Old-established Franconian restaurant. Food (drinker with giant toilets) very good.

Summary: Dogs are welcome and children are not, mass-produced food, unfriendly service and poor hygiene/cleanliness. We ate at Müllers for the first time in December 2024 and I have to say that I can by no means confirm the positive reviews! The waitresses and the boss were unfriendly - especially to children. For example, there is no children's menu or simple "special requests" for, for example, pasta with Parmesan could not be fulfilled. Even with a dry slice of bread so that the child could get something to eat, the waitresses were initially overloaded. The interior is ancient and extremely dirty. In the toilets, a women's toilet cannot be locked, the light in the cubicle was broken and the floor was flooded because the ancient sink already had a number of cracks. The water runs along the wall below the pool. In general, the sanitary facilities smell very strongly of urine. No water runs in the urinals when you want to flush. There is no changing table. In the foyer the dust is as thick as a finger on the battered furniture, the carpet is dirty, stained and sometimes sticky. The food (Schäufele & Klos) grade 6 because the meat was tough, the rind wasn't crispy, the dumplings were mass produced. The turkey breast was unseasoned and drowned in ready-made gravy with canned mushrooms. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant and with carpet -> hygiene is generally very poor! There are also broken glass and leftover food on the floor. At the end I was jostled very unpleasantly with a small child in my arms (no apology and the restaurant wasn't full). Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to prove the poor condition. Disgusting and not recommended if you have a little demand for quality and cleanliness.

Went there again for dinner yesterday. So I can only recommend it and it tastes really delicious. Tip from us: call ahead for space. Keep it up and stay the way you are!! Top top top

Service and food was very tasty. The toilet is mega big.

December 25th, 2024 with 9 people. 4 Schäuferle, hard and chewy, the crust was soft and the sauce was out of a bucket, so you couldn't even eat the toilet with the bucket sauce. Roulades hard and chewy, also ready-made sauce. Sauerbraten the same thick sauce, or sirloin pot also a white thick sauce. We're not spoiled, but that's not possible. The carp and the house pan were good though. We will no longer visit Müller. Thanks

We were in the restaurant on a Saturday evening, the food was delicious, we had cordon bleu, schnitzel, grill plate, turkey steak and everyone really enjoyed it. The waitresses were friendly, the dining room was full and we sometimes had to wait a while for the drinks, but it wasn't a big deal. The guest room is just old, you just have to stick with grandma style.

Nice staff, nice atmosphere. I ordered cheese spaetzle. Totally over salted and the noodles buried under a mountain of mushy cheese. By far the worst cheese spaetzle I have ever eaten. The goose was ok. The dumpling was also totally over salted. Chef in love?! Unfortunately we cannot recommend it.

One of the best restaurant stays in a long time! The food tasted great, especially the onion roast and the Schäufele were buttery and super tasty! The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, exactly how you would imagine an evening in a Franconian restaurant and the prices were more than good for the generous portions! We'll definitely be back!

The food was very average, the service was very rude and insulted us as soon as we arrived.

I was here today for the first and definitely the last time. A colleague gave me a liver dumpling soup with pancakes to try. The soup smelled like dish soap and was not edible. I had a Schäuferle. The meat was soft, the crust was crispy and good. BUT the sauce tasted like ready-made sauce and the dumpling was overcooked and way too soft. Now comes the kicker. A colleague had ordered Camembert with bread. A camembert came with two slices of toast. There were almost 40 grams of butter on the plate. For 7 euros! This is absolutely naughty!!!! The atmosphere is from an 80s economy. Likewise the chairs and tables! Now a statement about the waitresses. We had made a reservation for 7 p.m. and had to ask the guests who were still sitting at the table to stand up. Afterwards we were treated extremely indifferently and almost dismissively. Although only from one of the two waitresses, you could already tell that the two ladies were at the end of their strength and nerves.

I was there today for the first and last time. In the Schäufele the meat was too firm and didn't come away from the bone. Service and operation still have room for improvement.

So far this is the best German restaurant I have visited. The ambience is just like back in the day. It gives you a special feeling. The pepper schnitzel is particularly recommended. If you love good German food, you shouldn't miss Müller's Restaurant.

Update October 2024: After a long break, we went back to Müller's for a small family reunion. Unfortunately I have to say, the quality of the food has noticeably decreased. We were 6 people. Only one person was satisfied with his meal. This one had the Viennese style pork schnitzel with fries. Everyone else had different roasts, and 2 had Schäufele. What can I say? The meat was okay and the sauce tasted and looked like a ready-made mixture. The marinade on the side salads tasted strong and sweetener. It doesn't work at all. It's a shame, I enjoyed coming here. Large portions are of no use if the food doesn't fit. Unfortunately I have to deduct 3 stars here. Very unfortunate. ----------------- Very good Franconian and national cuisine. Generous portions. Very tasty. Fair prices. Nice service. Unusual but very cozy furnishings. Reservation recommended.

The food was average. The portions are large. The prices are okay. There was friendly service in the restaurant. The poor woman worked for 2 and still had to wait 30 minutes to pay. The glasses were empty for just as long without anyone noticing. The first beer also took a long time. The owner sits lazily at the counter instead of supporting his staff. I was actually here for a test meal because I wanted to hold a company Christmas party here. It won't work like that. No thanks

Its been years since I have been to Germany, and I've missed the traditional food that they have to offer. So I was very excited to try this place after some good recommendations. I definitely lived up to the expectations and more. Would definitely recommend to any that want to try the local traditional food. Also washed down by some local beer of course. 🍻

We had dinner here with 7 people. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance. We all ordered different dishes and everything was served to us at the same time, which is of course great. The price-performance ratio is great. The portions are generous and tasty and hearty. We became aware of this restaurant through the top Google reviews and can recommend it!!! Always happy when we are in the area again.

The Müllers restaurant is a traditional Nuremberg restaurant and an absolute must for every visitor to the city who wants to enjoy German, Franconian or Bavarian cuisine. Particularly noteworthy is the Schäufele, a real culinary delight. Today I ate turkey breast fillet with mushrooms and croquettes. It was also very tasty. The service is always attentive and courteous. We will be happy to come back.

We visited this establishment on Friday and ordered fish. The result is poisoning. I do not recommend this establishment.

Really delicious cheese spaetzle

If you're not having a bad day, the food is really great. Which it really is most of the time. In any case, a very nice, cozy restaurant. The atmosphere is really unique and unfortunately doesn't exist that often anymore.

My sauerbraten was extremely bland and inedible, like the sole of a shoe. Despite consultation with the service staff and the meat was not eaten, nothing was done in our favor. On the contrary, I had to pay for the meal in full. Boss very unsympathetic

Very beautiful interior ideal place for cold winter nights but during spring and summer you can enjoy lunch or dinner in the garden. Friendly and quick service the portions were big. What I didn't like though was that the white sauce didn't have fresh mushrooms but from can. Next time I will try another dish

Quality is obviously getting worse, especially Schäufele, sauce is not tasting the same before, meat inside is cold, it seems that pre-prepared dishes were kept for long time and pork skin and meats tasted like plastics. Only Kloß keeps the same, the remained highlight of restaurant.

We like coming to Müllers because the service is always friendly and courteous. The food is home-style and tastes excellent. Personally, I particularly liked the sauerbraten. My husband loves the Cordonbleu. It's all homemade and fresh. The prices are slightly higher at around €20 per dish, but reasonable for the freshness, quality and quantity. I usually take half home with me and have a "second meal".

Good food, nice restaurant with a "garden", which is unfortunately in the back yard, in the middle of the surrounding houses.

As a vegetarian you are not welcome here and will be insulted! That is not how it works. Food overpriced, no cleanliness in the restaurant.

I am disappointed in the boss's character. My wife interviewed with him for a job as an assistant chef. When we arrived he saw us and immediately claimed he had no idea about an appointment and wasn't looking. I could smell the disgust on his face because he knew we weren't what he expected. It's outrageous that some people still see Germany as white and don't let people of other races in. I'm very upset that I wasted my time and fuel there. I don't know anything about the food but my impression of the chef is negative and I advise foreigners who want to have a good experience in Germany to stay away from this place.

So, this is probably the most stylish dinner place in the whole Nuremberg. I really love the decorations (see in photos). Also the service is very good and you can communicate in English. The only downside (for me) was that I wanted to try something traditional (RinderRuladen) and (for me) was not that good. The meat was to fade, and the sauce was not for me at all. All in all was a good experience and the place it is worth all money. I paid ~35 € for 2 beers and the RinderRuladen.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with my predecessors with the reviews. The waitress had to do everything on her own. Was very friendly and quick. She was pitiful, but did her very best. From the food perspective, the roast pork was probably a few days old and the sauce was a ready-made sauce from a bucket. The salad was manageable and for €16.90, oh well. The cordon bleu was good. Instead of fries we wanted fried potatoes. As stated in the menu, with an additional charge, therefore €20.90. Cranberries (2 teaspoons) for the schnitzel surcharge €1.00. I would say for us, we won't be coming back. But big praise for the service.

Positively surprised to find a typical Franconian restaurant in our city. Menu great, food too!! Ambience/service great! If the portion is too large: it will be packed up. Parking spaces available. Just go there!! Seat reservation!

Was here for dinner, it was extremely warm in the dining room, I sweated uncomfortably, the ambience is very nice and stylish but the sauerbraten was a disappointment, it only tasted very sweet, there was no trace of acid, I won't be coming back

Quaint, old German restaurant with good portions at reasonable prices... Nothing fancy, but I didn't expect that either... Honest, delicious, worth the price!

Does not accept online reservations. Telephone only (preferably in German). Since it's not exactly in the centre, you're more likely to find a seat, and it's still a stone's throw from the metro. Comfortable ambience and true Franconian cuisine. Hardly a waiter speaks English

Common cooking at acceptable prices, we ate sauerbraten, the meat was good and tender, the sauce was unfortunately much too sweet, the dumpling was oversized. Seit einigen Jahren zum ersten Mal wieder hier. Herr Müller wie immer an der Bar. Essen war leider grossteils enttäuschend. Sauerkraut war Kohl geschnitten, nicht Sauer kein Kümmel, geschmacklos, nur fettig. Kloss geschmacksneutral und mehlig. Beilagenwechsel scheinz 2 Euro zu kosten, stand m.E. nicht auf Karte, wir waren immer begeistert , aber jetzt sehr enttäuscht.

Habe das Schäufele gegessen und es war sehr lecker. Eines der Besten in Nürnberg. Empfehlung

Stets sehr netter Wirt, der sich auch immer Zeit für seine Gäste nimmt. Essen war auch sehr lecker. Anbiete ist OK. Legendär sind seine Riesenknödel. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Riesenschnitzel. Bestes Essen ist das Cordon Bleu oder Schnitzel. Die Soßen vertrage ich nicht.

Nach Jahren wieder hier gewesen und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Essen immer noch sehr lecker und viel, selbst ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Leckeres Essen. Große Portionen.

Ein uriges Nürnberger Lokal. Der Inhaber sitzt seit vielen Jahren täglich an der Bar. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Speisekarte ist überschaubar. Da findet jeder was. Im Sommer kann man gut im Garten sitzen.

Tolles deutsches/fränkischens Restaurant. Sehr große Portionen da wird man wirklich auch als guter Esser satt. Und das zu wirklich anständigen Preisen, und das meine ich positiv. Preis-Leistung Top. Ambiente ist sehr urig,altbacken. Aber hat Charme, mir gefällt das sehr gut. Reservierung fast immer nötig. Ist sonst kaum was frei. Personal sehr nett, alles sehr sauber,auch die Toiletten. Erstklassige Adresse in Nürnberg, sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir waren in einer Gruppe mit 14 Personen dort. Fast alle haben was anderes bestellt, alle waren ausgesprochen zufrieden mit dem Essen. Der Service war sehr gut, das Ambiente etwas angestaubt. Wir waren ja aber zum Essen und zum Unterhalten dort, nicht zu einem Galeriebesuch. Jederzeit wieder!

Ich war zur Weihnachtsfeier mit Kolleg:Innen zum ersten Mal im Müllers. Ambiente ist speziell, dunkles Holz viel Deko, Fototapete. Essen war für mich als Veggie ok, Auswahl für Veggies typisch fränkische eher übersichtlich. Die klassischen Käsespätzle waren aber lecker und der kleine Beilagensalat ebenso. Die Portionen sind sehr üppig. Service war sehr gut trotz des grossen Andrangs.

Kommen über 3 Generationen hier zum Müllers zum Essen...5 Sterne sind sogar zu wenig. Essen Top frisch kurze Wartezeiten! Personal super zuvorkommend und freundlich genau so muss das sein. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen 😀

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Sauerbraten einmalig. Eigentlich scheck alles. Klar, auch hier hat die Inflation zugeschlagen. Das Essen ist sein Geld wert. Einrichtung ist Geschmackssache, meiner Meinung nach gehört diese aber zu Müller's Restaurant, wie der Besitzer. Service in Stoßzeiten überlastet und längere Wartezeiten, hier bitte die nötige Geduld, sie tun ihr bestes! Danke für dieses konstante und fränkische Original!

Waren gestern seit langem mal wieder beim Müller's, da wir recht spät reserviert haben wurde uns vorab gesagt, dass wir den Tisch im Eingangsbereich bekämen dafür aber unbefristet von der Zeit her. Der Tisch war super und überhaupt nicht störend das es der erste im Gastraum war. Das Essen absolut lecker wie immer und der Service super Freundlich und Herzlich😊 kommen gerne wieder! Danke
