I don't know why so many people thought everything was better in the past. It's somehow as good as ever. I've been going here again and again since Café Erdmann's early days. I couldn't think of a better place for my coffee! It has perhaps gotten a little better over the years. Why? Because the trees have gotten much bigger. Stay as you are. And the Motzköppes can go somewhere else

Great place to have a nice drink. Some people ate something there, everything looked good and their faces were happy. It's self-service.

Completely run down. After the older innkeepers (our regular bar with lots of regular tables and very good food and drinks) died, things only went downhill. Subsequent generations were unable to run a restaurant successfully. Temporarily closed means permanently closed!

Extremely friendly owners. Very good, thin schnitzels with airy breading. Recommended!

Great service, excellent food! We had a cheeseburger with fries and a sausage salad with fries. A side salad was served with it. The burger was very good. A fluffy bun, juicy patty and a delicious burger sauce. The fries were crispy and also went well with the sausage salad. The salad was fresh and perfect with a delicious vinegar and oil dressing. Particularly worth mentioning is the homemade lemonade, which also tasted very good. For dessert we treated ourselves to “Rusty Knights” with vanilla sauce, which was also very successful! Together with a large bottle of mineral water we came to less than €50 in total. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine and fair. 😊 The beautiful location is an extra bonus!

The question that comes to mind is how many reviews. Customers actually wrote about this. Reviews were made where the basement was not open at all. That's a lot of cheating reviews😅😅 What if I then charge six euros for a mug of beer? Where is the best price?

nice place, friendly service and good food and beer selection. The view of the river is nice, there are boats further up you can rent to paddle around the area. the town is also nice to visit, the architecture is classic Germany, lost of shops. great experience.

Pro: Great sunny location right on the lake. If you find a free table, you can sit and watch for hours. Since it's self-service, you're not forced to order. Cons; Highly overpriced food and drinks (e.g. €8 for a tomato soup). Toilet has been neglected for years.
