The Hütt'n inn offers a wide selection of beers and spirits, as well as a large variety of delicious food. The Schäuferla (roast pork shoulder) is highly recommended. However, it gets very busy in the evenings; our group of 12 squeezed into a table that was really only comfortable for 10 people, even though there were plenty of reservations. Therefore, one star is deducted. Otherwise, it's highly recommended; the service was friendly and quick.

Dear Udo, It's really lovely at your place. But why isn't the daily menu available online? Also, there's no need to always squeeze guests in with each other when there's plenty of space in the back! Sometimes people want to have a quiet conversation or just eat in peace. Or squeeze in at the bar when we want to eat! The waiters don't need to roll their eyes at that; not everyone wants to eat crammed at a narrow counter. We don't eat at your place as often anyway, since the quality is so inconsistent. So, please post the daily menu on Facebook and Instagram, and stop piling guests up at the front! A slight price increase would be nice, but the quality and flavor could be improved. Thumbs up to the staff, especially Michi!

The food at this typical restaurant was good, but the guy at the entrance who assigns you a table was impossible. Unfortunately, everyone has to go through him; he's the usher! When I asked him for a small, private table, he initially refused and wanted to seat me at a table with two complete strangers—following the motto: the more people I cram in, the more money I make—absolutely unacceptable. I only got the private table because I agreed to stay for just 30 minutes. There are other typical restaurants that are certainly run more courteously. My advice: steer clear—you shouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior.

Traditional restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. We ordered a large platter of cold cuts and cheeses, which satisfied everyone. A wide selection of different beers, from red and cellar beers to smoked beers, dark beers, and pale lagers, all very tasty.

We simply asked if there was a free table. I've never experienced such arrogance. He asked us to leave, even though it was clear there were still tables available. He insulted us for no reason whatsoever! It used to be a good place. Now, please avoid it!

For me, this is one of the best restaurants nearby. I've been here twice now with more than five people, and I have to say the food is extremely excellent every time. We had visitors from America, and they immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, the friendly service, and especially the delicious food. It's my first choice when I'm in Nuremberg city center.

We arrived with 37 people - ordered in the morning - after about 15 minutes everyone had something to drink and after 45 minutes about 16 people (one large table) had their food - thank you for that - for the fast, friendly and competent service and praise to the kitchen - for the delicious food - thank you to the entire team for the great evening.

You're practically kicked out after 90 minutes, giving the impression of a mass processing operation. Otherwise, the service is good and friendly, and this restaurant is definitely recommended.

We made our reservations well in advance, and everything went perfectly. The food is Franconian, traditional, and delicious 👍 The prices are still moderate considering the location directly below the castle and practically next to the Dürer House. The Hütten Inn, located directly beneath the castle in Nuremberg, serves traditional and excellent Franconian cuisine. The portions are very generous. The food and drinks are of good quality and quantity. The value for money is excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. Reservations are recommended. Otherwise, just ask and sit down; it usually works out in the relaxed atmosphere. We'd be happy to return.

Looking for a cozy restaurant with a decent lunch, we found it here and were absolutely not disappointed. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, has plenty of seating, and the staff is super-responsive and super friendly. We had the shoulder of pork with dumplings and a dark sauce, with some cabbage on the side. A definite recommendation. Our order was taken super quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. They even accommodated special requests for our little daughter. The restaurant is priced right in the middle range. We loved it and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Hütt'n. The taste was a 10/10, in my opinion. I had the Franconian Sauerbraten—amazing, incredibly tender beef in a delicious gingerbread sauce with delicious dumplings. The prices for the (Bavarian) dishes are perfectly reasonable, if not very good. The Hütt'n is a great place to sit—a lovely, rustic, Bavarian, Franconian design. There are lovely dining booths where you can enjoy a great meal. I was also very satisfied with the service—very attentive, not too attentive; friendly; welcoming. I recommend reserving a table in advance, because we arrived around 2 p.m., and even at that time, almost all the tables in sight were occupied. During peak times, you might not be able to get a table on the spot. The Hütt'n is a fantastic place! Come by and dig in — delicious Bavarian food!

We had a delicious meal at Wirtshaus Hütt’n. The restaurant has a cozy, typically Bavarian atmosphere and a menu full of hearty, flavorful dishes. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and generously sized. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel immediately welcome. Combined with the relaxed atmosphere, this made for a very enjoyable evening. In short: highly recommended if you're looking for a traditional and cozy dinner in Nuremberg.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience. The staff wasn't friendly at all; we seemed like a nuisance. Since we spoke English and not German, the easiest thing we could do was show them what we wanted from their Google Photos images. They brought us something else, which was three times more expensive. We left disappointed.

Acceptable food, grilled turkey salad full of oil. Very good Nuremberg sausages. Good beer. The attitude of the girl at the reservations leaves something to be desired, she was rude to us at first. We greeted her the first time we entered the restaurant, then we looked at the menu to make sure we wanted to eat there, and then we asked if they had a table for two. Her answer was "first say hello" given the fact that we greeted her when we entered the building. I'll leave a picture of the oil in the salad after we finished eating

Great food, great service, great atmosphere

I was here in 2023 and really liked the place: everything inside was so authentic, so much wood, all kinds of decor, a pleasant atmosphere. I was alone, but they seated an Italian family with me; there weren't enough tables. The pork with dumplings was delicious, and the red beer was great too. If I ever return to Nuremberg, I'll definitely come here again.

Be ware of rats in restaurant at broad day light!!! We were copletely surprised seeing that rat was moving around the sitting area. Waitress said it is normal since whole area is very old and all the houses are also rat infested. Well, That is not right answer.

No table reservation here. Come and find a member of staff and they will get you seated. We had such a good meal that we came back the next evening. Great Sauerbraten and Fränkisches Schäufle. A piece of roasted pork with crackling. Second night we had the sausages and the Schnitzel also delicious 😋. A good selection of local beer specialities and good wines. Definitely a must in the castle area of Nürnberg.

The schnitzel and shoulder of pork were simply delicious, good value for money. The portions are generous! The service from the staff could be better. They handed us a menu and two minutes later, without a word, snatched it from our hands. Then they gave us an updated menu or the daily specials without explanation. He did this to all the tables that were there at the time and was a bit impatient while we decided on our order based on the new menu. However, I will come back for the food and the good prices.

Recommended by the free tour guide, it was a great choice. The roasted pork knuckle couldn't have been more delicious. It's a place that mixes tourists with locals. For dessert, we tried a kind of apple-filled doughnut that was delicious.

Our food was average and nothing special. The beers were priced fairly. In terms of ambience it really falls short with wasps and flies constantly flying around you while you eat, and mice on the patio running by your feet. The schweinebraten was especially fatty, which I didn’t enjoy.

We traveled to Nuremberg from Munich to explore the city and wander its streets. After reading reviews of restaurants in the area where our tour would end, I decided to book this restaurant, which did not disappoint. We ordered pork shoulder and cordon bleau for two, and both were spectacular. The sausages also looked delicious, but we'd already eaten enough of this dish, so we decided not to order them. If you're a tourist looking for something good, pretty, and cheap, this is your place.
