Delicious. Don't be fooled by the seemingly small portion size. Maybe a bit too expensive for students. However, very high quality food. You get full.

The service staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the food was very tasty. We sat facing the street, so only 4 stars for the ambience.

We went there for a birthday. all went well. From the online reservation and quick confirmation, to a nice little birthday setup etc. Food was great, tasted all very well. Atmosphere was great - we were on the upper stage. we'll be back 😃

We had breakfast with the children and everyone was full and happy. The coffee is strong and the peppermint tea is invigorating (they have Eilles brand teas) The composition of the breakfast for 2 is very good and varied. Definitely again

I recently dined at Ludwigs and had a mixed experience. The food was absolutely delicious and visually appealing. I tried two dishes: Korean Fried Chicken & Lomo Saltado. Both were delightful in terms of flavor and presentation. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. We experienced significant delays at every stage – from placing our order to receiving our food, and even when it came time to pay. Despite the long waits, the staff was courteous, but it was clear they were having an off day. In summary, while the food at Ludwigs is exceptional, the service needs improvement. I hope to see better coordination in the future as this place has great potential.

We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. Despite criticism of the food (the egg was unfortunately much too cooked for an Egg Benedict), the staff remained professional and all other dishes were very tasty. Despite everything, we had the feeling that the correct degree of doneness of the eggs was not the greatest art of the kitchen. In general, they were always in the pan for a little too long. We would definitely like to come back and thank you for the service and the food.

It was busy on Saturday morning, so it took a while before we could place our order and the food and drink arrived. And yet it was all worth it! The food was excellent, the service was friendly and the breakfast we ordered for 9 people came at the same time so we could all start together!

Great terrace, delicious café, good service - everything as it should be. The rudeness came when paying. A large latte for 4.90 was OK, but a large glass of tap water for 2.50€ took my words away. I am still stunned and will no longer want to support such a rip-off. Feedback: For me, your argument has a weakness. The latte would have come with a small glass of water included. I like it. Does a glass 3 times as big and 3 times the amount of water justify the €2.50 fee?

Was great. Both the food, the drinks and the service. I will gladly come again However, it might have been better if there were two employees serving upstairs. The employee served everyone very confidently, but there were a lot of guests and tables that he had to look after alone

Der Service verdient 5 Sterne. Da das Essen nicht voll und ganz den Erwartungen entsprach, sind es dann nur 4! Ich hatte das Wiener Schnitzel mit Salat bestellt. Leider war das Fleisch trocken und die Panade sah aus, als ob es in der Friteuse zubereitet worden war. Auch der Salat war zusammengerührt. Schade, aber ansonsten passte alles. Die Servicekraft hat rundum dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns sowohl im Restaurant als auch einen Tag später auf Terrasse und abends in der Bar sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

Great food, great service, very good food! It was a chance experiment and a great experience. Not particularly cheap but good quality.

The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is also very nicely done with a lot of attention to detail, for quiet conversations or just to relax. The price range is relatively high, which is justified by the fact that you are right in the center.

Due to the weather, our table reservation in the outdoor area was prepared. 👍 Location, staff and kitchen were excellent. The daily menu has nice surprises.

The Mother's Day brunch was tasty, but also very expensive at €42 (without hot drinks) per person. The service was very good. Annoyance at the end: we had to pay €7.50 for almost 3 hours of parking in the hotel/restaurant's own parking lot (with a consumption bill of around €150), that has never happened to us before - restaurant parking spaces are usually free for guests We know that hotels charge a daily parking fee of around €8 for 24 hours - a shame!

I have given a medium rating because the restaurant is not easily accessible for those with mobility problems and I found the seats uncomfortable. Food quality and attentiveness of staff was excellent.

The Ludwigs is an institution in Tübingen and I am a regular guest. Connected to the Hotel Krone, the Ludwigs offers culinary delights at all times of the day. The constantly updated menu with changing weekly offers and business lunch offers something to eat for all tastes. It is always freshly prepared and delicious. The service is a professional, well-coordinated team and always courteous. I would always recommend making a reservation here as it is always quite busy. I have one comment: the term “seeds” is not specific enough. In addition to seeds, a variety of nuts and almonds were suddenly served. Please: Please indicate if there is a nut mix included. Of course, it's no problem to get an allergen-free portion (freshly prepared) after a complaint, but to be told by the service that this could be read from the name "seeds" is unprofessional. This was a one-off misunderstanding, so no deduction of stars, just a little feedback. Absolutely recommended!

10 of us had brunch at a table. We stayed in a connecting room towards the hotel - but still in a very pleasant atmosphere. The room and table were beautifully decorated. The service was impeccable and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. We were very satisfied and would like to go there again. Our assessment: Recommended!

The birthday table was reserved but when you said you had reserved you were just told to choose a table (later it was discussed by the waiters that a birthday table had been reserved). The floral decorations on the tables had withered and were removed after our visit. The standing/bar table opposite was completely splattered/dirty on the side and at the table base (that made you lose your appetite)

Just wanted a little drink outside today. Until the waiter came, At least 15 minutes passed (and there wasn't that much going on), he brought the cards and then left again. When I asked if we could please order something, he said yes, he'd just collect the money at the next table and then come. Nothing happened, he walked past our table and didn't pay any attention to us. Is this how you treat your customers? Is that called appreciation? We got up and left. That was the last time we go there. Ambience or not, it doesn't have to be that way! The service has seriously deteriorated...

Light, imaginative cuisine. Something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised and would love to come back. Kitchen for a casual get-together, of good quality.

Ludwig's is part of the attached Hotel Krone. I find the service to be very courteous and the menu to be pleasantly varied; there is also a decent selection of cocktails. I think the food is at least solid. The ambience is rather dignified, but not cold. The prices are still moderate. In the summer you can sit on the street and watch people, it's just not the city center, but I still find it entertaining. The bottom line is that it's really a good to very good location. Nice place to be. Belongs to the Hotel Krone. Good choice of dishes and drinks of good quality. Prices are moderate, service is good. The Ludwig's is situated in the vicinity of the main station. Good place to watch and fro of other people.

Nice evening with friends. It would have been 5 stars for service if sugar had been served with the espresso. :-)

Sehr schönes Ambiente und Angebot

At first we didn't know what to expect. We had looked at the pictures online as we are not locals. We didn't feel like the standard clientele. After avoiding the waiter's obligatory offer to order an aperitif (we don't drink alcohol) and once again revealing ourselves to be newbies to gourmet cooking, we aimed to appear professional for the rest of the evening (we've never been so nice). “Please” and “Thank you” were said). We ordered a Virgin Mojito and a Blueberry Lavender Lemonade (we didn't want to order the cheapest drink) which tasted excellent. Now to the main courses. Since we already knew the menu by heart after extensive internet research, we pretended to study it thoroughly for a few more minutes. We ordered the fried oyster mushrooms (we're adding a picture for anyone who also wants to know what their order looks like in advance - we couldn't find a picture online). To our great surprise, the portion was very generous and tasted wonderful. But we also wanted to order a dessert (for the experience), and we decided on the caramel parfait (of course we knew this in advance, but we put in an Oscar-worthy performance when we browsed through the tickets again) - what a crowning conclusion! All jokes besides: we had a good evening and would definitely recommend the restaurant. Kind regards to the nice waiter (if he ever reads this).

Modern, friendly, high price for properly made, unspectacular, proper food. A quite popular and busy location. Professional service, functional, efficient, effective, attentive, not overwhelmingly friendly.

I have been here several times when I lived in Tübingen and then again 7 years later. I would give it 4 or 4.5 stars. Positives: Service is always great, dinner is either good or really delicious, never below average. The only thing I didn’t fancy was the brunch. Portions are small so eating here might not get you full if you are really hungry, or like me, a big person.

Wir hatten drei Gänge mit Weinbegleitung dazu. Es hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Sogar ein Foto wurde von uns gemacht. Danke für den schönen Abend, ich komme gerne wieder.

Leckeres Frühstück, freundliche Bedienung, tolle Auswahl

Habe hier schon mehrmals für eine Gruppe von Personen reserviert. Bisher immer positive Erfahrungen und sehr schönes Ambiente :)!

Es hat uns mega gut gefallen. Das Essen war super lecker, der Service überragend und das Ambiente total schön! Gefreut haben wir uns auch über das vegetarisch/vegane Angebot.

Sowohl Business Menü als auch Gerichte der Tageskarte waren sehr gut. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 6 Personen, es ging zügig und wir fühlten uns wohl. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Das Frühstückserlebnis insgesamt war gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war dagegen nicht so gut. Wir hatten für 4 Personen 2 Etageren für jeweils 2 Personen, die unserer Ansicht nach dem Preis nicht entsprochen haben. Insgesamt zu wenig von der Menge und auch die Auswahl war nicht übermäßig. Ein Glas Orangensaft dazu wäre schön gewesen.

Sehr abwechslungsreiches Frühstücksangebot, freundlicher Service, unkomplizierte Reservierung online, uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Die Bedienung war sehr gut und freundlich. Außerdem kannte sie sich recht gut aus was Gluten betrifft.

Leckere und große Auswahl an Gerichten, speziell zum Frühstücken und Brunchen, in gemütlicher Atmosphäre und sehr netten Personal. Das individuell erstellbare Frühstück, die Waffeln sowie die Kaffeespezialitäten kann ich sehr empfehlen. Ich war hier bereits 4x und komme immer wieder gerne :)

Alles cool. Auch zu Eltern mit Baby sehr freundlich.
