Food was marginal and it might be because I ordered a pork chop that doesn't look appetizing. The server was special, struggling to remember orders but eventurally getting most of them right. A nice enery level in the restaurant.

It's super delicious. Schweinhaksen is really delicious and the gravy is super juicy. There was also something called knoedl that came with it like potato rice cake, and it was so delicious. There is a spicy version of schnitzel, I think it has paprika sauce. And the owner is very interested in Korea, so he can speak a little Korean. Haha. When drinking apple wine, it's good to mix it with carbonated water. Anyway, I highly recommend it. I'll come again

Great German food, friendly staff

I give it high marks for atmosphere and service. The staff were friendly but also witty. It has this old school Stuben feel. Long tables that are shared. The food was OK. I really liked the beet carpaccio appetizer. The Tafelspitz was a bit chewy. For the price, the food was acceptable.

Updated 01/22/25 We've gone through the menu several times now and are just happy that dear Mimon took over the shop back then (during Corona times). He also prepared the garden so well. And he always has great ideas. It won't be boring here. Neither on the map nor with ideas about the furnishings. We absolutely love being here!!! New owner! When we came in, we were a little sad that dear Jenny (the waitress) was no longer there. But that's how it is, people go, people come. In any case, we were very pleasantly surprised. The Butze was full, the service and boss were very friendly. What we really liked was the map. There is definitely still Hessian cuisine, but not only! Very fun and different dishes. So we'll definitely come back often. We were also very impressed with the food. Sausage salad with Handkäs, Frankfurter Schnitzel (with green sauce) and baked Handkäs, instead of fried potatoes, with sweet potato fries... no problem and soooo delicious!!! We have to try out the map ;-)

Very good food at great prices! The butter spaetzle from the Parmesan wheel is particularly recommended – a real highlight. The host makes the shop something very special: absolutely warm, friendly and with a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!”

The food was exquisite and the service was very attentive and pleasant, apart from the fact that the owner knew how to speak perfect Spanish which made it easier and more enjoyable.

I celebrated my 16th birthday at the Feuerradchen last night and it was even better than I thought. Our waitress Elli made such a great evening possible for us! It's definitely not our last visit!!

The food was very tasty, especially the fried potatoes and the green sauce. It is served in an extremely pleasant, authentic environment. The boss is very nice and took good care of us. We will definitely be back and can only highly recommend the Feuerradchen.

The hand cheese was very bland. Fresh from the pack and not aged. A small one with bread and a small butter in foil. The cider is ok but not really good. The ambience is a mixture of an attempt at modern, which somehow doesn't fit for an Äppler pub. Somehow we felt like we were staying at an Italian restaurant (but not the best of both worlds). There is better in Sachsenhausen.

In my opinion, one of the best cider bars in Frankfurt because it manages to balance tradition and modernity, which is also reflected in the menu, so that everyone can find what they are looking for, even with larger groups with different preferences. The quality of the food is also among the best among cider places. The staff is friendly and attentive and the prices are also ok.

Very nice cider farm that combines tradition and modernity. I am always extremely satisfied with the food, drinks and service. The team (in general, but also Elli in particular) is extremely entertaining and strives to make every stay special. I like to eat here regularly with friends and business partners.

Typical apple wine bar in Sachsenhausen with an inviting courtyard for a cozy get-together on a warm summer evening. There is traditional cuisine and drinks. We recommend the “Frankfurter Spritz” (Aperol Spritz with apple cider instead of Prosecco). The Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce and fried potatoes was deliciously prepared and a sufficient portion. The service was friendly and worked quickly.

The atmosphere is very cozy. There's nothing to complain about in terms of service, but it's not outstanding either. When it came to eating, it was a shame that some dishes were already out on an early Sunday evening. The schnitzel was tasty, although it was prepared in the deep fryer instead of a pan and was apparently bought pre-breaded.

We came here spontaneously and were very impressed. The food was all very good and the service was very friendly and warm. Overall we had a lovely evening, the dishes were very tasty.

On a hot summer day it's nice to sit here in the cool backyard. The service was extremely courteous and rather untypically good for an apple winery in Frankfurt. The mashed potatoes and green gravy were delicious. The schnitzel was a bit too thick and too dark for my taste. The apple cider was very refreshing. Actually 4 points but for the service a 5.

I'm a guest here almost every week. The team is incredibly friendly and the quality is consistently good. Many corporate groups find their way to this gem as the destination of the gourmet marathon and enjoy a well-deserved Schobbe and delicacies from the kitchen. The owner Mimon is a full-blooded restaurateur and is always good for a surprise. B. Does he speak Korean almost fluently 😉

I was looking for the perfect schnitzel with a price/performance ratio for a long time. And here I found it. I've even eaten here 3 times in the last few days. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to try out other delicacies because I liked the Frankfurter Schnitzel so much. However, I know from my companions, who were also extremely satisfied, that the other dishes are also delicious. The service is very friendly and personable, just as you would expect. The inner courtyard is also a very homely and relaxed location. You'll be happy to go back here. The fire wheel really deserves the 5 stars.

Two is Better. The search for Frankfurt's best schnitzel and cider bar has finally been successfully completed. Between crumpled hardware store brochures, hectic DHL express couriers on yellow bicycles and mustachioed greengrocers, the rustic little fire wheel in the middle of Sachsenhausen bustles about. To the Feuerradchen team. I just have to write you a review because you make such a good schnitzel with green sauce that I could eat tons of it. As a bean counter, I initially found the average cost to be around €25-30 per person including drinks to be a bit much. However, after I took the first bite, I knew that it had to be even better than any Solzer or Apfelwein Wagner. Now without flax. Every 3 star Frank Rosin chef would be green with envy if he were allowed to try what awesome comes out of your kitchen. This more or less confirms our review title (Doubly Holds Better). Best restaurant in Frankfurt, my ribs were super tasty and the portion was very large. My friend's schnitzel was brilliant, never tasted better. The owner was super nice and the service was very friendly too. You definitely deserve 5 stars! Price is also right, nice atmosphere. Will eat with you more often.

Food: 6 people on Sundays in the Feuerradchen... The food was not good from all 6 guests. The schnitzel (frozen finished products) probably came from the deep fryer, the fried potatoes were not salted/seasoned and were quite hard. The meatloaf with fried onions from the cup and a ready-made sauce (should be an Altbier sauce) was just as bad. Unfortunately, one dish didn't come at all and when we asked, the veal liver only came when everyone else was ready! The veal liver was swimming in the same ready-made sauce as the meatloaf and the finished fried onions were again out of the cup. The liver was undercooked and inedible. She went back completely. But it was calculated first. There was no more pepper sauce and no hunter's sauce either. Instead we received a schnitzel - soaked in a thick, mushy cream sauce (finished product). The fries were completely soggy, but not just because of the inedible cream sauce, they were all soggy and not at all crispy! Only the green sauce was okay. The prices are not reasonable for these convenience products. Price/performance not acceptable! Ambiance: The table was sticky with old glass edges. There were old fries on the bench. The small plates for the starter (tapas) were dirty. There was leftover food stuck to the menus. Service: Unfortunately the service wasn't good either. The service informed us at the beginning that due to the day of rest (Mondays) some dishes could not be available. We were informed directly if guests were annoying and they would no longer come to the table. That was the case and we were no longer served because of our open criticism. The colleague cleared away. Her statement was: “It’s just a matter of taste”. The boss at least refunded the amount of the veal liver (according to our information). Conclusion: A disappointing Sunday evening with poor food and service. The only thing we can recommend is Äppler (1 star for this). As natives of Frankfurt (Sachsenhäuser), we have known all the restaurants in Sachsenhausen and the surrounding area for decades in several generations, but we have never experienced anything like this! We won't be coming back!

Very nice cider room in a backyard. The menu is home-style and also typical of the local area. Everything we (larger group of around 20 people) ordered was very tasty (Jägerschnitzel, schnitzel with green sauce, Handkäs with music, three types of matjes, etc.) Service was fine and nice.

Beautiful Frankfurt restaurant in the heart of Sachsenhausen. Totally rustic and cozy atmosphere with a fantastic garden in the courtyard. Really special atmosphere. Service was top! Very friendly, attentive and quick. We felt very comfortable. Great menu with lots of choice. The dishes all tasted very, very good and we were very satisfied. Really really tasty! The restaurant impresses with its fine mix of traditional Frankfurt ambience, with attention to detail, cleanliness right down to the newly renovated and very well-maintained toilet area, and modern accents. The typical Frakfurter food is fresh and skillfully prepared. Well-baked fried potatoes are no longer a given - just like a schnitzel that left nothing to be desired. Mimon and Elida's service is friendly, attentive and professional. A real recommendation away from the hustle and bustle of the most famous restaurants with Frankfurt specialties and still in the middle of it all. I'm happy for everyone who finds their way into the fire wheel.

We had Viennese style schnitzel with fries and ribs with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, both for under €16 each. Both were as you would expect, hot fries, crispy browned breading on the schnitzel, tender ribs that were not dry, with delicious side dishes. The service is Frankfurter-style, personal and on a first-name basis. You have to like it, we do it. We'd love to come back.

When we wanted to pay it took half an hour until we were ready, but they need our table haha There were two of us. Long-established cider economy. Unfortunately the Frankfurter Schnitzel is not really recommended. Tastes like deep fried frozen food. Green sauce was ok. I think it's a shame when stores like this are taken over and the idea is to make money with little effort. Not like that! We met this place by chance the first day we arrived in Frankfurt and it was a great surprise to discover that the owner was Spanish!! He treated us like real queens. Kind, friendly, made great recommendations, generous... Excellent food, seriously. Mix German tradition with modern cuisine. Very delicious desserts too. I definitely recommend it and I hope that if you go, you also have a good experience!

Very friendly service, the food was delicious, what more could you want?

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined. My meatloaf and my wife's schnitzel were definitely convenience food and both were just warm enough to eat. It was also served far too quickly to be freshly cooked. Ready-made fried onions and fried potatoes, just like the fries, out of the bag. The Äppelwoi is still great, as is the ambience and service (although you don't clear a plate when the second person is still eating).

Pleasant convivial evening with friends in a typical and very nice place in Frankfurt. The shank and the cutlet were the center of the evening, good but not exceptional, perhaps due to excessive crowding. The staff did not shine in terms of friendliness.

I had a super delicious vegan schnitzel with green sauce. Very friendly staff and a creative, individual menu. You can reserve online and pay by card. All in all, a perfect cider bar and always worth a visit.

Highest quality and price performance! Äppelwein and ribs with sauerkraut were delicious. Highly recommended. I can only recommend it as a Frankfurter as I have already tried a lot elsewhere. Rarity...a really super nice business owner who really lends a hand and serves. Would love to come back.

Traditionelle Äppelwoistub wie man es erwartet. Sehr freundlicher, kontakfreudiger Service. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei euch. Es war sehr lecker. Küche bietet für normal Esser und Vegis eine gute Auswahl. Mit gutem Gefühl kann man euch empfehlen. Kein Schicki-Micki, kein Schnickschnack sehr bodenständig hessisch eben.

Sehr schöne Äppelwoi Kneipe, Essen war sehr gut, sehr netter Chef, nach dem Essen gab es ein Mispelchen aufs Haus. Super Kellner Silvio. Sehr empfehlenswert, und wir kommen sicher wieder.

Nice location, the restaurant looks amazing from the outside, but inside is also okay. I recommend making reservations in the evening, as it was quite busy. We were given a menu in German, but also one version of the menu in English. The service was quite good, although clearly dissatisfied with the lack of good knowledge of German. The food and apple wine were very good. Despite the heavy traffic, orders arrived quite quickly. The portions are large and everyone will surely be full. The prices are adequate.
