food was badly seasoned and needed more salt and pepper. Just barely made it more edible with the seasoning. The desert of white chocolate with yuzu and chocolate ice cream was above average. Extremely disappointed by the food ! Good view of the opera house sat outside. Service ok at the end of the day considering the food.

We had a delightful meal for our overnight stay in Frankfurt. The food was amazing. The service was unparalleled. And there was no crowd since it was the weekend. There were no reservations necessary. Very romantic and a pleasant atmosphere for conversation.

We had dinner on July 10, 2024, 4 people. Food was normal. Unfortunately we weren't full. It was too economical at €55 per person. Service on February 8, 2020 there was a Maritz as service. It was perfect, unfortunately not this time. Plates were passed across the sofa and the menu was there Printed at 180°, it's a shame it could be better

We really enjoyed our visit for the business lunch. Choosing a two or three course menu is an excellent option and we opted for the inexpensive three course menu option. All dishes were very tasty and attractively prepared. Since the menu changes regularly we will come back. The hotel is next door and makes the rooms spacious and very comfortable. The whole atmosphere is very nice and toilets and the dining area are well maintained and clean. The service is courteous and very friendly. The only criticism was the bread was a bit dry.

Schönemann am Opernplatz is a wonderful restaurant! The atmosphere there is cozy and inviting. The food is delicious and offers a wide variety of traditional dishes. When I visited the Schoenemann restaurant, I was impressed by the modern furnishings and the cozy atmosphere. The schnitzel, a classic of German cuisine, was perfectly prepared: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. A highlight was definitely the friendly service, which rounded off the experience. A must for lovers of German cuisine.

I was there for lunch and unfortunately I have to say that I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. Had the schnitzel for €42 with potato salad, where the breading was thicker than the meat and the potatoes in the salad were almost raw, the staff tried hard. The highlight was an almost cold espresso. Maybe that's how it has to be, with "fine cuisine", but no thanks, never again.

Die überwiegend positiven - fast schon überschwänglichen - Rezensionen über das Essen, sind mehr als unverständlich und nicht nachzuvollziehen. Weder Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte noch Nachtisch konnten überzeugen. Im Gegenteil! Mit sieben Personen da gewesen. Alle waren enttäuscht. Am Ende mussten wir noch unsere Mäntel selber holen. Keine Bedienung da gewesen für mehrere Minuten.

Viel zu teuer, nicht gut genug für die aufgerufenen Preise. Service war ok. Muss nicht wieder sein.

Alles in Allem ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche. Die Gerichte waren alle professionell zubereitet und entsprechend schmackhaft. Die Preise sind im oberen Segment aber bei der Qualität absolut vertretbar.

Wir hatten einen wunderbar entspannten Mittag im Schönemann’s. Das Essen wie immer originell und sehr geschmackvoll. Der Service tadellos, aufmerksam und liebenswürdig. Unser Ober - Sandeep – hat sich besonders viel Mühe gemacht und uns gut beraten. Man sitzt sehr komfortabel und ungestört. Alles in allem ziemlich konkurrenzlos in Frankfurt.

Das Essen ist optisch sehr schön eingerichtet das war’s aber an positiven Eindruck Wenn das Personal im Service nicht so super nett wäre und versucht hätte alle wünsche zu erfüllen Würden wir nicht mal 1 Stern geben Von insgesamt 6 Gerichten war nur die Nachspeise echt gut die nicht auf der Karte war sondern extra für uns gemacht wurde … frisch Ich würde niemanden empfehlen hinzugehen Leider Den die lokation und die Lage wirklich sehr sehr schön ist

Das Essen war sehr schön präsentiert und geschmacklich alle Erwartungen erfüllt dafür vielen Dank. Das Ambiente entspricht meiner Vorstellung - entspannten Abend. Der Service hat glänzend gestartet. Zum Schluss allerdings aufgrund Kellner Wechsel nachgelassen. Im großen und ganzen dennoch sehr zufrieden geblieben.

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist hier eher schlecht. Die gehobene Küche die man erwartet bekommt man leider nicht. Habe schon besser und günstiger gegessen.

The food is perfectly suited to my taste, as I follow a gluten-free and vegan diet. They are very helpful in this regard, and I would like to extend my gratitude to them once again through this message. I see it as a suitable place for people with celiac disease, like myself.

Ich bin dort schon mehrfach gewesen. Es ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Vor allem die Sofas gefallen mir gut. Der Service ist hervorragend. Ich hatte das Wiener Schnitzel, das war sehr gut. Der Kartoffelsalat war lauwarm. Mein Date ein vegetarisches Gericht. Man sitzt hervorragend und hat viel Privatsphäre. Vorspeise pochiertes Landei war auch Klasse. Es gab auch einen tollen Gruss aus der Küche und zwei selbstgebackene Macarons am Schluss. Geheimtipp am schönsten Platz der Stadt.
