The food was absolutely delicious; it's always worth going there, and it's best to make a reservation. The waitress was fantastic and served us very well. The appetizer was excellent and highly recommended. It was very cozy, and I will definitely come back again.

It's actually a really nice restaurant where you can get Franconian dishes of good quality at reasonable prices. However, you usually have to book very early, ideally 2-3 months in advance, if you want to be sure of getting a table at your desired time, at least in the evenings. There are two time slots available: 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm. During the colder months, it's very unpleasant that they apparently don't turn on the heating. This is a bad habit that is unfortunately becoming increasingly common in German restaurants.

A fantastic lunch experience – highly recommended! This was our first time at Albrecht Dürer Stube, and even the initial contact was excellent. With our group of 16, there was a lot of email correspondence beforehand, with some changes happening along the way – and yet every adjustment was handled patiently, kindly, and with the utmost professionalism. That's truly remarkable with so many people! At lunch itself, everything was perfect: top-notch cuisine, superb service, a cozy atmosphere, and no long wait times. Also very important to us: they offer gluten-free options, and they're completely hassle-free. A special thank you to Ms. Pia, whose friendliness and calm demeanor made our visit truly special. A warm, family atmosphere awaits you here! It's a cozy, small, family-run restaurant in the heart of the city. Tip: Reservations are highly recommended, otherwise you'll unfortunately be turned away, as the restaurant is quite small. The photos show a classic Schäufele (pork shoulder), a senior-sized portion of mustard creamed chicken breast, the delicious apple fritters, and the crème brûlée. Everything is incredibly delicious! 🤤 👌🏼

Reservations are generally only possible on the hour and then only for two hours; after that, it's essentially a table change. The decorations make the place very cozy and rustic, with lots of pictures on the walls. Unfortunately, at least during our visit, the staff didn't quite live up to the ambiance. They were friendly, though. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. Overall, it was a pleasant two hours with a touch of assembly-line service.

We've been here twice. The first time was outstanding. The second time was good, average, although the place was packed. Solid food and solid service. For tourists, it's definitely a good place to go in the old town for hearty food and rustic charm.

The menu has something for everyone.

It was a fine choice directly in the city center, near to the castle. The food was not so especial with limited options. I can recommend the Bärlauchsuppe and the mix starter plate. A huge minus point is Schäufele was not offered to us and other guests during our visit. Although they were still available, the next guests were coming 1 hour after us but could order it.

We haven't eaten this well in a long time! Every dish was simply delicious, and you can immediately tell that the kitchen is run by true professionals who love and understand their craft. The service staff was consistently attentive, warm, and very child-friendly – ​​our little ones even got their food first. An all-around successful visit! Service on Wednesday was terrible. We were ignored three times at the table before we were allowed to order. No greeting, glasses were slammed down. We were ignored again several times when we tried to pay. When we followed the waiter to the cash register and told them we'd been waiting a long time and were in a hurry, she rolled her eyes. The table next to us was immediately yelled at because they wanted to pay separately. She didn't even ask about that. The food and price were great. We still won't be back. Unwanted, but accepted; we'll go somewhere else.

A cozy Franconian restaurant just steps from Dürer’s house, with wood-paneled walls, checkered tablecloths, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The menu focuses on regional classics, crispy pork shoulder with dumpling and red cabbage, Nuremberg sausages with potato salad, rich goulash, and everything is cooked with care. Portions are hearty without being overwhelming, and desserts like the sampler plate or affogato with gingerbread ice cream are standouts. Add in warm service and fair prices, and you’ve got one of the best places in the old town to enjoy traditional Nuremberg flavors.

Had high hopes as this restaurant came highly recommended by Tripadvisor & other websites. Walked in without booking, shared a table with another family which was all lovely. Food was “ nice” but was spoilt by the waitresses who were brusque with all the tourists ( were happy & jovial if you were German) sat at the end of the meal with no drinks no food & ignored for 30 mins before we gave up & asked for the bill.

Really good Franconian cuisine, even if you're from Nuremberg, you can go there. The basic menu features great dishes, especially the sour Nuremberg sausages, which are incredibly delicious. There are also regular additional dishes that are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The service is fast, always friendly, and attentive. The dirndl-wearing costumes, however, make it clear that tourists are an important target audience. It's sometimes quite loud in the restaurant, but it's still manageable. I love coming here, or as we say in Franconia, "Passd scho."

If every major German city had even a remotely authentic inn like this, the world would be a better place for travelers. Traditional restaurant with a modest menu. Mainly local and regional customers. Typical Franconian dishes at very fair prices. Friendly and attentive service. Excellent bratwursts, accompanied by unrivaled roasted potatoes. Also highly recommended is the lamb's lettuce with slices of white sausage. One positive aspect is that, among other things, they serve excellent non-alcoholic beer from the traditional Franconian brewery Landwehr. Wholehearted recommendation.

We couldn't try anything or test anything... although the management was aware that there was a private party during the evening opening at 5:30 p.m.... there was no notice posted at the entrance or on the building. So we waited an hour in advance for a table, instead of immediately looking for another place to eat. An employee appeared at the door at opening time and explained to the English-speaking tourists waiting in front of us that the restaurant was closed to "walk-ins"... We then took the liberty of asking again in German... and that didn't change the situation. We were also referred to another restaurant, whose visit unfortunately turned out to be a huge disappointment. But why no information about the private party was available at the restaurant in time was unfortunately neither apologized nor explained. Thank you for such "hospitality".... ... to your response: You always immediately look for the customer and blame them... zero stars for that alone. Where on your website does it say that reservations are absolutely necessary??? .... and if walk-ins aren't "welcome," then a notice should be posted next to the opening hours. By the way, we're not just anyone, but like every guest, we're our own people. The unpleasant impression we're left with cannot, unfortunately, be corrected after this response. It's a shame... but hospitable hospitality looks different to us....

An authentic place, truly a gem, we discovered it by chance, passing in front of it and we were captured by the excellent smells of food coming out of the windows. Every year we come to the Albrecht-Dürer Stuben at least once for my father's birthday party: always a treat for all generations!

A quaint restaurant with lovely old decor. We were asked if we could sit at a table with others, which was no problem for us, especially since the table was large. We were told we had an hour. The food came quickly; the goulash was good, but the Nuremberg sausages were very dry, and the roast potatoes had barely seen the pan. After 50 minutes, the receipt was placed on our table. Now that's what I call a slap on the wrist.

The asparagus salad and shoulder of pork were excellent, and the service was very friendly, quick, and super funny. It's truly refreshing to be served like that!

Wieder einmal ein Treffen alter Freunde. Das Lokal ist traditionell alt und gemütlich eingerichtet,jetzt weihnachtlich geschmückt. Natürlich ist es ein bißchen eng, wirkt aber nie überfüllt. Man wird manchmal bei jemandem dazugesetzt, aber es wollen halt ein paar Leute mehr das gute Essen genießen. Bei freundlichem, aufmerksamem Service wieder schöne Stunden. NB: Reservierung ist dringend empfohlen.

Upon arrival at the restaurant , I inquired about available seating for one person. The waitress initially asked how many people were in my party, and upon learning I was alone, she stated there were no available tables. When I asked if there was a minimum number of people required for seating, she mentioned that the café was fully booked. This interaction left me feeling unwelcome, as it seemed my solo status was the reason for the refusal. It’s disappointing when a place values table turnover over customer experience. I hope the management reconsiders how they accommodate individual guests in the future

Historic restaurant with a lot of demand which means you should book. But be careful: here you book a seat but not a table! You will find yourself with strangers eating at the same table without notice. I did not like the food (neither the main course the pork shoulder nor the mixed dessert Dürerplatte. Very greasy but still tasteless and watery vegetables (Rotkraut) and Kartoffelknödel of very poor quality. The fabric tablecloths remain on the tables; they are not changed after each customer so for me it is unhygienic. I will not return.

A great, quaint restaurant in the heart of the city. The food is typically regional and you wouldn't dare say it - extremely cheap. 2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 dessert and 4 large beers.....under €80.- MEGA!. The staff is very friendly and attentive and professional. It is advisable to reserve in advance as it is very busy. Thank you for the extremely nice evening...we'll be back.
