Das Lokal hat erst am 01.04.2026 eröffnet. Da sind die alten Rezensionen vielleicht nicht so hilfreich ! Wir waren heute zu fünft zum Abendessen im ehemaligen Postkutscherl in waren in jeder Hinsicht sehr zufrieden. Wir haben Currywurst mit Kartoffelchips, Rindercarpaccio und einen Hausmacher Wurstteller gegessen, es war alles wirklich sehr lecker. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

War vorgestern das erste Mal seit dem Umzug ins Postkutscherl dort und war sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war super, das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Ambiente im Biergarten hat sich zwar nicht wesentlich geändert, ist aber nach wie vor schön. Neben einer festen Karte gibt es auch wechselnde Tagesgerichte. Finde es super, dass es dort weiter geht, wenn man bedenkt was im Steinbachtal schon alles verloren gegangen ist..

Absolut empfehlenswert! ​Wir hatten heute einen hervorragenden Aufenthalt im B.Neumann im Postkutscherl. Das Essen war super lecker, besonders das Schnitzel und die perfekt zubereiteten Bratkartoffeln haben überzeugt. Als krönenden Abschluss gab es Apfelküchle zum Nachtisch – ein echtes Highlight. ​Das Ambiente ist toll und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Team war ausgesprochen nett, kompetent und sehr kinderfreundlich, sodass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Das Postkutscherl hat eine NEUE Betreiberin und das schmeckt man :) Bekannte haben uns von dem Betreiberwechsel berichtet, daher haben wir einen Besuch gewagt. Inzwischen waren wir schon zum dritten Mal dort und sind begeistert. Der Service ist flink, hat einen netten Spruch auf den Lippen und ein lächeln im Gesicht. Das Essen war bis jetzt immer super lecker. Preisleistung ist top. Bisher habe ich mich immer für das Schnitzel entschieden, da ich so begeistert bin aber bei den Desserts habe ich mich durchprobiert und kann auch da nur schwärmen. Liebes Team, macht weiter so! Wir kommen gerne!

Wir sind quasi Dauergäste geworden. Super gute Küche (quasi zum reinlegen), absolut freundliches Personal und eine Chefin, die definitiv keine Wünsche der Gäste offen lässt, beziehungsweise nicht erfüllen wird.

Schäufele mit Kloss war sehr gut. Seit Anfang April ist das B. Neumann jetzt im Postkutscherl (vorher war es an der Residenz). Finde sowohl Essen als auch Einrichtung sehr gelungen. Und der Service ist sehr nett.

Das ehemalige Postkutscherl nun unter neuer Leitung. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gemütlich und was ich bisher gegessen habe , hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt . Was mich daneben besonders beeindruckt hat, ist der wirklich sehr aufmerksame und immer freundliche Service. Ich bin schon viele Jahre in diesem Lokal und freue mich über die neuen Betreiber. Sie packen das meiner Meinung nach so an, dass gross und klein sich wohlfühlen kann. Weiter so 👍🍀

Sehr nettes, aufmerksames Team, alle bisherigen Gerichte fand ich super lecker. Kann den Laden nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Gut angebunden, auch mit der Straba Linie 5. Komme gerne wieder. Fast vergessen, gute Weinauswahl mit normalen Preisen für "ganze" Schoppen.

Ich habe bereits mehrmals dort gegessen. Alles hat gut geschmeckt. Der Service war jedes Mal sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Ambiente ist hell und gemütlich. Ich freue mich schon auf die Biergartenzeit.

Endlich gibt's das Postkutscherl wieder! Schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen wie dort. Die neue Pächterin und ihr eingespieltes Team lassen jeden Besuch zu etwas besonderem werden. Ich war jetzt schon mehrfach dort und kann das Lokal und den Biergarten nur empfehlen.

Sehr einladender Biergarten mit freundlicher Begrüßung. Essen war ausgesprochen lecker (Hatten Schäufele und das Lammfilet von der Saison Karte). Preis/Leistung Top! Guter sehr aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Kleiner Tipp man sollte vorher online einen Tisch reservieren.

Well... The service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the location right next to the residence was inviting. It was disappointing that there was no vegan or lactose-free alternative to cow's milk for the coffee. The apple pie was ice cold and tasted suspiciously like the kind you often find in the freezer section.

Leider wird man von den Servicekräften im Biergarten mittags als Einzelperson nicht beachtet. Ich hatte noch dazu das Pech, dass es eine Beschwerde am Nachbartisch gab, so dass keiner der beiden Kellnern mehr zu uns rüberkommen wollte, man aber beobachten konnte, dass sie sich über den Tisch nebenan unterhalten haben. Trotz meiner Versuche Aufmerksamkeit zu erhalten, bin ich nach geraumer Zeit wieder gegangen, immer noch durstig und hungrig. Schade, da der Biergarten sehr gemütlich wirkt und auch die (überschaubare) Karte für jeden Geschmack etwas geboten hätte.

Empfehlenswerter Biergarten, wir waren mit mehrere Personen am Wochenende dort, schönes Ambiente, freundlicher und netter Service, Speisen und Getränken für den Biergarten angepasst und gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

It looks great. The coffee and cake were okay. However, the staff were very inattentive and bored.

We were in Würzburg over the weekend and, thanks to the delicious fries, even stopped by a second time. Attentive service. We felt very comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the light beer, but the Kellerbier and the wine were even better!

Great beer garden, nothing to complain about!

Unfortunately, the menu is different for inside and outside, so we couldn't eat everything we wanted. Otherwise, the food was good enough and the service very friendly. Of course, the location is a nice bonus!

The beer garden's price-performance ratio isn't right, and the service wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. €4.90 for a blackcurrant spritzer served in a plastic bottle is definitely too expensive.

We celebrated our wedding at B.Neumann and were completely satisfied. Even the preliminary arrangements with Ms. Gnerlich were straightforward, and everything went smoothly on the day of the ceremony as well. The food was delicious and the service attentive and friendly. We were able to enjoy our day in a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

Very slow service. One of the four beers was forgotten. Instead of promptly delivering it, other orders were processed first. The forgotten beer didn't arrive for 15 minutes...

I was in the beer garden. It was lovely. Beautiful garden, light green beer, and potato chips. Everything was good!

Beautiful beer garden under mature trees. Service was friendly, but still very inexperienced, and not everything was delivered as ordered. Restrooms were clean. The potato salad tasted like it came from a large, industrial-sized package...unfortunately.

After touring the castle, we went to the beer garden. It was an idyllic spot under the trees. Very friendly, prompt service, and a lovely atmosphere.

I definitely can't recommend this place; the service is extremely poor. We sat there for 30 minutes without being served. After 10 minutes, we were told we'd be right there, and after 30 minutes, we were sent away because we had to make a reservation. Very unprofessional, and the business was very disorganized and incompetent.

We were invited to a wedding - the food was good, but they were very inflexible, and the vegetarians were served the duck breast, as per the menu. The male waitresses were top-notch - the female waitresses, well, they brought the wrong drink despite the order being written down, and the wrong person, but the person ordering had to remind her that she still hadn't been served a non-alcoholic beer. When it arrived, she was served very rudely, with hair in her glass. Setting the table after coffee - demonstratively placing the napkin in front of her face and clearing space so she knew where the cutlery should go so it was in the right place, even though you, as a customer, were sitting there the whole time and immediately made room again. Who wants a 25 cm high napkin upright directly in front of you when you're comfortably seated at the table? You should be able to set the table without needing a napkin as a reference point. The men deserved 5 stars - I'm almost sorry about the deduction, but there's room for improvement here - just like with the appetizer arrangement. The sun was blazing, and you could only partially close the curtains; a portable air conditioner would have been necessary at temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius. The air was stagnant—the men in suits were drenched in sweat. Yes, the atmosphere was great, the restrooms were clean, and the wine was delicious. The gravy for the roast beef could have been better. Dessert was the highlight.

I can recommend the apple pie. It's very quiet here. The staff is friendly.

As a group of 12, we had a wonderful meal. The staff was very, very friendly and attentive. Five stars for that. The food was very average and rather expensive. For example, a currywurst cost €15.60. So far, so good. But what's absolutely unacceptable is a beer garden that doesn't serve Pilsner beer—hey, are you serious? Even though it's a nice beer garden, we won't be coming back.

We celebrated our church wedding in May 2025 at B. Neumann and were thrilled with the all-round package. You can tell that all the service staff, and especially Ms. Gnerlich, are very experienced in what they do and always have everything under control from an organizational perspective. Since the delicious food, the drinks, and the table setting are all reliably handled by B. Neumann themselves, and even the coordination with Ms. Höfer, who brings and puts up the tablecloths, is handled by B. Neumann, you have everything in one place and, as a couple, hardly any organizational effort at that point. This definitely contributed significantly to us being able to enjoy our day to the fullest. The hall itself is beautiful, and we can only praise the prior communication and agreements. Here, you immediately get the feeling that the celebration is in good hands. We also found the pricing to be absolutely fair and transparent (which is not exactly common in the wedding industry).

For my birthday, I had reserved a table for four people at the Residenzgaststätte restaurant by phone. Unfortunately, only the beer garden was open that day, so the beer garden's menu was significantly limited. This was a bitter disappointment for me, especially since I wasn't informed of this on the phone. Otherwise, I would certainly have chosen a different restaurant for my birthday.

We had reserved a table for a larger group in advance and received a very friendly welcome upon arrival. Our spot under the gazebo offered plenty of shade – perfect for a sunny day. Our drinks were served promptly, and the staff were consistently attentive, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming. The beer garden itself is beautiful and historic, with a charming atmosphere – exactly what you'd expect. The food was also a hit: roast pork in Altbier sauce, Leberkäse (meatloaf) with potato salad, Obatzter (a local sausage), and potato chips – all fresh, delicious, and typical of a Bavarian beer garden. The service was particularly friendly: Our waitress even lent us her personal power bank – simply fantastic! She checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay, without being intrusive. Conclusion: An all-round successful visit that will stay with us forever – cozy, welcoming, and simply a place to feel good. We would love to come back!

A classic, beautiful beer garden under the trees with good beers. Very welcoming atmosphere. A very good, friendly and attentive service. The only thing I couldn't get used to was the prices on the beer garden menu; a few Franconian bratwursts with a side dish of 14.20 euros was too expensive for me personally as a child of DM.

We ate fish and potatoes, it was delicious and clean, a fellow countryman from Rize served us.

We stopped for lunch after a wine cellar tour. Despite the full beer garden, very attentive and fast staff. Really remarkable. Typical Bavarian snack dishes at reasonable prices and of good quality. Nice atmosphere right next to the residence. All in all, highly recommended.

Quite ok, pretty average There are more interesting beers in Franconia. Coffee was pretty lame, cake was great. Food good. Service nice, but not very demanding. The beer came dripping with overflowing foam, the coffee with takeaway coffee creamer instead of milk as ordered. All in all, the standard of service doesn't quite match the stylish ambience.

Quiet and beautiful! The food was amazing and they are family friendly! They have the best schnitzel and potato soup we've had so far!! We will back with friends next time!

After many hours in the residence and after a great free tour, we stumbled into Neumann exhausted and doing a little bit. Very fair prices, we had white sausages that were surprised who would take pity on them at 2 p.m. and had already lost a little flavor. The potato soup, on the other hand, was great. Very polite waiter, great ambience with a copy of a tapestry of the residence.

As the saying goes, small but nice, that applies especially to the menu. Very manageable but exactly what you like to eat. The rooms are also very attractive, including the terrace. The service is very friendly and accommodating, you don't stand in the entrance area for long and even without a reservation (Sunday lunchtime), you can assume that it will be possible to get a seat. We were thrilled.😊😊😊

The ambience is great, but if you have to wait over two hours for your food with a registered party, everything else can be so great. Over the course of two hours, you lose hunger and everything else.

Very good cuisine, gladly again

As a company we celebrated our Christmas party in the restaurant, the service was really nice, the food was adapted to our wishes and tasted very tasty. There were about 60 people and everyone was very satisfied. Many thanks to the Residenzgaststätte team! :D

Even the telephone contact was very nice. When I asked whether dogs were welcome, I received a really refreshingly warm “yes, of course!”, which I thought was great. Then the three of us and our dog spontaneously got a table on Sunday lunchtime and enjoyed very nice service and delicious food in a wonderful ambience! Thank you for that!

We and a group of 14 people spontaneously decided to stop off after visiting the residence. No problem at all. Everyone enjoyed their meal, sharing was no problem and I absolutely loved the liver dish. I've eaten liver many times and it was super tasty.

Beautiful place to eat! The food was super tasty, abundant and at a reasonable price. They have a good wine list and the service is very good! The only thing I would suggest is quiet music in the background for a better atmosphere, since there is none.

Unfortunately my wife, who had our sleeping little daughter in a sling and was 45 minutes away from her. On the way home I just had to go to the toilet and access to the location was denied. We can't understand it in any way 👎🏼👎🏼

We were recently at Neumann. The gnocchi was good and the service was friendly. The ragu and leek were also okay. The fish, on the other hand, seemed fresh, but was very fatty and had an unpleasant aftertaste, as if old oil had been used. The schnitzel was rather disappointing, and the pumpkin ravioli was far too sweet and barely tasted like pumpkin. In addition, one dish was completely forgotten, which unfortunately further spoiled the impression.

We and many others waited at the entrance. A woman came from the restaurant late and said that the restaurant was closed because of a private party. We should go to the beer garden entrance. Meanwhile, around 30 people were standing at the gate. 15 minutes later the gate was opened. We gave up!

We were here in the beer garden on Sunday lunchtime. The service was excellent and very friendly. Drinks and food came very quickly. The beer garden is highly recommended.

10€ for a sausage salad with watered down dressing. Awkward.

We had reserved for 8 and assumed that the ticket for inside was also valid for outside in the beer garden. When we arrived, we had no choice but to sit outside: the inside was closed. Well, maybe it was due to a misunderstanding on our part. Service was friendly and quite okay. The outside menu is small but not atypical for a beer garden. Both the meat loaf and the Franconian bratwurst were not particularly seasoned and both tasted rather bland. The potato salad tasted vinegary and like something from a bucket. The roast pork was tough and dry. Everything was a bit careless and after check-in. The hand dryer in the men's toilet didn't work and there were no paper towels. It's a shame, because the beer garden itself with its beautiful trees shields a bit from the residence (park) space, which is spoiled by endless metal sheets.

The restaurant that was recommended to us is unfortunately only open in bad weather or in winter. But the beer garden was open at 30 °C and we were looking forward to lunch. Unfortunately, the menu for the beer garden is very poor, and so was the rest: no particular quality, everything tasted of little and was probably "convenient food" of lower quality; even the plain potato chips were ruined with a strange, artificial spice mix, as was the quark served with them. The meatloaf, with and without egg, was tasteless and carelessly prepared. The plates on which they were served were refrigerator cold, so the sausages were served chilled. These were barely fried, definitely not well cooked. Water is only available in 0.25 liter plastic bottles. The service was friendly but a bit inappropriate. After asking for the bill, she asked in all seriousness whether we had enjoyed it while carrying away the half-full plate of leftovers. I can't understand any of the positive reviews and I'm surprised at all the praise... I do not recommend eating in this beer garden under any circumstances, and to drink a cold beer or water (from a glass bottle), there are nicer places with equally shady trees.

Eating directly at the residence is nice. I liked the beer garden atmosphere and the large salad was awesome.

The beer garden was very nicely laid out. The selection of food is good and the staff is very friendly. The beer was a bit warm, but that was probably due to the 32 °C outside temperature. I always like to come by when I'm at the residence.

Friendly staff. Enjoy your meal. The prices are also okay. But: the beer is a disaster. I didn't like the shandy, nor did I like the beer. Both Tucher definitely have to replace the brewery.

Nice location right next to the residence. Unfortunately I can't say anything about food and drinks because we left after 20 minutes without service. So it's better to bring something yourself.

Very nice and, above all, not overcrowded beer garden directly at the residence. Magnificent view of the world cultural heritage!!! The food selection could be better and the prices are far too high in my opinion. You have to be lucky when it comes to service.

We couldn't have found a better location and provider for our wedding celebration in Würzburg. The residence with court church and gardens including the spacious outdoor and indoor spaces by B. Neumann are a very nice setting. From the very competent, refreshing, calm planning and advice to the preparation and implementation, everything ran professionally and reliably. Special requests were met flexibly and pragmatically. The quality of the food was excellent (even for the size of the party). The same applies to the friendly service. A big thank you to the entire B. Neumann team!

Rarely have I experienced something so unprofessional. A mobile sign stands directly in front of the restaurant "Biergarten open today", coming from the park, with an arrow pointing into the beer garden. Okay, I thought to myself, I'll stop in for a coffee. Walk around the restaurant and enter through the main entrance after the back entrance was closed by the sign, but there were already staff in the beer garden. Walk through the restaurant into the beer garden and am greeted unfriendly with “how did you get in here?” My nice answer "through the door" was probably not well received, the lady cheekily instructed me that I should then please go out through that door straight away. There was no apology for the unprofessional organization of the location (probably forgotten the sign yesterday and also forgot to lock it outside opening hours). Behind me, more irritated customers entered the store. I can't recommend it to anyone.

We were in the beer garden. We cannot recommend this. We were generally only served when we went to the service, even though there were 3 people standing around. We weren't allowed to put tables together. The food was oh well. The only salad had a lot of onions in large pieces. We didn't like the Aperol Spriz. There are no dishes for children. We don't want to repeat this experience.

One of my favorite plates of food from my entire trip to Germany. The currywurst was soooo good man, I seriously contemplated ordering another round after i finished it. The sauce was packed with so much flavor and the chips were golden brown and crispy through the whole time eating them. The biergarden itself, was lovely and in an ideal environment. 10/10 would recommend it.
