Great quaint restaurant, in a beautiful location. We made a reservation at short notice, the boss was super nice and, since we only had a small table at first, she later gave us a larger table. The food was very good and large portions at very fair prices! What is particularly worth mentioning is that you feel very welcome here, and at the end there was even a “Schnäpsle”. This is a rarity these days. If we are in Nuremberg again we will definitely eat here again!

Zum Flößla is a rustic inn in the middle of downtown Nuremberg. Food: Here you can find hearty home cooking at fair prices. The portions are large, the food tastes delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was a real highlight. Unfortunately there is hardly any choice for vegetarians and vegans, which is not up to date. Service: Super nice service, even the boss asked about our well-being. After a small mishap we were given a round of schnapps. The only negative point is the expectations, it was said that the Kaiserschmarrn lasts half an hour and in the end it turned out to be over an hour. Ambiance: Super rustic, cozy, Franconian. A real original, you immediately feel at home.

Just came to Flößla by chance. The ambience and food were very good. The junior manager was so convincing when it came to service. That we ordered a table with 3 Schäufele for the next day 👍.

The selection of dishes could be a little larger. It was tasty nonetheless. I would come again.

Clocky restaurant with delicious food. Highly recommended. The food tastes very tasty and the service is very friendly. Fresh cooking is also done here and the schnitzel is pounded by hand. The two of us were lucky to get a table without a reservation on Friday evening. But that was really just a coincidence. Unfortunately, everyone else after us and also callers were no longer so lucky. Therefore reserve at times.

I would have really liked to give full marks, the atmosphere is great, the service staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, but my Schäufele was crispy. Well, it can always happen, generally it tasted great, the crust was great, the sauce was right and the dumpling was great too, only the Schäufele itself was really too dry or in the oven for too long or kept warm or something like that. I had to use a knife and fork to pry the crispy meat off the bone because I couldn't get it off any other way. I mean it was there in 2 minutes after ordering, so I thought "very quickly, as if it was already ready". The Schäufele from the neighbor's table looked juicy and the meat fell off the bone nicely, I guess I was nervous about that, I'll visit you again soon to test it out.

Great place with great hosts and good, simple German (sorry Franconian) food

I was rather skeptical, the restaurant seemed small and the view into the small kitchen worried me at first, but what I got to eat was simply great. Delicious schnitzel, which was super tender and nice and crispy on the outside. The fried potatoes have a nice bite and are also damn tasty. Very happy again!!!

Great little Franconian restaurant, with a small garden and very good food. They move very quickly and are attentive. Food tastes very good. Portions are not generous but absolutely sufficient.

I don't know how this restaurant is so well rated. I had the pfifferlinge (chanterelle mushroom) with potato and scrumble eggs. The mushrooms were completely tasteless. The "roasted" potato also were not so good. I like them soft inside and crunchy outside, they were just soft, as if not completely roasted. The dark beer was completely tasteless. I must recognize at least that the service was really good, people were nice and efficient.

Even without a reservation, we received a very friendly welcome and were looked after throughout the evening. The food was very good and the location is also very nice. Nice place with nice people. The old town as such is also worth seeing - invites you to linger.

We had a wonderful evening at Flößla yesterday! The food was so excellent that even though I was full, I asked for a second helping! The food is all freshly prepared, the quality is excellent and the service is attentive and funny! We felt really welcome and will definitely come back! We were allowed to leave on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. (July, summer weather) because the kitchen was closed. That's sad for urban tourism in a big city, so we'll be unpacking our own sandwiches the next time we visit Nuremberg.

We didn't have a reservation. But a nice place was still found for us. The service is great, the small area for sitting outside has been lovingly decorated. The food was very good. I can fully recommend the restaurant.

We were in Nuremberg for the Bardenfest and ate, drank and people-watched at “Zum Flössla”. There was great food and delicious beer there. But the best are the landlady and the head waiter. They are really sweet, attentive and stay calm even in the hustle and bustle. It wasn't the last time we were there!!!

This place was amazing. The food was wonderful, the waitress was friendly and helpful. My daughter was given a child portion which is good for her. My son loved the food so much he demolished an adult size portion. And all for a very reasonable price. The place was pretty busy, and it isn’t big so I bet it gets full quickly. There is outside seating, but the interior is beautiful. If you are in Nuremberg and do not visit place then you really have missed out.

A rustic Franconian restaurant in a top location but away from the crowds. It's worth making a reservation. Service was very friendly and the food (Schäufele) was a dream. Definitely try it out.

Great, rustic German cuisine. Our order came super quickly and tasted great! We had the Kaiserschmarren and the Ochsencheeks. The landlady exudes a wonderfully familiar charm, we felt very comfortable here and can recommend a visit.

Cozy, warm atmosphere and amazing food. Order the slow roasted pork shoulder, you won't be disappointed. Schnitzel cordon bleu was also fantastic.

My Schäufele was extremely tender and really tasty. There was no room for a dessert, but grandma's homemade one was good too. The service is consistently attentive and friendly. What I personally didn't like was the toilet. They are clean, but already showing their age and do not fit the otherwise very rustic atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

We happened to walk past this restaurant on the way back to the nearby parking garage. Since my partner and I were both very hungry, we asked for a table in the small covered outdoor area. The waiter was very attentive and super friendly, informed us about the daily specials that were not on the regular menu, and was very attentive throughout the evening. We decided on the Schäufele and a Wiener Schnitzel. The Schäufele was actually ordered with fried potatoes, but then came with a dumpling. The waiter immediately apologized and offered to take the dish back and change it. But then I stuck with the dumpling and didn't regret it. All in all, we were very impressed with both the food and the service!

If you don't speak English or German, I think it's better not to go. Since I can't speak English, I cut off the conversation while taking my order. Scheufele showing a photo?? I ordered one, but they explained it in English, but I couldn't understand it, so I said I could order it anyway. But at this time, the order was not finished. I ordered two types of beer one by one (as pointed out on the menu), but there was only one beer at the end, right? Then I tried to say on the menu again that there were two, but he just turned around and walked away. I couldn't even say anything about the schnitzel yet, so I went in and tried to talk to them, but they said that the order had already been placed. Are we Scheufele? I was going to order one schnitzel. I only got two Scheufele and two lagers. It's been a long time since I've had such an unpleasant experience while traveling. As I watched, he listened well to what other people were saying, but he didn't even care to listen to what we were trying to say, so he just kept talking. I don't think it's racism, but I try to think that I was treated this way because of my language. Anyway, I've been traveling for 3 weeks now and this was the worst experience of my trip.

The bald waiter's attitude is terrible. They didn't listen to the order in detail, just walked away on their own, didn't come out as ordered, and their facial expressions were very unpleasant. Don't go to places with waiters like this.

Small restaurant, defenitely need to reserve but it is worth it. They have traditional bavarian food but it is super delicious and the waiters/owners are super friendly and funny! One of them even spoke some french. They also have an outdoor seating area. Would always recommend coming here for a traditional regional experience, especially for Schäufele (pork shoulder which is famous in that region).

The food was delicious, the service was a bit disorganized as we probably hadn't expected so many guests, with the weather being beautiful. What was a bit unpleasant was that we spent 30 minutes. Before the subsequent reservation actually had the table, they were already asked to leave the table because they had made a mistake with the time. We had finished eating but had ordered drinks. We still cleared the table and thought that as a small thank you they would give us the last drink on the house. We found it a bit weak, but still a quaint restaurant with good food.

Average food. If you're a "beer snob" and are insist the beer is served in the correct glass, this is not a place for you. A Helles beer was served in a Dunkel glass - sacrilege!

I had seen this restaurant on a YouTube travel video and marked it down to try during our trip. Our entire experience was amazing, from start to finish. We walked in, and they found a table for us without reservation (make reservations). The hostess was so accommodating and welcoming. The entire restaurant took you back to a German tavern hundreds of years ago. The chef even came out and met us, and everyone was so friendly. This is where the locals go, because they know how amazing it is. I ordered the Cordon Bleu schnitzel that was absolutely unbelievable. I don't ever want to eat schnitzel another way again. My wife ordered the Rahmschnitzel and said it was the greatest meal she has ever had in her life. She could drink that sauce. I will try very hard to make it for her back home, but I know I'll fail compared to how amazing this sauce was. This restaurant and the chef should be on worldwide cooking shows and famous. Our most favorite restaurant in all of Germany! And I absolutely need to note: I had the Kuchlbauer Weisse, and it was possibly the best beer I have ever had in my life. I actually emailed the brewery that night asking if it's possible to get it in the U.S., but they responded that it's not. Top notch experience in every way, and thank you ladies for everything!

We were at Flößla in Nuremberg for the first time on Saturday. Luckily we had reserved, otherwise it would have been difficult to find a seat in the very busy restaurant. The boss seemed a bit stressed, but was still extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty. We especially liked the good salad dressing. Prices are completely reasonable for the portions... Unfortunately it has become more expensive everywhere. The location is very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is absolutely great... Very rustic and tasteful. You immediately feel comfortable. We recommend. We were completely satisfied.

The bald waiter has a very arrogant manner. I ordered a small apple spritzer and a small grape juice spritzer for my children. When I ordered the second small spritzer he said condescendingly: Oh God!! (Apparently because we are too greedy for him not to order the large spritzers). I then asked him if it wasn't common for people to order small spritzers for the children and he replied that this is very rarely ordered. (I assume because the menu only lists large spritzers and of course that makes more money) Everyone can now decide for themselves whether they find that arrogant. In any case, I have never heard such a comment from a waiter. Overall, however, the food was quite good. A little tip if you're cooking a Spanish omelette: This is an omelette that isn't whipped together with potatoes and chorizo ​​sausage and not with mixed vegetables. Comprendes?? A cozy, rustic restaurant with a beautiful dining room. All dishes were delicious and of the best quality. The boss and her excellent employee were always present without being intrusive, very friendly and accommodating. We felt completely comfortable and had a very nice time. Highly Recommended.

Since we recently discovered Flößla, we have been going there regularly when we are in Nuremberg. The service is super attentive and friendly, the location is ultra cozy and rustic, and the food - fresh and homemade - is fantastic every time!
