I had the Frankfurter Specialplatte because I wanted to try several traditional things and it was all excellent! The haxe, meatball with liver, bratwurst, slice of ham, etc, it was all super tasty, and affortable! Also, the waiters / chefs were also very nice!

Very very tasty Haxe! Nicely marinated and it weighs 1kg each! Sauerkraut also very nicely done, it doesn’t give you acid. Grüne Soße very tasty and fresh. We are positively surprised. Staff very friendly. They speak fluent English and are willing to advise you on choosing the right portion of food. The only thing I’m not that happy with is the jug of Apfelwein is broken on the tip. It’s simply not nice.

From locals to tourists, Germans, Asians, families, and couples, I could see a variety of people enjoying themselves in their own way. Cheerful staff run the store, which is full of energy. Although it was supposed to be a long-established store, there was no arrogance, and their response was truly polite. There's no reason I wouldn't want to revisit it because it adds some humor to it. Of course, the food was delicious. His Japanese was also excellent.

A spontaneous visit to Sachsenhausen led us to this restaurant and it resulted in the best knuckle we have ever eaten, and there have been quite a few. The waitresses were attentive and unobtrusively polite. You can't complain about the price/performance ratio either.

This place combines everything you need. Really good food, courteous waiters and a great atmosphere. It wasn't just a meal but an experience.

Now it is my favorite restaurant in Frankfurt! Despite the fact that we didn't have a reservation during Messe Frankfurt, we got a free table. The atmosphere is very nice and authentic. The staff is very quick and friendly. The food tastes very good! We tried a plate of Frankfurt specialties. It was super tasty and you can take one plate for two people. Cider is incredibly good. I can only recommend this restaurant! If we come to Frankfurt again we will definitely visit this place again!!

Very rich and traditional. Without a doubt the most notable thing was the staff, great attitude, very friendly and helpful. The food was very delicious and traditional, the chamorro was super soft, the potato soup was delicious and everything else was very good too. They recommended a digestive with loquats that was also very good. A little atmosphere or music was needed, but in general everything was very good and at very affordable prices.

Zum ersten Mal hier. Das Gänseessen war der absolute Hammer. Ich habe nichts zu kritisieren. Der Service war am Tag selbst etwas abwesend, es waren allerdings auch 2 große Gesellschaften am Abend anwesend- also zu entschuldigen (damit auch etwas laut. Aber das gehört auch zum Ambiente.) Gerne würde ich nicht sagen wie gut es ist, damit die Plätze nicht so rar sind...ABER faierweise muss ich sagen- ich freue mich jetzt schon auf nächstes Jahr.

Alle Jahre wieder zum Gansessen! Und das sagt doch schon alles. Essen wie immer köstlich und Service sehr nett.

Tolle Ente, saftig und knusprig, dazu super leckere Soße, Rotkohl, Maronen, Klöße, Pilze! Einfach goldig! Die Atmosphäre ist super nett und heimelig, ich liebe die Beleuchtung: alles nur Laternen, die Mitarbeiter sind goldnett! ❤️❤️❤️

Die beste Gans seit langer Zeit!

Wir gehen jedes Jahr zum traditionellen Gans essen. Die Qualität der Gans ist jedes Mal herausragend, die Beilagen (Klöße, Rotkraut, Rosenkohl, Maronen und Sauce) können immer nachbestellt werden, es gibt eine Flasche Rotwein aufs Haus (absolut ausreichende Qualität, wer hier Spitzenwein erwartet ist falsch) und das Ambiente angenehm „hektisch“. Wir freuen uns jedes Jahr auf den Abend, ich zähle jetzt schon die Tage für nächstes Jahr. Ein Highlight ist auch das Tranchieren der Gans was direkt am Tisch geschieht.

Die hochgelobte Gans war zwar kross und lecker, aber: Beilagen größtenteils Convenience Produkte. Inkludierter Wein hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Gaststätte zu dem Anlass zu laut, hektisch und ungemütlich.

Wir sind von diesem traditionellen Restaurant begeistert! Die Bedienung legte ein überaus zuvorkommendes Verhalten an den Tag und reagierte auf unsere kleinen Änderungswünsche bezüglich der Beilagen außerordentlich kulant. Zum Abschluss wurde uns freundlicherweise noch ein Nussschnaps angeboten. Die vorzüglichen Speisen waren nicht nur äußerst opulent, sondern bewegten sich auch in einer bezahlbaren Preisklasse. Ganz nach dem Motto: "Günstig, aber keineswegs billig!" Das heimelige und gepflegte Ambiente konnte uns ebenfalls überzeugen. Für uns ist ein Besuch in diesem wunderbaren Restaurant bei einem Frankfurt-Aufenthalt ein absolutes Muss. Schöne Grüße aus Tirol!

We got here on a business day at around opening time. Restaurant was luckily still empty which meant food got out quicker. I can imagine waiting times to be longer when it’s packed since there are a lot of seating options. The schnitzel I ordered was supposed to be calf but in the end I got a pork schnitzel because they couldn’t get any calf for that day. It was really tasty nevertheless but I had to pay full price (~22€) for a calf schnitzel which in the end was one made of pork. Portion size is good and I was stuffed by the end of the evening. Just a heads up, only veggie options are salads. But if you’re looking for traditional German or Frankfurt cuisine this is the place. Staff was super friendly too. Will come again!

매우 합리적인 가격에 독일 정통 요리를 먹을 수 있는 곳. 첫째날, Weiner Schnitzel과 함께 샐러드, 감자구이는 정말 최고였다. 특히, 샐러드는 어떤 소스를 사용했는지 야채는 부드럽고, 오일에 소금, 특유의 풍미를 더해주는 허브가 들어 간 듯 하다. 둘째날은, 독일 대표 음식인 Schweinshaxe와 샐러드를 추가해 먹었다. 여태 것 먹어 본 Schweinshaxe 중 최고였다. 껍데기는 바삭하고 속살은 부드러우며, 양도 꾀많아 둘이 먹어도 될 만했다. 함께 나온 sauerkraut는 본연의 단 맛과 신맛이 일품이었다. 의깬감자 요리도 정말 맛있었다. 4유로 밖에 하지 않는 샐러드는 역시 기대를 저버리지 읺았다. 셋째날은, Frankfurter Spezialplate를 시켰다. 각종 소세지와 햄, 위에 말한 사우어크라우트, 의깬 감자까지 모두 한 번에 맛 볼 수 있는 요리였다. 샐러드와 친절한 직원들 그리고 좋은 분위기에 3일 연속으로 오게되었지만, 가격도 25유로 내외로 매우 합리적이었다.

Insgesamt war es ein angenehmer Besuch, die Servicekräfte waren total nett. Kleine Abzüge gibt es für den überwürzten Salat, Schnitzel und Kartoffelsuppe. Leider war die Wartezeit zum Hauptgericht etwas lang. Das Ambiete im Hauptraum war wirklich super und authentisch, leider kann man das nicht über die Damentoiletten behaupten (Türen klemmen, nicht korrekt abschließbar).

Schöner Lokal in Sachsen mit alten Fachwerkhaus Styl und offenen Dach. Freundliche, preofessionelle Bedienung. Essen schmeckte super, hat gute Preis Leistung Verhältnisse

Wir waren zum 1. mal in Sachsenhausen. Sehr uriges Lokal und sehr netter Kellner. Das Essen war gut und reichlich, Preis angemessen. Wir haben draußen gesessen , der Ausblick war halt nicht so ansprechend. Dafür kann das Lokal aber nix. Innen super gemütlich, man spürt förmlich den Trubel aus der Vergangenheit worauf auch die Bilder hinweisen. 👍😍

Wir wurden überaus freundlich empfangen und nach kurzer Zeit waren auch zwei Plätze für uns draußen frei. Der Apfelwein schmeckte, das Essen überzeugte - hier macht man nicht viel falsch.

We were recommended by our hotel to come here. The owners own a butchery, so they provide quality meat and sausages. We entered the restaurant and it feels like a German pub yet with a homey feel. They have an English menu. We ordered Pork knuckles and sausages with their homemade Green sauce. The food was delicious and came in big portion. The waiter was also very friendly and nice.

Great restaurant to have roasted pork in very nice neighborhood and service is great.

Mycket trevlig restaurang. Vi fick perfekt hjälp av kyparen att beställa det vi ville: traditionell Frankfurt mat. Det kan vara svårt att veta hur mycket mat det är man får, men han guidade oss bra. Maten och drycken var utsökt. Vi går hjärna hit igen.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, schnell vor Ort und teils witzig drauf. Das Ur-pils vom fass war sehr süffig und da kann man schonmal das ein oder andere mehr trinken. Ich hatte das Wienerschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Dazu wurde ein üppiger Salat bereitgestellt und ein Töpfchen Senf. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der ganze Aufenthalt war sehr positiv. Sofern ich wieder in Frankfurt bin, würde einem erneuten Besuch definitiv nichts im Wege stehen. Daumen Hoch.
