We were in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for 14 days and really caught our eye on the Zibel-Stube. So try it out. We were very happy with all the food drink service. And music in the background. So it's worth going in or sitting outside.

Good food, nice ambience. That fits. Unfortunately no card payment possible.

This is the best meal we have had during our ten days in Europe! Originally, I asked the hotel to recommend German pork knuckles. But the boss really recommends this steak and beer😳 Once you eat it, you will become addicted~ Where am I going to find such delicious steak when I return to Taiwan? We ordered rib eye, sirloin steak, and pork cordon bleu. A little bit of English is enough to communicate. Please note that all sauces and side dishes are ordered separately. But the food is so delicious ❤️ Although the bill made us wow, it was still within the acceptable range. Three steaks + cordon bleu + drinks = 170 euros The food is really delicious. It is recommended to book a table in advance as there are few seats in the store!

Delicious homemade cheese spaetzle. The portion was a bit too small for my friend, but enough for me. Highly recommended if you want to drink a few cocktails with nice music.

Food was good but evening was ruined by “cash only” that was not posted. We had to find an ATM with only one of our party able to do a cash withdrawal from their credit card.

One of the few places where you can get a Baraquitto in Germany. Good value for money and always equally good.

We ended up in the Zirbel by chance on the first evening - it turned out to be very lucky. The food was so good (schnitzel stuffed with our own filling) that we came back the next day. On this second day, the steaks were so good (finally medium well as ordered, and not too medium) that we came back again. And so it went on. Each of the ten dinners (2 people x 5 meals), whether steak, schnitzel, rigatoni, tasted great. The music is good for our taste, as is the ambience. An absolute recommendation!

Great place for Bavarian food and beer. Found this place since it was the only one in Garmisch that had the kitchen open past 2100.

We were there for the third time now. We ate there on each of our stays in Garmisch. And as always, it was delicious. Not a long wait and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely come back on our next stay.

I showed up there spontaneously with my family and wanted a table for 4 people. I was immediately politely asked to go to the bar to get a great table in a great restaurant with perfect food for the 10 minute wait. Small restaurant or bar with a very cozy atmosphere, good quality food and a diverse selection of drinks. The service is friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. However, only cash payment was accepted, which some guests apparently were not prepared for. The information sign at the entrance was very small and inconspicuous. As a small point of criticism.

The food, especially the meat, was great, but unfortunately the price/performance didn't match. 40€ for beef, vegetables and potato wedges. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't as expected, rustic, yes, but it should be special for the price. Sorry, but my assessment doesn't go beyond ok.

We sat down and had a wonderful time trying local spirits guided by a wonderful Waitress/Bartender/only apparent front of house staff. That being said, she was holding it down. The experience was excellent and the server was welcoming and hospitable. Didn't try the food, but I'm sure, if they take as much care in their serving as cooking, it will be excellent.

In Suzanna´s Zirbel Stube kann man vorzüglich essen. Wer einmal weg vom typisch Bayrischen und hin zur außergewöhnlichen und experimentierfreudigen Küche möchte, der ist mit der Zirbel Stube gut beraten. Wer nach dem Essen dann auch noch ein paar gute Drinks zu sich nehmen möchte kann dies an der gemütlichen Bar tun. Das Team rund um die Wirtin ist megafreundlich und auf Zack. Die Zirbel Stube ist eine der Top Adressen in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. 👍

Meine Meinung nach, einer der besten Restaurants für Schnitzel. Essen war super lecker und qualitativ. Das Personal war freundlich und sehr aufmerksam! Die Ambiente war klein aber fein. Preis Leistung Verhältnis Super für diese Portionen.

Sehr sehr kleine Speisekarten. Aber das Essen war ok. Würde hier eher hingehen um ein Bier zu trinken. Man sitz schon draußen und innen ist es urig.

Waren gestern dort Essen. Sehr leckeres und gutes Essen. Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preise sehr fair und Portionen sehr gut.

Mal was Anderes. Kleine aber feine Karte. Gute Musik im Hintergrund, nicht zu laut. Sehr zu empfehlen. Unbedingt reservieren, drinnen gibt es nur wenige Tische.

I got the Rigatoni Zirbel and it definitely impressed!

J'ai récemment eu l'occasion de dîner au restaurant Zirbel et j'aimerais partager mon expérience. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai trouvé que le repas était correct, mais sans être exceptionnel. Il y avait certains aspects de l'expérience qui ont attiré mon attention, notamment les prix relativement élevés, en particulier pour le vin. L'un des points négatifs que j'ai relevés concerne les prix pratiqués, notamment pour le vin. Le fait de devoir payer 8,50€ pour un verre de vin m'a semblé exagéré. Les tarifs pour les boissons étaient généralement plus élevés que ce à quoi je m'attendais, ce qui a eu un impact sur l'addition finale. Un autre aspect qui a été décevant est le mode de paiement. Le restaurant Zirbel n'accepte que les paiements en espèces. Cela peut être un inconvénient majeur pour ceux qui préfèrent utiliser des modes de paiement électroniques ou qui ne portent pas toujours suffisamment d'argent liquide sur eux. Cela aurait été plus pratique si le restaurant avait également accepté les cartes de crédit ou d'autres formes de paiement électronique. Cependant, je dois souligner que le repas en lui-même était correct. Les plats étaient bien préparés et présentaient une qualité satisfaisante. La cuisine était savoureuse, bien que je n'aie pas été totalement impressionné par les saveurs et les combinaisons proposées. En résumé, mon expérience au restaurant Zirbel a été mitigée. Bien que la nourriture ait été correcte, les prix élevés, en particulier pour le vin, ainsi que l'absence d'options de paiement électronique, ont quelque peu gâché mon expérience. Si vous êtes prêt à dépenser un peu plus et à régler en espèces, cela peut être une option convenable, mais il existe d'autres restaurants offrant un meilleur rapport qualité-prix.

Hier wird man trotz vollem Biergarten sehr herzlich Empfangen. Der Service ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Auf kleine Wünsche und Änderungen geht man ohne Probleme ein. Die Getränke und das Essen waren einwandfrei und kamen sehr schnell. Obwohl es hier sehr umtiebig ist fühlt man sich wohl. Gerne wieder

We tried several nearby places in this area and were fortunate to be seated. I say ortunate because of the delicious food and the great company. The table for six was reserved by two later in the evening, so we were seated. Our appetizer was fantastic. And by then, our new friends arrived. We had an incredible evening talking, and then our meal arrived. This was one of the best meals we had on this trip. Everything was fresh and exceedingly well prepared. Even after it began to rain (and everyone moved inside), the atmosphere was very rustic and pleasing. I couldn't say enough about this location...a definite must eat location. Parking was nearby, but not on site. And our meal was a bit more expensive that the others. But, it was absolutely worth the cost. Of you want authentic German food and atmosphere, don't pass up this location

Waren 2 x dort, da das Essen wirklich lecker ist! (...und sehr viel) Man sollte aber Bargeld mit haben, denn nur das wurde akzeptiert. Bsp. Kosten: 2x Schweinrücken, 1 kl. Salat, 2 Bier: ~65€! Aber ist halt ähnlich in ganz Garmisch... Draußen sitzen ist nicht so schön, da dort direkt Autos fuhren. Die Wartezeit bis zum Essen kann schon einmal ein Stündchen dauern.

Ein sehr schöner Abend. Leckere Speisen, gutes Bier. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Ambiente ist bayrisch urig. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Musik im Hintergrund hat zu keiner Sekunde gestört, sondern war sehr angenehm.

We visited this restaurant because our daughter in laws maiden name is Zirbel - maybe some relation? It was about a 90 minute train ride from Munich so definitely off the beaten path. The town of Garmish seemed to be a classic Bavarian Alps village although most places were closed for the day by the time we arrived. Zirbel was a relatively small bar/restaurant with interesting decor and which seemed to be geared towards locals - we definitely attracted a good number of curious (but not unfriendly) looks when we walked in. Fortunately we had a reservation which was nice since all other tables were taken. The menu was only in German so the chef (I think) came out and answered all our food questions. The food was very good and the chef even made a special dish for one of the 6 in our group. Surprisingly the most expensive meal per person in the 11 days we spent in Europe. Overall a pleasant experience - we were glad to have made the trip.

Durch eine Empfehlung landeten wir in der Zirbelstube. Mit Schnitzel und Salat hatten wir ein sehr gutes Abendessen. Die Schnitzel schienen sehr frisch zubereitet zu sein und die Wedges waren frisch und knusprig. Alles war sehr lecker, die Bedienung sehr nett und die von der Lautstärke angenehme 80iger-Musik im Hintergrund machten einen tollen Abend.

We visited a few years ago and it was dark and traditional. It’s changed and now feels a bit more trendy. The beer of Hopf was the reason we visited and it was good. Food is available but the menu looked expensive, we didn’t see any food to comment on its value for money though

Wir sind durch Zufall in der Zirbel Stube gelandet und haben dort ein leckeres Abendessen in urigem Ambiente serviert bekommen. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass alle Speisen frisch zubereitet wurden. Neben gutem Bier gibt es hier eine gute Auswahl an Cocktails und Longdrinks. Es lief für die Region eher untypische lateinamerikanische Musik, die wir als etwas laut empfunden haben. Preislich ist die Zirbel Stube im oberen moderaten Bereich angesiedelt.

We went early evening for a drink before eating out in Garmisch as the outside area looked pleasant to sit and ordered a beer and a glass of white wine. The drinks were served quickly and efficiently however I am astounded at the €13,- price tag! We will not be visiting again at these inflated prices!!

Wir haben hier heute das Chili und die Spare Ribs gegessen. Leider waren die Spare Ribs etwas trocken, allerdings die Pommes und der Knoblauch Dip …der Hammer! Das Chili war gut gewürzt und ausreichend scharf. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und hat sich gekümmert. Das Ambiente und die Musik sind cool, wir würden wieder kommen.

Very expensive and not worth the money. The staff ignore to give you money back and keep the change so if you don’t want want to give too much tip you have to ask for money in return. They only take cash and if you didn’t notice this when strolling in they send you out to an ATM. The price of beer is also very high. This place has gone from cosy to not wort visiting.

Great service from the staff and was quickly seated to a beautiful table after being checked for our vaccination status. Clean, comfortable, and the food was outstanding. Had the pork medallions, salad wth steak, and chicken schnitzel; so delicious!

I ate here with a group of 10 people (2 families). I was able to make a reservation online for 7:30 , after being turned down at 4 other restaurants, with no fuss. We were seated as soon as we arrived, which was about 20 minutes early. The 2 gentlemen who helped us throughout the evening were amazing. They were patient with us ( we are American and speak just a little German), explained many items on the menu, and were great with the kids. The food was great. I had the steakbrot and highly recommend it. My wife had the Provence salad with entrecote and also liked it a lot. 2 of my daughters had schnitzel and 1 had tomato soup. My youngest liked the taste of the tomato soup but thought it was too chunky. My buddy had a 500g steak and this thing was huge. It looked like it weighed more than 500g. He greatly enjoyed it. One of our friend's kids had chicken wings and country potatoes. I didn't try the potatoes but had a wing and it was tasty. My wife and her friend had a mango and strawberry Aperol spritz and enjoyed them. Service was great, the food took a while but we had a large group and the quality was well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen ist nicht frisch zubereitet. Zuger die Bratkartoffeln wurde von paar Tagen zubereitet und einfach warm gemacht. So schlecht habe ich noch nicht in meinem Leben gegessen.

В помещении было очень много людей, окна не открывались, громко играла музыка. Стейк и шницель приготовлены хорошо, но ждать пришлось более 45 минут. Традиционные немецкие десерты здесь не подают вечером, но не факт, что и готовят.

This was our second night, and we were pleasantly surprised to have another fantastic meal, specialising in local cuisine. The atmosphere was really good, service very good, with the food being exceptionally tasty. Portions exceptionally generous as well.

You will never want to eat any other tomato soup again! We were staying right next door and our host mentioned that the food was good here. After a long day of driving we thought "why not". Best decision ever! We ended up tossing our other plans and ate at Zirbel all three nights of our stay - I had the tomato soup twice and would love the recipe! It is very fun to just hang out listening to music having some wine and beer, chatting with the chef Susanna(?) The first night we went they played the whole (Queen) Bohemian Raphsody album - what's not to love??? Fantastic place!

We eat here anytime we are in Garmisch. Its got an amazing menu with a lot of variety and the prices are great. Zuzanah is the chef and she makes every item. Whether you want typical German food or more creative options like Curry Pasta or some asian influenced fare-- its got options for everyone. All the meals are fantastic. Its more of a hangout for locals and the bar/music is fantastic. We brought our teenagers as well and they loved it. The staff is amazing- they make you feel very welcome and enjoy seeing us again and again. Its kind of like finding the famous bar CHEERS in this beautiful little town-- they get to know you and what you like to eat and drink. And the atmosphere is warm and cozy. For us its a MUST anytime we are in Garmisch and we go several times a week.

WE have been coming here for many years, when the Army dental convention is in Garmisch. It is an amazing hole in the wall, off the beaten track...and always a delicious and fun atmosphere. This time, I had the flammkuchen, Italian style and it was excellent...the perfect crackery crust...the others in our group had the curry and the Weiner schnitzel...all enjoyed their dinners....I love the atmosphere, more like the places of my college years in Kent, Ohio...and Tiberios, the waiter from Portugal...WOW! Easy on the eyes of course, but a knowledgeable and fun host. 70's music played in the background and it was fun to try and guess who was the singer/band...love this place!

Susanna and her restaurant was the best experience I have had in Germany. She treated us like friends, fed us well, served the best drinks with the food pairings, and called us a taxi when it started to rain. She also served us another drink...

Delicious speciality called Steakbrot with Dark beer. Delicious cocktails too. But the winning horse is that this place is open till 1am and the kitchen till 11pm. The place is a typical Bavarian style, cosy and modern at the same time with a little loud...
