Nuremberger sausage is delicious. It's about the size of a normal Japanese Wiener sausage, so you don't have to worry about it. It's delicious, so if you get about 10 of them, you'll die instantly.

Anyone visiting Nuremberg should definitely try the fresh Nuremberg grilled sausages here. Tastes great! Friendly service, great location, absolutely recommended!!

You can also choose how many percent of the tip you want to pay with your card. 😂 new experience, sometimes I give a tip in cash immediately after paying for my meal.

Of course you sit in the middle Town square with a great view, but also very touristy. The classic bratwursts were super good.

Visited on a weekday after 8pm which wasn't too busy. Had the classic beer, pretzel (looks simple but tasted great) and thr 8 grilled sausages with potato salad. The taste was great and they had fresh mustard in a jar to go with it. Definite must try when in Nuremberg.

There is no need to visit. There are many better stores on the way from the handicraft market. There is no waiting when you visit at 4:30 PM. There were more people elsewhere. They say life is a sausage, but don't risk your life. It's a waste to walk for an hour. Sausages are delicious. I really don't know I think it is very exaggeratedly known among tourists. There were more people elsewhere. From the moment you take your order, there is no mention of side menu items. Service is the foundation of any good restaurant. The service was the worst compared to the places I've been to so far.

On August 28th, 2024, four of us went to the outdoor area to try out the bratwurst and ordered a 12 and 4 drinks. No, it doesn't work like that, everyone has to eat something, the tables are needed straight away, as the waitress explained to us, even though it's 2:45 p.m. and only half full. The taste of bratwurst and potatoes was much spicier years ago. We ate 3 meals at the Weckla snack bar at the White Tower on the same day and they were just great.

I have known this restaurant for over 30 years and love the cuisine, atmosphere and friendly service. Franconian warmth and one of the best sausages in Germany, what more could you want? Because the dishes are uncomplicated, they are quick and deliciously fresh. The large grill in the middle is an eye-catcher and fascinated me even as a child. Anyone who comes to Nuremberg has to go here!

An excellent place to taste the famous Nuremberg sausage. This specialty is protected by an appellation and each restaurant has its own product suppliers so the taste may be different depending on the establishment. And here, they are excellent. The service is efficient and friendly. The setting is typical.

Absolute must if you are in Nuremberg. Simply rustic and very tasty. You may have to wait a few minutes before getting a table. You should definitely do it anyway. Best Nuremberg grilled sausages from the charcoal grill.

It's a bad tourist spot, but of course there's a reason for that: for decades, Nuremberg's best grilled sausages have been served here with the best vines and the best potato salad, and the Knöchle is the best you can get anywhere. And all of this with extremely stress-resistant staff in a unique atmosphere. It's simply a must when visiting Nuremberg. Oh yes: 'flame grilled' wasn't invented by Burger King. It's always been done that way here.

I ate in this restaurant four times over the span of 10 years, each time the food was delicious! It's not too pricy, easy to find a table, and the plating is nice (pewter plates and little copper cauldrons). Definitely recommended if you want to eat some traditional food! (And the waitress was very nice!)

Quite a decent sausage shop with traditional baked sausage as the main course. With an equally traditional potato salad, a pretzel and a mug of local beer, you feel the local atmosphere. But after all, we are in Bavaria, so where else can you feel it but here.

At first the waitress was misleading about the availability of a drink. When we politely asked the waitress, she became loud and unfriendly, so we immediately lost our appetite. When we left, the mood had calmed down again, but such an outburst shouldn't happen in the catering industry.

Amazing experience in this beautiful restaurant. The best restaurant I've had since I began my long trip in Germany. Really diverse and typical dishes, amazing staff. We had regular and smoked sausage, beef heart, beef tongue, sauerkraut, local cheese, beer and a beautiful dessert. I highly recommend this place. Great job !

Told a friend I wasn’t hungry but insisted I try. God damn I glad I did. Sausage was very flavorful with a hint of wood that permeates into your senses. And eating this within a medieval town just transports you away from where ever you don’t want to be.

The three of us went there for dinner at 1:45 p.m. today. After a short wait, we were assigned a table outside. Nice beer garden atmosphere under the trees. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks came quickly and tasted excellent. The potato salad is homemade. Okay, of course there's a bit of tourist processing involved, but that's bearable.

Traveling from Munich just to enjoy the menu of this restaurant says it all, the best Bratwürste in Germany! Despite being in a tourist location, the kitchen strives to make the best experience, thank you!

Highly recommended. The homemade Nurembergers are grilled at high heat, which gives the sausage a particularly good flavor.

We were registered as a group (40 people). Reservation went well. We sat outside under umbrellas and had plenty of space. Although we ordered a la carte, everyone's food came relatively at the same time. Quality of the food was very good. I can recommend the restaurant.

The Schnitzel is disappointing, if it is the first time you try it, you will like it and you will say that they are good, but I have tried some before and try this one and one from Aldi. I don't know how they are different, the typical knuckle and sausages, let's say passable, on the other hand. The dessert was pretty good. The price €85 is normal in these places. The best thing is the location is very central and the atmosphere. The service is very very slow and as always the kindness and politeness that they don't even know what it is...

Nice place to eat in the center of Neuremberg

We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but that wasn't a problem. Food is tasty, portion is normal. The service is nice, but they are very overloaded, so ordering and paying sometimes takes longer. E.g. 15-20 minutes waiting for the bill...Sometimes it looks like there is total chaos. It's still acceptable, but for me it was already at the limit.

Short and sweet. Food, well, too little, too expensive. The taste isn't bad, they're just sausages. For a portion of sausages almost €19 I think it's excessive. Condition was good and quick. Ambience inside 4/5. Tourists local. You can choose to tip 8, 10 or 15%. You can't just call. So two portions of sausages, 4 simple drinks plus a tip, all together over €60. For the sausage 😢. One more time - no thanks.

The waiter with us was so attentive and friendly that it was so much fun to watch him work. Good food and nice place. The only drawback is that there are few vegetarian alternatives (I know it's a sausage and meat shop) I had the bread with the cheese and sauerkraut and was happy with it, it was very tasty.

After half the day touring around Nuremberg, my family and I decided to join the mass of people enjoying beer and food at this local restaurant. Because we were a party of seven I doubted they would have space. Luckily they had one large table left. However we were not told that we would have to rush to eat due to a reservation later that hour. All we wanted was to relax, reflect on our day and enjoy the local food and beer. The beer was exceptional! Very fresh and delicious. The food was ok. The famous sausages for us were so so. The pork shoulder is what we all enjoyed best. The service was horrible! Our waiter came for our drink order and then asked if we were ordering any food. At the time we were thinking about it. He was not happy with that response. I noticed that with his other tables he was more pleasant and did not ask about food. Most tables in fact were there for the beers only. When we did decided to order food he pushed us to order more by saying, “Only one!” With a smirk on his face. Then after my husband ordered a second beer he was told he’d only have 15min because a reservation was coming. Needless to say, we can only give this place a one star, and NEVER return here again. PS we live here in Germany we are not tourist to the country. Only visitors to this city. We were very disappointed.

Unfortunately we can only say negative things about the restaurant. Since the owner changed things have only gone downhill. Food lukewarm and friendliness zero, both from the staff and from the boss himself. It's a shame...it used to be a great address with great food. Unfortunately no longer recommended! :/

Just wanted to drink two beers quickly. After being seated, we were informed by knocking on the table that we had 20 minutes. 10 minutes after the beer came, people were already actively approaching us to cash in. Very relaxed atmosphere.

An excellent place to try the typical Nuremberg sausage and cabbage. The prices are particularly affordable and they have a wide variety of drinks and more meals. The service is incredible, the waiters are very good and explain things to you with great patience. They speak German and English.

We were guided by a review that said it was one of the few places that makes sausages in the traditional style. What a find!!!. We arrived at the height of rush hour, but they gave us a table quickly in approximately 5 minutes. We ordered a plate of 12 grilled sausages, 1 Nürnberger Stadtwurst, Potato salad, 2 Pretzel and Apple Strudel. Everything fantastic. If you go during rush hour and you are only two people, it is likely that you will be seated with other couples at the same table, it didn't matter to us, it was a very good experience. Thank you very much, we will return for sure.

Food was ok, but one of the waiters was super rude and racist. The worst dining experience I have ever had. We wanted to try the bratwurst so we didn’t order much food, then the waiter started to mumble and complain we didn’t order enough. We also ordered one beer and one non-alcoholic beer, he just put it on our table without saying which was which. Lastly, our pretzel never came as he never came and asked if everything was ok.

One of the best places in Nuremberg, exquisite food and friendly staff

Located next to the market square and at the foot of the king's castle. The venue has seating both inside and outside. We arrive and find a bit of a queue but within five minutes we are seated at the outdoor tables. The space between one table and another is not much but the table is still very spacious. The menu is made up of typical Bavarian dishes and shortly after we can already order. I took a boiled pork shank with the skin which I thought would be too fatty but instead it was pleasant, even the meat was soft, the accompaniment was sauerkraut and mustard present at the table and all washed down with a good liter of beer. During dinner we asked for additional bread but unfortunately due to the constant coming and going of people it was skipped but never mind and our waitress apologized several times and obviously didn't include it in the bill. A good place for a quick meal in the tourist area.

Good food, the oldest food in the wider area

This is the greatest Bratwurst restaurant anywhere. This is my first stop every time I come to Nuremberg. The sausage is perfectly grilled over a real birch wood fire. I have eaten here at least 15 times. It is perfect every time! I love it. And the view from the porch of the central market is cool. The Nuremberg Bratwurst is a smaller link, but they serve them 6,8, or 10 at a time. And they are not brkfst ssge like some Americans think. They are for dinner or lunch and taste wonderful and rich. They don't taste like American bkfst ssge. There are other German favorites on the menu, too. And the potato salad is a good German variety. The sauerkraut is great, if you like that. The Apple strudel is just right. And the beer is great local German beer. And when you're done, you can walk the market or up the hill to the castle. The perfect German meal is right here! Do yourself a favor, if you're in Nuremberg, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Positives first: The bread is good. But then: The bratwursts aren't fried well, the potato salad is soggy and not dressed, and there's too much sugar in the sauerkraut. All in all, you can't recommend it

Servers are raicists. Three servers were having a chat when I got in and when they found me standing in front of them, I said hi and none of them answered. I asked if I could have a table. After few seconds of scilence and staring one of them awkwardly gestured that I can have a seat anywhere still saying nothing. Then, an asian server came out and asked me if I’m alone and showed me where I can sit. The three servers,I saw the different manner to European guys. The worst experience ever. I still remember one of the server’s look on me. VERY OFFENSIVE!
