Bratwursthäusle bei St. Sebald in Nürnberg

They welcome us for dinner at 7.20pm. Only after ordering do they tell us that the restaurant closes at 8pm. They bring us the dishes at 7.35pm, we can't finish dinner and we are insistently asked to leave. We can't even finish the beers. Incorrect behavior.

You have to be good with servers I came alone and they didn't even give me a menu so I just waited and left. I hope others don't have to go through this unpleasant experience.

Great location in the Shadow of Saint Siebald cathedral in the middle of Nuremberg alt stadt. Great food and service.

Came here for lunch, no reservation. They had a spot at a shared table inside, which we didn’t mind. Service was a little blunt, but quick and efficient. Ordered sauerkraut, sausages and kartoffelsalat and it was amazingly good. Gluten free. Best I’ve had. Nice place to see inside, characteristic and authentic.

The sausages are very delicious although very small. Quite pleasant service. I see the prices as reasonable considering the location. We didn't try anything else because there was nothing that caught our attention.

A very good restaurant with German cuisine. You can eat Nuremberg sausages, pork knuckle or other specialties. Dishes are prepared in the open kitchen. Large selection of local beers. Stylish interior. Very nice and friendly service. The location in the very center of the Old Town and very affordable prices make this place an ideal choice when visiting Nuremberg.

Simply the best sausage I have ever eaten.

It's about beer, sausages and friends. It is a place for tourists and they are not ashamed of it. But they have good beer and we didn't get better elsewhere in 3 days.

Rustic ambience right next to the imposing Sebaldus Church, you can't miss the smell. Inside is the open beechwood grill, which gives the Nuremberg sausages their unique aroma. The slice of country bread was also very tasty. Served in style on a pewter plate. The seating is quite tight inside. There is also an outdoor seating area with a view of the Old Town Hall. Toilets clean. The Bratwursthäusle has existed since 1312 and should be experienced in Nuremberg's old town.

Nice restaurant in the city center of Nuremberg! Everything was taste full. Speciality is knacks and it was wonderfull. Staff really welcoming and help full.

Definitely part of a Nuremberg trip! Bratwursts with sauerkraut and pretzels as well as the beer here taste very good. The well-known “3 im Weckla” are also available to go 👍🏼 The service seemed stressed, it was busy, but we still got a table quickly.

The boss is very unfriendly towards customers and her employees and unfairly reprimands them in front of all customers for things that they can't even do anything about. The employees were very nice and I felt quite sorry for having such a boss. Maybe she should be made aware of how to treat her employees, because what I experienced there doesn't work at all.

What an absolute gem in Nuremberg! The food and atmosphere feels like home and takes you to on a trip in the past. Absolutely delicious good and amazing service. Definitely a must when in Nuremberg!

I had one of the best dinners here in Nuremberg. The liver soup was good and flavoursome and the Nuremberg sausages were delicious. The restaurant also has a very cosy traditional decor. Highly recommend if you are in Nuremberg.

Loud, chaotic, quite stressful, hardly any space, people standing in the way everywhere. But the “Drei im Weggla” takeaway tastes great. The sausages are well grilled, the bun is super fresh and tasty. I think the price of €3.80 per roll with three sausages is just about a fair price. Simply always good when you are in Nuremberg. When it comes to mustard, however, you could pay attention to a little more quality and not resort to one of the cheaper versions in the bucket...

Even under the greatest stress, I have always received friendly service here. The Nuremberg cabbage dishes are the best in the city. Every time I'm here this location is a must have. I feel really comfortable here 😊.

If bratwurst, then Häusle. The institution when it comes to Nuremberg grilled sausages. Feels absolutely unchanged inside and out for decades, extremely cozy and always delicious, my recommendation.

The sausage is so so so delicious!!! The smoky flavor was crazy. I ordered 8 pieces, but it wasn't enough, so I ordered 6 more and ate it up. Totally recommended. Perfect sexy food.

The food was underwhelming and not worth the price. When it came time to pay, the waitress was noticeably unfriendly because we didn’t leave a tip. She even muttered a swear word under her breath. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We have eaten here several times in recent years because the Nuremberger sausages are spectacular, but we have noticed a notable increase in prices when we sit down to eat, hence the reduction to 4 stars in the evaluation. Now we take the Nuremberger in the bread to take away, much cheaper and so we can continue enjoying them!

Typical brewery with a very good atmosphere. We were lucky that when we arrived they gave us a kind of booth inside. Few food options. Mainly sausages with cabbage or potato salad. Various types of beer. Reasonable prices.

Franconian cosiness in its purest form. You will be greeted with a pleasant wood grill smell. A rustic and warm service. The Nuremberg bratwursts tasted fantastic, freshly grilled. Plus a well-seasoned potato salad. The Schäufele was perfectly cooked...crispy crust and tender, juicy meat. The sauce was perfect...a fluffy dumpling...the sauerkraut was also amazing. We will come back soon...

What a great, quaint guesthouse. Even though the hut was full, we still managed to find a place. The service staff was very friendly and considerate. The quality of the food and drinks is excellent. On the one hand we ate Nuremberg bratwursts with potato salad and on the other hand we ate Schäufele with dumplings, sauce and sauerkraut. The sausages come straight from the wood grill and the potato salad is homemade. Extremely delicious. The Schäufele meat was tender as butter and had a great crust. The dumpling was fluffy, the sauce was delicious and the sauerkraut was incredibly good. An absolute recommendation to stop here. We would love to come back.

I found this restaurant while looking for information about Nuremberg. I visited by accident as it was right in the city center, and three people ordered 8 sausages just to taste it. But it was so delicious that I ordered two more and enjoyed it very much. It was disappointing because it was delicious...ㅠㅠ If you come next time, please order one dish per person... Beer is a must!!! And Koreans make sure to order mustard sauce (Horseradish)... Sauerkraut (cured cabbage) comes second... (tastes may vary)

We wanted the cheaper sausages, but they were to go only. Paid more but enjoyed sitting down.

We came here after a long day of walking at 9:00 PM and thought we would have a nice meal. The food was fine, but that makes it the worst food I ate in Frankonia in two weekends. We arrived so quickly that we were promptly handed the bill in our faces by a grumpy waitress. Would we still be allowed to go to the toilet? No, they were suddenly closed and we were allowed to continue. Conclusion: there are much better options

The perhaps oldest and most typical Bratwurstelhausle in Nuremberg to enjoy the famous Nuremberg bratwurstel. The best ones eaten during the stay. It's worth coming at least once, especially inside where they prepare them.

After we ate three in the afternoon at Weckla, which were given to us straight from the fire in our buns, we knew that we wanted to eat here in the evening. Although we initially feared that we would end up in a bad tourist dump (City, right in the pedestrian zone) - we realized that we had found a fantastic restaurant! We immediately started talking to regular guests from Nuremberg and enjoyed incredibly good grilled sausages, cabbage, pork knuckle, pretzels, freshly baked bread,… Thank you for your hospitality and we will definitely be back every time we are in Nuremberg!

Right between the main market and the castle is the "Bratwursthäusle bei St. Sebald", which is one of Nuremberg's traditional restaurants. Because of the location everything is of course very touristy, but not overpriced. And it's nice that there are the famous "Drei im Weckla" on the street. The grilled sausages are seasoned with marjoram and taste wonderfully grilled in a wood-fired oven. If this icon of Franconian gastronomy now serves Munich "Augustiner beer" (which is, however, excellent), that means a certain break in style.

In my opinion, the three (or usually four) in Weggla are the tastiest there. The gentleman at the street shop is friendly and the ladies at the grill are hard-working. A very nice house inside and out :)

Somewhat grumpy, stressed and overwhelmed service when allocating space and also when serving. But this seems to be an organizational problem - this is a purely tourist destination where the masses make the money. Not recommended for the quiet explorer.

The Nuremberg sausages were so delicious! It had a charcoal flavor and was salty, so it was good with beer. I also tried the Haksen, and it was crispy and chewy :) I visited twice to try each, and when I left after eating the sausages, I also took away the sausages on bread they sell. There was no tip when eating at the terrace on Saturday (lunch), but there was a tip when eating at the hall on Sunday. (Dinner) The server in charge guided me kindly the two times I went, so I even gave a tip. I think it would be a good reference for those who are planning to visit!

Unfortunately not like it used to be. It's a shame for such a traditional restaurant. Lukewarm Nuremberg grilled sausages, rock-hard pretzels and more expensive than in other Nuremberg restaurants. What a beautiful place this was - once upon a time.

An unforgettable place in Nürnberg! Not only was the food lecker, but the people were even more special. On the night I visited, my bank card didn’t work and I didn’t have enough cash with me. Despite that, they accepted what I had and treated me with so much kindness and generosity. I will always be grateful for this beautiful gesture — it meant the world to me. I promised myself to return someday and properly thank them. This restaurant will always have a place in my heart. I truly recommend it to all travelers — not just for the delicious food, but for the warmth of the people behind it.

We wanted to have a drink with the terrace completely empty. No...!!!! Just eat... we would have had drinks. But only while standing. Sitting with the drink is prohibited. Thanks for nothing. Such unfriendly female service has no place there. I can highly recommend Bratwurst Röslein as an alternative.

I came here because I heard it was famous and it was delicious. The sausage isn't as big as I thought, just about the size of a finger. Since I came alone, they asked me to share a table with them, but they kept talking to me, so it was a bit difficult for introverts. It smells really delicious, but the sausage is a bit salty and delicious. The potato salad would have been better if it was warm, but it was disappointing because it was cold. Still, I think it was not a bad experience! Even though I came in the evening, there was no wait and the seats were quite spacious.

Delicious food, nice place, the room smells very much of food, we wanted to take a table in the sun and eat and drink beer, but the waitress did not allow us to sit where we wanted, they served us very unfriendly, which really spoiled the impression of the establishment

Service was basically non-existent. The Nuremberg sausages weren't really tasty and mustard was only served upon request. The potato salad was without much taste. If I had been alone, I would have returned the food and wanted my money back. No recommendation from me.

They have hostile and discriminatory attitudes towards foreigners. Rude staff who don't answer questions in English and make faces. The sausages are not great either.

Always the first address on every trip to Nuremberg. Really the best bratwursts, such good cabbage and the ambience is always impressive.

Very tasty food and fast service. A rustic atmosphere and a great selection of drinks and food. The Schäuferla is highly recommended! The crust was crispy even in the evening, and the meat was very tender. I deduct points for the time pressure during the meal. As a group, we had the table available for 2 hours. This is more like mass processing to generate sales, which is understandable, but it still detracts from the experience...

However, they’re just bratwurst, and I feel like it’s better to just get them from the street vendors and butchers. There’s other much better Frankische food to be had in restaurants.

We were there recently. The food is nothing special. The service is not the friendliest. It was my first time there and I don't need to go there again. Another thing I miss everywhere is tablecloths and decorations on the tables. Tablecloths have not been available since Corona times, but prices have risen.

The food was delicious, the waiter is very polite and helpful, but sometimes have to wait for her/him. Not too expensive. The atmosphere is very well.
