Enzian in Berlin

Very nice place and delicious food

Right across the Pergamon museum, this nice cellar style restaurant has great traditional German food and friendly, quick service. They have a few gluten free options sudh ad salads and currywurst. They have nice, quiet atmosphere. I must say this is the quietest, most plasant eatery I have seen in Berlin so far. Close proximity to major museums makes it a great choice for visitors. Prices are very reasonable.

The service was very friendly, but a little overwhelmed. The chef seemed to have no control over the kitchen. We sat so close that we could hear every word. He didn't have the soup that was on the menu. He ran to the next door (second restaurant?) with a pot and got it. There was only enough bacon for one of our tarte flambées, and he had to go back to the other restaurant to get some for the second one. Topping tarte flambée wasn't his thing either. The waiter pointed out to him with the second tarte flambée that he had way too much sour cream and cheese on it, which would make everything soggy. As I said, you could hear it all! He was completely out of ideas about food. When the tarte flambées arrived, one was indeed swimming in fat and soggy. One was halfway edible, but the second went back immediately. This was accepted without a hitch, with full understanding of the condition! Okay for drinking, but better not for eating!!

Love this place the food was excellent if you're going to Berlin Botanical Garden I recommend this stop right outside the bahnhof botanischer Garden train station

The place is warm and welcoming. The staff, even though they don't speak English, are friendly and very professional. The food is delicious.

It's a nice little place where you can eat well at a good price. The service is excellent.

I appreciated the service and the atmosphere. I can't appreciate the food. Yesterday we went to have lunch with a group of 5 people. They served 3 dishes, but forgot about two. I was left hungry, so I don't know how the food tastes in this establishment.

The opening hours are not up to date. The restaurant closes at 7:00 PM, NOT 10:00 PM as stated here. Furthermore, the people were extremely unfriendly.

This restaurant seems friendly, but the staff doesn't speak English. We arrived well before others and received our order later. Unfortunately, the pork knuckle arrived cold, and when I asked the waitress to take care of another order, she brought the bill. It was deplorable. I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't speak German!

We had the chicken salad, pork schnitzel, and currywurst with potato salad. The food was delicious, and the waitress was polite and courteous. Will definitely be back next time we’re near the Museum Island.

Late and burt food and a really rude waitress.

April 24 - late lunch and we were the only ones there. Hostess was friendly and only spoke German but we got by. Food was quick easy and traditional plain fare.

I went to this bar to spend one hour with my friends, we left and will not return due to the rudness!

The blond waitress was so rude! she asked us if we had stepped on some dirt. we looked at our shoes and to our amazement she said then you are the smelly ones. Never in my life have I heard anything so rude. We went away.

You cannot say that the place is a tourist spot.A basement where can eat German cousin and have some beer, close to a very popular places. Why not?

Graziosa birreria tedesca a pochi passi dai musei. Ideale per ristorarsi dopo la vista a così splendidi capolavori. Ottima birra e buoni piatti in ogni momento del pomeriggio. Personale veloce e gentile. Atmosfera tedesca.

Per una birra e un currywurst è ottimo! Bell'atmosfera, cameriere molto gentile, buona la birra. La velocità non è delle migliori (forse per mancanza di personale), ma siamo stati bene.

Great food and friendly service. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries with a delicious currywurst.

For me the kitchen is really worth a special mention, the rump steak was fried to perfection and was worth every cent in terms of quality, it wasn't just a culinary delight. Thanks to the attentive, competent and very friendly staff, we were able to enjoy two great hours there. Very clean and no waiting times. These people know their craft and use their skills for the benefit of their guests. Go in and feel good we will do it again and again.
