Very great restaurant, we are thrilled!!!!!!

Been there for the first time. Quiet location, nice atmosphere and the service was very nice and friendly. We had cheese spaetzle, spaetzle with gravy, a sausage salad and the knuckle. All dishes were delicious, I liked the crust on the knuckle, nice and crispy :) We'd love to come back.

Super interesting design, great atmosphere... the open different levels make it very cozy... even though there wasn't exactly a lot going on, the staff had things under control and we were served quicker than we thought... the food was good, I I had tripe myself, unfortunately you can't get it anywhere these days... if the portions were a little bigger I would have given the food 5 stars... but still great value for money

Great, exceptional ambience. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre! The fried potatoes were streaked with fat and fried for too long. We returned them and didn't have to pay for them! The pork schnitzel was tough and tasteless. The fries were good. (canteen level) The tarte flambée was baked too short and was served cold. But taste ok. The salads and soups before were delicious! There is nothing to complain about in terms of service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It may be better during the week.

Very rustic restaurant, super friendly staff and delicious food

What should I write about it? I was just thrilled. Ordered food for children, in what felt like 5 minutes the children had their generous portions. We were a large group and the food came at the same time. Tastes perfect and normal portions. The Krabba Nest is worth a trip.

Quaint restaurant with very friendly and attentive service. We were here in a large group of 23 people. Nevertheless, it went very quickly and we all had our food at the same time. The dishes were super tasty. My highlight is pumpkin orange soup and onion roast

The restaurant is really unusual and very nice - but the food has gone down a lot, but the prices have not. The staff are friendly and don't seem stressed, even if there are a lot of guests and that's usually the case - so it's better to reserve a table. Conclusion: Great restaurant, great outdoor area, nice seating. Price/performance ratio when it comes to food, a few adjustment screws should be turned, then everything would be great again!

Great nest!!! Absolutely worth a visit. Food excellent, ambience/decor simply rustic and stylish. Pure feel-good atmosphere, warm and welcoming. And on top of that, the price/performance is right and many others could learn a lesson from this. We would definitely come back!

A quaint place, with great food

I've reviewed many restaurants on my travels, but this is the height of inhospitability. Even after 15 minutes of waiting (yes the staff noticed that we were waiting at the table for service), none of the serving staff came down to take our order. We then got up and left. I can't recommend the restaurant because the staff shows no interest in serving the customers.

What a super nice, quaint restaurant. It's worth just sitting there and drinking a beer. The food is really delicious and the staff is very friendly. We'll be back

Everything was great. My food tasted excellent. The portion could have been a little larger. The service was very attentive and friendly.

The Krabba-Nescht definitely scores points with its rustic, original Swabian ambience. Here you immediately feel as if you have been transported to another time - cozy, warm and charming. The staff's friendliness also helps you feel welcome. Unfortunately, the kitchen can't quite live up to what the atmosphere promises. The onion roast was particularly disappointing, as it was more reminiscent of a simple roast. I expected a lot more, especially given the prices, which are on the higher end. All in all: A visit to Krabba-Nescht is worth it for the cozy ambience and the authentic Swabian feeling, but you shouldn't have too high expectations when it comes to food. Unfortunately, the onion roast in particular has lost its former glory.

Es empfiehlt sich, frühzeitig zu kommen. Es gibt zwar jede Menge Parkplätze, aber diese sind aufgrund der Größe des Lokals bald voll. Die Bedienungen sind nett und aufmerksam. Das bestellte Essen kam zügig und war sehr lecker. Der Rostbraten war, wie gewünscht, medium und der Salat frisch und gut angemacht. Es wird Brot zim Salat serviert, aber wenn man eine Beilage wie Pute oder Maultaschen dazu hat, ist dies überflüssig. Kann gerne auf Nachfrage nachgereicht werden oder vorher fragen, ob es gewünscht ist. Der Biergarten ist gemütlich, das Lokal innen zünftig eingerichtet. In den Toiletten könnte etwas mehr Licht sein. Diese waren aber sauber und ok.

Was with you again after what felt like 15 years... I have no idea why I missed it for so many years. Went here with the in-laws from Saxony and everyone had a great meal. My in-laws absolutely loved the atmosphere and now want to come here every time they visit us. Food, service and the price are all very good and reasonable. We'll be back soon.

By now I should know that in Germany there are typical restaurants and yet every time they are a surprise! In fact, this also enchanted me! It feels like entering another era! The environment is nothing short of picturesque and convivial. Each table is positioned in a typical corner and it is already difficult to decide which is the nicest to sit in! The dishes they offer are very varied and well cooked. The service girls are friendly and fast. I would happily return!

We hiked over the Xanderklinge to Holzbronn to stop at this rustic restaurant in the Black Forest. There is something for everyone here. Meeting point for bikers and families. Great facility, orders are processed quickly, even in large groups. We'd love to come back.

Really quaint, cozy, typically Swabian excursion restaurant with two outdoor areas and a cozy indoor area where even dogs are allowed. Large drinks and food selection. Friendly and quick service despite the restaurant being full. Only parking spaces are scarce on Sunday evenings. Absolute recommendation, gladly again.

Food, ambience, service, location was great. Perfect after a hike on the Xanderklinge. I tried some of the house delicacies with the Swabian plate and it tastes as good as grandma's. Drinks are ice cold. A highlight in the area.

After an excursion, we spontaneously reserved our final meal for 20 people there. The food and service were very good. The prices are good too, we would definitely go there again.

Nothing significant from the outside, but INSIDE we were pleasantly surprised, everything was made of wood, a really nice atmosphere, probably even nicer in winter. There is something to suit everyone, from crispy pork knuckles to vegetarian options. Nicely prepared and fresh. Service very friendly. Highly recommended as a destination. Our visit to Krabba Nescht was a lovely experience. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a rustic and cozy atmosphere that immediately conveyed a feeling of homely hospitality. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Swabian plate. The combination of tender roasted meat, delicious homemade Maultaschen, juicy pork loin and perfectly prepared spaetzle was simply great. For dessert there was a homemade mousse au chocolat, which was a poem both visually and in terms of taste. Every spoonful was a delight, and the texture was airy and creamy at the same time. A special highlight was the home-made whiskey that was served as a nightcap. The aroma and smooth finish made it a perfect end to a fantastic meal. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also first class. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere and first class service. Everything is just right here!

What should be highlighted is the very tasty whiskey, especially the single malt... simply awesome stuff from Germany and for me the best German whiskey I've ever drunk. The service is very friendly...just perfect. Definitely every time we're in the area.

Sehr schlechter und unverschämten Service. Beim dritten Besuch in 6 Monaten immer das gleiche. Wenn man einmal das Essen bekommen hat, taucht nur noch jemand zum abräumen auf. Will man noch etwas zum trinken, muss man aktiv werden und nach der Service Kraft suchen. Macht man mit Winken auf sich aufmerksam, wird man regelrecht zurecht gewiesen. Das war das letzte Mal.

Generell sehr lange Wartezeiten bis die Bedienung einen beachtet, Schnitzel nicht richtig angebraten (sind weiß mit 1-3 dunkleren Stellen, wenn man nach weiteren 15 min Wartezeit Getränke man nachbestellt ist die Bedienung genervt. Das war jetzt nicht einmalig sondern wir haben das über 2 Monate insgesamt 5 mal getestet. Einmal saßen wir am Stammtisch mit 6 Personen und uns hat keiner in den ersten 20 min Bedient obwohl wir den Tisch zu gewiesen bekommen haben. Und nein es war nicht voll! Es kann nicht sein das sich die 4 Damen am Tresen unterhalten und die Gäste nicht beachtet werden!!!

Wait 15 minutes until the first condition comes. After eating, we wanted to order another drink and waited again for over 15 minutes and were approached by the waitress because we wanted attention with our hands. Service very very unfriendly. Unfortunately not a one-off event. We had already experienced this on several Mondays. We will be moving our Monday meeting in the future.

We had reserved a table at short notice. On site we saw a great table upstairs and asked if we could get it. It wasn't a problem at all, despite the fact that the restaurant was busy. The staff were very nice. The food and drinks came in a reasonable amount of time and were delicious. The portion size just right. We really liked the atmosphere. There is a playground outside for children. Free parking spaces are also available.

Very tasty food, good portions and very good service. They are always there, ensuring that there is always drinking, but without being intrusive. The food was served promptly, even if there were several people there. Ambience is great. Krabba-Nescht gets a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars from me.

We come here once every year during our stay at the Schäferwagenhotel and a visit to the Krabba-Nescht is part of the regular program. Great fun and delicious food for 8 of us women.

So it's good in itself, but you can see the construction foam and the glass wool on the ceiling and it really annoys me like the plague 🙄 (and that really pisses me off !!!😡😡🤬🤬)
