One of the most beautiful places in Frankfurt, not everyone knows about it. Unfortunately, Orange Beach will be closed until the end of the year due to construction work while Deutsche Bahn is building a new bridge. I loved going there and just chilling, having a drink, and chatting with other people.

Best Beach in Frankfurt, a favorite hangout for 15 years, is unfortunately set to be demolished at the end of the year because the German Railways (DB) has staked a claim.

For me and many others, it's the most beautiful spot on the Main. Located right on the water, beneath a legendary railway bridge. No traffic, and only really friendly people. There's regular small talk with many friendly visitors. The drinks selection is legendary, with great beers, and there's always a barbecue. The owner and his son put so much effort into it that you'll want to come back again and again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this wonderful location will somehow be preserved. Please sign the online petition to preserve Orange Beach... It would be such a shame if this beautiful spot were soon gone.

I lived and worked in Frankfurt between 1992 and 1997 I used to come here nearly every night when I lived in Neiderrad, on Heinrich Seilger Straße. Where the stage is was a French boules area where we spent many hours playing and drinking Licher and Binding beir. I'm so sorry to hear that this is going to be closed down. I have so many fond memories of this place. Back then we paid between 1 and 2 deutsch marks for a 0,5 bottled beir. ( Oh how times have changed). Why does this bar have to close ?!?!? It's always a place for a quick rest after work. Sitting here, gazing at the Main, talking or being silent—it doesn't matter—it's simply good for you. Even the trains passing overhead are hardly a disturbance.

A place for a cheap, relaxed holiday, even if it doesn't seem like it on the way, but once you get there, it feels like you're on holiday. Sandy ground, relaxed loungers, nice people and reasonable prices.

Simply relaxing by the water and sipping a cool drink is worth 5⭐, but everyone is also friendly and the prices are reasonable. Only the train traffic over the bridge slightly disrupts the conversation 😉

A very, very quiet place to chill and enjoy a nice beer. A dream.

This place has a very special atmosphere. Located directly under the railway bridge, overlooking the approach path and right on the river, it offers a unique charm. Across the river is a sewage treatment plant, which lends the place a certain unusualness. People don't come here to be seen or to show off, but to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

Pretty good for a beach bar right on the banks of the Main. Apart from a bratwurst and a Hellesbier (both were delicious), I can't comment on any other food or drinks. The only thing that's a bit annoying is the noisy trains on the bridges above.

Super nice little spot on the Main River. Recommended in hot weather. Fair prices. Dogs welcome. A bit difficult to reach, but manageable on foot from Niederrad. They serve snacks.

Restrooms are clean. Simply a great location. We'll be using it again this summer before it unfortunately closes at the end of the year due to bridge renovations.

A cult-like location A kind of kiosk with plenty of seating on the Main River, serving drinks and grilled food. And above you, the DB trains pass by. It's a must-see. I love coming here.

The Orange Beach, run by Olaf, is a "small institution," or rather, this drinking establishment is a little insider tip for the summer. When the grill is fired up, you can also get something to eat here. You can sit here on the banks of the Main River and watch the sunset in the evening. The passing boats and the flowing river provide a relaxing atmosphere.

You should definitely come here while it's still open. Unfortunately, it will soon be closed due to the Regional Tangente West highway.

If you like rustic and simple surroundings, with friendly people and good drinks, this is the place for you. You won't find any white tablecloths here, and that's a good thing.

World-class location, located directly on the Main. Lots of seating (beer tent sets, beach chairs, deck chairs) and bar tables. Everything was kept simple but very cozy and authentic. A dream for beer drinkers, around 15-20 different types of beer, bottle for €3.50 - €4 I think is completely fine for a perfectly chilled blonde. The operator is unique, super friendly and enjoys chatting with his guests. A grill is available if you're a little hungry. It's a shame that it's over at the end of the year because of the new bridge. I will definitely come here a few more times.

Cult beer garden on the northwest bank of the Main. Hard to beat in summer - when it comes to views and beer selection. Pro tip: It's best to bring something to eat yourself (if you're a vegetarian) and then just sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

Pretty run-down beer garden in western Gallus. It's already past its best and - because it's on the tracks - it's too loud too often. It's hard to understand why there are so many 4-star reviews here.

An oasis with charm, torn between the calmly flowing Main and the trains rattling over the steel bridge. If I lived in Frankfurt it would definitely be one of my favorite places. I can't write anything about the food but the man behind the counter is an original.

A pearl of Frankfurt - unfortunately it has become too rare. You sit directly on the Main in a beautiful atmosphere. Has a little bit of the flair of St. Pauli. There is also live music there every now and then and the evening sun comes around the corner. I think the grilled sausages are delicious, but there is no vegetarian option. At least I haven't seen anything there yet. For example, halloumi or something else grilled vegetarian could be added.

I'd like to answer Maike's review just below because this is completely unfair for the Orange Beach... What makes you think we weren't enjoying the music?! So because we are there with children or not 20 yo anymore we can't party? FYI there was actually a birthday going on, the Eintracht Frankfurt just had won the Bundesliga game, we were enjoying the last days of summer and the music was fire ! I think you just got the whole concept of this place wrong and weren't at the right place, maybe opt for a regular bar or cafe next time but it's quite common to have those enhanced Trinkhallees here so if it's not your vibe then just don't come instead of writing unfair comments 🤷‍♂️ NB: Shout out to the Orange Beach team & the DJs, those tracks really were bangers 🎶😎 immer wieder gerne ❤ NBB i'd also like to precise before someone thinks I’m defending my staff friends that i wasn't part of those events, it was also my first time here, I’m not even German 😁

Nice view of the Main, but feels a bit shabby/grungy. There was hectic party music blasting despite it being afternoon and only a few people around; the audience was families, older people and chilled couples, not party types. The DJ clearly did not pay attention or care about his audience. Nice idea for the setting but the train constantly thundering overhead sadly ruins it a bit. Not as nice as it looks from the photos.

Amazing hidden spot in FFM. Very chill and lovely. Best accessible with bike. There is a kiosk that serves beer and wine. I really love this place! In my opinion they could also do burgers as they have a grill, but still amazing, 4 Euro for a glass of 0.2 wine
