A fantastic restaurant. Great service, delicious food, and a truly relaxing atmosphere.

We waited at the counter for 7 minutes so the prince of a waiter could tell us if a table for three was available. We left. Thanks for nothing.

It's a nice place with character to hang out, enjoy food and drinks with attentive and friendly service and tasty food. I truly enjoyed my time here.

Recommended restaurant, rustic atmosphere with small limitations. Table arrangement very tight. Everything is a little hectic. The currywurst was only spicy because of the sauce, the sausage itself was a bit fluffy. The portion was decent in relation to the price-performance ratio.

I was pleasantly surprised how quaint this place is for being located so directly near perhaps the most tourist-heavy place in Berlin. It had great reviews and we were in the area, so we decided to pop in and try it. We were seated with no wait and given the newspaper menus, which I found really charming. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel of course and my date got the Wurstparade (sausage platter). While we waited, we couldn't help but hear how many different languages were being spoken all around us. If you're looking for a quiet German meal, this is not the place! It will almost definitely be bumping with tourists from all over. But it was fun to see the groups of people, hear what they thought about Berlin, and listen to what they planned to do next. Our food came not too long after and it looked delicious, so we chowed down. The schnitzel was solid, especially paired with the Preiselbeeren, and the sausages were all great as well. Nothing was the best I'd ever had, but I must say it exceeded my expectations. The service was really friendly and of course speak English. You do feel tucked away a bit from Unter den Linden, which is nice, but because it's so lively, the cozy atmosphere suffers a bit. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, but didn't feel the need to linger because it was so hectic.

Staff and atmosphere were nice. Just had a potato soup and a tarte flambée. Neither of these things blew us away. Unfortunately, the bacon on the tarte flambée was too salty. Tarte flambée could have stayed in the oven a little longer for us.

The food and drink menu is sensational and there is plenty to choose from for both small and large appetites. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I'm looking forward to taking the outside seats in the sunshine and warmth. I'd love to come back.

A truly wonderful setting. The gentleman with the white beard who served us is a model of professionalism. With subtle humor, knowledgeable about the menu and excellent English! Food amazing, loved the crispy knuckle and the warm strudel with cream. Highly recommend!

I had a Pürierte Tomatensuppe some time ago. The ingredients were good. Staff spoke English and it was a nice meal👍🏽

My husband and I each ordered a different dish. Not sure if it was because my knuckle took longer, but his pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce was almost cold when it was served. The staff was mixed - some were nice, but others simply blocked the way even though they had nothing in their hands (I specifically moved to the side, but he kept walking without saying a word). And there wasn't even a goodbye when we left. Overall, the whole thing seemed pretty unfriendly. You probably shouldn't expect too much from a restaurant in the middle of a tourist area, but I definitely wouldn't go there again with friends visiting Berlin.

I was too shy to tell the young waiter how handsome he was. He looked my age. Hopefully the staff reads this and passes on the message!

This is a great restaurant that made me love German 🇩🇪 cuisine, which I used to dislike. The staff on the floor were also friendly and cheerful, which I liked. The currywurst here is not B-grade gourmet, it's real food and it's delicious! Please try it! When paying the bill, you are forced to choose a tip of 8% or more. You can also use the restaurant's WiFi 🛜.

Excellent dinner in a typical German restaurant

Nice restaurant with typical Berlin dishes. The frankfurters are not bad as are the meatballs. Really good sauerkraut like mashed potatoes.

It tastes very tasty. Waitress gave us recommendation, “Nice people”. A Berlin cousin for sure. I'll be back exploring other meals.

A great historic Berlin restaurant... Pleasantly rustic furnishings with great staff who have already matured a bit with the restaurant... Still very fast, friendly and attentive... Good old German cuisine with a few extras... What I think is a shame that these things are slowly dying out... My pork knuckle was a show and so was my wife's tarte flambée... Finally, there was the Kaiser-Kümmel 38% to digest...

The food and the service were phenomenal. I had traditional sausage with cabbage, my husband had the soups and variety of sausages. We finished the dinner with a cup of three scoops of ice cream and apple strudel. Everything was just perfect. Our waiter spoke English and was very nice and attentive. Portions were good and the price were fair. We love this place and definitely will recommend.

I visited this place once while in Berlin on a work trip. I loved the food and the atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty busy. The staff were nice and friendly. The prices seemed pretty reasonable.

The service was great, the food was pretty standard to mediocre, and the price was very high. Wiener Schnitzel wasn't fried really crispy. Waited a relatively long time. Rather touristy, so I doubt whether I'll eat there again.

Die Lage lässt es natürlich vermuten: Hier werden Touristen mit "Alt-Berliner"-Gerichten bedient. Das trifft auch auf uns zu, also sind wir mit mäßiger Erwartung eingekehrt. Was soll ich sagen? Gutes Ambiente, aufmerksame Bedienung und ein sehr gutes und solides Essen bekommen - ohne Schnick-Schnack, dafür schmackhaft. Hier gehe ich bestimmt nochmal hin.

Mi marido y yo visitamos este restaurante en nuestra primera noche en Berlín (está abierto un domingo y no muchos restaurantes lo son). Yo tenía el Wiener Schnitzel y él tenía el kebab de cerdo, también pedimos un lado de chucrut y pepinillos en escabeche. La comida era buena. También compartimos el strudel de manzana de postre que era sabroso pero ligeramente en el lado empapado. El personal era muy amable, atento y acogedor. En general, una buena experiencia y lo recomendaría.

We were at Nante-Eck on Friday and were lucky to get a table with a reservation. The service was very good, quick and friendly. Overall, the atmosphere in the restaurant is equally casual and conversational. On the one hand, this makes it down-to-earth and typical, but on the other hand, it is very loud and tends to be tiring for conversations. Our food was very tasty and really tasted like Berlin. :-) It's worth having dinner here.

Decent service, good German food (we had Wiener schnitzel and currywurst with fried potatoes). Busy place around lunchtime so bear that in mind if you're popping in without booking. Would eat here again and would recommend to others

The food is, spectacular. I had calf liver, apple strudel with whip cream and ice cream for dessert. A glass of Österreich Austrian red wine and an espresso. Liver with mash potato's and gravy was totally delicious specially the sauce and the meat was perfectly cooked. Apple strudel freshly made it and the ice cream is delicious. About the wine, one of the best I have ever had. Espresso also one of the bests I drink in a restaurant. More and more importantly service is amazing. Waiters are very friendly and professional. Totally 10/10. I will be back in my next visit in Berlin.

As a German, the food was okay, it wasn't bad but also not the best, it felt a bit more touristy and I would try out a different German restaurant the next time, the waiters were friendly tho and everything didn't take long to be served but it also wasn't crowded at that time

I had high expectations because the reviews were very good, but I was a little disappointed. I think it was because Flamkuchen's bacon was stronger than expected. However, considering that the tart I had for dessert was good, I don't think there was a problem with the dish itself, and it felt a bit like they were forcing a tip when paying.

The house is located almost directly at the “Unter den Linden” subway station and the pike-perch dish tasted good. In the evening the house is well attended.

We had to wait a bit to be sited but our waiter was very nice to us at all times. The food was also very good and I think it's a good place to try German food. They also have this cool beer with sparkling water and raspberry syrup, which was light and delicious.

We decided to have our last dinner in Berlin at a traditional German restaurant. Portions are very large and filling. The salads and appetizers that come with the main course are delicious. Schnitzel is especially recommended. It's delicious with beer. When you compare the price you pay with the food you eat, the prices are very normal and cheaper than in Turkey. We paid an average bill of around 100 Euros for three people. The food we ate and the ambiance etc. were very suitable.

I actually wanted to visit this restaurant before but it only happened recently. We arrived almost an hour early before the actual reservation, but we weren't turned away and were quickly assigned a table. The restaurant was very well attended. The staff very accommodating and friendly. The food…I ordered Berlin veal liver. It was also tasty, even though it had a lot of tendons that you had to really chew through. My partner ordered the pork knuckle - it was a fiasco: dry, tough, even though the pork had walked several kilometers to Berlin, sauerkraut tasted and smelled like old socks, was dry, the potatoes were dry and raw - everything was simple inedible. The waitress just shrugged her shoulders when she complained. We should pay either way. As a small compensation we got mango ice cream. Conclusion: staff 4 stars. Liver 3 stars, knuckle 1 star, location 4 stars. Second time we don't want to eat here.

If you’re sensitive to gamey flavors, you might want to avoid the pork knuckle, which had a noticeable gaminess and was very hard to cut. It wasn’t the kind that falls off the bone—the meat was tightly stuck to the bone, quite difficult to eat. I also felt the pork knuckle itself didn’t have much flavor, it mainly relied on the sauce and salty sauerkraut. However, sausages came with the exact same sauce and extremely salty sauerkraut, so ordering two dishes but it felt like essentially eating the same thing.🙂‍↔️ The “tomato soup” turned out to be something like tomato sauce, for bread to dip instead of a “soup”. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the cinnamon tea for €5.50. My friend, who was on her period and very thirsty, asked for two refills of hot water. When we got the bill, we realized that the two refills cost €5, meaning she drank €10.50 worth of water in total, 🤣 LMAO

A small but well recommended German restaurant not far from the Brandenburg gate and other sites. We got a seat when we came in but the coat rack was right next to our table and was also full which meant it took a bit of our eating space away. Like all good German pork knuckles this was a generous beast and myself and my boyfriend disagreed over the dumpling that accompanied it, he was a fan I was not. The veal schnitzel came with a perfect sized side of fried potato and bacon mixed with a little veg. We both felt that both meals were slightly dry or lacking some sides or sauces to really make it a great meal. Loses points at the end as we had decided to get an apple strudel, but after a while of waiting with empty plates without being acknowledged we decided we had lost our appetite for dessert and decided to settle the bill and leave.

Delicious place, everything was good, nice portions, well stocked and lots of vegetables with raw vegetables, very good kartoffel soup, schnitzel is excellent, tender and crispy accompanied with roast potatoes! I tried the famous grilled pork skewer with onions, with appelshtroudel and Kartoffelpouffel dessert, a treat 🥰

Searched thoroughly for the typical classic German eatery in Berlín and was pleased to have chosen this location out of like 5-6 in my final list (since we were only in Berlin for 2 nights) The food is prompt, made well with quality flavors and portions. I enjoyed one of the traditional Berlin dishes along with local popular beers. I could've honestly spent quite a bit of time in this restaurant drinking beers before, during, and after my meals. Very lively environment with a packed setting, so I'm glad I made a reservation earlier in the day. Overall, I hope to come back when back in Germany if the future allows.

Approved! Top location on the street that connects the Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island. The place is large and the service very punctual and kind. We arrived without a reservation and they had no problem accommodating us. The menu in German is presented on a fake newspaper with a QR code to read the text in other languages, accompanied by photos. The menu is in line with what the city offers (therefore almost all meat and potato dishes), but typical. The dessert menu includes various types of strudel and other typical desserts. Account in line with the Berlin average. Advised!

That's really a thing... it's best to believe the worst reviews! This restaurant makes bad reviews disappear. So we had a really bad experience here during our Berlin vacation. Here is my review again (at least for a short while 😉): Had to wait more than 40 minutes for our food. We thought the waitress was embarrassed because of the delay and offered us a free treat (Schmalztöpfchen). We thanked her and noticed later that she added it to our invoice. Well there are so many wonderful other restaurants in the area that we won't be back.

It appears to be Berlin food. It was fun because it tasted like boiled pork, and I liked it because it was a familiar taste. However, the soup is a bit strong. Considering that, it was a good meal all around.

The whole time I was in the restaurant I was wondering which of the furnishings and furniture was supposed to remind me of old Berlin 100 years ago. The Paulaner beer mug on modern tables? The modern window facade? The electric tea light? The restaurant is purely a tourist shop with no atmosphere! The food was okay, but by no means good! I wouldn't go to this restaurant again with my family! We have already spent nicer evenings in the real Berlin corner bars!

Pretty busy place. We were assigned a table for exactly 1.5 hours. You have to like it, but it makes the visit a little less relaxing. The food is very tasty, but unfortunately the portions were too small for the price quoted. The coachman's goulash and the meatballs promise a generous portion just from the name. We are normal eaters but at this price you can expect more than 5 pieces of meat for the goulash. Service was top and the atmosphere is appealing.
