There is more creativity, love and taste in Edip Sigl's menu and dishes than any other chef in my world! Anyone who hasn't even eaten here and been enchanted by the wonderful team, the ambience and the "three star cuisine" has missed something in their life.

We recently visited the Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik in Bautzen and were overall very satisfied. The historic ambiance of the approximately 600-year-old natural stone vault creates a cozy atmosphere.
Our chosen dishes, the cordon bleu and the rump steak, were excellently prepared and flavorful—solid as always.
However, we were disappointed that our mention of a birthday went unnoticed when making our online reservation. If the reason for the reservation is asked, we expect it to be taken into account. Otherwise, this question could be omitted. Such details add to the personal touch and appreciation.
Despite this minor shortcoming, we can recommend the Wjelbik for its excellent cuisine and unique ambiance.
