Good bowls and such, but unfortunately there was a bit less than shown in the photos (less chicken and more salad), and I wasn't told that the sauce would be spicy.

I went to Dean & David in Würzburg today and was very disappointed. Shortly after eating my bowl, I started feeling increasingly unwell—so much so that I even vomited twice. For the price (€13.75), I find this absolutely unacceptable. Such an incident should not happen in a restaurant. My otherwise lovely day in Würzburg was unfortunately severely impacted. I personally cannot recommend this restaurant. For me, it's a complete no-go!

First ever visit in Würzburg, and this place was a perfect for a dinner. Me and my friend were hesitating a while about what to eat and where to eat, we popped in about twice before we made our decision to staying here and gave them a go. Service was friendly, helpful - needed some assistance with the menu. We settled around an able on the first floor by the windows where there was a great spot for people watching too. Food came in around 15 minutes - the place was really busy so can’t blame them. Food was really FRESH! The salad was delicious, well prepared presented. The meat was also tasty. It was a great experience, I can highly recommend them, especially if you’re on a quick city break where the heavy food is not beneficial at all! Thanks 🙏🏻

I've eaten at this Dean & David branch several times, either in-person or takeaway, and I've never been disappointed. With very few exceptions, the staff is always friendly.

Very friendly staff. The Caesar chicken salad was delicious and the plate was generously filled; extra chicken was available for only €2 extra.

I recently visited this Dean & David and was very disappointed. In front of the customers, the apparent owner was verbally abusing and berating the staff. This was absolutely unacceptable behavior that no customer should have to witness. The woman's tone was disrespectful and very unprofessional, even towards me. I was in the shop around lunchtime and received a wrap that didn't look fresh and was soggy. Therefore, I strongly suspect that the wraps are stored there for more than a day and are not freshly prepared. This is completely unacceptable to me, especially considering the high prices! It was a very unpleasant experience. I won't be returning.

I have adjusted my original review, as it was apparently worded ambiguously. On the evening of January 29, 2026, I was dining alone. During my visit, two employees spoke to each other in Turkish several times and for an extended period. Since I understand the language, there was no misunderstanding. The conversation wasn't solely about internal processes or product preparation. Furthermore, regardless of language comprehension, it was clear to others from the tone of voice, eye contact, and reactions that some of the comments were directed at me. This was also confirmed by the reaction of another waiting guest. I understand that conversations take place among employees. However, in this situation, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected as a guest. It's a shame, as I had previously enjoyed visiting. This experience unfortunately left a lasting negative impression on my visit.

The boss is stingy with portions; if you see her, it's best to turn back.

So, I'm sitting still at the restaurant. I told the young people at the entrance that the rice was not cooked enough, they offer me a different kind of rice, I said yes, but for my surprise they didn't make a new plate... They gave me new rice and an empty pot so I can do it myself, is obviously not a problem to do it, but is a restaurant, they should re do my order... Unpresentable.

Next time, please produce something worth ordering so we can place our orders too! 😝

For me, this is a concept that won't last much longer if improvements aren't made. Self-service, dirty atmosphere, not particularly friendly staff, and comparatively high prices. Apple spritzer for €3.75 doesn't seem right to me in a self-service setting. The seating is also uncomfortable. Therefore, I can't recommend it.

I want to share my negative experience at Dean & David in Würzburg. An employee completely forgot the chicken breast on my bowl – which can happen, I suppose. After I politely pointed it out, she wordlessly added a few pieces of chicken without apologizing. But there were only three small pieces. I mentioned that I order the same bowl there almost every day and know exactly how much chicken it usually contains. She then added a few more pieces, but literally threw the food down in front of me. Such disrespectful behavior towards customers is unacceptable – which is why I will never go to Dean & David in Würzburg again.

Japanese beef bowl was very tasty but the Chicken Teriyaki wrap was rather bland.

The salad was very good, everything was fresh, and the dressing was delicious! It's definitely worth trying everything on the menu. Great atmosphere right in the city center in a pedestrian zone.

The food at this place is very good. I highly recommend it! All the options are excellent! The service is great! I'll definitely be back!

The best healthy and delicious bowls! Mine had a bit too much sauce for my taste, but it was still very tasty. My suggestion is to serve the sauce separately so everyone can choose how much to add to their bowl. I recommend it for a healthy, tasty, and light meal. The selection of vegan dishes could be improved.

Delicious bowls, reasonably priced. Pleasant atmosphere, but the downstairs toilet is always locked; it can't be used that often. There's one more (1!) upstairs.

The food was mediocre. Bland taste, poor seasoning. After eating, I unfortunately had to use the restroom, which was almost impossible as I felt like vomiting. If I had seen the restroom before eating, I would have left immediately. Absolutely outrageous, and according to reviews, this has been a known problem for three years! The health department urgently needs to inspect this establishment. I immediately threw away the rest of my food, which I had them pack up. Disgusting!

Dean & David offers fresh, delicious dishes in a modern setting. The quality is top-notch, and everything tastes freshly prepared. One star deducted due to some high prices. Otherwise, highly recommended!

The toilets are an absolute disgrace. Above all, there are thousands of mosquitoes and flies next to the changing table. You don't want to change your baby there. The food is good, nothing can be said about it.

Are you serious? A salad for a good €18 and the “baguette” is 2(!) slices? The Caesar dressing was just sour (if that's what it was) and the vegan bacon hid itself very well. PS: then I pay a higher price at Lieferando PLUS delivery costs? Great

Unfortunately, the restaurant was a disappointment. First of all, the service was completely disorganized—not just for us, but for others as well. After we received the wrong bowl, we had to return it due to allergies and order a different one. The staff seemed completely disorganized. When we finally got the "right" bowl after a long wait, there were unfortunately toppings that weren't described. The food looked good and tasted okay. This restaurant is not recommended for people with allergies or intolerances, as many small and large mistakes are made. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. P.S. Unfortunately, there wasn't a truly sincere apology either, which is a real shame.

I got something there today, the saleswoman was so rude and unfriendly. I actually enjoy going to Dean & David but there is zero friendliness in this store.

The food is very tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant. In the lower room it is a bit noisy because of the appliances and the refrigerator, entertaining is a bit tiring. The upstairs room is pleasantly quiet and the staff are quick and very friendly.

Really very tasty and fresh dishes. The salads are great. Worth a visit at lunchtime or in the evening. What bothers me a bit is that the menu is changed regularly and as a result, favorite dishes disappear into thin air. In addition, when we last visited, there were outdated cards of different versions at the table. The “current” cards were on the counter and on the wall. If you notice that the menu has changed, I would at least like to sit down, look at the menu in peace and then go to the counter to order. Maybe just make sure that the guest, like in any other restaurant, has a valid card and is good.

We like to go there and find the selection of food on offer very good and tasty. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and watch the goings-on in the pedestrian zone.

The food was extremely tasty. I ordered a teriyaki bowl, along with a smoothie. The staff was very friendly and gave me excellent personalized recommendations. The store is very clean and you immediately feel at home. I am completely satisfied and can recommend the store.

Chicken teriyaki wrap served cold, rice inside hard and dry, and no teriyaki flavor at all. The worse food we've had in 2 weeks traveling Germany.

I usually love going to or ordering from Dean & David. This time I was there to order a Paris Salad to go. Strangely enough, this costs one euro more than in Cologne (I ordered the same one there to take away a week ago). Even a bag suddenly costs 25 cents in Würzburg (it was free in Cologne). I can't explain these price differences. I was also very upset that I had to pay for a bag when eating to go. Until now, the bag was included in every restaurant.

Came with a friend today and ordered two different wraps. The worker that was taking the order was very rude, she had asked me if I am ordering the same wrap as my friend and I said no. And then she accused me of the confusion and told me, “I asked you twice if you were ordering the same wrap”. I told her, “You have different wraps out there, and I was NOT ordering the same wrap, which was your question”. Anyway, she couldn’t let it go and had to throw it in my face a few times and accused me of misinformation. At the end I apologized just so that she could let it go. But no customer should feel this way. Especially when it wasn’t the customer’s fault. The food was okay. I understand and respect that it’s a vegan-minded place and all, but when you order something with meat and pay accordingly for it, you expect a little more meat. But the wrap was fully filled with quinoa or whatever and there was barely any meat inside.

Wir empfehlen den Falafel Tahini Salat, allerdings mit dem neuen, wirklich tollem Hummus Dressing🤩🤩 Es hat echt super geschmeckt & das Personal ist wirklich freundlich und zuvorkommend:) In unseren Augen ein wunderbarer Laden, hier kommen wir gerne wieder her!

Ich war gerade eben dort und habe die Toilette für 1 € benutzt. Eine Tankstellen Toilette ist dagegen besser ausgestattet, riecht besser und ist sauberer. Absolut eine Frechheit.

Beim Vor-Ort Essen Pfand für das Getränk mitabzurechnen, ohne dies zu erwähnen ist fast schon dreist! Da man das Geschirr in einen Abstellregal stellt, wird wohl ein Großteil der Gäste unwissentlich ihre Flaschen mit samt den Geschirr dort abstellen und nicht auf den Gedanken kommen mit der Flasche seperat nochmals zur Kasse zu gehen um das Pfand zurückzuerhalten...leider war auch der Reis verkocht und die Portion für den Preis eher recht klein

Ich gehe sehr gerne zu Dean&David. Für Zöliakiebetroffene ist dort das Essen gut machbar. Ich liebe die frische Zubereitung

Sehr schöner kleiner Laden. Wir saßen draußen an einem sehr schönen Herbsttag (29.09.23). Keine Bedienung sondern Selbstabholer. Die Toilette war sauber. Das Essen sehr sehr gut. Die Kombination aus den verschiedenen Zutaten passte perfekt und schmeckte sehr gut. Werde wieder mal dort essen. Ambiente innen ist modern und angenehm.

Der Salat mit dem Rucola Dressing hat mich total begeistert.

Schnelle Zubereitung. Sehr freundliche und kompetente Bedienung. Schmeckt auch immer alles sehr gut. Mein ACE Saft wurde beispielsweise frisch und vor meinen Augen zubereitet. Das Ambiente gefiel uns ebenfalls. Ich empfehle Dean & David gerne weiter !

Tolles Ambiente mitten in der Stadt, Fußgängerzone 👌 man sucht sich sein Essen in der Karte aus, oder stellt es sich selbst zusammen und bestellt es im Laden. Der Salat war sehr gut, alles frisch und das Dressing mega 😍 lohnt sich auf jeden Fall mal die ganze Karte durch zu probieren 💪👌

Der Avocado-Halloumi-Salat mit Granatapfelstücke schmeckt ultralecker!! Sehr frisch und gut zubereitet. Unbedingt auch den Smothiee green glow probieren 🤌🏾 einziger Haken, es gab kein Stohhalm 👻.

Ich bin erst seit kurzem auf den Genuss gekommen und ich finds mega lecker eine weitere Option für uns Veganer in Würzburg essen zu gehen 😍 Das Essen ist lecker und ich finde es super das man sich die Bowl selber zusammen stellen kann.

Tolle Salate, vegetarische Gerichte, auch Rind und Hühnchen dazu wer möchte, Bowls, Smoothie's, kleine Getränkeauswahl, Kaffee u.v.m. Plätze drinnen und draußen oder Essen zum mitnehmen. Ist zu empfehlen!

Schönes, großes SB-Restaurant. Das junge Personal hinter der Theke ist nett und freundlich. Sonntagabend war es noch geöffnet. Essen hat mir geschmeckt, obwohl ich kein 100% Reisesser bin, war das eine gute Reisschüssel. Die Portion war auch ausreichend. Schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Gerne wieder, wenn ich in der Studentenstadt Würzburg bin. Gut, lecker und günstig.

Leider war das Lokal nicht sauber, am Boden lagen überall Essensreste, Tische waren schmutzig. Es war nicht viel los, das Personal hätte Zeit gehabt....schade

Ich habe diesen Ort gerade entdeckt und ich liebe ihn! Das Essen ist super gut und gesund. Sie haben einen Kunden gewonnen! Aber was mir am besten gefallen hat, war der blonde Typ, der meinen Salat gemacht hat, super cute!. Aber die Freundin kam, um ihn zu suchen!!!! 🤣

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Außerdem ist der Service auch sehr freundlich. Ich gehe sehr gerne in der Eichhornstr.

Das Essen war gut, wie von Dean und David zu erwarten. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Allerdings war die Toilette sehr dreckig, sie hatte Autobahnparkplatz Toiletten Charme, habe mich auf dem Absatz direkt wieder umgedreht.
