Today I was in the absolutely authentic restaurant for the first time with my lady. In short: it was great! The service was great and absolutely personable, for this reason alone we would come back in a heartbeat. However, the food took the whole experience to a whole other level. I've rarely eaten so well, crazy! Greetings from Bochum

Unfortunately the food is completely standard. We ordered Schäuferle and Schnitzel. The portions filled us up, but unfortunately the taste didn't convince us, the meat from the Schäuferle wasn't tender enough and was generally not convincing. The schnitzel was significantly better, but not really the best. In my opinion, the schnitzel wasn't that big and could have been a little bigger. Unfortunately the fries couldn't make it any better. What bothered me most, however, was the waiting time. We waited 45 minutes for the food even though the place wasn't really full. Standard solid food, but for this price you can definitely get better Franconian food.

Did you also charge your Billy Billmeier 5 euros for carp innards and 5 euros for a spoonful of sauce? I was thrilled, the food is good, but everything else is more of an illusion. The service staff is extremely top... I feel sorry for them, they have to tell the guests that they have to give them a spoonful of sauce, even though they have what they ordered The dish leaves out the fries. But the fact that they also charge an additional 5 euros for the carp Ingraish was the final straw for us. I know, now the answer comes from the boss, as in all recessions that don't fit, but are probably honest... you don't have to come anymore if something doesn't suit you... Yes.....we definitely won't do that anymore! NEVER EXPERIENCED....RIPOFF!!!!!¡

We were there yesterday for the first time and definitely not the last time. Simply great, they speak Franconian. I had the Schäuferla with the 630gr. Kniedla, very tasty. It almost tore me apart, but it had to go in. My wife had the roast pork and my daughter had the vegan cordan blue, both of which were very satisfied. The service was impeccable. We'll be back.

Hello Kniedlas Hüttn, I would like to thank you for the good food on the occasion of my birthday on Sunday. My guests were extremely enthusiastic about the good food and went home full, my son was able to eat it with the 630 gr. Kniedl and large Schäufele were really nice, I really believe it, but that's how he said afterwards, I'm exhausted, I can definitely recommend the place. For dinner, my wife had carp with potato salt, my wife had sauerbraten with dumpling, everything tasted great and I had the Ingreisch with the carp (is the milk from carp) of course I, as a Franconian and a carp eater, offered it. When people write in the recession that the potato salad was too oily or too spicy with vinegar then I have to say then they weren't telling the truth I rate what I see and What I can say is taste, everything was perfect again, as always, I intentionally held my birthday party in the house. I want to offer the family something good to eat and I can do that with a clear conscience

The service was extremely good - always courteous, never intrusive. We would love to come back (and bring friends with us). We are very pleased that we have now found a place where we can not only eat deliciously but also worry-free.

A dream for celiac disease sufferers who like to eat traditional Franconian cuisine. The portions were huge, even the small portion was more than enough. Gluten-free dishes are listed on a separate menu, marked with a flag and do not cost extra. The fries are basically gluten-free, so there is no risk of contamination. We'd love to come back!

Gluten-free Franconian food! A dream. 2 Schäufele, 1 of which is gluten-free! 1 mixed roast. All 3 dishes were very tasty. The sauce was very good. The Schäufele are crispy. The roast was soft and tender. All takeaway dishes. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Getting a separate gluten free menu is always great. Seeing that there are pretty much the same dishes as on the other menu made it even better as it made us feel really valued and taken seriously. When there are gluten-free flags in the dishes, you feel really good. Thank you and please keep it up!

Very friendly and attentive staff. The decor is nice, but it lacks a few elements that dampen the sound. When there are more guests it gets unpleasantly loud. My companion was enthusiastic about the Schäuferla and Sauerbraten. The breaded schnitzel/cordon bleu have a breading that takes some getting used to. Fries very good, the potato salad still has room for improvement. But overall, a worthwhile recommendation.

The classics of Franconian cuisine are prepared here at the highest level! Not only are the dishes excellent in terms of taste, but the portions are also generous. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right, and the staff impresses with friendly and professional service. Just tried sauerbraten & roast beef. Phenomenally delicious. Franconian or good roast dishes have become really rare these days. Thanks for that! After the Zehnteich train station is closed, we finally have a delicious place to go again 😋😃

Bad cuisine, rude host. You won't last long. Incredible. You would have to be given negative points. I was there again the next few days. Rating fully confirmed. Oh yes. The host can't read either. Then the trade inspectorate will probably keep an eye on the store in the next few months. Have fun, friends. And tip - they take samples. In the kitchen. And - last but not least - maybe I should come over with my crew. Which would of course be double plus bad for you. The Lasses'n'Lads are even more critical than I am. And tip - they like cheeky waiters and bullies even less than I do. And so that this is not misunderstood - of course they don't dismantle such a place - they just express their opinion loudly and effectively.

I was there with my girls and it was great. The dishes were very tasty. There are also various menus including vegan and vegetarian. I chose a Schäufele with 315g dumpling. It was very tasty and completely sufficient. Salad is extra. Price/performance is still ok. The staff is attentive, friendly and quick. We sat outside on the side street and that was a good choice. I will definitely recommend it and come back.

More mass than class. Were there for the first time today and was also the last time. Meat is tough, sauce inedible. The vegetarian dish was just spicy and probably a ready-made mess. That's probably why it was finished after 5 minutes. All this at juicy prices! Apart from standard sayings, there was no comment from the waiter. If you read how the restaurant deals with criticism, I don't expect any improvement.

We are used to good vegan food in Berlin, this restaurant can keep up! It's just great that every dish is vegetarian/vegan - and homemade too. Plus super nice, relaxed service, delicious beer and fair prices. We give it a 100% recommendation!

I cannot recommend the Kniedlas Hüeddn restaurant. The minuses: - The taste is mediocre, I've eaten much better. - Price-performance ratio not good: Normal portion of sauerbraten EUR 16.90, without a side salad (costs extra). That's expensive for a restaurant in a working-class area. Roast beef and sauerbraten seem to be the same meat, just with different sauces. Desserts are also expensive: apple cake or apple strudel with vanilla sauce € 11.90. - Children's portions are tiny. - Menu written in Franconian. But on Sunday there are actually only different roasts with dumplings. No other Franconian dishes (no bratwursts). Even if the dishes are formulated in Franconian style (Hüddnsalat is just a tuna salad, what's supposed to be Franconian about that?). - Beer garden small and right on the street - The waitress calls you by the same name, even though you don't even know each other - No parking space Pros: - Interior beautifully renovated and large - Vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free menu (I didn't try it though)

Delicious food: My husband had the Schäufela with giant dumpling and I had the spicy beef fillet with a smaller dumpling (I forgot the Franconian term from the menu - it was all written so funny). Great dumplings and super tender meat! Great portions. Very friendly service and also very clean toilets :) We'd love to come back!

Very good, plentiful sauce, nice large toilet with roasted bread inside and the most tender, good-sized Schäufele, We also recommend schnitzel (large, tender, good breading) with potato salad (homemade, very tasty). Food very good, waited 20 minutes for a drink because the service staff at the other tables, even when idle, cannot bring drinks to other tables or clear away the other tables. Guests are advised 1.5 hours before closing time, even though they just want a drink. Despite there being few guests, the waitresses are completely disorganized. E.g. glasses are carried without a tray, so that they have to be walked inefficiently several times, which means that the service to the guests suffers. A traditional Franconian restaurant that I only found out today that they offer everything vegetarian and vegan. absolutely great! They even make all the vegetarian things themselves, which I think is really great. The service was also very friendly and the food arrived very quickly😊👍🏻

Best vegan food! I've been eating my way through vegan cuisine for years and to finally have such great vegan home cooking is really a gift for all vegans and vegetarians. Sooo delicious. And what a selection. Now add vegan cheese spaetzle to the menu and I'll never cook at home again 😂 P.S. The nice service is of course a bonus 🫶🏼

We tried the Kniedlas Hueddn and were very positively surprised. The food is very good and more than sufficient. You can also get sauce for the roast dishes. The service is very friendly and attentive. dogs are welcome guests and are treated as such. Our dog immediately got a bowl of water and a treat. Thank you for the lovely evening!

A good place serving proper regional dishes. I liked it seemed like an old style German restaurant, the sort that seem to be disappearing. Also liked there were Vegan options, we had the two that were asparagus specials, our server said most of the other dishes were vegan too but did not see that marked as such on the menu ( please could they do this?) Anyway all fine would return

The vegan selection is great. Anyone who wants hearty food has come to the right place. Almost all dishes can be made vegan or vegetarian, which is still a rarity in Franconia.

Went to the restaurant today with a larger group of people, but we were the only ones there. The food took quite a long time (over 1 hour) to reach the table. Unfortunately, when I asked how long it would take for dessert to arrive, the waiter couldn't give me an answer other than: "Only the kitchen knows that." Unfortunately, many things, such as Diet Coke, vanilla ice cream and the vegan version of the apple fritters that were on the menu, were out of stock, but we only found out when we asked after all of these things had been ordered without any problems. The sauerbraten was tasty and tender, but unfortunately there was nothing sour about it. The sauces for the main courses didn't seem homemade to us and the apple strudel looked suspiciously like the frozen apple strudel from the discount store. At the end, our group was reprimanded by the waiter because one too many desserts had been ordered, even though several people had agreed to eat it anyway. The price is rather high, but unfortunately not in our opinion in terms of ambience. A pity. We probably won't come back. ————— Addendum after the restaurant's extremely friendly response: The first guests who arrived before our reservation time were 3 people who only ordered a drink. The service staff would have been happy to say that this was too much effort for them, then our colleagues would also have been happy to wait in front of the restaurant. Even after waiting for all the guests to arrive, I waited until 8:15 p.m. for the food. So probably (according to the restaurant owner) exactly an hour. I also find this to be too long. My colleagues and I are deeply sorry that the colleague who ordered the food couldn't be there, as it seems very important to the owner to get to know her. Unfortunately, I don't understand what her absence contributed to the outcome of the evening. Unfortunately, we assumed that a restaurant that advertises that everything is prepared fresh and with alternatives for every intolerance or food habit is able to offer alternatives to “normal” dishes. According to my information, the information about the meal requests of my colleagues and I has also been completely transmitted to the restaurant. Even if this did not happen for technical reasons, I am disappointed that alternatives were only reluctantly served for the reasons mentioned above. Especially since the owner assures us that the long waiting time was because every dish was prepared fresh and unprepared. Of course, it doesn't bother me that not every type of cola is available in a restaurant and it's understandable. However, I assume that something is available if I can easily order it. I'm also sorry for having mistakenly referred to the innkeeper as a waiter. I would like to correct that here: At the end, the innkeeper reprimanded us in a harsh tone (in my opinion) about not ordering anything you don't want. Of course, I don't know whether he did this with the intention of teaching us, but the tone of his voice made me strongly suspect so. I also don't think that blaming all the unpleasant aspects of the evening on the guests is particularly customer-oriented. But it doesn't matter, because unfortunately I can't accept the nice suggestion to visit again in private. I don't want to disappoint anyone else in my private circle (probably) with dinner in this restaurant and I don't like eating alone. Especially when the owner doesn't seem to care about the ambience and customer satisfaction. (Although cozy surroundings are advertised) P.S.: The owner is of course right that every member of the service team doesn't deserve exactly one star. The one friendly young gentleman who works there deserves a better review. Unfortunately, I could only rate the service as a whole and it wasn't satisfactory for me.

Yesterday we went there for lunch with the family. A very original Franconian restaurant. To study the menu you should be fluent in the Franconian language. The service was exceptionally good. The food, Franconian, was very good. Only to recommend. The portions are very large. We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends.

Hello, based on the reviews, both good and bad, we went to the restaurant today. It's very pleasant to sit there and I find the atmosphere completely fine. The waiters were all friendly, unobtrusive and very attentive and accommodating. The drinks and food came quickly. The food was great and even I, as a non-dumpling eater, found it very tasty. So we can't say anything negative about the place. Will definitely go there again when I'm in Nuremberg again.

Hello, as promised, here is my comment... First of all, read the reviews, the negative ones, I had a great time!!! The landlord and the team are great, they enjoy doing their job and it shows! Our meal was extremely tasty, I had the sauerbraten, great meat, as it should be. Schäufele and huge dumpling, duck... Everything was great!! Sauce would be added several times... But there were also 15 of us... My only personal favorite, the red cabbage was a bit very soft... For grandma...without teeth (you know what I mean) And the mixed roast, the sauce could use a little more seasoning.... Well, that's my taste... We all leave you absolutely deliciously full! Aaaand the dogs, you're so sweet!! I've never seen them get a treat and fresh water brought to the table!! Thank you very much and your name!!! And now about the ambience, well, I saw the pictures and was still pleasantly surprised. Guys, I know more people who have less of a plan at home, and here little things are decorated with love, period. And that's enough! We want to have enough space for our food and drink!!! We went to Kniedlas Hueddn for the first time - on the recommendation of other people with celiac disease who celebrated the range of gluten-free dishes and the staff's knowledge of the topic. And absolutely rightly so. We were warmly welcomed, very well advised and the food was delicious. Price-performance was also completely okay. We'd love to come back.

We needed gluten-free food suitable for people with celiac disease and found it here. Very good Franconian food with a great selection and a great menu. Here you know your way around and know what you are doing. Food was super tasty with great, friendly service - we're happy that we found something really good for the next few years ;-)

I would give it 3.5 stars. The food tastes excellent and the portions are decent. Overall, I would say this justifies the rather high price of the dishes. Maybe not for the soups - but whatever... There is nothing to complain about in terms of service. Beautifully Franconian, friendly and always interested in ensuring that the guest enjoys the food. Unfortunately, what I don't like at all is the atmosphere. That Greek touch *gag*. It would be nice if one day it would become a nice Franconian inn where you could sit for a longer period of time. Because I don't find it very comfortable at the moment. We would still like to come back - even if it is difficult to get a place. But that also shows the popularity of the Kniedlas Hueddn.

Went there for the first time yesterday. The food was super delicious! The portions were perfect. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and familiar. The boss is great and you could tell how much fun he has working with his team. The main reason for our visit was that you can order gluten-free food there without any worries. We'd love to come back!

I (50) went here for dinner for the first time with my wife (52) and my mother (79). We were thrilled with all three. Great service, excellent food and a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly staff, food very tasty and well made. Portions are very well balanced, just right. The only disadvantage Always busy, it's best to reserve a week in advance (on public holidays) two weeks. I can only recommend it. We will eat here more often.

Rarely have I been received so warmly by a restaurateur. Despite the stress in service, he has an open ear for every guest. The dishes chosen were so delicious and plentiful. The price/performance ratio is right. We will visit this restaurant more often now.

“I’ve never seen anything like that before!!!” There were four of us and we were guests at Kniedlas Hüddn for the first time. We primarily wanted to reserve a table for 1 p.m., but due to overcrowding we only got a table for 2 p.m. We arrived at Kniedlas Hüddn around 1:50 p.m. We received a friendly welcome and a young waitress accompanied us to our table with the comment that she was responsible for us today. After we sat down, she told us that they were only open until 3 p.m. We agreed that 70 minutes should be enough to eat and placed our orders (2 x Schäufele, 1 x mixed roast and 1 x sauerbraten. Plus 2 x side salad, 1 x red cabbage and 4 beers). The food was served after a short wait and, according to everyone, was good in terms of both taste and portion size. We were already thinking about when we wanted to be guests here next. So far so good. After we finished eating, one of us wanted to order a beer. That was at 2:35 p.m. However, the waitress came back to our table without a beer and said that the boss had told her that no more beer would be served because they would close at 3 p.m.?! We all got big eyes, especially since there was a couple sitting at one of the neighboring tables, each with full beer glasses. The waitress apologized several times and tried again to be allowed to serve a beer, which was again forbidden by the boss. None of us could understand why we didn't get any more beer 25 minutes before closing time, which is why I can only give this one out of five stars in the overall rating. And that's entirely thanks to the boss, because overall the restaurant actually deserves 3 to 4 stars in terms of the friendliness of the service, the food and the ambience. The boss made us feel unwelcome, so to speak. So we were guests at Kniedlas Hüddn for the first and last time. Addendum or answer to the comment from Kniedlas Hüddn: We wanted to reserve a table for 1 p.m. two days before. As noted above, this wish could not be fulfilled. Instead, they gave us a table for 2 p.m. Now, of course, I'm wondering how it can be, if you already knew at this point that your restaurant closes at 2:30 p.m., that you even still invite guests from 2 p.m.?! I quote you: They got their food and drinks..." In a time window of 30 minutes, the meal becomes sporty for everyone! All that was missing was for one of your team to stand next to us at the table and constantly point to the clock. Besides, we didn't sit with them until 3 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. the waitress told us that she had to collect because the restaurant was about to close. And after we didn't get any more drinks and were made to feel like we were no longer welcome, we left Kniedlas Hüddn at 2:45 p.m. I think it's a shame that you're shifting the blame onto your waitress. Because she was obviously embarrassed about getting rid of us on her behalf, that's our impression. Which was strengthened because you yourself didn't have the courage to face us personally. Instead, when we left, you hid in the kitchen. It remains! 1 star out of 5! A tip from me: take this and the other reviews as objective criticism and also work on your ability to take criticism.

My husband had sea bream fillet with potato salad and I had vegan roast pork with dumpling. For starters there was tomato mozzarella and black bread with tomato and garlic. Dessert was apple fritters with cinnamon and sugar and cream. Was very tasty. Service was very friendly. Thank you very much, we will be back❤️❤️

I'm very disappointed 😞 I had vegetarian sauerbraten, the sauce was mixed up with just spicy. I mentioned it and the answer was: I just have to drink a little more. No apologies, pity. I wanted to order dessert and the answer was: we'll do it later 😵‍💫 after 10 minutes we could still order. They advertise that they use regional products as much as possible, vegetable schnitzel, frozen product from the dealer. For dessert, cream from a can, not fresh. Price performance not in relation. Conclusion not twice.

The food was amazing and the friendly team managed to offer great dishes for everyone - and of really good quality. Vegan, gluten-free or completely traditional… creative and with passion. Great recommendation!

I had a vegan schnitzel with dumpling and gravy for €15. The dumpling itself was very tasty. The schnitzel was okay and the gravy didn't taste like anything. In general, there was not enough sauce on most dishes and there was no free ketchup for the schnitzel. For a pub the atmosphere could be more cozy. The dining room is very bare. What I also find extremely unfortunate is that you have to pay €2 for every card payment.

First of all: the food is really delicious. Also the vegetarian/vegan stuff. Great praise. However, we had to wait over an hour for the food. In between, no one came to ask us about new drinks. In general, the question of whether everyone was still satisfied was completely missing. We also found the prices to be quite high. By the way: card payments only from 50€, anything below that is charged an extra 2€ when paying by card (see picture).. not quite as charming either. So the food is really great (hence four stars) but the visit is a little annoying at one point or another. ..... Addendum to the restaurant's reaction: Otherwise there was only one other table occupied and we had reserved early and were there on time and in the reserved number.

We were invited there for a birthday and were very happy with everything! Especially with the nice service! 🥰 Even though it's over an hour's drive from us, we will eat there again!

I was curious when I found out that almost all traditional Franconian dishes are also available as veggie and vegan versions. We had both roast pork and vegan sauerbraten. The sauce and Kniedla were excellent, meat substitute was ok for me. Great service, ambience could have been a little more comfortable. Clear recommendation!

The food was great except for the dessert, which still needs a bit of work. The staff was very, very nice and attentive. The atmosphere could be more comfortable. The only thing we all complained about at the table was that the heating in the restaurant was probably broken .Unfortunately far too cold to sit.

The food is really great, a pure taste experience even for vegans/vegetarians. If you want to eat gluten-free, there is also a good selection available and the service will advise you if you have any questions. The ambience is cozy with the fireplace and the beautiful LEDs. The staff is a dream, very accommodating and friendly. Many thanks to the whole team :)

Ambience: a catastrophe for us...we found the pictures on the wall very inappropriate for a guest room, half-dead plants, everything somehow broken or old, just cold and loveless Service: Attempted but not professional Food: Sometimes very good (Schäufele), then again a failure (Cordon Blue, which is still served cold on the inside). We didn't like the vegetarian roast at all.

I spontaneously looked for a place to have dinner and decided on Kniedlas Hüddn. Rarely have we eaten so good regional food! I had the Schäufele and my husband had the Cordon Bleu. The crust of the Schäufele was super crispy and the meat was totally tender! The Cordon Bleu was also absolutely delicious and well filled too! The cheese just spilled out! We were also asked several times about our satisfaction and immediately offered whether we would like to have the food we didn't make packed up. Extra sauce was even added. We will definitely come back, just to try the sauerbraten!

Perfect service, carp with potato salad very good! Vegan sauerbraten also very tasty! Very attentive service!! Gladly again when we come to Nuremberg! I just don't think the reference to card payments up to €50 and a €2 service fee is up-to-date these days

One of the best Schäufele I've ever eaten. There were four of us there and everyone was happy. The service (it was probably the landlord himself) was also very friendly and friendly to the guests. Beer selection not great, but wheat or light beer works fine. We wish you a long life in the inn 😁
