We went to Helena's with my parents on June 6th. I reserved a table in advance by phone and learned that the restaurant is run solely by Helena and her son, that it's only open until 9 p.m., and that dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant due to space constraints. This way, there's no room for misunderstandings. I found this very pleasant and was very excited. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table. The menu offers a good and plentiful selection of delicious dishes. The food arrived quickly and was simply delicious. The portions were sufficiently large and the price-performance ratio is good. The owner is a very pleasant person who also takes the time for a quick chat. We really enjoyed it. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back. And now, just a side note: This isn't a place where you can just show up unannounced with 20 people at 8:45 p.m. What restaurant owner wants that? To be able to offer the expected quality, a little planning security is needed. For me, it's simply good manners to announce your arrival in advance. We felt absolutely welcome here. And that's a wonderful feeling. So before anyone complains about being turned away at the door, maybe just think about it and look for good manners! The team at "bei Helena" does everything right for me.

Auch wenn ich mich mit den Hintergründen der Umbenennung des Restaurants und der Änderung der Dekoration sehr schwer tue - das SKASKA - äh Biermännchen war, ist und bleibt eine klare Empfehlung. Das Personal ist aufmerksam (aber nicht aufdringlich) und freundlich. Die Speisen sind reichhaltig, frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Von mir 5 Punkte und eine ganz klare Empfehlung!

A great Pakistani-Indian restaurant with outstanding quality. They offer lunch menus with soup, salad, and a main course for prices ranging from €8.50 to €10, which represents incredible value for money. The outdoor dining area on Stargarder is also well-shaded and inviting. To be on the safe side, make a reservation. Highly recommended!

Food and waitress great! But to be honest, €7.50 for a portion of fries is almost outrageous. What really bothered us was that “chef Franco” told us three times that we had to leave a review on Google. Personally, I can’t stand it when it’s “forced” on you.

Das Essen ist ganz ok. Es gibt besseren Döner in Mannheim, aber schlecht ist es nicht, vom Geschmack her gut. Man kann leider nur in bar bezahlen (ich finde das immer wieder fragwürdig). Die Preise sind eher im höheren Bereich. Sitzen kann man leider nicht so gut. Insgesamt ist es ganz ok, am besten nur zum abholen.
