Above all, they know what's important here: making sure the Kniedla (dumpling, dumpling, potato dumpling) is cooked to perfection. Whether you're eating a regular one or the massive 630-gram Kniedla. DELICIOUS. The service is super friendly and attentive. And not only do the roasts, like Schäufele, Sauerbraten, and the like, taste fantastic, but the pan-fried dishes like schnitzel are also an absolute dream. Franconians say "bassd scho," because "ned gschimbft is gnug globt" :P Well, bassd scho—the highest praise in Franconia. It's super delicious. We'd love to go back! It's also great that they have a gluten-free and vegan menu! So there's something for everyone. PS: It's best to make a reservation :)

Cozy, small shop with very attentive service and a very friendly boss. Food was great. Had the bratwurst and cheese spaetzle. Beer tastes good too :)

There were 6 of us and everyone was satisfied, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

We really enjoyed the beer garden in the backyard.

It was our first time here and we were very satisfied 👍🏼 the very quick and friendly service confirmed our spontaneous decision right from the start (as we all know, there is less gastro selection available on Mondays). The menu is Franconian-down-to-earth and the seasonal daily menu (asparagus) was also appealing. We were very happy with our choice of food (12 “sours” and veal roll roast with dumplings & sauerkraut) and the cloudy beer was also very tasty. The location is modern & home-style and stands out pleasantly from the usual old town bratwurst kitchens 👌 The kitchen is open and allows a view. It's also nice to see what's happening behind the counter. We can recommend it and will definitely come back 🥳

A very special restaurant...goose with mega toilets and delicious goose...thanks for the short-term reservation...it was cozy

The staffing levels are apparently very low, so the service is often overwhelmed. The wait for food is far too long at 30 to 45 minutes. The first guests had already finished and then the last meal arrived – very bad. Of the six meals we ordered, two were very good, one was good, two were satisfactory, and one was rather poor. We expected better; this was probably our first and last visit.
