Ludwigs in Tübingen

I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent burger at this restaurant. The meat was perfectly fried – juicy, aromatic and of high quality. The fresh ingredients harmonized perfectly with each other, and the roll had just the right consistency: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Every bite was a delight! Overall it was a wonderful dining experience. I can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

These days a classic place in Tübingen. Perfect location. Tables on two levels in addition to outside tables. A bit pricey but usually worth it. The prime choice for outside dining a warm evening. Reservation recommended.

Unfortunately I had my tea returned twice, I don't know how you can bring back an old scratched cup, olives were filled, which was not described. We waited a long time for breakfast.

Quality, optics and ambience are great. We would have liked to order something else, but the staff wasn't there. Kindness was good.

Chic atmosphere. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Everything we had was delicious, salad, cake, latte macchiato, tea. What was a bit unpleasant was that the music was too penetrating and too loud for me personally. Something more subtle would be more pleasant. I can't say anything about sitting outside, that was it Day too cold.

Whenever I'm nearby and have the opportunity to go to Ludwigs, I'm always very satisfied. I feel like a guest there who is welcomed with hospitality. Nice ambience, great service and the food is great too. There was once the “Ludwig’s Sandwich” – that was something very special. Maybe there will be a “new edition” :-).

The price-performance ratio wasn't quite right. The portions for Easter brunch were very small, but tasted very good!

On April 21st been there. The food came very quickly and was very tasty. Everything was great with the service too. The service was very friendly, kept asking if everything was OK and was generally very attentive. The overall package was right and I'm happy to give it all the stars.

It was a really awesome brunch experience. It was constantly being refilled, so you could eat your fill of delicious food. All you can drink Prosecco was on top! The dessert buffet left nothing to be desired. Ludwig’s was the ideal place for this. Many thanks to the entire team at Hotel Krone.

You are in the best hands here. The food is worth highlighting. There wasn't anyone at the table who had anything to complain about. Gladly again 😃

Service is a disaster! When you come into the restaurant you are not greeted. We sit for minutes... the waitress doesn't feel like it, looks us in the eye and grins. So we just got up and left. It's a shame one star is too many here.

We went to Ludwigs for breakfast for the second time today. It was great again. I always visit here, I come from Mannheim. Nowhere else can you have such an extravagant breakfast. To the owner's answer...of course, the people of Mannheim would be happy 😉🥰

Scrambled eggs were cold and the waiter then poked his finger into them and argued with us about whether they weren't still warm. It was probably still warm at the core. But for the price, a core temperature of 25 degrees isn't enough. Grumpy staff. The cold things were ok. Ambiance as well.

It's definitely a nice place to stay, but if it's full you'll have to wait a really long time for your things. The atmosphere is very bright and totally cozy. The food and drinks were all delicious, but there is a star rating because it is a bit expensive for the portion. The service was friendly but you hardly noticed it other than ordering and paying.

We had a very good breakfast here, received good advice and courteous service. On the upper floor of the light-flooded glass extension you have a good view of the street. The sun shines through the ceiling windows as if you were sitting outside☀️

There were 4 of us, three of us had the Korean Chicken (2 times vegan, 1 time with meat), and none of us were full, except the fourth person who had a burger. The taste was very tasty, but the consistency of the vegan chicken was very hard. I don't think the size of the portion is appropriate for the price at all. The product value of the cucumber and avocado is a maximum of €2, so I think €26.70 is a cheek for the dish. It was also freezing cold inside because there was a strong draft and the door had to be open to serve the terrace (of course the waiters can't do anything about that). But I asked for a blanket and got this. The waiters seemed very stressed and although they weren't rude, I would have liked the service to be in a better mood given the prices.

A lovely restaurant, centrally located with tasteful decor. We've had coffee or a glass of wine here occasionally, and we've also been here for breakfast. It was delicious. Today, we invited business guests to lunch for the first time and were unfortunately disappointed. A large salad plate with fried turkey strips, approximately €25: Soggy salad, the turkey strips were thick cubes instead of strips and more like boiled than fried, and the "fried" vegetables were also only cooked. The fries we ordered separately were only lukewarm and undercooked. The service was extremely slow, inattentive, and unfriendly (second floor). The used dishes weren't cleared away after the meal, and they didn't even ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. Embarrassing when you're serving foreign guests. I wonder why the restaurant is still so busy. I won't eat there again—maybe a drink or coffee, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. Considering the quality and service, the prices are significantly inflated. It's a shame, but Tübingen generally has so little to offer in terms of gastronomy, so they're obviously satisfied with it. Dear "owner," thank you for your reply, and I'm glad you're taking my review seriously; then there's hope for improvement. Unfortunately, I have to make a small fact check: We were at your restaurant at 1:30 p.m. and waited at least 15 minutes for our first order to be taken. According to the receipt, we paid at 3:19 p.m. = a 1-hour, 45-minute wait. Since we only ordered small items and only half of them were eaten due to the quality issues, the time was certainly sufficient. According to the receipt, the salad was supposed to be with "turkey strips," and that's how I remember your menu; grilled vegetables were promised, not steamed vegetables. Perhaps you could double-check the information on your menu? I tried to give an objective review, as your AI prompted me to do so. I could have simply written in Swabian "it wasn't worth the money!" There are vegan options which is commendable. Unfortunately, the café is incredibly expensive, so the price-performance ratio is not right here. The avocado bread is normally tasty, nothing special. The vegan scrambled eggs are extremely tasty and definitely worth trying. However, we won't come here again for breakfast because the vegan options aren't worth the price. It's usually quite crowded here and therefore louder and not really comfortable. In winter they sold a vegan grilled sausage, it was very, very good, we will get it again next winter!

been there for several times, coffee was good, matcha was so bad, I did not even drink. hot chocolate was not bad. but I could say apfel strudel is the best in the town. just try coffees and teas there, maybe some cocktail and sides could be also nice. atmosphere is nice, wc was clean enough.

Seldom eaten as well as here. Service staff was extremely courteous. The trees inside give the whole thing a calm atmosphere. I would love to come back.

They offered us a table in a beautiful room, a table decorated with candles. The service from Emma was very attentive and helpful, really something to highlight. The food was delicious, as were the drinks.

After a 7-hour journey, we assumed that Ludwig would get a reasonable meal time. That wasn't the case. We only tried the fries with mushrooms and cheese we ordered once. The amount of food mixed together with a final dry cheese platter on top from which you had to break off the fries gave the impression that this dish was definitely not freshly prepared. There was no delicious tomato sauce with the cod. He was swimming in tomato soup. A positive aspect was that the staff were very friendly and there was a very pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent price-performance ratio. The food is very good, the service is attentive but not intrusive. Only the combination of small chairs and low tables is unusual for tall people.

Great atmosphere, great service, delicious food - the business lunch as a three-course menu is varied, very attractively presented and is served in no time at all - which is extremely important if you are a working person taking a lunch break and have to go back to work.

The best restaurant for breakfast or brunch!!! We have been to Ludwig's several times now and are thrilled every time. The food tastes so delicious and is prepared so well. There is a great selection and the food there is really special. You don't get something like that in every restaurant. You can sit outside as well as inside. The ambience is super inviting and the service is also great. Can only be recommended. You should definitely make a reservation if you plan to come on the weekend! The restaurant is very popular for breakfast. So really 10/10 everything is great. The pictures speak for themselves.

Pleasant atmosphere and service, delicious food, reasonably priced for lunch

Fluffy French toast, vegan scrambled eggs and otherwise a great breakfast. Yummy! BUT €2.50 FOR TAP WATER? Especially without pointing it out first? Doesn't work at all :/ I have been working in the catering industry for 12 years and have never encountered this before. At least you should point this out to the guests!

We have been to Ludwig's several times and have always been more than satisfied. The food is delicious, beautifully prepared and the ambience is great. The adjoining room in particular is very pleasant if you come with a larger group, as the tables are very generously spaced and there is plenty of space. We will definitely come back.

Very friendly staff, but the food was rather poor, there isn't enough choice for breakfast. In our opinion the price is quite high for the little things. The restaurant is quite noisy which makes it rather unattractive for a quiet breakfast.

As a family, five of us ate at Ludwig's Restaurant in Tübingen at Christmas and it was a wonderful experience. Particularly noteworthy is the onion roast with homemade spaetzle and extra sauce – simply delicious! But also all other dishes, such as the veal schnitzel or the steinbeißer with potato and herb puree. The atmosphere was festive and beautifully decorated, the service was excellent and the price-performance ratio was right. We'd love to come back!

Very nice place, located close to the main station and old town. We ate breakfast here, avocado toast, and scrambled eggs with paprika, plus oat milk cappuccino and chai latte. Everything tasted really good and fresh. The service was really nice and quick, despite the fact that the place was very full. I fully recommend.

We went to Ludwigs for breakfast on the first Advent. Friendly and attentive staff. We also really liked the ambience, decorated to match the season. Our breakfast was delicious and filling. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs were a bit cold. But otherwise great. There is a point deduction for the toilet. The floor here was wet and dirty. This is probably due to the open hand dryer that blows the water towards the floor when drying. Here it would be worth considering whether a fabric towel roll or Dyson Wash&Dry directly above the sink makes more sense. In my opinion that would make the whole package complete ;)

A highlight in Tübingen - seasonal, creative dishes under real trees in a modern atmosphere. I go there regularly and enjoy every season there. The service is friendly and professional, the restaurant is always busy - so make a reservation!

A table was reserved at Ludwig's, but we sat in an adjacent room. Orange juice for breakfast is very expensive.

We ordered the goose taxi from Ludwigs. The delivery was on time, the goose and side dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. Absolute recommendation from us.
