Whenever I'm craving an Italian dolce vita, I come here. 😍 Unfortunately, it's become a bit too expensive for a self-service restaurant. But the view makes up for the high prices. 🙏😉

We only had a drink but it was quite comfortable there

We were there spontaneously on a Monday evening. That's probably why we managed to get a seat on the terrace by the water. I know it's always very busy on weekends. You sit with a great view over the water. Drinks are self-service, and they were delicious. Prices are slightly higher, typical of a restaurant with a view.

Very expensive, I paíd €4,50 for a diet Coke. Cards payment just from €10

Very fun concept. No staff, just self-service. Delicious pizzas and tasty drinks for a very reasonable price.

You sit here right by the lake with a view of Lietzensee. It's wonderful! Self-service, and you can enjoy the sunset. The crowd is very friendly. A wonderful area in Charlottenburg. Highly recommended! I always enjoy coming here.🥳🎉👌🏼

The location is great, of course, but the prices are like the big guys. A mediocre Aperol for €9.50 is quite a tad steep.

Sitting right on the Lietzensee and drinking coffee. A bit more expensive.

Self-service. Cappuccino with great foam and the cake as if it were homemade and the cream... You can sit inside and outside with a blanket in winter, watch people and meet nice people.

It's lovely to sit by the lake. Prices of €4 to €5 for a beer are completely normal in big cities with a view like this. If you want to pay less, go to the Berlin corner pub. There are still plenty of them. And for good, inexpensive food, there are other places. They also serve you 🤣. Go to the boathouse to sit by the water and enjoy the view of the lake.

I was really shocked at how expensive a 0.4 liter beer is. Okay, and you're sitting right by the lake, but in the evening, it's not for arachnophobes...

The ambience compensates for the really bad coffee

Nice ambiance - prices are very high, especially for self-service: Example: wheat beer €6, 0.2 lemonade €4, wow The food menu is bland and overpriced. It's a shame - they could do so much more with this place.

Its a self service cafe. Loved the food there. I ordered strawberry cake and ice coffee, both were tasty. The cake was a bit sugary for my taste, but still good. They also have ice cream with a good variety of flavours. A great place to have a bit with a scenic view.

Just to enjoy the beautiful view, just sit 20 meters further down the lake. The operator shamelessly exploits the location to charge exorbitant prices for very poor quality. Completely overpriced... Both for drinks, but especially for food and ice cream. Cheap quality, poorly prepared. Especially since it's self-service. Conclusion: The view and ambiance are quite nice - but the restaurant offers a disastrous price-performance ratio.

Crazy expensive. A bottle of self-service wheat beer costs €6. How's that possible? Here in Upper Franconia, at the Gasthof Peter, a half-liter of draft beer costs €2.80.

The view is breathtaking and the terrace is very nice. I’d recommend to eat somewhere else. At least our dish was like something that would be served in a prison rather than a restaurant.

Self-service! Wonderful place! In the heart of Berlin, dreamily situated on a lakeside jetty, surrounded by nature! A place to unwind, only to be back in the hustle and bustle of the city five minutes later! Perfect!

Great location. But unfortunately, there's no service, so it's too expensive. The restrooms at Bahnhof Zoo are much cleaner. The owner/manager should be ashamed of himself. Disgusting.

The wooden terrace offers a lovely view of Lake Lietzensee. Large parasols protect you from the sun. I find the prices a bit high for a self-service café. But the homemade lemonade tastes refreshing and delicious.

Cute café by the lake in the middle of town. A little oasis. From pasta to pizza to currywurst... from Aperol to Spezi to coffee. There's a wide selection! :) Self-service with friendly staff behind the cash register. The view is fantastic. Card payments accepted. Restrooms available and okay.

Great spot right on the lake, a real beer garden. Self-service is okay. However, the prices are abysmally high. A "homemade" lemonade, made with bottled juice and water, costs €7.00... Update from May 20, 2025: That was certainly the last time I was there. Iced coffee with one scoop of vanilla ice cream from a canister, whipped cream from a spray bottle, and two coffee beans = €9.00

Update 2025: Stella is still top-notch, both food and drinks. Unfortunately, there are guests who block a table for hours with a small glass of water, then complain about the prices even though they never eat anything (and push that one miserable glass of water back and forth in front of them), and don't know that Stella is forced by the district to open the restrooms for park visitors - that's just how they sometimes look. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Berlin Summer 2018 at Bootshaus Stella was simply fantastic - well-chilled drinks and first-class cuisine - a great team - thank you very much!

I love the atmosphere of this Café, especially during sunny days. Even when it's cold, they offer you a blanket. I love going there and sitting close to the lake. Just make sure to check the opening hours before. The food is good, but I have to say that I go there more for the view.

I had a wonderful afternoon and evening; we were able to talk here for hours without being disturbed. The atmosphere was relaxed. The view of the lake is breathtaking and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Good cappuccino. Toilets are available, I would like to see more cleanliness and care/ventilation.

If you're looking for a relaxing break on the outskirts of West Berlin, this might be the right place for you. Super nice, sunny terrace directly on the north bank of the Lietzensee. You quickly forget the surrounding urban jungle. There is "only" self-service and you have to expect a short waiting time when the weather is nice, but the staff is really great, super friendly and always tries to accommodate even small extra requests. Really great! Thanks for the lovely hours!

Can't understand why someone wrote a review yesterday even though the café has been closed since the end of November, i.e. for more than 5 weeks (winter closing time).

Very nice location The Stella boathouse serves delicious dishes, various cakes, ice cream and a variety of drinks. I've already tried a few things, everything tasted great. Order drinks etc. in the boathouse, the waitress doesn't come to the tables. Not that cheap, but you just have to treat yourself to it, on the terrace with a view of Lake Lietzen when the weather is nice. Relaxed atmosphere, mixed audience. It's always nice to go there and unwind. But when the weather is fantastic, the terrace is packed and there is almost no space left.

Top location! That was it then... Loveless, dingy, flippant counter, zero service, extremely overpriced food and drinks. Although at times an Italian does not “cook” food that tastes good, whether pizzas, pasta, salads... frozen cakes

The café lives from the location. Unfortunately, coffee doesn't taste good at all and the prices are extremely high. However, the view is very nice.

Service is very nice, but not particularly capable. Prices are 25% too high: wheat beer €6.5 / normal pizza €15 / pretzel €4 // all with the same service.

Terras aan water van de Lietzensee trekt vanwege de locatie veel bezoekers. Dat weet ook de uitbater die dat met zijn zaakje volledig uitbuit. De kaart is zozo. Kwaliteit wijn benedenmaats, bediening onvriendelijk: prijs-kwaliteit niet in orde.

Such a beautiful place! Nature in the middle of the city. Easily accessible from the Sophie-Charlotte subway station. Self-service on the terrace.

You live in the exceptionally good location. The prices are high but the store is full (I think everything was done right so far). You have to get the goods at the Teesen and some of them are already queuing outside the door. When you come out, you can't find a table anymore...but somehow it always works out and you have to wait a while standing. I can't say much about the food. Had a pizza once (it was ok) and a few Viennese.

I have known this place for many years and have visited it frequently. Even now I still go there from time to time. I like the lively atmosphere and the pizza tastes good, as do the drinks. However, prices have risen somewhat in recent years, but it is still within reason.
