This restaurant is highly recommended, from the service to the ambience and the food, it's simply great. My wife had Labskaus and I haven't seen her this happy in a restaurant for a long time. 5 🌟 won't last 👍 I had the Viennese style schnitzel and had to ask if it was really pork and not veal. Sooo tender. We definitely weren't here for the last time. Keep it up!

Food good, service a bit too Hanseatic direct. We were a large group and therefore had to be divided into three side rooms. For normal sized groups, 4 stars overall.

Sind dort recht spät zu fünft kurz vor Schließung dort eingekehrt,um nur etwas in gemütlicher Runde zu trinken. War kein Problem,würden nett begrüßt und bedient. Wir hatten eine kurze Bierrunde in toller Atmosphäre. Sehenswert ist die historische Theke mit voll ausgestatter Bar und die Säulen.Ich würde gern wiederkehren , um auch die Speisen zu probieren. Die Speisekarte ist interessant.

Great food, cozy and traditional atmosphere, with an impeccable and attentive team holding it all together. A great place to eat before a show, hold a Stammtisch (private rooms) and seasonal outdoor seating. Family favs like the pan-fish, schnitzel, beef roulade, soup and the famous apple rings never disappoint! Highly recommended!

The service is particularly praiseworthy; the waiters try to keep the guests happy with jokes. A visit is very worthwhile, especially if it is combined with a visit to the theater. A little nostalgic trip to the 1905s. The rustic restaurant impressed us not only with the beautiful ambience, but also with the warm and very attentive service staff. We were never left high and dry. However, we were particularly impressed by the traditional and very tasty cuisine (labskaus, roulades, fish & chips, etc.). We were also amazed at the variety. Whether vegetarian, vegan or halal. Everything is offered here. If you want to experience traditional, exquisite, delicious cuisine at a fair price, you should go to Anno.

If you want to eat really good German food in a relaxed, pleasant, rustic atmosphere, this is the place for you. The cuisine is unbeatable, the service is super friendly. Also ideal for groups. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We ate here on Saturday and can only warmly recommend this restaurant, especially if there is a musical visit to the Neue Flora afterwards. Both are only a few minutes' walk away from each other. We had the opportunity to place our food (and drink) order in advance via email so that we could get to the musical on time and avoid stress. The staff are all very friendly and the food was simply great. We reserved in advance. Very big recommendation.

Were more than thrilled. Despite the restaurant being full (Saturday at 8:00 p.m. without a reservation), one table was made available for us. The service was a smooth A, the food was super tasty and arrived very quickly, the ambience is great, would go there again 😎

We really wanted to eat Labskaus and found it here because of the good reviews. The food was very tasty. The service was also very friendly, we only had to call forward twice when ordering because we were sitting at the back. The look from the outside is totally uninviting due to lots of graffiti, but the atmosphere inside was great. So don't be fooled. We would be happy to eat here again when we are back in Hamburg.

We were there yesterday very spontaneously in the evening and we were quickly given a place. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly. The food came quickly and was really tasty! We'd love to come back!

We ate there yesterday after reading the great reviews online. There were four of us there. The restaurant was stylishly furnished and the atmosphere was very nice. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long for it. What we liked best was the service, super friendly and always with a relaxed attitude. The male waiter with glasses would have to rethink his career choice. A waiter who has no ability to deal with “stress” and therefore speaks very rudely to customers. Also, in the middle of an order, he just runs away and says he's going to finish the other orders just because otherwise it would have taken 30 seconds longer. At the end he was spoken to nicely - completely incapable of criticism - not accepted and my girlfriend insulted for it. A company meal was booked months in advance and the excuse for the cocktails, which were not available, was that the suppliers only delivered the fruit in the afternoon. You can't be that unprofessional. Food tastes okay, but nothing special and not pleasing to the eye either, but anyone who hires waiters who are socially incompetent deserves 0 stars.

Disappointing experience - unprofessional service We ate in this restaurant today with our company before going to a musical. The reservation and menu were already booked about six months ago for about 40 people to ensure everything runs smoothly. Unfortunately, the evening was anything but pleasant, and that was mainly due to one waiter who served us. The evening began with a waiter (older, with glasses and brown hair) reacting extremely unprofessionally and irritably when we wanted to order cocktails. He started literally yelling at us about why we would even order cocktails because it was "stressing him out too much" since he was alone at the time. Instead of maybe saying that it's not possible right now, but only when the second waitress comes to work in 10 minutes. So instead of politely explaining why the cocktails weren't possible, we were treated very disrespectfully. I had never been hit on by a waiter before in my life. When we wanted to order "normal" drinks, he simply left without a word, even though we were ready to place the order straight away. It took him about 10 minutes to come back to finally take the order. Later, the nicer waitress explained to us that no cocktails could be served because there was no fresh fruit available. We were told that the delivery usually doesn't come until the evening - so actually it wasn't a problem because we now got a "normal" and NICE explanation. However, it was still disappointing not to have gotten any fruit, even though we had known for months that a company was coming. The food itself was mediocre, but again everything was chaotic. For example, some of us were served the schnitzel but had to wait five minutes for the sauce. This meant that the food was only lukewarm when it was finally all on the table. The worst thing, however, was the waiter's behavior towards my girlfriend. She wanted to give him friendly advice at the end and point out that in the future he should be more polite with guests and say right from the start which drinks are not available. He then literally said to her, “You’re not pretty enough to be that stupid.” We were all shocked and couldn’t believe what we were hearing. Such disrespectful and misogynistic behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. The service was not only poorly organized, but in our case also extremely rude and disrespectful. We definitely won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend this restaurant. I didn't take any photos, it wasn't worth it.

Went there for the first time today and never again. The waiter with the glasses and the beard was so unfriendly. He was overwhelmed, became abusive and yelled at me just because we wanted to have cocktails. Just walked away during the order and couldn't argue anything. No fruit, no nothing. Absolutely not open to criticism! Drinks were presented very carelessly, we first got the sauce and then the food. In the end we approached him to give feedback, but he couldn't handle it at all. Not comfortable, not clean, everything full of cobwebs. And the waiter - misogynistic! No thanks, I'll never come here again and I don't recommend it to anyone. I'd rather go to McDonald and get better service.

We ate there before attending a musical. Even without a reservation, we (4 people) got a table and very, very friendly service. The rustic ambience paired with the very tasty, home-made German dishes made the evening a very nice evening. The friendly, courteous, present, funny and fast service right from the start is convincing across the board. We would like to thank the very friendly service staff and the kitchen team for a lovely, delicious evening and we would be happy to come back.

We ordered the Schnitzel and the Rouladin dishes. The German red cabbage was amazing, perfectly seasoned. The potatoes and schnitzel were perfectly cooked. The rouladin was flavorful and tender. A perfect German meal!

The price menu is not overloaded and the dishes, as far as we tried them, were very tasty. The service was quick and courteous. We were even lucky enough to be able to tell us a little about the history of the restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

The schnitzel was very tasty. Unfortunately, the drinks are quite expensive: a large light beer costs €6.30. Then you just drink one...

Fui a cenar la semana pasada por recomendación de mi amigo. Tenía la famosa sartén de Hamburgo - pescado. ¡Sehr Lecker! Me encanta la salsa de mostaza casera, el camarero fue tan amable de darme extra! El pescado era fresco, ensalada lateral era muy sabroso también. Espero volver algún día.

Oh how nice that restaurants like this still exist. There I enjoyed excellent homemade sour meat with homemade tartar sauce and very good fried potatoes with bacon. I was served in a very friendly manner and was well satisfied afterwards (good portion). So if you like well-made traditional cuisine, definitely give it a try. Full marks from me. Thank you and I definitely wasn't there for the last time.

Had a meal with friends as we were stopping in Hamburg overnight on the way back from Sweden Rocks. I had the Schnitzel with mushroom sauce and little roast potatoes with onion and bacon, spectacular!!! Friends had a Farmers breakfast and the roast beef, both equally spectacular. Finished the meal off with a schnapps. Beautiful old building, thoughtful laid out inside keeping that old world feel. Can thoroughly recommend this place for anyone in the area.
