Super delicious food. Here the boss serves himself.

We had pre-ordered Veal Schäuferle for home. These were excellent and far exceeded my expectations. The meat was buttery tender and separated from the bone without any problems! If you love Schäuferle, then I would recommend this type to everyone! 👍

Wow what a cozy and quaint place to have a wonderful meal! We are so very fortunate to have found this Fantastic restaurant to dine in. We had the chef’s special of the pork shoulder and a wienerschnitzel qnd could not have had a better meal other than two chef special pork shoulders😃 Do yourself a Big ol' favor and find this wonderful little gem👍👍🏾👍🏿

Very friendly staff and great Franconian food.

We had goose and were totally satisfied. The starter was a poem and the dessert rounded off the menu perfectly.

Although the restaurant is a little small, it is full of local customers and has a good atmosphere. The cheese and sausage knob set goes well with beer. The meaty, bone-in grilled pork is tender and delicious, and the portion is quite large, so it's good to share among several people.

We have just come from the Albrecht Dürer Stube and have taken our super seniors out. It was a stay that deserves a top-class rating from the reservation phone call to the farewell. This evening we experienced hosts whose noble goal was to pamper us and they succeeded in every respect! An understanding team where you immediately felt welcome. Being on the road with people over 80 means everything goes a little slower, but that wasn't a problem at all. An attentive service team, top-class Franconian food and being looked after was really nice to experience. We were asked if it tasted good, we were offered side dishes and/or sauce and we were in no way pressured to hurry up. Desert and coffee were offered; if we could have eaten something else, we would have happily had the desserts again. A very nice evening in a Franconian dollhouse below the imperial castle, surrounded by hosts who deserved the name and made us feel very welcome here. Gladly again at any time!

Decent German food and beers. Ordered a roast pork and the skin was super crispy, meat was tender and well seasoned, and dark beer sauce was delicious. Bratwursts in the soup style were also yummy - expectations were low based on the presentation but don’t let that fool you!

Very crispy and tender Original Schäufele.

The perfect inn to discover the tradition of Franconian cuisine. The service is friendly and they always try to find a table for the guest even without a reservation. The Schäufele is excellent, but the best things here are the Nuremberg sausages (perhaps the best in the city) and the sausage platter with potato salad or sauerkraut. The house beer is delicious.

Common food, you could eat it, but for 17 euros I also expect a schnitzel with 🍟 and not limp potato sticks with a piece of meat that has been fried for too long. The service was probably a little annoyed, probably because it was New Year's Eve. There will be a second visit, everyone deserves to grow from criticism.

Waited two hours for food!! It's a lot of fun with hungry children... Even that pays an odyssey.
