We wanted to eat German cuisine and it tasted delicious. We came at 14.00 on Sunday, and hostess usked us to wait 20 minutes until the table becomes free. But he lies, we waited only 5 minutes)) Large and delicious portions, friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices—that's all you need to know about this restaurant. We'll definitely be back when we're in Berlin.

While in Berlin, we visited the Nante-Eck restaurant in the Mitte district, and I must admit it was a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is located in the heart of the city, in a very atmospheric spot, so the surroundings alone invite you to visit. The interior is decorated in a traditional German style—wooden tables, pleasant lighting, and an atmosphere that immediately puts you in a good mood. The food was truly delicious, fresh, and well-seasoned. It's clear that the kitchen focuses on the quality and authentic flavor of German dishes. We ordered classic dishes typical of German cuisine—generous portions, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. I must admit that, as a Polish person, I immediately noticed that the cuisine in Nante-Eck has something in common with ours—it's filling, home-cooked, and prepared with love. However, the difference is that German dishes are a bit heavier and meatier. The sauces are thicker and the spices more delicate than in Poland. Despite this, everything was very well-balanced and tasted delicious. The service was polite and professional, and even though the restaurant was crowded, the waiters had time to offer advice and chat with a smile. It's clear they care about tourists and strive to make everyone feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable for central Berlin—the portions are large, so you can really fill up. Compared to similar places in Poland, I'd say the quality of the food and service is very high, perhaps even higher when it comes to attention to detail and the presentation of the dishes. Finally, we tried dessert—a classic apfelstrudel with ice cream and whipped cream. It was simply delicious! Warm, fragrant with cinnamon, and perfectly sweet. In summary, Nante-Eck is definitely a place worth visiting if you want to try traditional German cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. As a Pole, it was an interesting comparison—similar flavors, but in a completely different style. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The worst worst worst service I've ever had. They forgot our foods and even threw the recipes on out table after the payment💢. We had to wait our first food over 40 minutes, and more 20 minutes for our desserts and they skipped out orders and had to make it again!! HOLY MOLY!!💢 we stayed there for 2 hours but the only time we had food was just 20 minutes, except for that we had to wait the whole hours.you know. This is totally disappointing. I WONT GO THERE AGAIN.

The place is very cozy, well decorated, the prices are quite good and I could even order bread without paying extra, I loved the green beer (Berliner Weiße traditionell Waldmeistersirup)

Nice warm atmosphere and wholesome german food. Only downside was I wasn’t a fan of their potatoes on the side. It is okay not to have fries but it could have been more tasty at least. I dont think it is a place for kids and small children.

And the fashion concept store across the street has unfortunately permanently closed. - - - - - I have eaten here many times and also brought many friends. More than 30 people have eaten here because of my recommendation. Usually, you don’t need a reservation or to wait in line, and you can enjoy very delicious traditional Berlin food. The location is also great, close to many attractions, and there is even a famous fashion store right across the street. Until today, this was almost my favourite traditional Berlin restaurant. The first time I came, the waiter was very handsome and the service was nice. I never saw him again, but the service quality was always okay – until today. Today I came alone, ordered BerlinerEisbein and Apfelschorle. The waiter was unprofessional and openly rudeness. During my meals before checkout, he was relatively polite. While I was still eating and taking a break, he came over and asked: “Excuse me, are you finish?” I said “No.” He replied “Alles gut.” Later, after I finished eating, he came again to confirm if I was done, and I told him “Zahlen.” Then he started explaining the buttles of POS machine, clearly trying to push me to leave a tip. I pressed Kein Trinkgeld. He switched into German and the general meaning was „Das ist für mich und die Küche! Woher kommst du?! Gibst du kein Trinkgeld? In Deutschland ist es ganz normal, Trinkgeld zu geben!“ My German and English are only basic – enough to understand but not to argue. I only answered my country name and said No. It is also obvious that in Germany, not every solo traveler or young guest gives a tip, and that should never be a problem. Up to this point, I could still accept it as just an unprofessional waiter in restaurant near some tourist attractions. I even smiled and said Danke when leaving. But he responded with something like “... nie … sehen” or “... nicht sehen” – something like he never wanted to see me again here. Looking at recent Google reviews, I see I am not the only one who experienced this arrogant luxury service. This waiter was relatively young middle-aged man, slightly darker complexion, thick black beard, ordinary haircut. Unfortunately, I did not notice his name. I strongly recommend that the restaurant fire him, or at least assign him to a position without direct contact with guests. As he himself seemed to wish, let him never sehen with customers again. Distributing his share of the pay to other competent waiters would clearly improve both service quality and the business. If I don’t get a serious answer, I will make sure to warn all sensible guests in my language on social media to avoid this restaurant, which I once held in high regard.

We treated ourselves to two cold drinks, and the location was perfect for a relaxing break. Very attentive service and, contrary to expectations, not overpriced. And you can even see a few towers from here 😉

The reservation confirmation more or less clearly states that you'll be kicked out of the restaurant after two hours: "Note: We have planned a stay of two hours." The bill, with comparable audacity, demands a 10% tip: "Tip is not included. Usually 10% in Germany." Hospitality and joy for (paying) guests look different, even in a tourist trap like Nante. The food was average and OK. The staff, on the other hand, was first-class; the service was excellent all around, despite the busy Sunday lunchtime crowd.

The food is good, but the service is terrible. There were two of us, and we ordered soup and a schnitzel with potatoes. The soup arrived about a quarter of an hour later, and the schnitzel 30 minutes later. For a second bottle of water, we had to wait 15 minutes and ask three times. Another 20 minutes for coffee and a quarter of an hour for the bill... basically, we arrived at 1:45 PM and left at 3:10 PM!

It was delicious. The food and the service were amazing, the place is really comfy. If I have just one bad thing to say is that one of the servers insisted on talking to my male friend instead of me (a woman) even though I was the one doing the talk since my friend didn't know any english. This did really ick me since I insisted on having the attention redirected to me and it was not happening. However this server was still kind and all, but this thing left me a little bit annoyed.

We had to wait over an hour for our food. It wasn't as advertised and, unfortunately, tasted terrible. When we paid, we were even charged one meal too many, which we thankfully noticed on the spot.

Good restaurant for Berlin cuisine. Unfortunately, the food all seemed a bit pre-prepared and arrived after about seven minutes. That's a bit of a stretch for a huge, crispy grilled ham hock, and the fillet dish with mushrooms was unfortunately only lukewarm. Otherwise, it was very tasty and the service very good.

This restaurant is very close to the Brandenburg Tor and it’s just in our way back to the hotel so we decided to give it a try. We were welcomed by friendly staff and informed that we would only have 1 hr and 15 mins to eat because we didn’t make a reservation which is very understandable considering the time and its location. We ordered the beef liver to try out since it says it’s a local specialty. It’s cooked very nicely just that I can’t eat that much organ. I had a piece and it was pretty good. For those of you who haven’t had beef liver but just want to try it out, I would suggest you order it as a dish for table to share instead of your main course. It would be nice if it’s just an appetizer. I also got the crayfish bisque but it was salty. My husband had the sausage platter which is very average. The drinks came shortly after the meal but they weren’t the size we want and we didn’t realize until we were ready to go and found out we still had so much beer left lol. Our server took our order and came once to check on us. In the end, I didn’t feel like giving a tip because tips are not expected in Germany and I didn’t receive good table service that made me want to tip. The server brought the POS machine over when I asked to pay and tips were added when I tapped my card. I told him I don’t want to tip and asked how to get back to the previous screen. He asked why I didn’t tip and I explained. He doesn’t seem to be happy about it but well. Overall, it’s alright if you just want something to eat that’s close to the Brandenburg Tor

The food was okay, but not something very delicious. The waiters were rude, we waited for our order for 40 minutes even tho other visitors who came after us already got their order and when we wanted to ask the waiter about our order and she yelled I’m not ur waiter! And then we found the WORM on our table after the waiter picked up the dishes.

We went on 8/10/2025 and there was no waiting time if we wanted to seat outside and to which we agreed , however the resturant was quite crowded , recommended reservations,english menue available ..the food is good specially if one likes German cuisine. We were waited upon by Marcos who was very good.

My friends and I wanted to try the traditional food and we weren't disappointed. It was a bit heavy for our tastes, but I don't feel like penalizing it just for that. We had chicken gratin with spicy cheese sauce (it wasn't spicy), mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables, and the Berliner meatballs. Recommended!

Even children aren't allowed to use the bathroom here; that's a no-go for children! I would have left a small donation for that, too.

We got a table quickly as it wasn't that busy. My husband ordered crispy pork knuckle. This was very large. Unfortunately it wasn't that crispy. I ordered cultural café. This was substantial and tasted a bit bland. The restaurant has different styles in different rooms. Ask to choose which room you can look at before you sit down.

German restaurant located on a main street. We were struck by the large number of locals when we entered, which is always a good sign. The food was superb, and the service was also very good. I would recommend any dish on the menu. We tried the soup, the Berliner hors d'oeuvres, and the pork knuckle, among other dishes, and they were all spectacular. We would definitely return.

I visited the restaurant on the first night (10/3) after arriving in Germany. The exterior and atmosphere of the restaurant were neat, but when I gave my reservation name, the male staff member wearing glasses laughed and said, "I don't understand Chinese." I can't help but feel that this was a racist attitude. I had thought that awareness of the issue of discrimination had increased in recent years, but on my first day in Germany, I was reminded that the reality has not changed. If you look closely at past reviews, you will see that there are indications that the staff's attitude towards foreign tourists is problematic. I went there on my very first night in Germany (3rd October), and it turned out to be very disappointing. The restaurant looked decent, but when I gave my reservation name, the guy with glasses laughed at me and said he didn’t understand Chinese. with the staff’s attitude toward foreign tourists. Shame. Es war meine erste Nacht in Deutschland –Es war ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis. Chinesisch (Ich bin nicht einmal Chinese). Das war ganz klar rassistisch. Schade.

I tried (and you probably did) the Wiener schnitzel (Grobes Kalbsschnitzel), which was well-made, crispy breaded, and generously portioned. The side dishes (fried/roast potatoes, mixed salad) complement the dish well.  Other typical dishes like goulash, sausages, and veal liver with apples and onions are appreciated by other guests, both for their flavor and their faithfulness to tradition. We are visiting from Ottawa 🇨🇦 and just had dinner here after checking the reviews and it lived up to the hype. The restaurant is beautiful and atmospheric with a lively atmosphere. Our server, Marko, was attentive and friendly and service was quick. The food (and dessert!) were wonderful. I had the vegetarian Flammkuchen, my partner had chicken breast. Will come again next time we are in Berlin!

I absolutely loved my first time here I had to come back. My partner and I first visited on the weekend and had a great time. We were quickly seated and given a choice of table. Our servers were amazing - so polite, patient and quick to get everything to us. Would highly recommend the Klassik Flammkuchen. Tastes great and nice to share for those with a smaller appetite. The second time we visited we also had the fried potatoes. Those were excellent too. For desert we tried the Apple Strudel and different cakes across the two visits. Again - can't recommend them enough, if I return to Germany again, I'll be back.
