We went there for dinner. Unfortunately, the schnitzel with fries didn't impress us this time, neither in terms of taste nor quality. It tasted more like a pre-made schnitzel and was very dry, which was disappointing considering the price of €19. Since this wasn't the first time the food hadn't quite lived up to expectations, it somewhat marred our overall impression. As a customer who has happily recommended the restaurant in the past, I will be more hesitant to do so in the future. On a positive note, the service was very friendly and attentive.

A beautifully decorated traditional inn, lovingly furnished with rustic charm yet very modern. The service was warm and professional, and the food was of outstanding quality. No frills, just delicious, and there's even a vegan option on the menu. Highly recommended! And very child-friendly.

I only stayed in the parking lot; it must be good, considering the number of visitors to the restaurant and accommodations. I stayed one night in my camper; I started ski touring here. I was a bit disappointed because the skins didn't slide downhill, even with the skis slicked on. Experience, you never stop learning. A very beautiful area.

A lovely restaurant in the Allgäu region, cozy and charming with very friendly and competent service. The food was simply fantastic. I had the venison goulash with Spätzle, and my wife had the venison sauerbraten with dumplings. Overall, a real recommendation for anyone who enjoys traditional, hearty cuisine. We'll be back soon! This was our second Christmas at the Hirschen, and what can I say? It was just as fantastic as the first time. The restaurant is cozy and charmingly rustic. Even though it has so many seats and is always full, you don't have to wait long for your food, and it tastes amazing. The organization and service are very professional. The service is very friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. It's a shame there aren't more places like this. It's always worth a visit; we'll definitely be back!

The schnitzels are delicious and extremely large. The price is perfectly reasonable for the service and the size of the portions. The service deserves special mention. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. The food arrived in record time. The drinks were on the table less than two minutes after we ordered them. Simply a wonderful, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. We've already made a reservation for New Year's. So, as promised... we'll be back! :-)

If you're looking for a good meal, this isn't the place. Schnitzel with fries and salad: €19. The schnitzel was frozen, the fries were dry and unsalted, the salad was limp and unappetizing, and the dressing came straight from a bucket. A complete rip-off, totally overpriced. I'm never going back. At that price, it's simply inedible.

We've been to this restaurant several times for dinner. They have a changing themed menu, a well-balanced menu for adults, but also a good selection for children. Our kids also like the sausages and mashed potatoes - sometimes without fries. We've always enjoyed the food, whether it's venison, pork, or fish. The dessert is also delicious :-) The service is absolutely prompt and friendly.

It's been a while since our visit (just for dinner), but I still wanted to write a review. Our visit was truly wonderful; the service was super friendly, and the food was simply delicious 😊 The location is also very inviting, both in terms of its quiet setting and the interior design. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back – we've already booked a date for next year at the latest. We're already looking forward to it! 😊

The food was exceptionally good

We ate at the Hirsch for the first time today. We've been coming to the Allgäu for 30 years and have always eaten very well, but rarely have we had such a good meal as at the Hirsch. Very friendly, pleasant, and very well-organized service. We will add this restaurant to our "to-do" list and would love to come back. Thank you for such a delicious meal and the lovely atmosphere in the restaurant.

We've been vacationing in the Allgäu for years. Visiting the Lustiger Hirsch on Thursdays for cheese spaetzle evening has become a firm tradition. The food is incredibly delicious, the staff is super friendly, and you don't have to wait long for your meal. My daughter (9) always reminds me that we absolutely can't forget cheese spaetzle evening... 👍🏻 We're already looking forward to the next time.

We were here for the second and therefore last time ☹️ The food wasn't even average. The side salad was outrageous, see photo. We showed it to the waitress and explained, she just said sorry and we'd charged everything. I also find it absolutely awful that they assign a visit slot, with a clearly defined end time. We had to wait forever for our food that day and didn't have a chance to have dessert. Absolute profit maximization at the expense of the customer. Unfortunately, we don't understand all the good reviews here.

The Luschdige is truly amazing: You're greeted by the chef himself right away. It always seems to be packed. And yet, the very friendly and authentic waiters manage to serve freshly prepared and absolutely delicious dishes to our table of eight within 15 minutes. After less than 90 minutes, we were back out, appetizer and dessert included. I can only take my hat off to the restaurant and warmly recommend the Lustiger Hirsch in Akams. May the restaurant continue to be successful for a long time.

We went there because of the good reviews. There was only room on the terrace, which was okay. We chose the most expensive dish for €35 [pepper steak], and it was a complete disaster. We ordered medium, and the steak was cooked all the way through. The waitress tried to convince us it was medium, and we should come inside the restaurant because the lighting was different. 😂 After consulting with the chef, we couldn't agree. His statement was even more insulting. Absolutely unacceptable. That's not how you treat customers. Good advice to the chef: remove the dish from the menu. I haven't had such a lackluster plate in a long time. We won't be back...

Absolutely disappointing and disrespectful! I ordered a pepper steak medium and explicitly emphasized when ordering that I wanted it medium, but I definitely got it medium-well (see photo). When I complained, I was told, "It looks like this under the light." Even worse: A waiter claimed it was medium and seriously suggested I should order my food in English – but in Germany, it should be a given that you order in German and are understood. The waiter should better learn what the doneness of a steak actually means! This kind of treatment of guests is outrageous. Never again!

Today, four of us went to the funny Hirschen restaurant, which unfortunately didn't impress us with its culinary offerings. The Kässpatzen (cheese spaetzle) was soggy, without any of the typical mountain cheese, and at €16.50, it was overpriced for a small portion. The roast beef was also a tiny portion at €29.50. No response to any complaints. The chef never showed up. All in all, a culinary tourist flop. Not recommended. There are better options in the Allgäu.

We went there today for cheese spaetzle, and it was delicious. Good service! The fact that you can only book time slots bothers me a bit, it makes the visit a bit less relaxing. At 5 p.m., no one's hungry yet, but 7:45 p.m. is just not possible with small children.

Fantastic guesthouse with excellent food. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfortable. Heating worked great in the winter. Beautiful area for morning walks. Large parking lot for hotel guests and restaurant guests. Restaurant downstairs was delicious. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. They had live music one of the nights I stayed here but it did not last late into the night.

We only visited the restaurant. The restaurant is very large and busy. Reservations make sense. We sat at the bar, and the reception and staff simply exuded a restless air. Personally, I found dinner a bit too hectic, as you only have a time slot for your meal (1.5 hours). We had to wait about 5 minutes at reception for someone to pick us up. The drinks also took a while to arrive. This was due to the restaurant being full and only one person at the bar. Unfortunately, the house Merzen beer wasn't available. The food was delicious and the portions were good. The prices are also good.

You've created a beautiful restaurant, there's much to marvel at, you have a top-notch team, and the kitchen produces superbly handcrafted food. It was truly delicious. The service is attentive, friendly, and professional. Questions and criticisms are received in a friendly manner and dealt with professionally. We had lunch here. The food and drinks were very good. The children's dishes are presented in a very fun way. We received friendly service, and there's a playground, which is clearly visible from some tables.

Clearly, a lot of emphasis is placed on accommodating large numbers of guests here. Everything moves quickly, but unfortunately, we had watery dumplings and dry schnitzels. The waiter reacted dismissively to the criticism. Even when we asked about the high chair, the reply was brief: "You'll just have to see what's left inside!" It's a shame, because the location is, of course, great. The restrooms were clean.

The ambiance is very nice, somewhere between traditional Bavarian and modern. The food is, last but not least, very good. The drive to Akams is definitely worth it.

We went to the beer garden and had an excellent meal. The homemade cheese spaetzle (Kasspatzen) was delicious. The service was also excellent. Luckily, there was live music (accordion and vocals), which I personally thought was perfect. A real insider tip in the Immenstadt region.

We stayed in a vacation apartment just a few steps from the Lustiges Hirsch for a week. Since we were traveling with a dog, we weren't allowed in the restaurant, but they always tried to find us a covered outdoor spot. This worked without exception. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. The owner was also very friendly. We would gladly come back.
