Gutbürgerliche Küche mit sehr netten Service. Wir wurden freundlich und schnell bedient. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Schnitzel waren zart in Rekordgröße. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und sauber.

Ich kann die super tollen Rezensionen nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Das Blaukraut zum Sauerbraten war zerkocht, zuerst kalt und wässrig, dann warm und wässrig. 08/15 Kroketten. Fleisch (Sauerbraten und Schweinelendchen) waren ok. Danach hatten wir aber immer noch Hunger. Also so üppig wie oft beschrieben, waren die Portionen auch nicht.

Hübsches Restaurant mit ner tollen Karte. Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung und schmecken tut es auch. Highlight: Der kleine Biergarten! Im Sommer optimal. Ruhig und angenehm. Alle Nett dort.

Alles in Ordnung und ein wunderbares Essen

Es war recht ruhig, als wir dort waren, aber Essen, Bier und Service waren gut. Wir haben dieses Restaurant unter anderem deshalb gewählt, weil es in der Nähe der EcoApartments lag, in denen wir wohnten.

Ein fantastisches, authentisches deutsches Restaurant! Wir bestellten die Schweineschulter mit Knödeln und es war einfach phänomenal. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und einladend, und unsere Bedienung war großartig. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die ein nicht überfülltes und preiswertes Restaurant suchen!

Uriger Laden, sehr leckeres Essen und ein toller Service. Natürlich sollte man sich im Klaren sein, was für ein Restaurant man aufsucht. Man bekommt exakt das, was angekündigt wird. Wäre ich nicht nur auf der Durchreise gewesen, ich käme sehr gerne wieder.

Heute war ich im Schützenhof essen und ich kann nur sagen: Es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Ich hatte ein fränkisches Schweineschäuferla – und das war wirklich hervorragend. Das Fleisch war zart, geschmacklich top abgestimmt und insgesamt einfach richtig lecker. Man hat sofort gemerkt, dass hier mit Qualität und Können gearbeitet wird. Die Preis-Leistung ist meiner Meinung nach mega gut. Für das, was man bekommt, ist der Preis mehr als fair. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Zwar musste man ein bisschen auf das Essen warten, aber bei dem Andrang vor Ort ist das absolut verständlich – und vor allem: Das Warten hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Die Wartezeit war auch nicht übermäßig lang. Ein echtes Highlight war für mich, dass der Chefkoch persönlich an unseren Tisch gekommen ist, um zu fragen, ob es uns geschmeckt hat. Das fand ich richtig cool. Wir hatten eine nette Unterhaltung, und er hat sich Zeit genommen, all unsere Fragen und Wünsche zu beantworten – das erlebt man nicht oft. Insgesamt eine richtig positive Erfahrung. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und kann den Schützenhof nur weiterempfehlen. Liebe Grüße aus dem Allgäu ;)

Super Schäufele Authentisches Ambiente, d.h. wer Schickimicki sucht, ist nicht ganz richtig. Der wird ist sehr nett und die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit tollem Service, das traditionelle Essen ist ausgezeichnet und wird ansprechend serviert.

Abseits der üblichen Touristenpfade serviert der Schützenhof wunderbare, herzhafte fränkische Küche in charmantem und gemütlichem Ambiente mit einem sympathischen Gastgeber. Probieren Sie das Schweinefleisch mit cremiger Pilzsoße und Kroketten oder die Rinderroulade mit Knödeln und Rotkohl – natürlich dazu ein gutes deutsches Bier oder einen Wein. Meine Kollegen und ich kommen jedes Jahr nach Nürnberg und essen hier immer mindestens zweimal. Es lohnt sich, dafür die ausgetretenen Pfade zu verlassen.

Köstliches fränkisches Essen, ein herrlich gemütliches und romantisches Ambiente, perfekter Kundenservice... Ein großartiger Ort für Bier und Essen.

Pfeffer-Karpfen mit 21 € und Cordon Bleu waren beides mega lecker. Ging alles flott. Auch der Service.

Having found all the downtown restaurants full, we expanded our search a bit and this is what we found. The portions are truly generous. The service was very friendly; I called a few minutes in advance and they reserved a table for us! Instead of eating in the city center, I recommend stopping at this restaurant, which is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Tip: The faucet in the men's room leaks a bit even when turned on firmly.

Nachdem alle Restaurants in der Innenstadt belegt waren, weiteten wir unsere Suche etwas aus und wurden hier fündig. Die Portionen sind wirklich großzügig. Der Service war sehr freundlich; ich rief ein paar Minuten vorher an und sie reservierten uns einen Tisch! Anstatt im Stadtzentrum zu essen, empfehle ich dieses Restaurant, das ruhig und abseits des Trubels liegt. Tipp: Der Wasserhahn in der Herrentoilette tropft ein wenig, selbst wenn er fest aufgedreht ist.

Die Schäufele waren unglaublich lecker. Wir wollten nur ein Bier trinken, haben uns dann doch umentschieden und es war die absolut richtige Entscheidung.

Sehr Gute bürgerliche fränkische Küche, sehr schmackhafte Pfannkuchen Suppe, klasse Schäufele mit perfekter Schwarte, leckeres Karpfenfilet,sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende, schnelle Bedienung, wir kommen gerne wieder.

We went to the Schützenhof today for our end-of-year dinner, and everything was perfect. All the dishes were delicious. The veal schnitzel, for example, was incredibly tender, and the fried potatoes were absolutely fantastic. And the prices are really reasonable for Nuremberg's city center. The waitress, even though she was working alone, was consistently friendly and always had a witty remark ready. The drinks and food arrived quickly and at the same time for everyone at the table. Truly wonderful!

Simply delicious, friendly, and with such a charmingly rustic atmosphere. Everyone will find something on the menu – just good, tasty Franconian home cooking in the perfect setting. The staff (I think the owner serves there personally) are more than friendly. The Schützenhof restaurant is definitely worth a visit (more than one, really).

A lovely restaurant just steps from our hotel (Best Western). Very generous portions, extremely good. The person who served us was excellent. She was the only one to manage the dining room. I recommend it for those who enjoy traditional German cuisine.

Small restaurant with great home-cooked food

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The beer garden is beautiful and quiet. The interior is a bit rustic, but not necessarily in a negative way. We also enjoyed the food, which was served quickly. Good, home-style cooking. I actually didn't like the fried potatoes all that much—they were a bit too greasy for my liking. But that's a matter of taste, I guess.

Quite a “local” looking place but a very friendly welcome and solid traditional Bavarian food - pike perch and carp with lots of potatoes. The owner is very friendly and we had a great chat in more than one language. Very much worth a visit

Service was good. We had Schaufele (sword-shaped dumplings), roast pork, and schnitzel. Everything tasted great. The schnitzel, in particular, had a nice coating. I personally had the Schaufele (sword-shaped dumplings). It was good. They also serve relatively large dumplings. I personally would have liked more flavor in the sauce. In any case, the food is good. I would happily recommend it.

We were a large group of eight people and received prompt and friendly service. The pepper carp was delicious. The other Franconian dishes, such as the roast pork, the loin, and the cheese spaetzle, were equally appealing. It was a wonderful evening in an authentic Franconian restaurant with local drinks. The value for money is very good.

The order was taken in a confusing way and billed at exorbitant rates. Afterwards, they were unwilling to compromise and their verbal behavior was at the level of the store's surroundings. A pure rip-off. Really a shame, no go.

A small, hidden gem in Nuremberg, with excellent food and hospitality, not to mention a lovely, intimate beer garden!

We had very little time as we had to catch the train. The food in the lovely restaurant garden arrived very quickly and was really good – fresh mushrooms and a delicious cordon bleu. So for anyone looking for something decent at the train station – head to the Schützenhof.

We went there today after searching on Maps. The place isn't in the tourist zone, but a bit out of the way, but easily accessible on foot from the main train station. The owners are super friendly, and the atmosphere in the beer garden is very cozy. The food was very good; my wife just wanted a plate of fries and salad, which was no problem. I had a Cordon Bleu with fries and salad, which was very, very tasty. The beer, I think Gossler, is dangerously delicious.

Three of us (colleagues) visited the Schützenhof restaurant and received a very friendly welcome. The outdoor area is cozy and inviting. The portions are generous, the food delicious, and the menu offers a good selection – not overwhelming, but with something for everyone. A particularly positive aspect: the regional beers, which go perfectly with the food. I had a schnitzel with fries, and the mayo was included. The dish was very tasty and arrived quickly. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – a definite recommendation!

We ordered carp on Christmas Eve for 6:30 p.m. Were there before the specified time. We immediately received the bags with the carp, which were already cold.!!! We specifically chose a restaurant that had a short journey time (2 minutes) so that we could get a cold Christmas dinner. Very unfortunate. In terms of taste, it would have been very tasty.

I ordered pork loin in mushroom cream sauce with croquettes and was actually a little surprised at how good the dish was. Sauce was absolutely delicious, the pork loin was totally tender, the croquettes were nice and crispy, so all in all more than satisfied. The only drawback was the side salad, as there was a sweet dressing on it, which is not my taste, but for those who like it, the salad is also top class. The staff is very friendly, and the landlord likes to come and have a chat with his guests. I can definitely recommend it!
