Cozy wine and beer bar, service sleepy and in need of improvement, kitchen performance modest. Creamy schnitzel was black at the bottom.... The kitchen should practice using a pan here! If you continue like this, it will soon be over.
Franconian hospitality looks different...The owners should check THEIR concept!
Long wait, food came before drinks, medium steak was cooked, after repeated requests to pay we waited 40 minutes and the waiter smelled like a Colombian herb garden
The food was okay 😂 I ordered mushroom cream sauce, but I got some kind of lump of mushroom soup or something. I've never experienced that before, in real life 😂
The steak was 4/5, quite nice! The service was super friendly—almost too friendly...
The atmosphere inside was terrible, but outside was great.
Friendly service and really great with children! A large play area with easy access from the seating area. The food is perfectly fine for a beer garden, but not a culinary highlight.
We had reserved a table for a larger group in advance and received a very friendly welcome upon arrival. Our spot under the gazebo offered plenty of shade – perfect for a sunny day.
Our drinks were served promptly, and the staff were consistently attentive, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming. The beer garden itself is beautiful and historic, with a charming atmosphere – exactly what you'd expect.
The food was also a hit: roast pork in Altbier sauce, Leberkäse (meatloaf) with potato salad, Obatzter (a local sausage), and potato chips – all fresh, delicious, and typical of a Bavarian beer garden.
The service was particularly friendly: Our waitress even lent us her personal power bank – simply fantastic! She checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay, without being intrusive.
Conclusion: An all-round successful visit that will stay with us forever – cozy, welcoming, and simply a place to feel good. We would love to come back!
I really enjoyed it! The food was delivered on time (the driver even kindly brought the food to my hotel room!).
I thought the price was perfectly reasonable. I had the sake bowl: lots of fresh salmon, fresh ginger, delicious edamame, avocado, and the rice was delicious too. The portion was large and tasted absolutely fantastic.
Only one comment: unfortunately, no forks or chopsticks were included...
I'll definitely order again when I'm in Würzburg.
The highlight, of course, is the phenomenal view of Würzburg. We sat on the self-service terrace. As long as there isn't a large group waiting to order ahead of you at the self-service counter, everything goes relatively quickly. Since we only had French fries and beer, we can't really judge the food, but everything was fine for us.
