The decore is relaxed but elegant. Nothing feels pretentious. We enjoyed live music. The food was delicious. Our server Johnathan provided fabulous service.

Went there for dinner for the second time and once again it was fantastic

Good food in the mountains. Menu prices and normal drink prices are reasonable for the quality. Very friendly staff. You share a table in the small garden with the house guests. We had a wedding inside with loud music... The dishes on offer were very good, some of them a little weakly seasoned... but that's a matter of taste👍

Sehr schönes Restaurant gemütliches Restaurant. Top Service und sehr gute Küche. Gute Weinauswahl. Auch die Hotellounge ist sehr gediegen und auch dort Top Barkeeper.

We really enjoyed our experience. Service was great, the atmosphere was very pleasant and authentic. And the food was amazing. What more can we ask for?

Typically Bavarian ambience & nice welcome. The menu can be put together yourself if necessary. The food was solid, although some of the courses were too curry-heavy for me. Unfortunately the veal was quite dry and the cooking point was missed. The service was very friendly, but not particularly attentive. Unfortunately no aperitif was offered or recommended, nor was anyone asked for a coffee or a nightcap...that could be better! Whether the Bib Gourmand is justified for the restaurant is certainly debatable...

Once again just a restaurant with more appearances on the website than can be expected. The Michelin bib tester must definitely have been to another restaurant. Kitchen: Unfortunately nothing in terms of taste: - Greetings from the kitchen (pickled matjes, with caviar) everything just salty and rock-hard toasted bread (not edible). -Starter: duck essence (well… poultry broth, nothing more) Beef carpaccio (good quality but no salt, no pepper and no oil just a few hearts of romaine lettuce and a would-be thick parmesan chip. Would like salt and pepper etc. asked, but unfortunately no service employee came to ask if it tasted good or anything like that. -Intermediate course: porcini mushroom truffle ravioli (lukewarm & overcooked, floating in the cooking water, cold zucchini strips and cold foam from something. -Main courses: Zander and saddle of veal (Zander unfortunately raw & maximum 20 degrees in the thickest part, no spices, skin not crispy. Saddle of veal ok, even Dr. Knorr better. After that we stopped eating!!!!!!!! About the service: Water or wine service not available. Generally service not available! Bread plates were set, but there was neither bread nor butter at the table. Then why is it covered? The positive thing was that the entire meal was canceled from the bill. -Thank you Otherwise, a below-average tourist restaurant that wants to attract attention with its supposedly great chef and Michelin sticker!

Very tasty, great professional staff. Starting with the greeting from the kitchen, the starter, main course and dessert. Wine list. Gladly again. Reservations recommended.

Great wine list at unbeatable prices. Very fair. The food is good, the service too. The rooms are very comfortable. We expected a little more from the food and service. Food: solid, we had the Bib Gourmand menu. The intermediate course: sour Starnberger whitefish and confit Großweiler char was excellent & the opportunity to put together your own menu is great! The truffle dishes didn't have freshly grated truffles, but rather truffle oil/butter, so I wouldn't include that in the menu (I don't need the truffles, I'd rather have a really good jus with the meat). Unfortunately, I didn't have the pink beef. The service is friendly and good - I would like the dishes to be presented as I couldn't remember the individual components of the menu. When we asked what we had on our plate for the starter, the answer was “tomato”. We then got a menu. We would love to come back for the wine list and the Bavarian delicacies.

Der Gastraum ist im split level gestaltet und auf den Podest sitzt man eindeutig netter. Eine freundliche Geste des Hauses ist, dass man sich unter den drei verschiedenen Karten selbst ein 3-4 Gang-Menü wählen kann und das zu einem überzeugenden Preis. Die Küche liebt "Gerolltes", so kam in der Kräuterschausuppe eine "Gemüsezigarre" daher, die geschmacklich keinen Eindruck hinterließ. Auch die Forelle in der Vorspeise war "gerollt". Kann man machen. Alle Speisen waren handwerklich gut zubereitet, aber nicht überragend (was man bei einem Guide Michelin Restaurant erwarten würde); ausgenommen die Buttermilchmousse, die war beeindruckend komponiert. Die junge Servicekraft war so wortkarg, dass es an Unhöflichkeit grenzte. Champagner und Weißwein sollten 1-2 Grad kühler zum Tisch kommen. Dem jungen Team ist weiterhin alles Gute zu wünschen und das Bib Gourmand-Konzept ist großartig.

Sehr lecker und toller Service. Der Preis für das Menü ist auch unschlagbar.

Hatten einen wunderschönen Abend bei sehr guten Essen

Fine Dining für einen fairen Preis, sehr guter Service und angenehme Atmosphäre. Leider konnte man die Kellner im Hintergrund diskutieren hören, weshalb ich einen Stern abziehe.

Es war auch bei unserem zweiten Besuch hervorragend. Sowohl das Essen, als auch der Service perfekt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können einen Besuch in diesem Restaurant zu 100% empfehlen.

Der Start war gut und freundlich. Das Amuse Bouche war lecker und gelungen. Im Service war eine junge Frau, die unsicher und inkompetent war. Sie nahm die Bestellung falsch auf, servierte den falschen Gang entsprechend und sagte uns wir seien im Unrecht. Daraufhin wurde sie im backoffice so laut, dass wir es auf der Terrasse hören konnten. Der weiter Service wurde durch einem netten Kollegen gerettet und wir hatten einen restlichen angenehmen Abend. Das Essen war im Großen und Ganzem dem bib gourmand entsprechend stabil. Alles in allem ein Besuch der ok war, überschattet von der jungen Kellnerin.

Der Service war nett und aufmerksam, lediglich der ständige Wechsel der Ansprechpartner war etwas störend. Die Vorspeisen waren solide aber kein Highlight. Die Hauptspeise gebratene Rinderfilet war leider zu durch und sehnig. Kann passieren, die Reklamation gab's ohne Sehne, allerdings wieder zu durch und Fettrand. Bei der Nachspeise fehlte das Sorbet, als Ersatz gab es Eis.

Hervorragendes Essen! Eigentlich hat das Restaurant aus meiner Sicht einen Stern verdient…

Ein wunderbarer Abschluss unseres Urlaubs: Extrem freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung und ein Essen, das Außergewöhnlich war. Vielschichtig komponierte Geschmacksebenen, ein reiches Spiel der Aromen - und alles perfekt zubereitet. Wir haben den ganzen Abend genossen. Und das alles war absolut bezahlbar, fast schon erstaunlich preiswert.

El lugar es precioso. Es un restaurante tranquilo y con una decoración típica de la zona que es Baviera. El trato exquisito y la comida espectacular!!!

Nichts zu kritisieren, ein rundum geglücktes Dinner, ausserordentlich kinderfreundlich (Extra Kinder Buffet)

Ein BIB-Gourmand an der richtigen Stelle gekürt und ein wunderbares Beispiel dafür, dass man auch "unterhalb" des Sterns glückliche Kulinarik erleben kann. Echt charmanter, unaufgeregter und von Herzen kommender Service und auf den Tellern ehrliche, schnörkellose Küche, die einfach passt. Chapeau und weiter so! Sehr fair kalkulierte Weinkarte und ein wunderbar gekühlter Weißwein, sogar im offenen Ausschank im Eiskühler serviert! Am Espresso müsste man noch arbeiten und etwas weniger Zucker beim Dessert wäre auch besser. GAP kann sich glücklich schätzen, eine solch kulinarische Adresse zu haben. Da kommt man gern wieder. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis bekommt 6 Sterne. Vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team!

Das Restaurant ist super. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich. Unser Abendessen war fantastisch, ebenso werden sehr gute Weine angeboten. Wir kommen wieder. 100% Empfehlung.

Disappointed, the service, the food was good but not what we have expected from a Michelin restaurant! Before dessert it was more like a bar…

Made a reservation via email and received a reply within 20 minutes. It was the start of the skiing off season so the restaurant was about 25% capacity. Covid precautions were excellent - vaccination veet was checked and patrons and staff wore masks. Our server (Jonathan) was very pleasant with good English. The food was absolutely delicious. Including sparkling water, bottle of wine, 2 glasses of red (extra), 4 courses came to €105. Worth every cent.

Four course meal was fantastic. Pricey, especially if you get a good wine, but worth it.

Not at all what we expected. High prices for extremely small portions of absolutely nothing amazing. The chef must review the entire menu here and how it is served. If you put such high prices and give so little food, each dish have to be absolutely excellent and sadly it's really not the case here. I do not recommend this restaurant. The wine is good at least, and the waitress was great, only reason why I gave 2 stars. Ps: carpacchio was a salty joke

Everything about this experience was first class. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. The food quality was superb, nothing to be faulted. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very pleasant, spotlessly clean and the decor is very inviting too.

Das gemütlich-ländliche Restaurant (übrigens benannt nach dem Erstbesteiger der Zugspitze) ist nicht einfach nur ein nettes Stüberl, in dem man sehr freundlich umsorgt wird, man isst hier auch wirklich gut, und das zu einem fairen Preis. So wertet der Michelin Bip-Gourmand dieses Restaurant. Grund genug für uns hier einen Tisch zu reservieren. Wir bestellten Essenz vom Almwiesen Ochsen, Leberknödel, Gemüse, Kräuter. Von einer Essenz, kräftig und konzentriert im Geschmack, konnte man hier wirklich nicht sprechen. Vielleicht eine einfache Rinderbrühe. Leberknödel war gut, jedoch fehlten die Kräuter in der Suppe. Danach Ragout von Herbsttrompete und Steinpilz, Semmelknödel und Blattsalat. Zum einen passten die Herbsttrompeten und Steinpilze nicht so richtig zusammen, dieses werden wir an diesem Abend leider noch öfter erleben. Zum anderen finde ich Blattsalat auf einem warmen Gericht angerichtet grenzwertig. Steinpilz nicht sorgfältig angebraten, dadurch lädschig. Der Semmelknödel schoss jedoch den Vogel ab. Serviert wurde eine geschmacklich langweilige quadratische Scheibe, Masse in eine Terrinenform gepresst und aufgeschnitten. So war es kein Semmelknödel, vielleicht im weitesten Sinne ein Servietenknödel. Aber eigentlich war es gar nichts. Als Hauptgang Ente, Blaukraut, Apfel, Kartoffelknödel. Geschmacklich war alles solide, auch wenn die Ente krosser hätte sein können. Der Kartoffelknödel hergestellt ausschließlich aus rohen Kartoffeln, war typisch für diese Herstellungsart etwas fest und zu wenig kartoffelig im Geschmack, hier ist auch meiner Meinung nach die bessere Variante, mit einem Teil gekochten Kartoffeln zu arbeiten. Als Dessert Creme Brulee mit Schokoladeneis und Birne, auch hier wieder, es wollte nicht so richtig passen. Für sich jedes gut, aber im Gesamten kam keine Harmonie auf. Als zweites Dessert wurde Topfenknödel mit Zwetschgenröster bestellt. Statt dessen kam der Knödel mit einer Art Beerengrütze hergestellt aus Tk-Ware. Der Topfenknödel war eines bayrischen Restaurant nicht würdig. Mich erschreckten die vielen handwerklichen Fehler, ich dachte immer das Knödelhandwerk wird dort einem in die Wiege gelegt. Service war freundlich, kompetent und sehr souverän. Fazit: Von einem Stern eine Galaxy entfernt.

Tolles Ambiente! Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett, vor allem die Bedienung am Tisch war zuvorkommend, freundlich und ruhig. Wir haben das 3-Gänge-Menü ausgewählt. Das Essen kam schnell und war wirklich super lecker. Wenn wir noch einmal in Garmisch-Partenkichen sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

5 Sterne für Service und Essen!!!

Heute wurde uns wieder gezeigt, wie lecker deutsches Essen sein kann. Schönes Ambiente, ein super Service und sehr leckeres Essen.

Leider ist unsere Reservierung durchgerutscht und trotzdem wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und haben einen sehr schönen Platz einnehmen können. Das gesamte Personal war sehr aufmerksam, zugewandt und doch immer im Hintergrund. Das Essen und die Getränke waren absolut herausragend und wirklich sehr lecker! Das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt dabei absolut. Wir können das Restaurant wärmstens weiter empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Geschmackskombinationen wirklich kreativ. Besonders das Dessert mit Ziegenkäsemozarella Eiscreme hat uns begeistert. Der Service war außerordentlich gut. Nur zu empfehlen.

Visited this restaurant two nights in a row after sadly only discovering it towards the end of our one week break in GP. The food was outstanding, each course a culinary delight and the service was excellent. We were so happy with our meal there that we immediately booked in for the following night, the last of our holidays. I am celiac which I only told the restaurant on arrival the first night but which they still catered for wonderfully. However when I came the second night, the chef had specifically baked me some gluten free rolls. I have eaten in many a nice restaurant across the world, a number of them michelen star, but never has the restaurant gone to this much trouble, even when they do know my food requirements in advance. Most gluten free bread is notoriously disgusting and not something I bother with but these freshly baked rolls were delicious! Thank you Joseph Naus Stub'n for making our last two nights in GP so special. Everyone that comes to GP should eat here. Also don't assume because its a Michelin star restaurant that it's very expensive, another great surprise was the value for money you get here.

Nice food and exceptionally kind service. Only 3 stars because the serving size was tiny. Even with the 3 course menu there was barely enough food to feed a small child.

The best restaurant that I have tried in Garmisch. Service was really good. The food was to a high standard and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there. Staying in the same hotel as well was a bonus.

Excellent food in this comfortable restaurant within the Zugspitze hotel. Staff are really friendly.

Outstanding in all categories -- delicious nouvelle German cuisine, lovely service, and cozy, tasteful ambiance. By far the best meal of the weekend. We would return to Garmisch just for this restaurant.

We went to celebrate my wifes' birthday, and I wanted something special. And we came to the right place! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food and drinks are perfect too. This is a place we are sure to visit again. Lucky are the people who stay in the Hotel Zugspitze here in Garmisch.

Great service, helpful service- great food especially the trout & deer, can cook up good vegetarian dishes and also serve good wines

While staying in the Hotel Zugspitze we are here several times. The traditional breakfast was consistently good. Dinner menu somewhat limited although is was off-season. Staff very efficient and by German standards friendly. With so many great places to eat within 5-10 minutes walking distance we would not go out of our way to eat here. But the bar in the hotel is great, with live music and lots of locals in attendance on Thursday nights. Christine in the bar is great--friendly and helpful. We would go out of our way to have a drink here

We went there for a dinner. Personal was nice and friendly, food was great but the whole atmosphere was really interrupted by too bright light at the table which couldn't be changed even after a request. After dinner we went to their bar which was very cosy. Bartender Kristina saved our evening by outstanding service focused on detail and warming and welcoming atmosphere she prepared for us.

We had a lovely meal here. Suptious surroundings with a traditional Stub'n feel. Our kids ate from kids menu, and colouring pencils were already at the table when we arrived for our booking, nice touch. Comfortable seating, nice food. I enjoyed the saddle of lamb. Mmmmm! Beers and white wine were good too. We ate across the lobby, in the Zugspitze Stad'l bar/restaurant on another evening, equally good food and drink. We weren't staying in this hotel.(but might in the future!)

While staying in Hotel Zugspitze we often had dinner in the Naus-Stubn. The personel was always very kind, fast and took very good care of us, starting from seating us nicely to bringing the menu and serving the food quickly. The menu was great and we ate local food as well as kids ate from the kid's menu. The food was very delicious and we did enjoy every dinner we had in the Naus-Stubn. Wine as well as beer was great.

the food was good but there are better restaurants in the vicinity that are of better value and food.
