This beer garden is a total surprise. Tucked away between a park and a sports field in Kreuzberg, Berlin, is a lovely beer garden. It's cozy and classic outside, while the interior is chic and cool for an evening! The food is varied and delicious. The beers are impressive, including Bavarian draft beer in the capital. We'll be back next year!

Love this place. Classic Berlin beer garden

Great for families, friends, spouse and everyone else. It's a cozy atmosphere, a little on the modern side (don't expect a Bavarian Biergarten), but doesn't feel out of place. It's also perfect for celebrations of any kind, they have very fair deals you should check out. You can, without a problem, easily reserve tables for 50 people online without needing to call anyone. It's always full of life, sometimes it can be a bit packed, and a bit expensive in comparison, but always worth a visit!

You can go there... They had great pretzels, just like in Munich.

This is one of Berlin's hidden gems, not so easy to find if you're not a local. Delicious German sausages, fresh German beer and a calm, leisurely atmosphere, where you can spend time. p.s. There's a beautiful waterfall in the park nearby, which you can go to after your meal.

🇩🇪 It's actually really nice to have a beer garden right next door 🍺. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite have the cozy beer garden atmosphere I'm used to from Bavaria 🇩🇪🌳. There are a few swings, but they're almost always occupied. The benches are very close together, so you quickly find yourself behind your neighbor. In summer, there's also a big problem: wasps 🐝! You constantly have to change seats, and if you're sitting in the blazing sun, you're immediately at risk of another sunburn ☀️. A few parasols and a little more space between the tables would certainly work wonders here. The beer is okay 🍻. As a vegetarian, I'm happy that they offer a vegetarian bratwurst 🌱, but unfortunately, it's pretty tasteless and not particularly seasoned. It also takes quite a long time to cook. When you order, you get a box that beeps loudly and flashes when the food is ready – practical, but also a bit uncomfortable. Another thing I noticed: The staff could be friendlier 🙂. You can tell you're in Berlin. I've experienced much more cordial service in New York, and a more cheerful tone would certainly make up for it here. One more thing: the staff could be a little friendlier 🙂. It definitely has that typical Berlin vibe, but coming from New York, I’m used to warmer, more welcoming service. A bit more cheerfulness from the team would go a long way. All in all, it would be great if they managed to bring a little more of that authentic Bavarian beer garden feeling here 🌿🥨.

It's a really nice beer garden tucked inside Victoria park. Large enough to just walk in on most days. It has ground floor seating, sofas ans even a couple of swings which is really cool. They have an upper floor too with an additional small bar if you want to take in the sunshine. They serve food and have a indoor eating space as well. Service is quiet slow though, and lacking music to create a bit of an atmosphere. It's great for groups or when you want to chill and talk.

Golgatha Biergarten is a bit out of the way. When I'm in Berlin in the summer, it's always worth a visit. Cool drinks, small snacks (which I haven't tried yet), but all in all, a little oasis in the big city!

I've been here for years and several times a season. I'll have to consider whether I'll continue. We were there with friends on a Saturday night when the entire cash register system was broken (payment only with debit cards), and the young employees at the grill bar and the drinks counter had to absorb the guests' frustration. We left after half an hour, frustrated. The owners really should consider an alternative payment method for cases like this. And definitely give their employees a bonus after days like this. Two stars for the location and out of pure nostalgia.

Nice people, nice food, nice atmosphere. Well it’s more than that. Everything in our lives is nice but this place deserves special credit for the friendly people at the BBQ and the quality of the food. I mean 5€ for this perfectly grilled Dorade with the salad is just more than justified, Frey, tasty food, what else do you want? I’ll be back on my next visit to the city I have been born in!

In my opinion, this is one of the most unlovable beer gardens in Berlin. And the Kreuzberg alternative crowd doesn't make it any more attractive. Kids are allowed to jump around on the lounge furniture with their shoes on and smear their ice cream without their parents even saying a word. The children's playground is right next door.

Great place to visit. The ambiance is fun, the beer tastes good and the bathrooms are clean. Wonderful place to sit with your friends and play some games. It’s self service. I would say the food looked a bit dry and tasteless, so I didn’t try it myself.

Unfortunately, my visit was unsatisfactory. I made the reservation to watch the DFB Cup final with friends. After confirming the online reservation, I was assured by phone that I would be able to watch the game from my reserved table. Unfortunately, on the day of the game, we were led to an area where there was no television, and we couldn't watch the game. We were then told that it was not possible to make reservations in the area with the televisions, which made us all wonder why this was explicitly promised.

The drinks were stale and the waiters were completely overwhelmed. I won't be back.

It was the DFB Cup final. It was clear that many people would want to spend the evening in the beer garden. And what happened? Two small screens, and they didn't even have sound. The beer garden advertises live Bundesliga coverage, but for a cup final, it wasn't possible to get larger screens or even have sound. Hundreds of people watched the final without sound. A huge disappointment.

We were here to watch the cup final between Stuttgart and Bielefeld. Golgatha was even explicitly recommended on the VfB website. When we arrived, however, we were very surprised to see that there were only two relatively small TVs in the entire outdoor area, mounted in very awkward positions on the wall, and that from most seats, you would have unfortunately been required to have binoculars with you. Yes, there was also a screen inside and a small TV by the bar. But the indoor area is really very small, and, logically, there was no room left. When the game was played on the "mini TVs" without sound at kickoff, and you could hardly hear any of the goals at all, we left Golgatha quite frustrated. I can't recommend the otherwise nice beer garden for watching football at all. It was a complete mystery to me why it was touted as one of THE venues. What a shame...

Nice location and friendly staff, but the prices... €7.50 for a thin slice of Leberkäse in a piece of baguette? €6 for a Kolbasz? And €4.50!!!! for a Jägermeister shot? Sorry, but I'm not going to do that anymore...

Nice, in a nice place. You only pay by card, and you learn this when you're already there obviously, which is difficult because it's in a park, so you have to walk. Nice food, more expensive than other similar places. We went at an off-peak time, and while it wasn't crowded, there was a long wait for the food. For this type of cuisine, it's not justified. And the potato salad is delicious, but it's like it was literally thrown from afar into the bowl... I would have liked it to have music. These are small emotions.

The food was okay, but not a highlight – rather moderately good. If you come for the mood and the ambience, you will definitely get your money's worth here. Absolutely recommended for a cold beer in good company!

Drinks service is incredibly fast... unfortunately the two at the grill shine with complete incompetence... they forget to order, they say you will be called after ordering and after 20 minutes you are asked if you would like to order something (I was standing right next to them Stood the whole time)… don't know what other salads they have…. I have rarely eaten worse. On the last day before the end of the season there was only a small selection, so bratwurst with potato salad. Bratwurst partially grilled black, totally dry, stuck in an old dry piece of white bread. The potato salad went like this. And all of this for a whopping 11.50 euros.

It was 2 years ago, but we didn't like it. The vibe was sleepy chill. Young parents with babies and kids seem to congregate here. Most tables had signs saying they're reserved. It felt like an odd vibe. Babies took a stroll wherever, going into the restaurant, getting in the way of the servers, with parents not to be seen or didn't care because they were so involved in their conversations. They were okay with their kids throwing the biergarten's rocks onto the stairs and things or were not paying attention to their offspring that they cared. It was a very weird vibe. Go here if you have a baby, toddler, or very young kids. Beer was okay, person working there was very nice, it was pretty empty when we were there, odd, narrow spacing. Yeah, odd vibe. We didn't feel comfortable, so we left before finishing our beer. It felt like it was a place exclusively for young parents with small children or babies. Crawling around, stumbling about with parents carelessly in their own world. Very weird. Tired and depressing vibe.

All in all an interesting place, very well attended which again speaks for the location. The staff is very friendly and you should remember that ONLY CARD PAYMENT is accepted and NO cash. For my part, I can recommend the location.

A small hidden beer garden on the "Kreuzberg". It was our first time here and we had trouble finding it. Just a small sign directly at a park entrance on Katzbachstraße, additional signs would be attached here in the park. Otherwise a beer garden with mostly benches, most of which are in the sun. Of course, there are also a few comfortable places with backrests and cushions in the shade, but you should come in good time for this. It is self-service here and the selection of drinks and food is sufficient. In my opinion, the prices are a bit too high for this beer garden. Payments are only made by card here. There are two bus lines that take you almost to the door, which is advisable because parking spaces are really scarce here!!
