The service is very bad, the waiters are arrogant, my wife doesn't speak German and wanted to order something in English and the waiters were very poorly adjusted and ignored her
We stayed at Dal Fabbro twice on our trip from Freiburg!
The food is incredibly delicious, the ambience is wonderful and the service is unique!
Thank you very much, we'll be back!😊
The best (although not one) Italian on site, always specials, no Hawaiian pizza or spaghetti Bolognese. Despite the stress, the service is always very friendly. The prices are okay too. A minus point for the air, the stressful atmosphere (it's well attended) and the much too meager wine selection. I would also like different vegetable side dishes for different meals. But these are small things.
Update 2025:
Still very good and very friendly service from the operating couple. Other wait staff neither know what wine they are serving nor do they remember anything. It's good that the two of them have everything under control. Otherwise you have to ask questions. The food is good and beautifully unprepared, but the quality was better in the past or I was unlucky (2 pieces of fish with different degrees of doneness and mixed). The portions were halved. The prices increased. Like everywhere. You get about a handful (a dollop of puree or risotto, some fish/meat, a broccoli rose, 1/4 carrot, a slice of zucchini) and every meal has the same vegetable side dish. A meal costs 25 (vegetarian) -30€, for two it's around 100€ with drinks and 1 starter for two. The pasta from the Parmesan body is no longer coated in Parmesan, but instead swims in sauce. The wine selection is very meager despite the many bottles on the wall. Unfortunately, it always smells of fish and, as soon as it's full (which it always is), it's incredibly loud. I saw something on the terrace that I didn't want. ? The trattoria has been running for years and hopefully will continue to do so, but here and there things have been better. Thank you anyway.
We came here on the recommendation of an Italian friend. Very good food. And a bit different from the usual Italian menu. I had dandelion mushrooms on refried beans with chili flakes for starters. It was delicious! And then orecchiette with Cime di Rapa. For dessert, homemade pistachio ice cream. All three were delicious!
The acoustics in the small dining room were a bit challenging, even though acoustic panels were already hung on the walls and taped under the tables.
Great experience. In addition to the excellent service, a pleasure in terms of quality and taste. The Nutella tiramisu along with the excellent espresso are highly recommended.
It's fine and you certainly won't leave hungry because the portions are very generous but the food is not brilliant, nor apparently great quality. Not super clean.
