Besides tasty beer, there are various alcoholic and for Berlin typical nonalcoholic drinks being offered. The food is a great way to balance out the beer and even a breakfast is available in the morning hours before the regular bar routine begins. Locals and tourists can enjoy the place equally, which makes it easy to learn about Berlin and it's citizens. I give it a recommendation for its authentic and charming vibe. Definitely worth a visit after an exhausting trip in the Kreuzberg city life. Huge plus: you can pay by card or smartphone, which was unusual for bars in Berlin when I wrote this summary 5 years ago.

I have rarely eaten worse. On the last day before the end of the season there was only a small selection, so bratwurst with potato salad. Bratwurst partially grilled black, totally dry, stuck in an old dry piece of white bread. The potato salad went like this. And all of this for a whopping 11.50 euros.

Beautiful tavern style, lots of places to relax with friends and a barbecue bar to nibble sausages. I recommend the potato salad and hummus!

Cash payment is refused, only card payment is possible. Totally wrong for a beer garden, that's not possible. Never again. It's a shame that the boss completely ruined this great location.

Wow what a find. Big cheap portions of natural simple homemade food. Lots of room. Fresh air and cool space indoors too.

It's a nice beer garden in itself, but I can't give it more than one star when the young male staff talks about other people and uses the term "Schwu*****" in a derogatory way. I was not the target of this verbal attack. But it is fundamentally unacceptable for people to talk about other people in this way. The whole thing happened on Tuesday evening, September 10th. at around 7/7.30 p.m. Why do such people work in service?

Food was good. I particularly liked the potato salad. In order to be served at the food stand, you have to make yourself clearly noticeable, otherwise you will be ignored.

Well, the ruble has to roll. For a cyclist, queuing for 30 minutes and €4.90 is quite steep. Don't forget to clean up the glass. A neck steak 8.50 is also going too far. So you can do it, but you don't have to...🤔🤔

Best beer garden in Kreuzberg! I'm looking forward to another season! What's annoying is that you can only pay with a card outside. And the offering has been expanded somewhat for non-meat eaters. But it can be expanded! Edit 2023: the culinary offering is still sad for non-meat eaters. The vegetarian sausage tastes underground! But I still enjoy being there, even if I miss the old crew. Edit 2024: The food is becoming more varied for non-meat eaters, but the sea bream is always out. Although it's on the menu, I've never been able to try it. "It's over!"

Hmm - in short: there are far nicer beer gardens in Berlin. Choice of food was limited and the salads were ok, but not better. It was rather empty - and we had to wait a while for a few sausages - that could certainly be done more efficiently (5 p.m. is certainly not off-peak time either). Didn't “flash” us - hence a decent 3 stars.

It was 2 years ago, but we didn't like it. The vibe was sleepy chill. Young parents with babies and kids seem to congregate here. Most tables had signs saying they're reserved. It felt like an odd vibe. Babies took a stroll wherever, going into the restaurant, getting in the way of the servers, with parents not to be seen or didn't care because they were so involved in their conversations. They were okay with their kids throwing the biergarten's rocks onto the stairs and things or were not paying attention to their offspring that they cared. It was a very weird vibe. Go here if you have a baby, toddler, or very young kids. Beer was okay, person working there was very nice, it was pretty empty when we were there, odd, narrow spacing. Yeah, odd vibe. We didn't feel comfortable, so we left before finishing our beer. It felt like it was a place exclusively for young parents with small children or babies. Crawling around, stumbling about with parents carelessly in their own world. Very weird. Tired and depressing vibe.

All in all an interesting place, very well attended which again speaks for the location. The staff is very friendly and you should remember that ONLY CARD PAYMENT is accepted and NO cash. For my part, I can recommend the location.

A small hidden beer garden on the "Kreuzberg". It was our first time here and we had trouble finding it. Just a small sign directly at a park entrance on Katzbachstraße, additional signs would be attached here in the park. Otherwise a beer garden with mostly benches, most of which are in the sun. Of course, there are also a few comfortable places with backrests and cushions in the shade, but you should come in good time for this. It is self-service here and the selection of drinks and food is sufficient. In my opinion, the prices are a bit too high for this beer garden. Payments are only made by card here. There are two bus lines that take you almost to the door, which is advisable because parking spaces are really scarce here!!

A great place to go and hangout with friends. The seat layout was a bit crowded and the menu doesn’t have much choices but that doesn’t ruin the place. Still the ambience was nice and there were options on menu for anyone to choose.

I was on busy Saturday here was everything amazing, I love the team that work here very nice and friendly guys but the potatoe salad was not that good!

Nice beer garden, but miserable bike racks

Not suitable for company parties, staff are forgetful, even if you give them a piece of paper, they can't manage to get everything completely ready. There is no collective bill, my boss had to go to the bar to pay for every beer. That was extremely annoying. I hereby give back the trouble I had because of you. Never again Golgotha.

Ich bin seit vielen Jahren Stammgast hier und bin auch gerne gekommen. Leider sind die Preise aber inzwischen zu teuer und es geht für mich gar nicht, dass man nur noch mit Karte bezahlen kann. Das ist für mich ein Grund, mir ein anderes Ambiente zum Chillen zu suchen.

In general you can say that this place is a beer garden in the higher price category. However, the quality of the food and drinks on offer is correspondingly good. It is often said that guests have problems finding this location, but I find it difficult to explain this.

In the exceptional situation of the 2024 European Championships, I found a surprising audience and, for Berlin, nice service. Clear recommendation!

Was there for the German European Championship game... of course it was super full. But you really have a variety of options to get drinks... it was really well organized. Bratwurst from the grill took longer... but it was really tasty. The men's toilet also worked great... but with so many people I have no idea why that was actually the case :)

It's a little strange that there is no Berlin beer here of all places and instead you only get Bavarian beer without any alternative. You can't say anything about the service, because there is simply no service, just self-service. So unfortunately only recognition for the ambience - a shame!

Such a beautiful beer garden, unfortunately the employees at the bar just ruined our day. We ordered 4 beers, but there was a misunderstanding with the order and we got 2. No matter, I then said I would like 2 more beers. Then I was attacked as if it was my fault that she took her order incorrectly. The tone and facial expression didn't work at all. Dealing with us was truly one of the worst experiences I have had. A person like that just needs to do another job if they're so frustrated with guests.

Was there at noon on Saturday and almost had the place to myself. It is a bit hard to find but once you are there you will not want to leave.

Located in a beautiful park. Though it’s a bit small and tables are close together, making stroller navigation tricky, the cozy couches are a nice touch. The food selection is very good, especially the chili sausage, which is a rare find in Berlin beer gardens.

I did a reservation and it was cancelled, please make rules clear if youre not going to allow reservations.

It's nicely located in Victoria Park, but there are definitely even nicer corners in Berlin for a little while with drinks and snacks.

There was a very long queue at the food stand. So we just had a drink and went somewhere else.

So if you're really hungry, you should look for something else. When I read Beer Garden + German Home Cooking, I expect more in advance. It's a good idea to read reviews beforehand, although they aren't very informative either. Prices quite high for what is offered. Next election will be different.

Nice place on the edge of Gleisdreieck Park. The potato salad was homemade and unfortunately you don't see that often in most beer gardens anymore. Wonderful.

Been here again for ages. Good thing we had reservations, otherwise it would probably have been difficult to get a place. Ça commençait mal pour dénicher ce Biergarten et en arrivant quelle stupeur de voir qu’un samedi midi, vers 13h30, il n’y avait que 3 personnes à boire une bière, personne à manger. Ils ont du allumer les plaques de barbecue pour nous. Cela faisait une ambiance un peu morose pourtant sous un beau soleil. Bizarre ! À refaire dans une meilleure ambiance parce que là c’est décevant pour un Biergarten !

We just celebrated a birthday at Calvary after having already celebrated our wedding there. The service was friendly and nice, after a few teething problems things went well :) When it comes to food, this time I'm just referring to the drinks (since we had our own catering). The drinks were very tasty and the price-performance ratio was just right. We are already planning the next celebration 😉 Our 80s party was a success!

Winterpartyim Golgatha - A great location with super nice distributors! Right from the start I felt like I was in good hands and supported! Absolutely reliable and very nice before, during and after the ceremony! Drinks were great and fair prices! Absolute recommendation! And I'd love to come back too!

Large beer garden, but there is only one TV outside to watch football. There is a screen and more televisions inside.

What, you still haven't been there? Then I'd rather not advertise... otherwise it will be even more crowded in the summer. A truly almost holy place, it has been in the park for a long time, as far as I know the tenant gave it to her son and he is doing well. I had to swallow a bit at the new prices, but I'll accept that. The history of this beer garden is special, treat it well and behave yourself so that there isn't another huge lawsuit from new residents who think there shouldn't be anything like that in a park. Keep it up!

I've been going to Golgatha for decades now, but when I discovered on Saturday that even beer tables were now being reserved, I had to laugh and shake my head. The glasses are not put away. The potato salad tasted terrible. Folks, what happened to Calvary? Edit: Since the Golgatha is currently taking legal action against bad reviews via a lawyer, I would like to make it clear that I have no business relationship with the Golgatha and only spent the evening (in June 2023) at the Golgatha as a paying customer/visitor.

Was ist eigentlich eine Google Rezession wert, wenn sie nach Beschwerde des Geschäftsinhabers gelöscht wird? Wenn ich mich also darauf beziehe, dass man, wie in meinem Fall, extrem lange für Getränke anstehen muss und dann noch mal genauso lange am Grill, statt das vielleicht zusammen zu führen, dann ist das also ein Verstoß gegen die Google Richtlinien. Geht’s noch?

Total überfordertes Personal, dass viel zu langsam arbeitet. Für Besuche mit anderen Personen im Kontext eines Geschäftsessen mit größerer Personenanzahl komplett ungeeignet. Klarstellungen: Ich habe keine Geschäftsbeziehung mit dem Besitzer oder ein Geschäftsessen mit den Vereinen gemeint. Der Eigentümer versucht anwaltlich schlechte Bewertung unter dem Deckmantel falscher Behauptungen zu löschen.

Came here our first night in Berlin - it was right across the street from our AirBnB - they have veggie wurst and great Radlers. Fantastic atmosphere, good price. Wanted to come here again before we left, but we ran out of time...

Toller Biergarten, einer unserer Lieblingsorte in Berlin. Wäre schön, wenn sie mehr veganes und glutenfreies Essen anbieten würden.

Das Ambiente ist schön, in der Nähe sind auch Spielplätze, im Biergarten gibt es nichts für Kinder. Ansonsten hat man die Wahl zwischen klassischen Bierbänken und gemütlicher Couchgarnitur. Das Essen war basic und nichts besonderes, aber durchaus gut. Eben was man in einem Biergarten erwarten würde. (Leider keine Berliner Bouletten, oder Pommes) Die Jungs am Grill waren nicht sehr freundlich. Eher abweisend, hat ne Weile gedauert, bis man bedient wurde. Bei den Getränken, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen waren sie sehr freundlich. Ich würde wieder hin gehen, würde aber meine Erwartungen etwas runter schrauben.

Leider waren die veganen Speisen wie Hummusteller, Grillkartoffel, Maiskolben oder Tomatensalat nicht verfügbar. Und die Cocktails haben ewig gebraucht. Aber davon abgesehen wirklich eine tolle Location und auch die Preise sind in Ordnung.
