Absolute disaster! Every village restaurant in the country is better than this shop and has a more appropriate quality when it comes to food... In terms of price, this "restaurant" is an absolute joke... So overpriced for what little you get... Had one ridiculous Camembert for 26 euros and a Schäufele that was far too dry for just under 20... The service also leaves a lot to be desired. I've never seen anything so bad in Nuremberg Not recommended (typical tourist trap)

Yesterday I was in business for the first time. Waitress super friendly and very attentive, came to the table again while eating and asked what was going on. I had a Schäufele with dumpling and a side salad. The Schäufele was buttery soft, the crust was nice and crispy, the dumpling was very tasty and the beer sauce was perfectly seasoned. I have never eaten a better Schäufele in Nuremberg and the surrounding area. Respect! The side salad with the dressing was also very tasty! I'd love to come back!

The vegetarian dish on the menu is awesome! I'm actually not a vegetarian at all, I just wanted to try a light alternative to the usual Schäufele or roast and in the end I was totally thrilled! The service is always attentive without being intrusive and there is good beer. Clear recommendation

Decent German food and beers. Ordered a roast pork and the skin was super crispy, meat was tender and well seasoned, and dark beer sauce was delicious. Bratwursts in the soup style were also yummy - expectations were low based on the presentation but don’t let that fool you!

Schon beim ersten Besuch fand ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis etwas verschoben. Gestern waren wir noch einmal da, jeder bekommt seine zweite Chance, aber das hat dem Ganzen den Rest gegeben. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, man sitzt schön und natürlich ist die Lage ausgezeichnet. Da hört es dann aber auf. Meine Tochter hat sich eine Suppe bestellt und auf die Frage, ob sie Brot dazu möchte, natürlich JA gesagt. Wir gehen üblicherweise davon aus, dass man zu Suppe mindestens eine Scheibe Brot an der Seite gereicht bekommt. Nicht hier : Es kam ein kleiner Metall-Brotkorb mit vier kleinen Scheiben Brot, die auf der Rechnung mit €3,20 vermerkt wurden. Ich hatte mir Spinatknödel bestellt und auf die unschuldige Frage, ob ich einen kleinen Beilagensalat dazu möchte, gerade noch die Kurve gekriegt, der hätte nämlich €5,50 gekostet. Die Spinatknödel waren geschmacklich fad und ihren Preis keinesfalls wert. Nein, eine dritte Chance gibt es nicht, das ist eine Touristenfalle.

“The Economy” impresses with a charming combination of modern ambience and traditional pub furnishings. The open kitchen in the entrance area is particularly impressive, allowing an inviting look behind the scenes. The Franconian dishes are authentic and lovingly prepared. Changing regional guest beers bring variety to the beer selection. The team is extremely friendly and creates a pleasant atmosphere that makes the visit a complete success.

Food: Very good, but average, unfortunately the prices are a bit high. A big plus, however, are the regional dishes that are represented on the menu, as well as the regional cuisine. Atmosphere: The tables are very close together, resulting in little privacy. Could you redesign something? Overall: An average restaurant, but the local food is a bright spot and tastes excellent too! You can definitely enjoy the evening with a delicious dinner there, especially you are right in the city center.

Todo sobre este lugar era excelente. El servicio era amable, su propia cerveza era deliciosa, la comida salió rápidamente, nunca se sintió apresurado (que pasa mucho como un viajero / cena en solitario) , y la comida en sí era increíble. Tenía entrante de queso limburger (de alguna manera lo hacían menos apestoso e incluso más delicioso) y jamón con albóndigas y col roja. Las porciones eran muy generosas y la piel de cerdo crujiente era la estrella. Me alegro de que mi hotel recomendó este lugar vs los otros lugares más turísticos - trampa en el centro de la ciudad.

An insider tip for a great Advent meal - despite the huge crowds in the city! In contrast to the other restaurants in the tourist zone, the restaurant still had a table free. The seasonal offerings of roast goose and sauerkraut were excellent, the waiting time was very reasonable, the service was extremely friendly, the atmosphere in the packed room was cheerful but not exuberant, the toilet was absolutely clean... What more could you want!

Best meal of our trip was here! Traditional Franconian food with a modern twist. The spinach dumplings were a highlight, sausages with sauerkraut and fresh horseradish were amazing and everything pickled was so good! The atmosphere was fun and lively. Nuestra experiencia fue excelente. Server inmediatamente explicó lo que podía y no podía tener y observó la sustitución del pan gf con salchichas. Tenía las salchichas de Nuremberg, chucrut caliente, mostaza y pan sin gluten. Me recordaron de nuevo sobre el pan gf cuando se entregó mi comida. Toda la comida era excelente, mis 3 compañeros de comedor tenían una variedad de otros artículos y estuvieron de acuerdo en que el lugar era un gran hallazgo. Haga una reserva si puede, o trate de salirse del pico.

We were here spontaneously in the afternoon before the Christmas market opening. The atmosphere is cozy and modern at the same time, and the service is friendly. Our food was served quickly and tasted very good, especially the horseradish with the sausages. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Nuremberg :)

I have been living in Germany for 8 months, I come from Spain, and as a tourist and now as a resident, I must say that this is the German restaurant that I have liked the most so far, its dishes are typical German but modernized or "updated" so to speak. . It's not overly expensive compared to other places I've eaten. The restaurant is very elegant and the waitresses who served us were really friendly. I will return without hesitation.

I went because it was recommended by my accommodation, and it was quite good. I stayed here for two days and went there twice for dinner. Leckeres Freidler oder Rotbier, mal was Neues, passte gut zum Essen. Insgesamt sehr gutes Preis-Leistung Niveau, nur ein paar Schritte vom Hauptmarkt entfernt.

Tasty Franconian cuisine in a nice atmosphere! The staff speaks English and the portions are quite generous. One thing I would maybe comment on are the chairs, they felt a bit uncomfortable after sitting on them for a while - otherwise, totally recommend!

We had amazing food in here! Very tasty meat with dumplings and red cabbage; and the portion was huge! We did not have a reservation on Saturday evening and they still managed to find a table for us. The staff was quite nice and offered to speak English to us, which we appreciated. While the guy we spoke to looked happy and smiling, some other members of the staff looked somewhat bored, which made the atmosphere a bit less nice. Still, 5 stars from me!

The food was good, the beer too, but a bit expensive at €5.50. Unfortunately the service was subpar. With only five tables occupied, you've already lost track of things. Two couples who came after us were allowed to order beforehand. Everyone was served before us too. My request for a little more sauce for the sauerbraten was accepted, but only brought about 10 minutes later (lukewarm), when the food had already gotten cold. Too bad 🙁

Vicinissimo a piazza mercato questo locale molto essenziale e luminosissimo, almeno di giorno (ci siamo stati per pranzo), propone piatti tipici del territorio preparati al momento e soprattutto gustosi. Ottimo il servizio e prezzi nella norma. Consigliatissimo.

I was curious about Franken cuisine, so I searched and found this place. The sausages were small, but I ate both boiled and grilled ones, and they tasted different. The pork shoulder dish was tender and well seasoned and the fat was not greasy, so I was able to eat it without feeling burdened. If you are looking for Franken cuisine, I recommend visiting here for a special experience.

I had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. We were greeted by a sign telling us that only cash payment was possible on that day. Which is unfortunate but okay, understandable. I went through the trouble of making reservations in advance but when I mentioned we had reservations we were told it wasn't working and they didn't know about our reservations (I had a confirmation email). Luckily we got a table. The menu felt very small compared to what I saw on the website or based on the pictures in Google maps. And after we finally ordered something we waited for 45 minutes to be told that the dishes we ordered (from the daily recommendation on the wall) were not available and would still take some time. In the end we waited over an hour for our food which was good but the experience was just very bad and we barely got an apology for it. Not sure I'll stop by again. It's not as if the place was cheap to make up for this catastrophic service. The place itself is very welcoming and well decorated

Serendipity! Came in here to escape the cold and ended up having one of the best meals we had during our Germany vacation. The pork shoulder was tender and excellently seasoned, highly recommended. Great restaurant with very nice and child-friendly staff and great cuisine!! We went there for dinner as a family. The portion size is completely ok, maybe not as huge as in classic Franconian restaurants, but the quality is top notch. I had the Schäufele and it is really as great as described in other reviews. The highlight was certainly the dessert: bee sting reinterpreted. The homemade honey ice cream was amazing, great cooking! The hazelnut brandy was also a real insider tip! You can tell that you truly do your craft and business out of love! Keep it up!!

Before my wife wanted to reserve a table, she asked an employee to be allowed to use the toilets on the morning of August 20th. This was refused to her, with the statement: “Unfortunately no, we have to clean the toilet ourselves!”

Very tasty food and nice, quick service. For those who are gluten-free, the Nurembergers are ideal with sauerkraut and a side salad. Unfortunately very small portions. The sauerkraut portion is very small.

An economy located in the middle of Nuremberg. The atmosphere in the city center is of course very nice. The menu allows for a small but varied selection. The taste of the food is very tasty, there is little to complain about. However, the portions are a little small for my taste for the rather high price. I have to say that the economy is not suitable for me for regular visits, as it puts a lot of strain on my wallet in the long run. However, the regularly changing beer selection is a plus point that should not be overlooked for beer lovers.

My family was a guest and we chose “the restaurant” on Waaggasse for our lunch. What can I say? The trout fillet was perfect and the two Schäuferla were perfect. Baked crispy with a nice layer of fat and the meat was incredibly tender and very juicy. The restaurant is simple and modern, the staff is well-coordinated and very friendly. What I find very positive (because it is very rarely found on pub menus): the Kulmbacher Edelherb 0.0 is a real alcohol-free, sugar-free, very enjoyable beer on the menu.

The food tasted good, the pearl barley risotto was very good, a few more chanterelles wouldn't have hurt. Unfortunately, service becomes increasingly slower as the evening progresses.

Mein 3. Besuch und leider musste ich feststellen hat für mich sehr nachgelassen. Die Preise sind vermutlich für Nürnberg normal teuer! Leider bekam mein Weizen keinen Schaum an was es lag ? Das Schäuferla hatte leider eine Gummikruste wenn man von Kruste reden kann. Ansonsten war das Menue mit Saibling gut mir schmeckte nur das Dressing zum Limburger gar nicht hat nicht gepasst zumindest für mich nicht, ich kenne es nur mit Essig und Öl und nicht gelb.

My 3rd visit and unfortunately I found that things had slowed down a lot for me. The prices are probably normal for Nuremberg! Unfortunately my wheat didn't get any foam. What was it lying on? Unfortunately, the Schäuferla had a rubbery crust, if you can call it a crust. Otherwise, the menu with char was good, I just didn't like the dressing for the Limburger at all, it wasn't right, at least not for me, I only know it with vinegar and oil and not yellow.

We stopped by spontaneously and got a table outside. The ambience is okay, but you can sit nicer on the market square a few meters away. The food is very tasty and of good quality, but the portions are manageable considering the price. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic. I ordered a beer, which unfortunately was at more ambient temperature. When I mentioned it, I was given a carafe of ice water to cool. Unfortunately that doesn't help at all. I had it returned and ordered a new one (different type), which unfortunately was just as warm. When the food arrived, the cutlery and two orders were still missing. We had to point out everything several times, even the missing cutlery. When I was asked for a tip at the end, I was a bit speechless. Conclusion: kitchen crew great, service crew mediocre.

Very attentive service and cute and funny designed menu. The decor was modern and simple, suitable for dates or small families. The Schäufele was unfortunately sold out, but the Franconian Würste we had as replacement tasted tender. Spinatknödel wrapped in Parmesan was also very tasty.

We went there on a busy day and it took a little while to get our order, but as soon as that was done, everything went smoothly. I always appreciate restaurants that don't use frozen foods. Beer tasted great. Food looked good and tasted awesome.

We waited 15 minutes and didn't even get a menu, while the neighboring table, who arrived at the same time as us, already received drinks. The waiter walked past us twice and simply ignored us. Just because we are foreigners? We just left after that. Never again.

The roasted pork shoulder has crispy skin and tender meat and is very delicious. The potato balls are also good, recommended! In addition, because there were so many bees on the outdoor tables, the waiters helped light coffee powder to drive them away.

After I ordered the food it didn't come out even after an hour. We asked several times but they just said they would be coming out soon. Then suddenly it said that the order could not be placed due to a system problem. They didn't apologize and simply told me to wait or leave if I ordered now. I had a truly absurd experience.
