Good location and great view of the harbor. Service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the steak is not recommended.

The food is okay, but definitely not appropriate for the price. The service is friendly.

We booked the 3-course menu with the room and were absolutely positively surprised. You could choose between fish and chicken fillet. Even though you could only choose between two main courses, the special combination of side dishes made it exceptional. The best part was the dessert, which consisted of a series of many delicacies. All in all, the menu was definitely worth the money and gets my recommendation

Hotel restaurant - great food and great view from the terrace

Wir waren gestern im Port Restaurant und rundherum zufrieden. Das Essen (Vorspeise Ziegenkäse, Hauptspeise Pannfisch und SpareRibs) war sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Natürlich ist der Preis gehoben, aber das Restaurant liegt halt an der Elbe, das hat seinen Preis. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend.

An excellent restaurant. The service was very professional, delivered with enough attention to detail without being overbearing. The food was superb, the fish was cooked excellent. The atmosphere was good. One to reteun to in the future.

We spent a lovely anniversary lunch here. Very accomodating to our infant son. We enjoyed a perfectly grilled flank steak aswell as venison. The leaf spinach side was a highlight.

Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Kommen gerne wieder.

Die Qualität vom Fleisch (Filet und Rib–Eye) sowie den Jacobsmuscheln waren wirklich gut. Leider war aber die Beilage sowie die Darreichung des Fleisches sehr enttäuschend. Das Fleisch wurde in der Mitte vom Teller platziert dazu aber keinerlei Deko, einfach lieblos. Ja, man kann jetzt sagen, weniger ist mehr und der Focus sollte auf dem Fleisch liegen aber es geht auch anders. Die dazu bestellten Kartoffeln waren leider total fettig/ölig und bei der Sour Cream war der Geschmack von Senf sehr dominierend. Aber der Beilagensalat war gut und die Darreichung der Jacobsmuscheln waren das Highlight. Alles in allem waren wir aber leider etwas enttäuscht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat die Kritik hoffentlich weitergegeben.

A great restaurant: Very nice ambience with a fantastic view of the harbor. A really good menu with many classic and well-combined dishes - the duck is excellent, the carved steaks are also recommended (be sure to order the Brussels sprouts and mushrooms with them). The wine list offers really good wines at reasonable prices. And don't forget: the service is excellent! Thank you for the culinary excellent and relaxing evening!

Wir hatten einen ganz wunderbaren Abend im Restaurant Port. Von einem sehr schönen Tisch aus konnten wir den erleuchteten Hamburger Hafen sehen. Das Essen war sehr gut und der Service hätte nicht besser sein können. Dazu noch ein hervorragend temperierter (nicht zu warm) Rotwein. Was will man mehr?

Es war wieder ein großartiger „Willi Bartels Stammtisch“, mal wieder in Willis Bierstube und selbstverständlich kommt das Essen und das Servicepersonal aus dem Restaurant PORT vom Hotel Hafen Hamburg. Das Essen war wie gewohnt sehr lecker, der Service äußerst freundlich und sehr aufmerksam und dann in diesem Ambiente von Willis Bierbar, ganz herzlichen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt am Mittag.

Erneut, ein von A bis Z gelungener Abend - Danke - kommen wieder !

Qualität und Auswahl des Essens war sehr gut und wurde durch den hervorragenden Service in angemessener Zeit an den Tisch gebracht. Ein Hinweis sollte hier noch seinen Platz finden, wenn Jemand wie ich, seinen PKW in der Tiefgarage parkt, ist es notwendig sich, beim Verlassen nach 19:00 Uhr eine Schlüsselkarte an der Hotelrezeption ausstellen zu lassen.

Bei den Bratkartoffeln muss noch geübt werden, die können bei richtiger Zubereitung auch schmecken. Beim Salat sollte mit dem Zucker gespart werden, einen süßen gemischten Salat mag nicht jeder!

Very good food. Unfortunately not as special as it was a few years ago but still of very good quality. The selection of drinks is also good and very tasty cocktails. Service very good and friendly. The ambience has a maritime lounge character. With a magnificent view over the port of Hamburg. Definitely worth a visit every time we are in HH!

Im Restaurant PORT vom Hotel Hafen Hamburg war traditionell unser monatliches Treffen vom „Willi Bartels Stammtisch“. Bei diesem Treffen sind unsere Favoriten Rindertatar, Roastbeef und Boullabaisse gewesen. Das Essen war wieder in jeder Hinsicht ein Genuss und auch der Service und die Präsentation sind gewohnt großartig gewesen.

Immer einen Besuch wert. Speziell wer maritimes antikes Ambiente mag.

Es war ein nettes und unkompliziertes Restaurant. Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Bedienung super nett und freundlich. Gerne wieder.

Qualität (ok) und Preise (recht gehoben) passen leider nicht zusammen: 43 Euro für 3 gemischte Vorspeisen, von denen keine positiv herausstach. Alle ok, aber eher langweilig. Die Steaks waren ok, aber alle Beilagen kamen obendrauf. Vegetarisch so gut wie nicht im Angebot (1 Salat, 1 Hauptgericht, sonst Beilagen). Das Ganze nach 60 min warten. In Summe gibt es in diesem Preissegment deutlich bessere Optionen in Hamburg.

Wir haben als Familie reserviert und sind allesamt enttäuscht von dem Abendessen und vorallem vom Service. Einzig die Lage überzeugt- aber da gibt es viele Alternativen. Kritik am Essen wird vehement abgelehnt und der Gast mundtot gemacht. Steakvariation für 99 € nicht annähernd zufriedenstellend und lauwarm, ebenso wie die Beilagen. Da wir eine längere Anfahrt hatten und folglich Hunger haben wir die Gerichte gegessen. Die Bedienung meinte als wir sagten das Essen sei kalt gewesen: das geht gar nicht . Im Gegensatz zur Restaurantleitung - diese konnte gar nicht damit umgehen und hat äußerst unprofessionell reagiert. Das ist für diese Preiskategorie unmöglich. Weder wurde eingelenkt noch ein Kaffee angeboten. Es wurde lieber in Kauf genommen, dass der Gast unzufrieden geht. Sehr schlecht gelernt..... Wir wollten eigentlich nochmal mit mehr Personen buchen, aber das hat sich natürlich heute erledigt.

Wir hatten einen sehr tollen Abend im Port. Kellner und Essen waren absolut phantastisch. Das Ambiente war auch ok, leider war es im Restaurant sehr Kühl.

Das Essen war hochpreisig aber qualitativ und geschmacklich in Ordnung. Aber 7€ für ein 0,5 l Hefeweizen. Da hört’s langsam auf bei mir. Vielleicht gehts ja nur mir so, aber die Getränkepreise werden immer unverschämter!

We went to this restaurant with our team of 10 people, and all the hard facts - taste and service - were great. However, we had to wait almost 60 minutes for our food and of course we were hungry after a hard day of workshops with the team. Therefore there is a star deduction. But overall a good experience.

Very nice and open service. The ribeye steak was ordered medium-rare and arrived that way (unfortunately medium-rare is not a given in every restaurant). I was able to split the steak with my tongue and definitely had peace of mind after grilling (no liquid leaking out when cutting). We recommend the leaf spinach and the fries with curry mayonaise.

The restaurant does not have enough service staff. I stayed at the Hotel Hafen for one week on business, and was denied seating on four occasions because I did not have a reservation, not even for a party of one. I asked if I could eat at the bar for a simple hamburger, but this was also denied and was told, “It is not permitted.” When I asked why, I was given the brush-off, “NO” is what I was told. I find it unacceptable that a hotel restaurant cannot accommodate its own hotel guests in any way. Very disappointed to say the least. Never again will I stay at this hotel nor dine in the restaurant.

Wie immer gab es hier einen sehr schlechten Service, es ist völlig planlos mit den Bestellungen und dem Bringen der Speisen. Sie stellte schon den Kuchen bei mir hin, obwohl ich diesen nicht bestellt hatte, ging dann damit und 2 weiteren Tellern zum Ende der Terrasse, um von dort dann mit einem wieder zu mir zu kommen. der Kuchen kam leider auch erst, als der Kaffee schon leer war. Es war nicht voll und es gab genug Personal, aber sie sind total unorganisiert. Jeder macht scheinbar, was gerade so anliegt oder eben nicht. Hier müßte dringend etwas getan werden! Die Reservierung klappte gut und die Dame am Empfang war sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Great place. The view on the port from the terrace is gorgeous, and the food is very tasty and delicate. Prices are on the higher side, but they match the quality. Only service was a bit too slow overall. The interior decorations are also very nice and well themed. Definitely recommended!

Reserved for 4 people at 8 pm. Ordered a shared starter, a main course each and a bottle of wine. At 10:08 pm we were still waiting for the main course and decided to leave. They even asked to pay the starter dish. No shame, the lady at the entrance told me “see you next time”!

Positive: •beautiful location •Food is OK according to the restaurant •friendly service Negative: •Entrance cannot be found immediately because Google Maps shows a different location •The veal schnitzel as a starter is much too thin, only breading in places •No question as to whether everything tasted good •Cocktails are not available at lunch, but this is not on the menu •Weird portion sizes - sometimes too big, sometimes too small •The main course of cod had so little fish on it that after a short time I only had spinach leaves and mashed potatoes, but that was enough. I think it would be nicer if you put more fish on it and save on side dishes, because that's what I'm paying for. •No goodbyes when we left, even though there were 2 service staff there ------ Due to the beautiful location I would have been inclined to 3☆, but when I got home I saw that the panfish was being charged instead of the cod (partly my fault, as I could check it, but in such establishments I actually trust the staff ). We decided to go to another restaurant for dessert.

Was here just for breakfast. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. There is a wide variety of choices, from bread and rolls to small pieces and French rolls. There is also a selection of jams, cheese and meat as well as fresh salmon with a dill edge. There is also a muesli and yoghurt corner. In addition, there is another small room with hot dishes and fruit. The hot dishes to choose from are: hard and soft boiled eggs, fried and scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and various shapes, baked beans, fried champions, scalloped tomato halves and pancakes.

Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich. Sehr überraschend war die Schnelligkeit der Küche. Etwas umständlich fanden wir erst im 3.Anlauf den Eingang. Der Behelfszugang war schlecht gekennzeichnet.

“Willi Bartels Stammtisch” in the maritime restaurant PORT at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg, Seewartenstr. 9 in December. Of course we had excellent food and our usual extremely friendly and attentive service team. The PORT restaurant is absolutely top notch, whether during the day, for lunch or for dinner. When brunch is offered on the first Sunday of the month, or for breakfast as a hotel guest, in summer on the wonderful terrace with a view from the Elbphilharmonie to the fish market of the harbor and the Elbe. In addition, excellent food and the very friendly and very attentive service staff, most of whom have been employed for many years. I can judge everything for myself, even as a Hamburger spending the night when the harbor slowly wakes up in the morning is a great experience.

It is beautiful! That's why 2 stars. And I believe everyone that the food there is delicious. The plates around me all looked delicious. But: We actually came to have a drink. We were seated at 2:48 p.m. The first waitress came at 2:55 p.m. My daughter wanted to order fries. According to the homepage, there is warm food until 3 p.m. Then the waitress told us (in a friendly manner) that the kitchen was already closed and that the only warm dish being served was burgers with fries so that the kitchen could prepare for the evening's business. We can order that. But it's too late for fries alone now. Remember, 2:55 p.m.!!! The fact that dishes with fries were still being prepared around me until 3:20 p.m.... The cooks are probably overwhelmed by throwing a handful of potato wedges into the deep fryer. Of course you get annoyed when another order comes in shortly before the end. But then I complain about the guest if he doesn't notice and still do my job. Or was it because we weren't dressed smart enough and people didn't see that we like to go out?!? No matter, I'll soon be pulling out my card again at other restaurants that are happy about the sales.

Traumhafte Aussicht auf der grünen Terrasse, dazu ein schneller Service. Dazu ein verdammt gutes Flank Steak mit Pfifferlingen. Das IPA vom Fass schmeckte natürlich auch. Natürlich hat das alles seinen Preis, aber ich denke es ist auch das etwas höhere Preisniveau wert! Einziger Kritikpunkt: Zweimal ließen Kellner vor unserem Tisch Kugelschreiber usw. fallen, die dann auch noch auseinanderfielen, das sah schon fast nach versteckter Kamera aus.

Food with a view! Had dinner with friends and children. To the kitchen: For starters we had a curry corn cream soup with popcorn falafel. The combination is very successful and the curry brings the spice. Great consistency of the soup, you can see the craftsmanship of the chefs. The main course included a grilled sea bass fillet Bean ragout on gratinated lettuce heart with butter and white wine sauce. The fish was super fried and to the point. In combination with the bean ragout, a slightly oriental note was added. Successful fishing! The sweet conclusion was a composition of pear tart, mousse and ice cream. Fits seamlessly into the menu. About the service: We had a really nice waitress who was always there and looked after us. That's how it should be! Conclusion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Para empezar, el camarero era terriblemente arrogante. No hablaba inglés y continuó respondiendo en alemán. No estábamos listos para ordenar cuando vino, lo que parecía irritarlo. La comida fue decepcionante. No había guarnición (en absoluto), y nos trajeron patatas fritas sin ningún tipo de inmersión, a pesar de que figuraba como incluido. No nos guiaron en absoluto, que estas cosas no estaban incluidas. El filete olía raro, así que tuvimos que enviarlo de vuelta, lo que llevó al gerente a venir a hablar con nosotros. Ella fue lo suficientemente amable, y no tuvimos que pagar por el filete. La salsa bearnesa no tenía ni rastro de estragón, y el chorizo mayo sabía a curry. La vista era brillante, pero eso es realmente todo lo que el restaurante tenía para ofrecer.

Essen mit Aussicht! Waren zum Abendessen mit Freunden und Kindern zu Gast. Zur Küche: Zur Vorspeise hatten wir eine Curry-Maiscremesuppe mit Popcorn Falafel. Die Kombination ist sehr gut gelungen und das Curry bringt die Würze mit. Tolle Konsistenz der Suppe, da merkt man das Handwerkskönnen der Köche/innen. Im Hauptgang gab es dann ein gegrilltes Wolfsbarschfilet mit Bohnenragout an gratiniertem Salatherz mit Butter-Weissweinsauce. Der Fisch war super gebraten und auf den Punkt. Im Zusammenspiel mit den Bohnenragout kam eine leicht orientalische Note dazu. Gelungener Fischgang! Den süßen Abschluss bildete eine Komposition aus Birnenrarte , Mousse und Eis. Reiht sich nahtlos in das Menü ein. Zum Service: Wir hatten eine wirklich nette Bedienung , die immer zur Stelle war und uns umsorgte. So soll es sein! Fazit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food and view great. Most of the waiters were very nice and others were just rude so that you didn't feel like eating or staying there anymore. But it could also be because it's the holidays and they're stressed, but you can still pull yourself together and remain polite. I was at this restaurant recently and I'm sorry to say the service was disappointing. The waitress was extremely rude and had a very condescending manner. Such behavior is completely unacceptable in a restaurant. This ruined the entire visit. I definitely won't be back and can't recommend this restaurant due to the poor service.

The location of the restaurant is super nice, the staff is very friendly. Drinks, starters and dessert were great. Unfortunately I didn't really like the main course, but that's always an individual thing. I would still recommend it.

The staff is Nordic cold, but still nice and helpful, maybe coming to the tables a little more often would be good for sales ;). Definitely visit, highly recommended

Just had a fillet steak at the Port Grill and Bar. I ordered my steak medium. However, it was well done and didn't exactly taste good. Very disappointing if you have to pay 43 euros for it.

Zweimal dort gegessen, mittags und abends. In beiden Fällen durchwegs hervorragende Küche und ein geradezu traumhafter Service. Selten sind wir so sympatisch und zuvorkommend bedient worden. Dazu ein toller Ausblick und wundervolles Wetter noch dazu. Eine fast zwingende Einladung zum Wiederkommen!

Just the walk from the hotel entrance to the restaurant is great. Lots of maritime exhibits, it has the character of a museum. The Port itself of course offers a sensational view of the harbor and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful outdoor terraces in Hamburg. Particularly nice because the vines provide natural shade. Of course it's not cheap here. The ambience and view must also be paid for. Scallops as a starter 18.00, Pannfisch 29.00, Riesling Alte Reben 11.00 and Creme Brulee 16.00. But it's worth it. Everything is very tasty and pleasing to the eye. The only thing is that the panfish only had two types of fish and the rhubarb sorbet for dessert was more reminiscent of ice cream. But that's complaining at a high level. The service was very friendly, Hanseatic reserved and always present in a timely manner. The restaurant has been renovated and now one party sits while eating with their backs to the view, in the old version everyone sat sideways...I personally thought it was better. But it's good that the design is now nicer and more modern. Definitely a recommendation, especially if there are visitors and you want to offer a beautiful Hanseatic view.
