As a group we were squeezed into a table that was much too small. We had never experienced such unfriendly staff, especially the woman at reception. We are sorry for disturbing the employees with our presence and our money. It'll never happen again, I promise. This tourist trap is recommended by hotels... the place is buzzing without making any effort...

Super delicious Franconian cuisine.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere very cozy. The service was quite chaotic but it worked anyway. For beers it was easy to choose between blonde, red and black (red is recommended because it is so typical of the city), and for dishes you could eat between 9-13 euros for different combinations of sausages with accompaniment, or between 17 euros and more for the various traditional dishes. You could pay by card.

The food was delicious. We had to share a table with other people. The restaurant was very busy, maybe that's why the service wasn't very good.

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. We made weeks ago a reservation for 18.00. When we arrived we had to wait for a free table what is okay, but then the waitress told us that we have the table only for 90 minutes (Group of 11) and the time started already ticking from 18.00 At 19.15 she asked already us to pay immediately and 10 minutes later, even before the strange 90 minutes counter was really over, she asked us to leave the restaurant. I never experienced such a poor behavior in a restaurant. Time slots okay, but 90 minutes and without any communication at the point of reservation is totally not okay!

Quaint Franconian inn. Good beer selection. Unfortunately we were asked to leave quite spontaneously because the table had been passed on.

Yesterday we had a great meal at this restaurant! The food is AWESOME, also quality of service and atmosphere best of the best! I want to thank Ukrainian girl Yulia very much for her attention!!! A 1000% recommended restaurant. We will return for sure!

Rich and tasty portions. Typical Bavarian atmosphere. We tasted a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, a plate of mixed sausages (from Nuremberg and Bavarian) and pork on cream, mushrooms and spatzle.

Next to the House of Tule, the staff speaks English fluently and has an English menu; the four-cent dish for 2 large and 2 small meals is just right; the signature roasted pork shoulder is delicious and the portion is moderate, and the potato balls as a side dish are more delicious than those eaten elsewhere, and the pork shoulder is thin The meat is a bit dry but mixed with the sauce and it is moderately soft and hard; the signature fried steak (around 22 euros) is generous and delicious; the 6-piece sausage set (with mashed potatoes or sauerkraut on the side) is not a big portion and I ordered 2 portions, European . As for the beer, I accidentally ordered a bottle of smoked george (0.37ml). The taste was very special, with the smell of leather oil, which I didn’t like very much. Comfortable environment!

Had the impression that the food consisted of finished products. Subterranean potato salad, sauerkraut hard and tasteless. Franconian bratwurst half raw and not hot. Nurberger sausages without taste. Somehow I just felt dismissed. Too bad, never again. Every sausage stand in Nuremberg is much better.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately some components of the food were only lukewarm/cold, the service (a young girl) was very nice. The rest didn't work for us; if we had known that reservations were made based on seats and not tables (like in other restaurants), we wouldn't have made a reservation there. We sat at a table with strangers, which we don't like. Well, our next visit to Nuremberg won't be for dinner there.

The generous portions, the friendly service, the excellent taste and the large selection of regional beers persuaded us to visit the inn on two consecutive days. It's a shame that these were our last two days in Nuremberg, but we will definitely come back the next time we visit the city.

Schnitzel is really delicious. I've had schnitzel from about 10 places so far and this was the best. Schoipele is quite soft. I heard the sausage was rather mediocre, but I personally found it tastier than the most famous place in Nurem. 4 people ordered 3 menu items and 3 drinks and it came to about 55 euros. The cost-effectiveness is also excellent.

We were here yesterday with 6 people. It's cozy but noisy. Food was very different. Sometimes the roast was only partially crispy and sometimes the sauerkraut was cold. Plenty of selection of freshly tapped beer.

The perfect inn to discover the tradition of Franconian cuisine. The service is friendly and they always try to find a table for the guest even without a reservation. The Schäufele is excellent, but the best things here are the Nuremberg sausages (perhaps the best in the city) and the sausage platter with potato salad or sauerkraut. The house beer is delicious.

Unfortunately the website is not up to date, it was shown as open, but unfortunately we found ourselves in front of a closed door. Tuesdays are a rest day.

Right in front of the castle, I ate Schäufele for the first time and it was absolutely great. Rustic atmosphere, great beer and service, good value for money.

The waitresses are unfriendly, rude and make bad faces. We asked for tap water (like the rest of the tables) and they told us they didn't have it. They brought us a long letter in German and another half small one in English. We asked for the extensive translation and they told us that it was the one we already had when it was clear that it was not the same... Terrible service

Nicely located inn below the Tiergärtnertor. Location for sitting outside is great. Food is OK, but nothing special. Franconian food in the city. Usually busy, also lots of tourists because of the location. But you can do it, and then definitely have a beer at the Wanderer afterwards!

The two of us ate here today. The inn itself looks very quaint and nice :) We got a table straight away. It was 3pm to 9pm, the kitchen closes at 9pm. Food & drinks were received quickly, the waitresses were all nice & attentive. The order arrived very quickly. The Schäufele (+ side salad with great dressing) & the roast pork were really delicious. Juicy meat, fresh dumplings despite the time, good sauce, crispy skin on the Schäuferle! The waiter said that we could still order dessert after 9, but the second waitress had to tell us at 3 after 9 that there were neither apple cakes nor chocolate cakes for us. That was a bit of a shame, but I know that catering kitchens often take their times very seriously. ;) So it's best to order dessert at the same time, if you show up for dinner as early (late) as we did! Otherwise a really great meal with a nice atmosphere and service. Priced totally within the framework for the city & the quality!

Beautiful inn “on the castle” in Nuremberg.

It's a traditional shop where you won't see many tourists, that's why I preferred it. It has very nice environment inside and you feel the German culture. The schnitzel we had was very nice and the bone was literally melting. Everything we ate was very tasty.

This is the most magnificent establishment in Nuremberg. The food is so delicious that you can swallow your tongue. The interior and atmosphere are just fire. The staff is polite and considerate. If I’m in Nuremberg again, I’ll only come to you. Thank you very much😊

If you want rustic Franconian cuisine, this is the right place for you

Large restaurant with typical cuisine from the area, the dishes are very good and very large. There is a good atmosphere and the waiters are very friendly and recommend beers or dishes.

We went on the recommendation of the free tour guide and it was a success. Good quality-price. It is essential to order the shoulder (schäufele) and some sausages. Both dishes with garnish and two beers cost about €20 per person but it is worth it. It's usually full, but if you wait at the door someone eventually comes out and seats you quickly

Very nice space and atmosphere! The beer is fantastic! We also tried a local hazelnut shot drink. We were lucky because we happened to share our table with 2 fantastic guys who helped us with what to order as they visited the shop often! Schnitzel tasty but not the best we tried. We quite liked the variety with the 2 sausages (the local one from Nuremberg very tasty) and the cordon bleu was awesome, you should definitely try it!

We go to the hut every year at Christmas time. It's always a very entertaining evening with good food and delicious beer. Update 2024: Another highlight this year.

We were seven guests and made a reservation, they bring the food 45 minutes after we ordered, one of the dishes was schnitzel and it was smaller than children's dish and then when we wanted to order Dessert they asked us to pay because the reservation is just for 1.5 hrs... Bad Service, it doesn't worth it...!!

There was a lot of activity on the 4th of Advent and we had made a special reservation. Waited 20 minutes even though there was a free table right next to us. We were finally seated there. Service very on point. Schäufele and roast pork were very tasty. The original Viennese average. Overall good value for money.

Very quick ready meal. The plate is on the table in 15 minutes, even when the house is full. Food & salad is good. STAFF IS VERY GOOD. BEER IS VERY DELICIOUS.

Despite a reservation, you are not allowed to stay seated for longer than 1.5 hours. This made it uncomfortable and felt like a production line with precise timing. Eat, pay, get out and after 2 minutes the next people were already sitting at the table with the drinks. The ambience and food are otherwise great - we would have liked to have stayed longer if we had been allowed... a shame

Bad service. We were a party of two. We ordered one main dish each. Two people. Two dishes. The waitress forgot one of the two dishes. Until she came over to ask us to pay. Next time, don't forget what people order when all they order is one main each. Simple as that.

I have never experienced such a bad restaurant despite having made a reservation and we arrived at our table 30 minutes later. When we order desert we are told that unfortunately there is no time left for it as the guests from the night are waiting for the table. When we made the reservation, no one told us that the table was only reserved for 1.5 to 2 hours

A system where you share a large table with other people. Food is naturally salty. Beef soup is really, really salty. Service is fast. But they kept telling me that I had to leave in an hour and that I had to leave in 15 minutes. They don't do that to foreigners next to them or people at other tables, but they do that to us;; I went because they said I would be safe from racism, but I wasn’t;; Don’t go~~~~~

It was very crowded, but we managed to get a seat. The beer and food were both very delicious. It seems to be popular with the locals and was crowded with Christmas parties, which had a great atmosphere!

Went to the W market today. Everything was super crowded and tight. Spontaneously into the hats. Everything was full, we got a table after 10 minutes of waiting. Finally warm up and sit comfortably. The food was super delicious for everyone. The portions are really big. We come out happy, full and satisfied. Thank you😀

Even though we entered around 14:30, this place was already full of people. Only bar seats were available. We had smoke beer (which was recommended by a tour guide) and pork shoulder. Pork shoulder was really big that we were glad that we ordered just one. Otherwise, we would not have been able to finish it. It was really tender and juicy. Smoky taste of beer was interesting.

“At least the food was delicious” was the thought as we walked out. You are seated at the table with strangers despite having a reservation and a small child and the atmosphere with hectic waiters feels like mass processing, you don't want to know what it's like on weekends.

It was nice that they seated us between reservations. Pretty standard menu. We liked what we ordered and would have gone back if we needed a safe bet on another night.

Without a doubt the best meal I've had in years. We were lucky not to book and arrive at the restaurant and have seats. We sat at a table that already had a couple. The super friendly waitress saw that they had the dish I wanted, I even got this tip from Google, and we ordered this dish and the roast pork. We were both WONDERFUL and we drank rotbier which, without a doubt, was the best beer I've ever had. For dessert we ordered a typical dessert from the region, which was breaded and fried apples served with ice cream and whipped cream. Simply delicious dessert, super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The restaurant is beautiful, very traditional, the waitresses are very friendly, the food is wonderful and the price is fair for everything served. I want to go back to Nuremberg to repeat the experience.

Here is an overview of our experience: Prices The prices were absolutely fine and appropriate for the quality offered. Eat The food was outstanding! In terms of taste, we were impressed across the board and the kitchen deserves high praise. service Service was a double-edged sword. Some employees were extremely friendly and courteous, while others seemed disinterested and not very motivated. Unfortunately, our waiter apparently didn't feel like doing his job, which really spoiled the overall impression. A big annoyance was the billing. Individual billing per person was not possible. The last person in the group had to pay all outstanding items - an approach that is unacceptable in a large group like ours. A simple system, such as the classic recording of orders on a beer mat, would have easily solved this problem. However, the waiter was unwilling to respond. Ambience The ambience was a matter of taste. The space was sometimes very cramped, which some of us found uncomfortable. Others saw it as having a rustic and cozy charm. We were particularly struck by the stuffy air. It felt like I was in a steam boiler - so uncomfortable for me that I wouldn't come back for that reason alone. A major safety problem was the blocked emergency exits, which of course immediately caught our eye as firefighters. This is an absolute no-go and should be fixed urgently. Conclusion The restaurant has its strengths, especially in the kitchen. Unfortunately, organizational and atmospheric deficiencies cloud the overall picture. For us, the negative impressions outweigh the bad air, the safety problems and the chaotic billing. A visit could be worthwhile depending on your expectations, but we are unlikely to return.

Good food, local, old place, but it has its charm. Friendly staff who make the effort to understand you and give you good service. The majority of diners are local, there must be a reason. Economical prices given the area it is in.

We were on vacation in Nuremberg for the Christmas Market. One of our plans was to drink German beer in a German restaurant. We went to the Wirthaus Hüttn. Since it was a spontaneous plan, the staff at the door made us wait for 10 minutes and told us that they could accommodate us between 19:00 and 20:00. We waited 10 minutes at the door and then they took us to a table where several customers could sit at the same time and we ordered our beer and pommes. The staff who took the order told us that we couldn't sit at the table if we weren't going to eat, but there were no empty seats at the bar. I don't think an employee at the door whose only job is to seat incoming customers at tables should make a superior effort. They should have told us at the beginning that they could take us to the bar if we did not want to eat. We explained this and said that their behavior was not nice, in return their attitude towards us became even more rude. I definitely do not recommend it.

We were guests last night and made reservations for 10 people well in advance. Unfortunately, despite this knowledge, a table for a maximum of 8 people was set aside for us. From that moment on, our visit to this restaurant was unfortunately no longer what we had hoped for! It was so cramped at this table that you couldn't eat properly!!! The management probably isn't interested in such problems anyway, because the walk-in customers are so large thanks to the Christmas market that you only have 1.5 hours to eat and drink before you have to leave again. Unfortunately everything is designed for sales!!!! Otherwise, the portions of the food are sufficient and I have to say pretty tasty.

They don’t like tourists? We were waiting to get seated for 10 minutes, couple of German people came, cut in front of us in line, the “host” just ignored us , seated them and then proceeded to tell us there’s no tables available, and I told him that we were waiting and we were first, and he should tell the people that he let in, and just shrugged and said that we have to wait. Go elsewhere if you’re a tourist , go to Trödelstuben instead, way nicer people and the place itself is nicer

Typical Bavarian tavern. Perhaps the sausage portions are a bit small for the price. Instead, we ordered a generous assortment of cheeses. It is located in the heart of Munich. Friendly staff, they have a menu in several languages.

It's actually always the same. Whether in the inn or at the old town festival. If you make a reservation for 8 people, you will be squeezed into a 6-man table. If you reserve for 10 people, you get a table for 8 people. The maximum is always achieved for the operator. Of course, this means that there is a lot to do for the service employees, which is sometimes reflected in the tone. This time we ate a Franconian snack platter. Ham and butter were initially completely missing. Pepperbeißer or Ringelwurst were just a few thin slices. Just like cheese. But there were three or four slices of cold roast that had to go. For me it's less of an original Franconian inn and more of a tourist shed. The beer was tasty.

We sat at a table and ordered potato chips and beer, and they took our order. Five minutes later, they told us that fries don’t count as food and that if we weren’t going to have a proper meal, we couldn’t stay. They practically kicked us out. Definitely avoid this place; we’ve never seen such rude staff.

Nice pub atmosphere. Lohndorfer farmer's grill ordered (pork, turkey, beef steak). The turkey and pork were borderline firm, the beef steak was completely cooked through and impossible to chew. After telling the very nice service that I didn't want to/couldn't eat the meat, I was told that they would let the kitchen know and that it should actually be medium rare. Later there was a schnapps (3€) on the house. The fact that I had to return half of the food was not reflected in the price. There was no replacement either. So the Lohndorfer Bauern-Grill for €23.80 was excused with a €3 schnapps, nothing more. Paid a lot of money to go home hungry. With the high throughput of tourist groups, you can of course handle it that way, as most of them won't come back. Very unfortunate.

Great prices, great service that tries to make everything possible, rustic ambience and traditional and good food! It is advisable to make a reservation for lunch. The portions are generous, hearty and perfect Franconian home cooking! Gladly again!

Recommended by our hotel, we tried to reserve our lunch time but no spots were available until 2 days from now, so we decided to take our chances and show up. We waited 10-15 minutes to get anyone’s attention but they were able to seat us at the table with another couple. Wonderful place, great authentic food and service. English and Spanish speaking waiting staff helpful to tourists! Loved the food, the dessert and coffee as well. Highly recommend!

Make reservations!! Was a 30 minute wait in the cold but we we came for the Christmas markets (so our own fault). Fast turn around and managed to get a table for 3 for an hour and a half. Service was good, food was great and it was a true beerhall experience. Recommend

The food is very delicious. Now, the waitress who served us was very bad, in bad manners and without bringing the drink we ordered.

Very good food, and excellent service from a very friendly waitress who adapted a dish for us to be gluten-free. He also recommended a Rotbier, a red beer, and it was one of the best I've ever tried. We will return without a doubt.

Absolutely substandard service - the "boss" is absolutely unfriendly. I have been working in service for years and know what guest satisfaction means. The food, however, is super delicious! So if you insist on good food, a pleasant atmosphere and bad service, this is the place for you.

I know this is a tourist trap, but it’s a really good place. The food was excellent, service was friendly, and the beer was on point. Will be back.

Nice traditional place with a good selection of food (very generous portions) and drink. It gets incredibly busy, especially on weekends, so be prepared to share a table and eat quickly.

Six of us had dinner here and reserved a table from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. More on that later. The ambience is exactly how I imagine a hut to be. Quaint and cozy! The service was great, we always came by and asked if everything was OK, we never had to wait even though the hut was 90% full! The food is a dream, taste-wise, and the portions are huge too! Quality top! I'll definitely come back! Many people criticize the rejection you get when you're done eating! We made a reservation until 8 p.m., and at 7:45 p.m. the waiter asked if we wanted anything else, and reminded us that we had the table until 8 p.m., and asked if we wanted to pay! Where is the problem? Those who are bothered by it probably sit with mineral water for 2 hours. It didn't bother me. ***** stars

Dear Hüttn team, Normally I always like to come to you for the delicious schnitzel or cordon bleu with fries and a wheat cola, but today I would like to write a review for a completely different, special reason. Last Friday, after a nice walk, my girlfriend and I stopped at your place for a late lunch. When I was paying, something unexpected happened: my girlfriend had a ruptured bladder! And no, it wasn't because of the amount of the bill, but because of the big moment that was about to happen. I wanted to let you know that my little angel came into the world on the night from Friday to Saturday. It was the beginning of an unforgettable adventure and I am very grateful for your support. We have eaten wonderfully. We went to the place without a reservation, 4 people and 1 baby, and they assigned us a table without much wait. The food is exquisite, the speed and the service too. Recommended 100%

The Wirtshaus Hütt'n offers a cozy atmosphere, which is somewhat impaired by the narrowness. The unannounced placement at a table that was already occupied came as a surprise. The menu offers a good selection, with the suckling pig being particularly notable. The service was a bit rough at first, but improved as the evening progressed. There was quite a bit of chaos when changing tables, especially at 7:35 p.m. Overall, a nice restaurant with delicious food, but there is still room for improvement in terms of organization.
