The seating is very pleasant, but the staff at the self-service counter could be a bit friendlier.

The staff couldn't have been more rude and impolite in pointing out to me that bringing your own drinks isn't welcome. Quote: "You can drink your drinks where you got them!" in an absolutely spiteful tone of voice that is unparalleled. PS: If you arrive by bike, it's a good idea to lock it in the designated spaces and not lean it against the (empty) surrounding tables, as this apparently causes the staff to throw a tantrum. This has already been described in another review.

Unfortunately, it's getting increasingly crowded. The staff is sometimes overwhelmed.

In short: Adrian knows how to be a host – not only in a professional sense, but in the best human sense.

A cozy place with a large summer garden, where peace and quiet reign - the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a park than the noisy Oktoberfest. Great for relaxing, even with children. Meals are organized in a self-service format through a kiosk. Prices for food and drinks are quite democratic, although the portions could be larger. A nice bonus is the ability to pay by card. The toilet is in the neighboring building and, what was a pleasant surprise, remained clean even late in the evening.

Really good for a cafeteria. But guys, you need a coffee machine there too!

In my life, which has been full of gastronomic disappointments, I have rarely experienced such an organizational and culinary revelation. We ordered three dishes (Handkäs, Obazda, Lentil Feta Bowl) around 7 p.m. Shortly before, while we were still standing in line to order, a person from the kitchen staff announced loudly that we would have to wait a long time (at least three quarters of an hour) for an Alpine burger. Since we had ordered three relatively simple dishes, we happily went to one of the tables, sat down and sipped our drinks. About three quarters of an hour later (after roughly the waiting time that was actually threatened for the Alpenburger), the dongle that had been handed to us after ordering finally vibrated. After we arrived at the issuing counter, still somewhat excited, there was unfortunately only a Handkäs and an Obazda for us. The bowl apparently didn't want to wait 45 minutes and disappeared without a trace. A replacement dish was half-heartedly offered, although it remained unclear whether we would have had to wait another 45 minutes for this, whereupon my companion politely declined. Therefore, the kitchen staff asked the cashier to refund the amount. The cashier had to laboriously read the amount on the constantly changing electronic card on the wall, so that about another 10 minutes later the remaining two dishes were on the table mentioned above. You could tell that the Obazda had been prepared some time before we ordered it (!); an approximately 1 mm thick, relatively unappetizing, hard skin had formed on the surface. The hand cheese was okay, but could have used a little more music. The bowl continued to be conspicuous by its absence and thus escaped any culinary evaluation. I am therefore wondering why it takes a whopping 45 minutes to “prepare” three dishes, one of which was definitely already prepared before ordering, another that can easily be prepared within 90 seconds, and a third that doesn’t exist at all. I therefore recommend that those responsible for this give up their job in the catering industry and perhaps do something that doesn't involve food or people. For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that my companion, who suggested the summer garden, assured me that otherwise it wouldn't be so bad there. You probably won't see me there anymore.

Nice, tasty and affordable beer garden near the university campus. Here you can linger after work or college with a large glass of cold German beer and a tasty piece of meat or sausage. Meat portions just not a good size. One portion is on the small side, two on the large side.

Super atmosphere if the weather allows for it. Overall cozy vibe with pretty standard 'cant go wrong' food. Self service so nothing to really say on that front.

Humane prices. Lots of space to sit outside...the Greek salad doesn't taste good at all. Dressing is missing.

Not just for students! You can eat in the beer garden until 10 p.m., a really nice and simple location on the beautiful university campus

In itself a really nice location with a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately the food took forever. After we asked for a bratwurst after 35 minutes of waiting, the answer was unfortunately very unfriendly: “It’ll just take a while.”

Food is ok, value for money is great, service is super slow… we waited an hour for our food and only got lame answers when we asked. Nice concept, poorly implemented...

Great location, moderate prices. Particularly good to use with children. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed on the day we visited. Otherwise we would have a great time here and the kids could play in the sand.

Super nice and affordable beer garden on Goethe University campus. Draught beer, beergarden classics, as well as burgers and other options available. Open to everyone (not just university students and staff)

Beef sausage was neither boiled nor fried. Paid 8 euros for two beef sausages from the pack with a bun.

Love this place! Great place to take kids to meet friends on warm summer days. The location is spacious, shady and quiet with no traffic, giving parents comfort that they can relax and enjoy their food and drinks without having to worry too much about their children's safety. The food is good and generally what you would expect from a biergarten. Love the big sandbox for kids.

Nice large beer garden, very quiet. You pick up your own drinks and food, friendly staff at the counter.

It works like that, nice crowd, lots of children, lots of dogs, nice location, but prices are now beyond the performance ratio. A tiny neck steak, which is rather simple in terms of quality and taste, with a cheap roll from a discounter for €5.50 and drink prices like in a restaurant are not appropriate for a self-service snack bar. The bratwurst doesn't taste good either. It was correspondingly empty even on Friday evening. Lots of tables available.

Ein wunderbarer Ort, nicht nur für Studenten und Uni-Beschäftigte. Sitzgelegenheiten im Schatten, durchschnittliche Preise und nicht aufdringliche Gäste laden zum Verweilen ein. Kein Ort für Menschen die den Trubel der Großstadt suchen. Hier kann man gut nebenbei Hausarbeiten schreiben oder Seminare nachbereiten. Wlan-Zugang zum Uni- Netzwerk ist gegeben. Der Sommergarten ist am Wochenende geschlossen.

Trotz der vielen Gästen sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung, gutes und preiswertes Essen und Getränke. Schöne Ambiente, viel Grün. Ich war sehr zufrieden.

Eigentlich schöne Location, bei gutem Wetter allerdings extrem lange Warteschlangen, trotz SB. Ein Punkt Abzug dafür, dass ein 0,5 l Weizen 4 €, ein alkoholfreies 0,33 l Weizen ebenfalls 4 € kostet und damit 50%! teurer ist wie die alkoholhaltige Variante. Und das beim Studierendenwerk - vielleicht denkt mal jemand über eine solche Preisgestaltung nach.

Sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Eine Empfehlung für jeden, der einen schönen Sommerabend (auch mit Freunden) verbringen will. Gut geeignet für Studenten am Feierabend.

Netter Biergarten mit großem Sandkasten (mit Sandspielzeug). Typische Biergartengerichte und Getränke zu angenehmen Preisen.

Schönes Ambiente direkt an der Uni und grundsätzlich gute Essensqualität, leider für Studenten etwas zu gesalzene Preise. Insbesondere bei den Getränken könnte preislich runtergegangen werden, um mehr und häufigere Besuche des Sommergartens nach der Uni zu ermöglichen. Auch kommt es an schönen Tagen häufig zu extrem langen Schlangen, obwohl eine Infrastruktur mit "Beepern" etc. vorhanden ist. Hier besteht Verbesserungspotenzial!

Großer Sommergarten mit Gastronomie,Es geht sehr ruhig und entspannt zu. Keine Oktoberfest Szene eher Parkatmospäre gut auch mit Kindern. WC ist ausgeschildert im Nebengebäude sehr sauber auch zu später Stunde, Das Essen und die Getränke sind günstig, Portionen eher klein. Selbstbedienung am Verkaufskiosk Kartenzahlung möglich.

Este jardincito de verano es súper cómodo, es fresco y sombreado, ideal para encontrar a los amigos en verano para comer o tomar una cerveza. Los precios son moderados y hay un pollo rostizado delicioso. También ofrecen diferentes tipos de salchicha y de cerveza y hay opciones veganas. Las mesas son amplias y hay un pequeño espacio de arena para los pequeñitos. La vista de la fuente al edificio IG Farben de la fuente y la rotonda es agradable.

Die Land-Apfelsaftschorle sollte lieber auf dem Land bleiben!!!!!!!

Incredibly slow service. We were queueing almost 45 minutes.

Sehr schöne Möglichkeit im Westend draußen im Grünen etwas zu essen. Auch zu COVID-Zeiten sehr gut organisiert, online anmelden und einchecken gingen leicht und reibungslos. Das Essen war preiswert und völlig okay, hat aber natürlich Kantinenqualität. Leider ist auch nicht immer alles zu bekommen, was angekündigt wird. Dafür waren die Mitarbeiter außerordentlich freundlich und bemüht. Weiter so! Ich komme gerne wieder!

Sehr netter Biergarten in ungezwungener Atmosphäre auf dem Uni-Campus. Für Kinder gibt es einen Sandkasten. Die Grillgerichte sind zu empfehlen, Salate und vegetarische Speisen haben eher Mensa-Charakter... Die Preise sind sehr human!

Teilweise unfreundliche Bedienung. Das Radler beinhaltet zu wenig Limo. Die Plätze sind gut und gemütlich. Die Fassade spiegelt leider nicht den Flair eines Studenten/innen Biergartens wieder. 3/5*

Ich war schon lange nicht mehr so beeindruckt von einem Lokal. Die Location ist prima einfach zu erreichen! Die gute Verkehrsanbindung macht einen Besuch prompt machbar. Sicherlich komme ich für meinen Teil da mit meinen Geschäftspartnern her und kann mich darauf verlassen klaglos betreut zu werden. Versucht jene einzigartige Kochstube, auf der Speisekarte ist in der Regel für jeden etwas dabei.

Gemütlicher Ort. Mitten in der Stadt eine Oase. Nettes Personal.

Für ein nettes Beisammensein abends echt klasse. Selbstbedienung klappt prima und die Bratwurst schmeckt sehr gut. Ich war bei dem schönen Wetter mindestens zwei Mal pro Woche dort und habe den Tag ausklingen lassen

Netter ruhiger Biergarten abseits der hektischen Stadt

In Frankfurt gibt es wenige echte Biergarten. Dies ist jedoch einer.

The grilled items here are satisfactory. A little bit too much oil for my taste, but still enjoyable. It has great prices for students of the Goethe University Frankfurt or anyone holding a Goethecard, but for guests it won’t be as cheap. It is easily accessible on the campus grounds with a great open air ambience. Alcohol is also served here, along with select chilled dairy items.
