Restored my faith in the German cuisine! Short menu, to the point and everything in it is extremely well done. Very delicious food in a very friendly environment.

An absolute must try in Nuremberg! Amazing food, great location and nice ambiance. Love thier salad, sausages, fish and the dessert was exceptional! Highly recommended place.

Great restaurant with very nice and child-friendly staff and great cuisine!! We went there for dinner as a family. The portion size is completely ok, maybe not as huge as in classic Franconian restaurants, but the quality is top notch. I had the Schäufele and it is really as great as described in other reviews. The highlight was certainly the dessert: bee sting reinterpreted. The homemade honey ice cream was amazing, great cooking! The hazelnut brandy was also a real insider tip! You can tell that you truly do your craft and business out of love! Keep it up!!

Delicious Franconian tappas and a glass of wine. Gladly again!

Before my wife wanted to reserve a table, she asked an employee to be allowed to use the toilets on the morning of August 20th. This was refused to her, with the statement: “Unfortunately no, we have to clean the toilet ourselves!”

Very tasty food and nice, quick service. For those who are gluten-free, the Nurembergers are ideal with sauerkraut and a side salad. Unfortunately very small portions. The sauerkraut portion is very small.

An economy located in the middle of Nuremberg. The atmosphere in the city center is of course very nice. The menu allows for a small but varied selection. The taste of the food is very tasty, there is little to complain about. However, the portions are a little small for my taste for the rather high price. I have to say that the economy is not suitable for me for regular visits, as it puts a lot of strain on my wallet in the long run. However, the regularly changing beer selection is a plus point that should not be overlooked for beer lovers.

My family was a guest and we chose “the restaurant” on Waaggasse for our lunch. What can I say? The trout fillet was perfect and the two Schäuferla were perfect. Baked crispy with a nice layer of fat and the meat was incredibly tender and very juicy. The restaurant is simple and modern, the staff is well-coordinated and very friendly. What I find very positive (because it is very rarely found on pub menus): the Kulmbacher Edelherb 0.0 is a real alcohol-free, sugar-free, very enjoyable beer on the menu.

Came here for lunch and loved it. Salad was superb so was the trout, very healthy and tasty. Recommended

Spectacular, very good option to eat in the historic center of Nuremberg. Traditional food from the region (Franconia) with a modern touch. Very good attention and service. The regional salad is highly recommended.

The food tasted good, the pearl barley risotto was very good, a few more chanterelles wouldn't have hurt. Unfortunately, service becomes increasingly slower as the evening progresses.

Mein 3. Besuch und leider musste ich feststellen hat für mich sehr nachgelassen. Die Preise sind vermutlich für Nürnberg normal teuer! Leider bekam mein Weizen keinen Schaum an was es lag ? Das Schäuferla hatte leider eine Gummikruste wenn man von Kruste reden kann. Ansonsten war das Menue mit Saibling gut mir schmeckte nur das Dressing zum Limburger gar nicht hat nicht gepasst zumindest für mich nicht, ich kenne es nur mit Essig und Öl und nicht gelb.

My 3rd visit and unfortunately I found that things had slowed down a lot for me. The prices are probably normal for Nuremberg! Unfortunately my wheat didn't get any foam. What was it lying on? Unfortunately, the Schäuferla had a rubbery crust, if you can call it a crust. Otherwise, the menu with char was good, I just didn't like the dressing for the Limburger at all, it wasn't right, at least not for me, I only know it with vinegar and oil and not yellow.

We stopped by spontaneously and got a table outside. The ambience is okay, but you can sit nicer on the market square a few meters away. The food is very tasty and of good quality, but the portions are manageable considering the price. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic. I ordered a beer, which unfortunately was at more ambient temperature. When I mentioned it, I was given a carafe of ice water to cool. Unfortunately that doesn't help at all. I had it returned and ordered a new one (different type), which unfortunately was just as warm. When the food arrived, the cutlery and two orders were still missing. We had to point out everything several times, even the missing cutlery. When I was asked for a tip at the end, I was a bit speechless. Conclusion: kitchen crew great, service crew mediocre.

Small menu but tasty local dishes We had 3 different dishes all good. Lots of acids, pickled vegetables and sauerkraut. Spinach dumplings are highly recommended. The only downside is that you are allowed to smoke on the terrace

Very attentive service and cute and funny designed menu. The decor was modern and simple, suitable for dates or small families. The Schäufele was unfortunately sold out, but the Franconian Würste we had as replacement tasted tender. Spinatknödel wrapped in Parmesan was also very tasty.

We went there on a busy day and it took a little while to get our order, but as soon as that was done, everything went smoothly. I always appreciate restaurants that don't use frozen foods. Beer tasted great. Food looked good and tasted awesome.

Best fine dining restaurant in Nürnberg.

We waited 15 minutes and didn't even get a menu, while the neighboring table, who arrived at the same time as us, already received drinks. The waiter walked past us twice and simply ignored us. Just because we are foreigners? We just left after that. Never again.

Very good service and tasty food

The roasted pork shoulder has crispy skin and tender meat and is very delicious. The potato balls are also good, recommended! In addition, because there were so many bees on the outdoor tables, the waiters helped light coffee powder to drive them away.

As a "Nuremberger" I wanted to go to "Die Wirtschaft" again when the weather was nice because the location was great and you can sit nicely. Unfortunately I was very disappointed today. The service was so subpar and there were also some cheeky comments! The prices are really high, but you have to pay that in the middle of the city. I'm definitely not going there anymore!!!!!! Unfortunately, I no longer recommend it. Too bad!

When the weather is good, you can sit comfortably outside and eat the delicious food. The service staff are very nice, the waiting time is short and the food was very tasty.

Nice modern restaurant offering traditional menu. The shoulder was very well cooked and served as the traditions mandate.

After I ordered the food it didn't come out even after an hour. We asked several times but they just said they would be coming out soon. Then suddenly it said that the order could not be placed due to a system problem. They didn't apologize and simply told me to wait or leave if I ordered now. I had a truly absurd experience.

As a native of Franconia, I have to admit that I ate my best Schäuferle here in the restaurant. The quality of the ingredients couldn't be better. The staff were extremely accommodating and I felt very comfortable.

Very good Schäufele in a modern atmosphere. We were guests in “Die Wirtschaft” as a larger group based on a recommendation. Centrally located within sight of the main market – easily accessible! Modern, young atmosphere that still invites you to sit comfortably. The beer garden also offers enough space at the tables for larger groups. The service is very friendly and really quick. Requests, such as a new round of drinks when the glasses were almost empty, were recognized and requested in good time - a rarity these days. The food came early despite being quite busy. The dish of the day, fried broccoli, was a bit small in portions, but in the end it was sufficient in combination with an extra salad. The cheese spaetzle, on the other hand, was portioned just right and seasoned almost perfectly. The highlight and the clear recommendation from me is the Schäufele! Perfect crust, tender meat, big dumplings and a delicious sauce! The house beer (Freidla) was also really good. Drinkable and good in taste (slightly hoppy). You'll happily drink more than one glass :) The price is a little higher, but justified by the clean atmosphere, the great service and the excellent food! The toilets are well maintained and clean. The restaurant is barrier-free!

Very tasty - fresh, regional and something different. The Schäufele croquette is recommended, as is the very good sauerkraut and the fresh horseradish with the Nurembergs. We would be happy to come back the next time we visit Nuremberg.

A very pleasant and great restaurant. I spontaneously met up with a school friend here to enjoy a beer. At some point we also ate something and then, since the food was so excellent, we entered into a Schäuferle eating competition. This was then perfectly supported by the kitchen and staff, meaning supplies were provided throughout without delay. The entire staff is warm and well organized. Recommended at any time!

Typical Franconian (and hearty) cuisine. The dishes make a fresh impression. Everything was tasty, some things just take a little getting used to for the North German palate. The service is quick and very friendly, can respond well to intolerances and asks in the kitchen if necessary.

It was my first experience with Franken food, which is very unfamiliar to Koreans. It was my first time seeing fried pork, and it had a really unfamiliar taste and aroma, but I could tell it was a very well-made dish. The sausage was a very reasonable size and plump and delicious. The server was very pleasant and friendly, so I had a great feeling about my first Franken cuisine, and it made me want to know more about Franken cuisine.

Super good restaurant, you COULD also eat little things... so-called Gutzerla. Unfortunately, these are only available in combination with Hsupt food. Complete rip-off! The food is super expensive. But good. However, it has slowed down a bit. Possibly a change in cook... in any case, I'll rarely go in from now on. I usually had two small dishes. The waiters (waitresses) also pushed us a bit to get it done and asked us umpteen times if we wanted anything else.. well, everyone is focused on profit.. the flair is definitely gone!!!!! What I forgot is that there are almost no desserts anymore... what there is isn't great!!!! Everything is just of marginal value!!!!

The food was good, but the prices reflect the central location rather than the quantity on the plates. The portions are sometimes manageable. The preparation is also ok. For example, some of my Baggers were too dark and had more roasted aromas than was good for them. However, the service was very attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant's seating has something of a school camp or canteen. But fine for a snack while shopping. For a nice dinner, there are definitely better alternatives in downtown Nuremberg.

Furnished down to earth. You feel good. Fair prices for the city center. Very attentive and courteous service with humor. Be sure to try the Schäufele. Very tasty, like the local beer!

Very good “Franconian tapas”. Service sometimes a bit sleepy, but manageable

2 steps from Fontana Bella, they offer typical dishes and have gluten free options (gluten free is difficult to find in Nuremberg) I ate the sausages and side dishes and I wasn't sick afterwards so I assume there was no cross contamination. They were very kind and knowledgeable, they knew how to help me and even brought some gluten-free bread on the side. The price is fair compared to the location and the food offered (2 of us had 2 second courses, 1 side dish, 1 well-made coffee, a dessert, 2 cokes and they also brought free bread for a total of €46, an excellent price)

I ate the most delicious Schäuferle so far here. Really pure quality. The slightly higher price is absolutely ok for the location and quality of the food. The restaurant offers a changing, slightly cheaper lunch menu. The service was very friendly and always within reach! Gladly again!

Best tasting sausages in Germany. Our only regret was not ordering a larger order. We came to Nürnberg on tour and the tour guide only gave us 1 hour for lunch. Opened Google Maps and went straight to the nearest highest rated restaurant. Was not disappointed. Later I found out it was also recommended by my friend who also lives in Germany.

Best Schäufele so far! Super tender, well seasoned, delicious crust. The Nuremberg grilled sausages are also highly recommended. It's easy to miss the place if, like us, you expect a traditional pub. From the outside it looks modern and sober. At the same time, there is very good Franconian cuisine here. Just try it out! :)

Great restaurant in the old town of Nuremberg, just below the castle. There aren't many tables, so reservations are recommended, otherwise you can eat outside (weather permitting) or at the large bar right in front of the kitchen. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to the guests, but the most notable thing is undoubtedly the quality of the food: simply more than excellent!

Restaurants like this get 5 stars. Everything was really right: the service was attentive and magical, the food was very tasty and the ambience was lovingly thought out. 😍 When I'm back in Nuremberg, I'll be there again. Without question.

I had the most amazing dinner at this place. The restaurant was fully booked, so the waiter seated me at the bar next to the open kitchen. I could see the food being cooked in front of my eyes. Beautiful design, delicious food, smiley, and welcoming waiters. I had baked camamber (very good), local sausages with cabbage, a salad, and a desert. High-quality food made of ingredients from local farmers. Definitely recommending!

Were for a day trip in Nuremberg. We actually expected the old town to be a highlight, but the main attraction of the day was the visit to the inn. The food was excellent, the overall package was a real feel-good experience!

I've just finished lunch in this lovely restaurant in the heart of Nuremberg's old town. Service is effortless, yet professional and efficient. Both servers have been charming and very forgiving of my rusty German. The location is fantastic - very close to the Kaiserburg, main square, Albrecht Dürer's house and the medieval dungeons. The surroundings are also very picturesque and were it any warmer, it would have been fantastic to eat outside. This is a must if you plan to visit Nuremberg.

Small menu, plus daily special, not the usual, which I think is very good! Very tasty cooked and attractively presented, friendly, smiling service, very reduced furnishings, would love to come back.

We spontaneously got a table here on Friday evening and were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner, which is not so easy in downtown Nuremberg and on the weekend. What struck us particularly positively was the young, very friendly and courteous waiter. Help is also provided here with the Franconian/German translation. Very patient, despite a full house. The food was good. Classic Franconian specialties, but something for everyone. The location has a cozy atmosphere, modern with traditional elements. Conclusion: We would definitely come back, even if we prefer Italian and Japanese cuisine when we eat out.

In this restaurant it is part of the "policy" not to cancel interested guests directly on the phone, even if there are no more tables available, but to lure them here ("Just come by") and then send them away on the spot... that's it for the staff to foresee that no table would be available for yesterday's Saturday evening when no more reservations could be accepted and the bar was full of waiting guests (we saw that on site). Such a policy is a complete waste of time for staff and guests who head to the restaurant hungry only to be turned away again. It's a shame, the restaurant looked very nice and tasty. It's best to only show up there with a prior reservation to avoid disappointment and extreme hunger :) PS: I don't have to have spent any money there to be "eligible" for a review. It's also part of the restaurant's approach to treating potential guests. We had called 15 minutes before arrival on the evening in question, so it was VERY CERTAIN that we wouldn't be able to get a table. The bar was so full of waiting guests that more were just standing around on the coat hooks.

Ottimo cibo anche Gluten free , per provare piatti tradizionali senza pensieri, servizio veloce, personale molto gentile, sono celiaca e lo staff mi ha indicato chiaramente i piatti che potevo scegliere e ha annotato le eventuali modifiche del caso, ho provato 3 piatti tipici, salsicce , pancakes di patate con crema di funghi e involtini di bacon e formaggio di capra, tutto ottimo compreso il pane senza glutine che mi è stato portato caldo ❤️ consigliato

Zentral gelegen, direkt beim Hauptmarkt, sehr gut erreichbar. Das Essen ist, so wie ich verstanden habe, eine moderne Interpretation klassischer, fränkischer Spezialisten. Habe nicht super viel erwartet, aber ich war sehr positiv überrascht - alle Gerichte waren gleichzeitig traditionell, modern und mega lecker! Hatte Mittagsmenü mit einer Vorspeise aus Brokkoli und Käse, Gulasch als Hauptspeise und Käse mit Marmelade als "Nachspeise". Alles war so gut, dass ich mich nicht entscheiden kann was besser war 😄 Also - empfehle ich sehr, besonders das tägliche Mittagsmenü 👌

Nice Franconian restaurant in the city centre of Nuremberg. Nice idea of share plates so could try various things. The pickled veggies were delicious, the bacon wrapped goats cheese and pork croquettes - yum! Can also choose from heartier main meals per person too e.g. sausages, pork shoulder etc. Definitely try the red beer it is delicious. Wine list quite short. The service was excellent and welcoming and we could bring our dog too :)

Wir waren zum Mittagessen da und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist zentral gelegen und man hat schön gesessen. Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und es war alles sehr lecker.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Preise sind schon gehoben, aber der Service spricht für das Lokal. Die Bedienungen und die Restaurantleiterin sind sehr zuvorkommend. Mit Kindern wird geflirtet, sprechen mit ausländischen Gästen Englisch und sind sehr auf das Gästewohl bedacht... Auch Tischwünsche werden - sofern möglich berücksichtigt - und auch wenn es "nur" Hunde sind, wird für deren Wohl gesorgt und eine Schüssel Wasser bereitgestellt. Einfach rundherum nichts zu bemängeln. 👍👍👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wert

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Unser Trip nach Nürnberg war nur deswegen unvergesslich, wir haben lange nicht mehr soooo gut gegessen. Wir schwärmen heute noch vom „Schäuffele“ Gericht.

Ich kann nur empfehlen auch an der Bar Platz zu nehmen. Es ist ein toller Blick in die Küche und der Kollege an der Bar sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist ein Traum! Mit so viel Kreativität zubereitet und geschmacklich die Nürnberger Küche sehr würdig vertreten. Wir kommen, als Familie wieder! Selbst mein Sohn bedankte sich persönlich beim Koch und gab ein Lob an das gesamte Team. Zurecht. Ich sage … bis bald!

Freundlicher Empfang, hervorragender Service seitens des Personals. Die bestellte Vorspeise wurde bereits nach 5 Minuten serviert und die Hauptspeise nach weiteren 15min. Das Essen ist überdurchschnittlich gut, der Service ebenfalls, die Preise sind gehoben was gerechtfertigt ist. Einziges Manko: etwas mehr Auswahl an Gerichten und Abwechslung würde gut tun. Eine klare Empfehlung!

6 angebrannte Nürnberger Rostbratwürstchen ist hoffentlich nicht das Aushängeschild von Nürnberg. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht vom Essen! Das Sauerkraut war gut, aber ingesamt für das einfache Essen noch viel zu teuer…

Sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Bedienung. Leckeres Essen und Espresso wie er sein muss und man ihn in Italien nicht besser bekommen kann. Zubereitung und Menge ist perfekt. Preise normal und nicht überzogen.
