Huge beer garden, unique view of the water, food and drink prices are quite steep, and you're not allowed to bring your own food. The restrooms are worth mentioning. They're always clean, with soap and running hot water. The changing table for dads who change diapers themselves is in keeping with the times.

Enjoyed the beer garden in beautiful weather. Placed my order at the counter (self-service). I ordered a bowl which was already ready and uncooled on the counter. Apparently a guest hadn't picked it up. I asked the lady how long it had been there and I was assured it was freshly prepared. I enjoyed it and luckily everything went well. However, I would like to see food made from fresh ingredients refrigerated before being sold when it's almost 30 degrees Celsius. The cool wheat beer was a blessing in this weather.

A great beer garden right on the Spree River. The location and setting are simply a delight, perfect for sitting there for a while with a beer, wine, or water and observing life on the Spree. Afterwards, a stroll to the neighboring Island of Youth—what more could you want? A wonderful location.

Very nice atmosphere! Despite the rather high prices (but not much higher than other places), you definitely get value for your money. There's plenty of space on the premises, so even when it's full, you can usually find a spot somewhere.

The Zenner is an inn located at Alt-Treptow 15–17 in the Berlin district of Berlin-Alt-Treptow. It was originally built in the early 19th century as a day-trip restaurant on the banks of the Spree River. The current building is a new building constructed in the 1950s with the same cubic volume as the original, which has been undergoing extensive renovation since 2020. The entire property covers an area of approximately 8,000 square meters and, including the garden, is a listed building.

Since everything is self-service, I only give the service three stars. When it's busy, you might have to wait in line to order food and drinks. However, you can also order via QR code. I like to wind down the evening here in Treptower Park after a pedal boat ride.

After reopening a few years ago after a long hiatus, the beer garden has become a staple for everyone living nearby and beyond. There are enough seats to find a spot even on particularly warm days. The drinks and food are of good quality, and the prices are reasonable. A lovely place.

The seating is very pleasant and the view is stunning. The food is "smart" compared to other beer gardens, with dishes like Korean fried chicken with siracha mayo and fries; but you can also get the beer garden classics here. There's also an ice cream shop if you want ice cream for dessert.

An absolute favorite spot in Berlin – the Zenner Biergarten is the perfect blend of relaxed atmosphere, great location right on the Spree, and a really good selection! I'd especially like to highlight the Radler – super refreshing, perfectly blended, and ideal for a sunny afternoon outdoors. You can tell they care about quality here. Even vegans feel very welcome here! There are a surprising number of vegan options, not just as side dishes, but also well-thought-out dishes that are also absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, the crowd was pleasantly diverse, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

Früher hab ich mich hier nie rein getraut, aber seit der Neubewirtschaftung finde ich es hier top: es gibt BRLO IPA und anderes tolles Bier vom Fass, lecker Essen zu okayen Preisen und ausreichend Toiletten die nix kosten. Also alles supi, was will man mehr?

Simply a great place to spend an evening. The view and location are perfect! Parking is available. The food is good, and there's something for everyone to drink. There's also a playground.

Beer and Biergarten are good, but the food is awful. Don't order Bunte Biergarten Bowl and Bio-Bratwurst.

I think this beer garden thrives on the fact that it's a beer garden, and beer gardens are simply rare in Berlin. The garden's ambiance, of course, comes from the historic site/building and its location on the water. However, this place lacks charm: it's a tidy, tourist-sized beer garden. On the day of our visit, the garden was about 85% full. The grilled fish advertised on the board at the entrance couldn't be found. Instead, there were three ordering counters, each with an extremely long line. We resigned ourselves to our fate and got our drinks after about 18 minutes, but the food took about 40 minutes, and by then, the drinks were already gone. There was no point in queuing again. The lines were still long. The food arrived lukewarm, and there were no more knives. We were allowed to use wooden ones. Overall, a rather unsatisfying experience. I won't be coming back; I'll rather focus on the cultural center on the Island of Youth. Or just take a picnic for the park. Because it wasn’t fun in the Zenner beer garden.

More like a snack bar in the garden, from what I saw. By Friday, there were huge lines everywhere...at the outside counter, at the restrooms, and parking is hard to come by there on weekends. I knew this place, so it was just a good place to meet up to pick up a friend without eating. Otherwise, it had a nice, romantic view of the river. During the week, this place is definitely a great place to relax during your lunch break and in the evening!

I'm sitting here in the beer garden right now... I came from Lake Chiemsee and wanted to order something to eat, but accidentally stood at the food counter. A young woman with a baseball cap and braids on both sides, at the cash register, asked me if I wanted to take other people's food. I politely apologized, as I'm not from here, but from Lake Chiemsee. That should have been enough. But she didn't stop. She continued to insult me ​​in front of other guests, even when I gave them the wrong money. It went on and on. Her ENTIRELY ABUSIVE manner also demonstrated that she had no desire to be here at all. And it went on, and then I had had enough. As a former head chef, I would have thrown her out immediately. Dear owners... but I know, these days you have to take what you get. They're supposed to work until they're 70. Shame. It's a great place to rest under the old trees or just lounge around all day. I used to come here as a little kid, and it's still nice to sit here. The prices have just gone up a bit. Of course, you can't get a bockwurst for 50 pfennigs anymore, but you have to be willing to shell out a tenner for a pair of curry fries. Add a soda or two and it's starting to look interesting for a classic self-service beer garden.

In stark contrast to the ambiance are the women's restrooms, truly impossible to use because they're ancient and extremely unkempt. Some don't have toilet paper, and the cubicles are so narrow that you can barely get in without having to say hello to the toilet bowl. This makes me wonder why no investment has been made. Definitely worth a visit. It's quiet in a bustling city. Young and old people sit side by side, with a view of the Spree. The food is pretty expensive considering the portion size. Currywurst with fries costs almost €10. You'll have to catch your breath. But you don't have to eat anything there; drinks are enough. The place isn't in the blazing sun and is shaded by trees and umbrellas. I loved it there and will definitely come back.

War mit mit meiner Familie mal wieder in Berlin unterwegs. Da wollten wir mal aus nostalgischen Gründen in den Zenner im Treptower Park und siehe da das ist nicht mehr Der Zenner den ich aus meiner Jugend kannte 😔. Ich hatte gehört dass er Renoviert bzw Restauriert wurde. Augenscheinlich macht es einen guten Eindruck aber das Essen und Trinken Konzept und das es keine Live Musik von einer Kapelle mehr geben und das am Wochenende wo alle gut drauf sind fand ich echt Unterirdisch Getränke Teuer und vom Essen ganz zuschweigen. Weil ich etwas Stotter hat mich eine Bedienung komisch angeguckt und gegrinst 😳 sorry fand ich nicht so toll.Werde erstmal woanders mein Glück versuchen nen Guten Biergarten zu finden an der Spree zum Glück gibt es ein paar.

Enttäuschung statt Tradition – Zenner Biergarten im Sinkflug Der „Zenner Biergarten“ war einst ein echtes Traditionslokal – heute ist davon leider kaum noch etwas übrig. Unser letzter Besuch war durchweg enttäuschend. Die Speisen sind lieblos und überteuert. Eine Bratwurst im billigen, nahezu ungebackenen Tiefkühlbrötchen zu einem stolzen Preis – darf das wirklich sein? Die „Kalbfrikadellen“ kamen mit einem Kartoffelsalat daher, der stark nach Convenience-Produkt schmeckte. Meine Frau hatte sich für eine Pizza entschieden: hauchdünner Teig, Tomatenmark als Soße und vier traurige Scheiben Salami – das war eher Fast Food als Biergartenküche. Die lange Warteschlange war ohnehin schon mühsam – nach rund 15 Minuten durften wir dann auch noch miterleben, wie die Barfrau ihre offenbar unerfahrene Aushilfe vor den Gästen lautstark zurechtwies. Das passte leider ins Bild: hektisch, unorganisiert und ohne jede Gastfreundschaft. Die Speisekarte erinnert eher an einen x-beliebigen Imbiss am Badesee – beliebig, austauschbar, ohne Liebe zum Detail. Kein Vergleich zu dem, was dieser Ort früher einmal war. Ein Ort, an den man gerne zurückkehrt? Für uns definitiv nicht. Man scheint hier ohnehin eher auf Laufkundschaft und Touristen zu setzen, die ohnehin nur einmal kommen.

A very nice location that invites you to linger. Unfortunately, I find this persistent request for a tip when paying by card incredibly annoying, especially since the self-service option doesn't even provide a service that would justify a tip. And then, when paying by card, asking the customer for a €5 or €10 tip, which the payer has to explicitly decline by pressing a button before paying, is a bit cheeky, in my opinion. Hence only two stars, because the place is nice.

A lovely spot by the water with good public transport connections. Plenty of seating, and the ice cream parlor is also inviting for dessert. The all-inclusive fries platter is great, with a bit of everything – a bowl of green salad would be perfect. We had great weather and enjoyed a lovely evening. We'd be happy to come back!

This terrace snack bar with a long tradition is located in the heart of Treptower Park. There are plenty of benches with trees providing shade. Food and drinks are self-collection. On a busy sunny day, you'll have to wait a long time to order and then another long time to pick up your food. The food served is upscale German snack food. Next door is an ice cream shop with a wide selection. You'll be seated near the water and in the middle of the park, so a bit of a walk is required, whether you arrive by public transport or to the free parking spaces nearby.

Beautiful beer garden right on the water. Unfortunately, the wait for food and drinks is far too long (self-service). The food tasted good, but it was already cold. I would have preferred a bit less football and more music/culture. Update 2025: Unfortunately, the food has gotten even worse. Cold white fries with three tiny pieces of fish just isn't fair for the price.

So, I'm a regular here and will now always leave a review when I visit, because the quality is really starting to fluctuate. And please, at some point, can the changing station be updated! Every time I'm here, the changing mat is super dirty and germy, and there's a used changing pad on it that no one has ever noticed could be removed. About the food: today's cheese spaetzle was so oversalted that I seriously considered returning it. Last time, the portion was very small. So, unfortunately, the quality isn't consistent, but we still enjoy coming here.

Food quality dropped drastically. Previously, for the Berliner Curry Wurst you would get a regular plate with fries, lots of curry wurst and jalapeños for €11,90. Now the same thing costs €10,90, but it comes in the small cardboard thing that the regular fries come in. There was sincerely less than 1 full curry wurst in there, and no jalapeños. The quantity was ridiculous, and some fries were not even properly fried. Recommended only for the beer and the view.

Be careful at the ice cream parlor at Zenner. We paid with a card and only realized at home that they had cheekily deducted a €1.70 tip from our €11 bill without asking us first. The ice cream was delicious, but payment wasn't accepted.

Really boring food. The lukewarm and watery spaghetti bolognese. The Crunchy Chicken Bites were far from crunchy and the accompanying fries were lukewarm. The 2 Fritz orange sodas were fortunately cold … All in all for a price of €29.80 and it was in no way worth it.

I had the beer garden bowl, which was very manageable. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that two ingredients had been forgotten: the crunchy tofu and the bok choy. When I complained, the server swapped the bowl for another, complete one after lifting the lettuce leaf of the new bowl with her bare hands to check if everything was in it. The oak leaf lettuce crunched between my teeth until the last bite, apparently because it hadn't been washed sufficiently. Quite a disappointment for the hefty price. It was hectic, and the atmosphere was rather forced.

The Zenner Biergarten is highly recommended! The location right on the Spree River in Treptower Park is fantastic – perfect for relaxing on a sunny day. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, exactly what you'd expect from a classic Berlin beer garden. The drinks menu is varied, especially the beer selection. The food was also delicious – we particularly enjoyed the pretzels and tarte flambée. The service was friendly and relatively quick despite the large number of guests. Overall, a great place for a relaxing afternoon or evening with friends. I'll definitely be back!
