Saints & Scholars Tübingen in Tübingen

Saint & Scholars is a somewhat larger restaurant and bar in one. It offers indoor and outdoor seating. The servers were rather hectic during our visit. While we were ordering, the ordering machine stopped working and we had to place our order again. It happens. Our food came relatively quickly, except for one occasion which seemed to cause more problems. Instead of potato wedges, they simply served fries. That can happen too. When we pointed this out to the waitress, it took 15 minutes for our correct order to arrive. During our visit, the restaurant was very busy and, in addition to the general noise level, loud music was playing. It was almost impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. The wooden interior is dated. The furniture is clearly showing signs of wear. Some of the tables are set very close together. The food was very tasty. I particularly liked the burgers. The only downside was the processed cheese; it tasted like cheap cheese from a discount store. The salad was rather carelessly prepared with a bit of corn. 3 stars because the food is excellent, every server can have a bad day, and the food and drinks were actually delivered very quickly. There's still room for improvement here.

Nice place! However, I have lost my Soundcore spaceone headphones on Friday, 25th July 2025. I have left them on the outside tables in a black shopping bag. If anyone has found them, please, contact me by gmail!

Once and never again...we had to wait 15 minutes on a hot day before we could order a drink...the food was very bad, the fries were far too soft and covered in fries seasoning, the chicken was overcooked, parts were already black and also far too dry...it was definitely not worth the money...a shame, they could do better with this location...

A place for a student to eat cheaply. As usual, there are people who know how to make guests feel comfortable. Unfortunately, there are also people serving who seem to be doing the wrong job. Now we should be thankful that there are people who actually do the job; otherwise, apart from him, we wouldn't have had a pleasant evening.

It was definitely better before. The quality of the food hasn't changed, but the price has significantly. When you could order a cheeseburger with fries for around €7, you of course already noticed that the meat was cheap frozen goods (sometimes prepared underground), the sauce was from a bucket and the rest of the ingredients were bought according to the price, aaaabut for the price that was just fine. The same burger now costs over €11, but the quality is still poor. How many fries you get as a side dish is probably decided in the kitchen, because nowhere else have I been served such inconsistently large or small portions of fries as a side dish as here. The fries are actually great and the mayo is better than at many other restaurants. So you can come here for some fries and a beer. The service is sometimes friendly, sometimes overwhelmed, sometimes both at the same time. I don't remember anyone being really unfriendly here, but on some days he really wasn't good. But this is mainly due to long waiting times. So after you've finished your first drink and the place is full, you can concentrate on waving a waiter over to you instead of talking at the table. Makes you happy. Because of the location and the fact that new students come here every year, you don't have to go out of your way to make major improvements. It's a shame, because the location is great and if one or two things could be improved, it would certainly be recommended. But why, every weekend is full here anyway.

My girlfriend and I were there on Good Friday. Great ambience, a great selection of drinks and food. We were advised at 10:15pm that the pub closes at 11pm. The opening times for Easter were explicitly stated on the Internet. Good Friday 0:00 a.m. When I questioned this, the (until then friendly) waitress said: where is that? There are only four tables left, then you just have to close. In fact, more tables were occupied and billiards was also still being played. As if that wasn't enough, the friendly lady then started setting up the chairs next to us. I come from the catering industry and understand that you have to act economically. However, this can also be done in a more friendly way.

We didn't eat anything, but the menu seems to offer plenty of choice. The selection of drinks is very large and prices are fair. Service was very friendly and attentive. Coffee was also tasty. Absolutely recommended!

There were spontaneous visitors to this pub shortly before 9:30 p.m. When we asked if we could order anything else to eat, the answer was that there were only fries 🍟. After we were served this spartan dish (a plate of fries with ketchup, even though we had ordered two portions), minutes later large numbers of sandwiches and burgers were brought past our table. Unfortunately, this has very little to do with customer service. Nevertheless, you have to say, the fries were delicious.

we have been to this cafe restaurant recently; food was good, but service is so bad, I cannot explain at all! I left 2 sandwiches and wanted them to be packed, but they did not give it at all! also service guy was impolite! I could go again just for the food, but service is so bad, I will not recommend..

This pub was a big surprise for me. I couldn't believe it when my burger with nice crispy sweet potato fries was served within five minutes! The Aperol also arrived within a very short time and was the best I have drunk so far in Germany. This is also the first Irish pub with a reasonable wine selection (I don't drink beer). I was happy to take the bus all the way from Stuttgart!

A nice Irish pub in Tübingen with table football and billiards. The table football is good, but the pool table is unsuitable for more serious billiards. A pleasant student bar with friendly staff who don't lose their calm and friendliness even when there's a lot of crowds and waiting times.

Great value for money, very friendly, attentive staff

If this is supposed to be a burger place, then the burgers are really bad. You have to offer more for the price. The bread is retail and the meat is cheap. Waiting times for drinks are too long. There are simply not enough waiters hired to save costs because they don't want to raise prices. Conclusion: Price-performance ratio is in the basement where there are at least clean toilets. No recommendation

Still my favorite place for Pub Grub in Tübingen, Club Sandwich is the classic and you can always go there. Love it, will love it to the end

Good for drinks, fries and the mood. As for the rest, it's more bad than good. The food is of no special quality; the veggie burger, for example, tastes freshly thawed and tasteless. I can't recommend the food. The service depends on the day, sometimes someone attentive, sometimes an unfriendly student hanging tiredly behind the counter. A decent address for a drink, table football or a portion of fries, but for good food and nice service you definitely have to go somewhere else.

DANGER !!! If you order a Latte Machiato, you should be prepared to be served warm milk with a small shot of coffee. When I asked if I could please get another espresso shot, as the latte only tastes like warm milk, I was told “yes, but it will be charged additionally”. I've never had such a light latte macchiato before...

Best club sandwich in the world simply brilliant

One of my favorite restaurants in Tübingen! The dishes are varied and always delicious. There are also vegetarian options, but unfortunately the vegan burger was a bit dry. The price-performance ratio is reasonable and the service is also wonderful. The toilets are clean and there are interesting stickers on the mirrors. Absolute recommendation! 🍔

The service is so terrible......actually it was just one of the waiters, he is such a terrible worker, just a rasist. We were sitting there and waiting for 20 min. He saw us and we tried to call him, but he just avoided to look at us, just ignoring us. We noticed he served all other tables, just not for us. So we went to the bar counter to ask about that. Then the terrible guy finally came to serve us...... Highly recommend the owner to replace this terrible guy……

Most recently ordered a chicken schnitzel with fries at the named location. Then came a large plate with a visually unappealing schnitzel (guaranteed frozen product) with a handful of fries underneath with a tasty but rather indefinable sauce for dipping. But the fries were too hard and poorly salted. The price of the meal was around 13 euros. EK won't be 3 euros. For me personally, the taste was a disgrace and the price was totally exorbitant.

Nothing in this place is good. The only thing that saves the place is the location and the fact that it is a student town, so customers have little expectation

Cozy restaurant/bar with extremely good food and affordable. I had the chilli burger and it was fantastic. It comes with a side of fries or wedges depending on your choice. I highly recommend picking the garlic mayonnaise as your sauce, it is very tasty! The staff is very friendly as well. 5/5 would recommend!

We always enjoy coming here. You can sit outside on the terrace, there are many tables. The service is quick, the prices are reasonable and there is something to eat/drink for everyone. Parking is available on the street or in the side streets

Mediocre, rustic pub with a classic, manageable selection of food. The atmosphere is rustic and harmonious. Service is also good - even if it's full you don't have to wait very long. Unfortunately, the prices (at least for drinks) have risen so drastically that they can hardly be described as student-friendly anymore. The whole place could use a healthy dose of love. Tables and floors are actually always sticky and the furniture is sometimes a bit damaged. In general it is very cramped. Unfortunately, it can get extremely loud, making it difficult to hold a conversation even when it's empty. The music is often obstructively loud. The outdoor area is spacious, but the convenient location is a disadvantage from midday to afternoon.

The food tastes very good and I would like to come back again. Unfortunately, the waiters are very often unfriendly and do not care about their guests. You don't feel valued, which is very sad. We waited over half an hour just to order our food because we were simply ignored. Something like that simply shouldn't happen. Staff should be thoroughly trained on how to interact with guests. Two waitresses were particularly negative, one with a lightning tattoo on her wrist and the other with a sun tattoo on her shoulder blade. It's a shame actually... In the end, our tip (which was not deserved at all) was put into our own trouser pocket by the waitress (lightning flash on the wrist), which was actually meant for the whole team, in front of us.

The food is not really fresh. I assume there are some finished products in play here... The waiters are nice but not well organized. We were asked by 3 different waitresses what we wanted to eat. Prices are okay.

The location is fine for watching football. However, the quality of the transmission is not optimal. We were here for the European Championship game between Italy and Switzerland. BUT BE CAREFUL! The two men behind the bar are incredibly rude and aggressive to the customers. Almost insulting. Here, if you ask normal questions, you will be shouted at and shown your place. I've never experienced anything like this before. For this negative experience with the barmen, which unfortunately predominates and remains in the memory, there is only one star overall. Too bad...

The price-performance ratio is poor to say the least. The chicken schnitzel for 12.50 euros was too small a portion. It was frozen and smelled funny. After one bite I decided not to continue my meal and asked for the bill. The waiter was rude. I paid and when I asked to take the portion away he gave an ironic “Ah” and blatantly ignored me. When I asked to speak to the manager he said he could only bring me a new portion (the irony was so great which made me even angrier) and when I told him I only wanted the manager said him: send email. This all took place 10 meters away, he didn't even have the courtesy to stay at my table and didn't have to be heard throughout the restaurant.

The place is okay, but don't trust the timing of the kitchen. I was there 27 mim before the kitchen close but still they didn't took my order and were very unfriendly.

Super nice restaurant, the billiard table is recommended

From the inside it doesn't look like a “typical” Irish pub, but it's still cozy. The prices are good, especially when it comes to food. The food isn't anything special, but overall it's still good. In summer it is a great idea to sit outside.

Nice Irish pub, the whiskey is good and the beer too but how can you only have Tream and ski aggu in the playlist I would like other music.

Saint Patrick's Day and no!!! green beer, no decoration... Super friendly and courteous staff and fast, good cuisine! Pub atmosphere and top beer garden in summer. Can be a bit busy (shows how popular the store is). The disadvantage is that reservations are made diligently for the small round tables.

been there a few times, although only when others took me with them, not very cozy, not very affordable. don't get me wrong, food is good and drink is too, so is the service. But it's just not worth it for me somehow. If i wanted to eat for that kind of money I'd go somewhere else and if I wanted to drink for that kind of money i would definitely go somewhere else, simply because it is not my kind of atmosphere, but that's something you'd have to find out for yourselves. beer is like 5€, food at least 10€, probably more like 15-20. great for large groups though.

Unfortunately, from 9 p.m. there are only burgers with fries. But cheap billiards and table football. The waitresses are super nice. Ambience 5 stars. 2 points deducted because of the food selection.

Kaffee bestellt. Habe tatsächlich schon leckeren Kaffee getrunken. Möglicherweise liegst am Kaffeeröster. Bedienung aber sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Irish beer, burgers and pub-grub.

Im Sommer kann man super draußen sitzen und auch im Winter ist es drin sehr gemütlich. Das Essen (teils einfacher gestaltet) ist sehr lecker und gut gemacht und man fühlt sich im Laden einfach wohl. Der Service ist zudem sehr freundlich und schnell. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken und man kann auch Billard spielen.

Service und Getränke waren gut :) Das Club Sandwich leider etwas traurig, nicht richtig getoastet.. Käse war noch hart.. Kartoffeln aber lecker. Preis-Leistung passt nicht ganz..

Servicekräfte sind super. Essen ist okay und reichhaltig. Gute Portionen für einen fairen Preis (für Tübingen sogar sehr fair).

Wir waren zum Mittag aufgrund einer Empfehlung unserer Tochter zum Essen. Ich habe einen BBQ Burger bestellt und gegessen und die anderen hatten Chicken Wings. Der Burger war erste Klasse sehr gute Fleisch Konsistenz super Geschmack. Klasse Kartoffeln dazu. Ich muss einfach fünf Punkte vergeben denn Burger habe ich schon einige gegessen Aber der hat mir absolut gut geschmeckt. Noch einen Kaffee dazu. Cappuccino von einer Hochdruck Espressomaschine hat die ganze Sache abgerundet und zum Nachtisch Apfelküchlein mit Sahne ein Gedicht. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, um mich bei den Whiskys Verkosten zu lassen denn so ein reichhaltiges Whisky Programm ..das war schon klasse. und da werde ich wieder einen BBQburger bestellen das ist Fakt. Die Bedienung war absolut freundlich und konnte unseren Wünschen, eine zusätzliche kleine Portion Chicken Wings jederzeit erfüllen. Preise waren im Vergleich zu unserer Stadt um 25 % günstiger und das für Tübingen, das sind echte Studentenpreise hier, die Empfehlung kam auch von dieser Richtung. Die Toiletten waren sehr sauber, das ganze Ambiente, sehr rustikal, sehr schön,da es ein ehemaliges Irish Pup war. Probiert es einfach aus.

Nettes Personal. Schöne Ambiente, aber manchmal viel zu laut. Der Burger schmeckt gut, sind aber nicht sehr groß. Vor allem wird am Pommes gespart 😂. Alles in allem ziemlich gut. Ich gehe gerne dahin, auch wegen Guinness 😉.

Kann man gut essen und trinken. Tischkicker spielen macht dort riesen Spaß.

Große Gaststätte mit großem Außenbereich. Nette, freundliche Bedienungen, prima Tagesessen und andere Speisen. Zum gemütlichen Zusammensein ein guter Platz. Viele Studenten, ansonsten ein gemischtes Publikum. Hingegen - genießen...

Kellner kamen spät, obwohl wenig los war, heiße Schokolade war kalt und generell war auch in Tees wenig Inhalt . küche hatte geschlossen, obwohl sie laut Karte noch geöffnet haben sollte. Decken waren für die kalte Abendluft vorhanden.

Sehr solider Pub, innen abends voll und laut, essen sehr preiswert, v.a. die Burger sind empfehlenswert. Einzig allein die Buns sind eher durchschnittlich. Wedges und Dips sind im Preis inklusive und sehr gut! Ordentliche Portionen. Draußen schöner Biergarten mit vielen Plätzen. Nette und aufmerksame Bedienungen.

War schon öfters dort essen also kann nur sagen einfach hervorragend zum essen und für jeden etwas auf der Speisekarte und gutes Bier gibt's auch ..

We had reserved a table for 14 people several days in advance, for Friday evening at 19:00. The tables were reserved, but weren't put together when we arrived, which we had to do ourselves. That I could even understand. But as we were leaving after ordering food and several rounds of drinks, amd leaving tips, we were asked to put the tables back as they were. We didn't, since we thought it could not be true, and as we were leaving, we were reminded (and not kindly) to put the tables back ourselves. Surely this is the job of the staff? I have never been asked to rearrange the tables myself anywhere. I used to be a waitress for several years, and this is a no-go towards customers.

Tolles Restaurant in Tübingen mit studentischer Kneipen- bzw. Pub-Atmosphäre. Die Burger schmecken uns sehr gut, das Essen ist reichhaltig und vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Schön, dass man hier sein Guinness oder Kilkenny bekommt. Absolut klasse ist übrigens das Angebot von unterschiedlichen Scotch-Whiskys, das sich echt sehen lassen kann. Durch das Studium unseres Kindes haben wir Tübingen und das Saints erst richtig entdeckt, welches jetzt mehr oder weniger zu unserem Stammlokal geworden ist.

Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich, Essen ist für die fairen Preisen absolut gut. Hab bis jetzt Burger, Sandwich und Käsespätzle probiert und daran war nichts auszusetzen.

Gemütlich und immer was los. Auch zum Draußen sitzen schön. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passte immer perfekt. Jetzt ist es leider auch teurer geworden. Aber das lässt sich wohl nicht ändern, sondern ist auf allgemein höhere Preise zurückzuführen.

Sehr beliebter Feierabendtreff in Tübingen und auch am Wochenende.

Ambiente sehr schön und Lage toll,Service leider nicht optimal. Oft 30 Minuten Wartezeit, einmal 90 Minuten lang kein Essen bekommen. Getränke oft nicht ganz bis zur 400ml Marke befüllt. Essen schmeckt okay bis gut, Preise inflationsbedingt merklich angestiegen.

Der Burger war echt gut. 1€ mehr für den Alpen Burger Deluxe statt dem normalen ist echt ein guter Preis und der Kartoffelpuffer war echt gut. Die Kartoffeln waren auch sehr lecker. Im Getränk war sogar eine Orangenscheibe. Der Service war an sich nett aber war halt nichts besonderes. Das Ambiente war halt ein Restaurant aber jetzt auch nicht schlecht. Aber der Burger war wirklich unglaublich lecker
