Above all, they know what's important here: making sure the Kniedla (dumpling, dumpling, potato dumpling) is cooked to perfection. Whether you're eating a regular one or the massive 630-gram Kniedla. DELICIOUS. The service is super friendly and attentive. And not only do the roasts, like Schäufele, Sauerbraten, and the like, taste fantastic, but the pan-fried dishes like schnitzel are also an absolute dream. Franconians say "bassd scho," because "ned gschimbft is gnug globt" :P Well, bassd scho—the highest praise in Franconia. It's super delicious. We'd love to go back! Cute little economy. Cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. The food was really great. The big dumpling only if you are really very hungry. Serve really softly and the schnitzel is in my top 3 ever. Absolutely recommended. It's a shame you're so far away. Price-performance is also very good.

A gluten-free dream! Nearly everything was available gluten free with vegetarian and vegan options as well. The staff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and the portion sizes were incredible. You get traditional German Franconian foods that taste fantastic. 100% plan to visit again and would recommend!

Friendly staff. Food was delicious. Ordered Cordon Bleu and Schäufele. With my Cordon Bleu I was just a little surprised about the additional cost of the dip (mayo). I've never seen it like that before and it was a bit of a shame because I have a little more mayo with my cordon bleu with fries and I had to save on the mayo because I couldn't really see why. There was also a customer who asked for a seat and left unpleasantly because he didn't get one (everything was reserved). But we were there to eat for about 1.5 hours and the reserved seats were still not occupied by then (certainly 3 tables). I hope that when I show up so spontaneously that I don't get dumped :D

The staff is super friendly and accommodating! Our food was delicious, we had the gluten-free roast beef with dumpling three times. The big toilet looks great. I think it's great that there is so much gluten-free choice and that the menu is in Franconian. Unfortunately, the gluten-free Kaiserschmarren wasn't that tasty, it was rather firm and cold in some places. All in all we found it delicious.

I was at Kniedlas Hueddn two days ago with a group of ten people. The service was friendly, the atmosphere pleasant. However, I didn't think the price-performance ratio was right: The taste was perfect. I ordered a mixed roast with a 630g dumpling for €17.90. I was served two small dumplings, while everyone else at the table got the large dumpling, which would have been a joke. And I ordered a side salad for an extra €5.80. For that price, I expected a colorful mixed salad. In fact, it consisted of some coleslaw, a slice of tomato, some cucumber, and canned beans. The two slices of meat (beef and pork) were very thin and meager. All in all, too expensive for what they offer!

The meat schnitzel tasted like it had been stored in the fridge for at least 2 days after it was fried. Also completely bland in terms of taste. The sauce didn't change that. Instead of not charging for the schnitzel that was only tried and complained about, they aggressively and loudly emphasized that it was freshly prepared and also claimed that the dish was half eaten. With all my love, I wouldn't have been able to get it down that far given the poor quality! We were further led to believe that the fresh preparation could only be determined by the fact that the schnitzel, which was initially served with the wrong sauce, was then re-prepared. The fact that it took less than 5 minutes to serve it with the right sauce speaks against this. There was a complete attempt to play us for fools.

What this team is doing here is great. From conventional to vegan and a lot of them are also gluten-free. Other restaurateurs can follow this example. Everything is homemade and tastes absolutely great. You can eat here with a larger group without hesitation. Everyone will definitely find something here. Anyone who complains has to do better first.

It was great! Yesterday we were there for dinner with a large group of dogs and it was really great. Everyone enjoyed the food. I tried the vegetarian Cordon Bleu for the first time (top!) and our dog really liked it too. She was happy about the snacks and water (thank you:)). The service was also great. Hier gibt es original deutsche fränkische Küche vom feinsten. Auch vegetarisch und vegan. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Mit der Straßenbahn kann man direkt bis vor das Lokal fahren. In der Umgebung gibt es aber auch Parkplätze. Wir werden öfter mal hier essen gehen.

The four of us had lunch at Kniedlas Hüddn on Sunday and ate roast pork and Schäuferla, which tasted excellent. So good that, despite the distance, we want to eat there again soon. The tender, subtly shortened meat of the Franconian Schäuferla fell easily from the bone and the roast pork was so delicious that my wife took some home with her to enjoy the taste experience again! The friendly staff rounded off our stay in a very positive way, and I would like to give special mention to the young lady who served us! So you have to honestly say by far the most unprofessional restaurant I've been to in recent years. We had made reservations for dinner for 11 people and called twice beforehand. When we arrived they said we were mistaken and had never called here. We were then rudely informed that we were definitely not allowed to eat here today. The organization there, as well as the 2 very unfriendly owners, are terrible. Absolute recommendation to stay away from here!

We were here on Sunday for carp food. The food was good but not a big side dish, but the price was very ambitious.

Unfortunately the food is completely standard. We ordered Schäuferle and Schnitzel. The portions filled us up, but unfortunately the taste didn't convince us, the meat from the Schäuferle wasn't tender enough and was generally not convincing. The schnitzel was significantly better, but not really the best. In my opinion, the schnitzel wasn't that big and could have been a little bigger. Unfortunately the fries couldn't make it any better. What bothered me most, however, was the waiting time. We waited 45 minutes for the food even though the place wasn't really full. My guests were extremely enthusiastic about the good food and went home full, my son was able to eat it with the 630 gr. Kniedl and large Schäufele were really nice, I really believe it, but that's how he said afterwards, I'm exhausted, I can definitely recommend the place. For dinner, my wife had carp with potato salt, my wife had sauerbraten with dumpling, everything tasted great and I had the Ingreisch with the carp (is the milk from carp) of course I, as a Franconian and a carp eater, offered it. When people write in the recession that the potato salad was too oily or too spicy with vinegar then I have to say then they weren't telling the truth I rate what I see and What I can say is taste, everything was perfect again, as always, I intentionally held my birthday party in the house. Getting a separate gluten free menu is always great. Seeing that there are pretty much the same dishes as on the other menu made it even better as it made us feel really valued and taken seriously. Very friendly and attentive staff. The decor is nice, but it lacks a few elements that dampen the sound. When there are more guests it gets unpleasantly loud. My companion was enthusiastic about the Schäuferla and Sauerbraten. The breaded schnitzel/cordon bleu have a breading that takes some getting used to. Fries very good, the potato salad still has room for improvement. But overall, a worthwhile recommendation.

More mass than class. Were there for the first time today and was also the last time. Meat is tough, sauce inedible. The vegetarian dish was just spicy and probably a ready-made mess. That's probably why it was finished after 5 minutes. All this at juicy prices! Apart from standard sayings, there was no comment from the waiter. If you read how the restaurant deals with criticism, I don't expect any improvement.

We are used to good vegan food in Berlin, this restaurant can keep up! It's just great that every dish is vegetarian/vegan - and homemade too. Plus super nice, relaxed service, delicious beer and fair prices. We give it a 100% recommendation!

I cannot recommend the Kniedlas Hüeddn restaurant. The minuses: - The taste is mediocre, I've eaten much better. - Price-performance ratio not good: Normal portion of sauerbraten EUR 16.90, without a side salad (costs extra). That's expensive for a restaurant in a working-class area. Roast beef and sauerbraten seem to be the same meat, just with different sauces. Desserts are also expensive: apple cake or apple strudel with vanilla sauce € 11.90. - Children's portions are tiny. - Menu written in Franconian. But on Sunday there are actually only different roasts with dumplings. No other Franconian dishes (no bratwursts). Even if the dishes are formulated in Franconian style (Hüddnsalat is just a tuna salad, what's supposed to be Franconian about that?). - Beer garden small and right on the street - The waitress calls you by the same name, even though you don't even know each other - No parking space Pros: - Interior beautifully renovated and large - Vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free menu (I didn't try it though)

Food very good, waited 20 minutes for a drink because the service staff at the other tables, even when idle, cannot bring drinks to other tables or clear away the other tables. Best vegan food! I've been eating my way through vegan cuisine for years and to finally have such great vegan home cooking is really a gift for all vegans and vegetarians. Sooo delicious. A good place serving proper regional dishes. I liked it seemed like an old style German restaurant, the sort that seem to be disappearing. Also liked there were Vegan options, we had the two that were asparagus specials, our server said most of the other dishes were vegan too but did not see that marked as such on the menu ( please could they do this?) Went to the restaurant today with a larger group of people, but we were the only ones there. The food took quite a long time (over 1 hour) to reach the table. Unfortunately, when I asked how long it would take for dessert to arrive, the waiter couldn't give me an answer other than: "Only the kitchen knows that." Unfortunately, many things, such as Diet Coke, vanilla ice cream and the vegan version of the apple fritters that were on the menu, were out of stock, but we only found out when we asked after all of these things had been ordered without any problems. The sauerbraten was tasty and tender, but unfortunately there was nothing sour about it. The sauces for the main courses didn't seem homemade to us and the apple strudel looked suspiciously like the frozen apple strudel from the discount store. At the end, our group was reprimanded by the waiter because one too many desserts had been ordered, even though several people had agreed to eat it anyway. The price is rather high, but unfortunately not in our opinion in terms of ambience. A pity. We probably won't come back. ————— Addendum after the restaurant's extremely friendly response: The first guests who arrived before our reservation time were 3 people who only ordered a drink. The service staff would have been happy to say that this was too much effort for them, then our colleagues would also have been happy to wait in front of the restaurant. Yesterday we went there for lunch with the family. A very original Franconian restaurant. To study the menu you should be fluent in the Franconian language. The service was exceptionally good. The food, Franconian, was very good. Only to recommend. The portions are very large. We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends.
