We were guests at Tisane quite spontaneously some time ago and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The restaurant concept automatically promotes exchange between hosts and guests, and the manageable number makes it feel almost family-like and intimate. We already knew and appreciated René Stein's cuisine from his previous place of work, the Schwarzer Adler in Kraftshof, but even in the not-so-new location he develops his potential to our complete satisfaction.
The welcome and service were charming and courteous, the food was beyond reproach - creative and with many balanced flavors and some very unknown ingredients - at the time of our visit there was a lot from Malaysia that was served. One course with egg yolk in particular remains in my memory as being excellent and having wonderful umami notes.
Since my husband is an anti-alcoholic, I also find it very commendable that Tisane offers an alcohol-free accompaniment that is in no way inferior to the wine accompaniment (you just have to let us know when making the reservation, fair enough).
A small detail bothered me about the concept of the restaurant and the furniture: the admittedly very comfortable chairs are quite stubborn when you want to move them, i.e. after going to the toilet I found it a bit difficult to find a position again which I could easily reach the table and stow the legs. Unfortunately, this also probably means that guests with mobility impairments will not be able to easily visit the restaurant if they are unable to sit on the high bar stools/chairs. However, since the homepage states that you should contact us regarding accessibility, there may be options here that I don't have in mind, but it would be desirable in any case.
All in all, we had a very nice evening, recommend Tisane with a clear conscience and would be happy to come back.
I can only agree with the previous reviewers!
The food is truly excellent.
From the gyros, to the very crunchy and tasty pita bread and tzatziki to the calamari, everything tasted absolutely excellent.
The very friendly owner told us that she cooks everything herself and is freshly made - and you can taste it!
Unfortunately, the restaurant still suffers from the stigma of being a “former Pilsner bar”, which scares off many potential guests (unfortunately this was also the case with us).
However, I can assure you that a visit here is absolutely worth it and is a great place to stop off.
We will definitely come back and bring friends with us!
Köfte ekmek 10 out of 10 points.
Simply perfect.
Nothing more is needed.
I wouldn't change a thing about it.
Now we will also test and evaluate the other offers.
Absolutely recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I ate there yesterday and it was so INCREDIBLY GOOD 🤤
There were huge portions for a really fair price and prepared by a super friendly cook.
I ate my entire vegan snack plate and the fact that I managed this portion was nothing short of a miracle, but it was just sooo good I couldn't stop 🤣....these dips/spreads alone.... 🤤
Kudos to you kitchen!
There was generally a large selection of various vegan, vegetarian and meaty dishes. Everyone will find something for themselves.
