I was there a week ago to have a beer. The staff behaved really badly. Since I was alone, the staff said I couldn't sit at a table and without asking me if he could, he took my beer and brought it to another table with an unknown person.

Always a good restaurant to have a great view of the Neckar and spend good time in a group. Swabian cuisine is the main attraction here. Their venison is really popular in winter.

Wanted a sausage salad without onions. The waiter took it that way too. The salad came and the visual impression was bad. Then ate the first forkful and there was onion in it. When I complained, the waiter explained to me that they had left out the onion rings. If a chef can't make salad dressing without onions, then he should urgently change his job. Put, six!!!! At least the beer was tasty

We stopped here for dinner one evening during a short stay in Tubingen. Though we did not have a reservation and it appeared to be a busy night, the host was able to seat us quickly. Menus in English were provided. The beer was good, the portions of food (typical German cuisine) were tasty and generous, and the service was attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant. We were able to pay with credit card. Recommended for a good meal in Tubingen.

Location great, the slightly younger male waiter was very friendly. In terms of price, it is of course expensive. This location, a lot of access, a lot of foreigners. 4 heads just under 100€ But the food itself is absolutely standard as it is everywhere. The food was great, and the atmosphere, with the brewery inside and the river outside, was fantastic. However, the server’s insistence on a tip (even though he didn't serve us alone) and his attitude after we didn’t tip left a really bad impression. The service was also not flawless. For example, he forgot a second set of silverware for the dessert, even though we specifically asked for it. Overall, it was a great restaurant, but the server's attitude at the end was unacceptable. When I wished him a good evening (I wasn’t the one paying the bill), he responded with 'Thanks for the tip' in an ironic tone, which left a "Gschmäckle". After my review I got immediately contacted by the restaurant or rather was asked to contact them, They assured me that we did nothing wrong and they do not want their staff to act like that. I hope it was a one off and up'd my review to 4 stars (11 / 3 is 3.6 anyways) to better reflect the great food and atmosphere.

Die Getränke und das Essen (vegetarischem schwäbisch) wurden sehr schnell serviert und es war auch sehr gut. Einen kleinen Salat hatte ich nachbestellt. Auch dieser wurde schnell geliefert. Die Preise vor sind nur etwas hoch. Ansonsten ein sehr grosses Lokal, es war rel. viel los obwohl es donnerstags im Winter war, deswegen etwas lauter. Mich hat es aber nicht gestört.

Good beer and good food. An ideal place if you ever have visitors. Especially in the summer in the beer garden, which is located directly on the Neckar. Unfortunately, in the beer garden itself there are only small things to eat (potato salad, sausage salad, etc.). We went to the restaurant with a large group of more than 70 people and were really impressed! Despite the enormous number of guests, there was virtually no waiting time and everyone was served at the same time - a truly outstanding achievement. The food was excellent. The service is particularly noteworthy: extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell that the team puts a lot of heart into what they do. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening – highly recommended!

When I was at the first time arrived in Tübingen in October,2024, I tried this restaurant with my friend. Everything was ok, the food was ok too but the day after we both had FOOD POISONING, we had DIARRHEA, VOMIT and FEVER. So please avoid this place.

Steak with salad: next time I'll bring the salad from the supermarket, there's salad More appetizing and fresh and crunchy! It's a shame about the money, of course it'll happen so quickly won't go there again - what a shame! It's worth cooking yourself!!!!!

Wir sind spontan zum Mittagessen eingekehrt und haben ohne Reservierung noch Platz erhalten. Das Essen hat uns beiden sehr gemundet. Krautschupfnudeln mit Speck und Brauhausbraten mit Spätzle und Salat. Die Bedienung war freundlich und flink. Können wir weiterempfehlen.

On Saturday lunchtime it was very busy with waiting time. Reservation makes sense. The restaurant has three levels. The toilet can be reached two floors below via the stairwell. The food was very good. The burger is highly recommended with a crispy bun. Various beers await the guest.

Very nice location and nice, attentive service. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us. The food came extremely quickly, which unfortunately suggests that most of it was not freshly prepared. Portions were too small for the price and unfortunately the taste was nothing special.

Unfortunately, the food had nothing to do with Swabian cuisine. These were the worst cheese spaetzle I've ever had... And in the middle of the Ländle. No matter how great the restaurant has a great ambience right on the Neckar, I no longer come to (Swabian) food.

Good service, good atmosphere and the food is pretty good. I have ordered the roasted beef with sautéed onion and i have ordered it medium rare and it gave me a medium rare, I am very happy about this. Their wheat beer is also very nice to drink. Lastly, I also ordered the haxe pork knuckle, it was good, especially the skin part, the meat is half braised which is very good!

Wir waren Mittags im Biergarten - schöner Blick auf dem Neckar, schnelle Verfügbarkeit von Getränken und Kleinigkeiten zum Essen, da man sich in einer der zwei "Schlangen" einreiht und dann quasi im "self service" seine Sachen zum Biertisch bringt. Am Abend dann die "Ernüchterung" - trotz Platzreservierung haben wir einen sehr schlechten Tisch direkt im hinteren (stickigen) Teil der Gaststätte auf der Rückseite mit Blick zum betonierten Anlieferungsbereich erhalten - nach 15 min. ohne Ansprache durch eine Bedienung haben wir das Lokal wieder verlassen.

Delicious food, incredible dealings with foreigners (they gave us a menu in Spanish) and a menu for CELIACOS.

A table was reserved in advance on the terrace and was then moved to the Inn without consultation and other tables were brought forward. The answer you got was 'If you can't do anything then you'll have to go to the service yourself', which was outrageous!

Very very bad service. After 20 minutes there was still no waitress at the table to place the order. And this is the second time. Never, ever again.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food. After waiting half an hour for service, there was no longer any lunch menu at 1 p.m.

Food quality has really decreased significantly over the years and at prices for which you can really expect more. The beautiful location and the good beer remain, but to be honest, it's a real shame that there is no longer good food in this great location.

After a trip with the punting we came here hungry. Good decision! Everything that comes to the table here tastes great. How do I know this? The plates that are cleared are empty. I ate roast pork and onion roast myself, and they were indeed excellent. My thought: Aha, this is what pork can taste like. And that's why we only left blank plates behind. The beer with it was phenomenal and was simply 'breathed away' on this hot day.

Erst denkt man, dass bei der Lage es sicher eine Touristenfalle ist. Aber weit gefehlt. War super lecker! Sehr nette Bedienung! Und das Kellerbier ist mega lecker und super frisch. Nebenbei kann man das Treiben auf dem Neckar beobachten.

Location carina con bella terrazza sul fiume, personale cortese, sorridente ed inglese parlante, prezzo ben modesto… peccato che il cibo faceva così schifo che abbiamo dovuto forzare la memoria per trovare altre esperienze ugualmente pessime, forse qualche anno addietro in Birmania…

Very tasty food. I can recommend the sauerbraten. The sauce tasted excellent and there was plenty of it. The red cabbage tasted excellent. A second dumpling and a little more salt on the dumpling would be the cherry on top. I was a little surprised by the beer. I ordered a Helles and got a Weozen... the menu also says Weisse Hell. I didn't know that but it was super tasty.

The perfect gastronomic experience! Super delicious food, friendly and fast staff and a great ambience. I would just like a little more flexibility with the items you take with you, unfortunately it wasn't possible to carry four bottles of Kellerbier in the carrier. Still full marks, highly recommended.

We ate there for the first time last week. The restaurant has a nice location right on the banks of the Neckar but that's really it. The food doesn't deserve more than 2 stars, sorry. The meat in the roast was very inedible. The spaetzle was OK. The beer as well. The side salad was simply placed in a bowl in a careless and tasteless manner. The apple strudel was well... The absolute hammer was the price of the espresso. €3.30 and that was one of the worst I've ever drunk. Sorry, but that's not how gastronomy works!

Our visit to the restaurant was very unpleasant. My father wanted to have a coffee in the empty restaurant. I was only allowed to stay as a companion if I ordered something. The service was unfriendly and intrusive: “You already know that you are in a restaurant.” Additionally, overpriced prices. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Nice restaurant in Tübingen. Right on the river bank with a great view, you get the perfect atmosphere. The restaurant is very busy, so it is advisable to reserve a seat. A possible reason was probably the high number of visitors that evening. We will definitely stop by here again.

The Neckarmueller delivered! We were a group of 8 people and they made booking via email from the USA super easy and responded quickly. The food was wonderful local fair and we also enjoyed the beers and other beverages. There's a section on the menu with beer schnaps and beer cocktails that was interesting. The views on the Neckar are lovely and we were lucky to sit outside. Very friendly and helpful staff.

AMAZING!! I am not a big reviewer but The views from the back patio are perfect. The service is top notch! The food and the beer absolutely amazing. I had a pretzel and the Weiss Hell. Then the Swabian Maultaschensuppe. A soup with a big meat filled ravioli. Then the Tellerschnitzel with potato salad. Amazing experience
