I've eaten there three times now, and each time I'm impressed by the delicious food, the very friendly service, and the beautiful ambiance. I'll definitely go back and can definitely recommend it.

You're greeted right at the entrance and given helpful advice when ordering. The shop is a real eye-catcher. The decor is well-coordinated. Everything is fancy.

I have to admit that I haven't been this impressed with a meal in a long time. It was really incredibly tasty and we tried everything on the menu. The chicken was nice and tender and definitely recommended. I particularly liked the rice - it had a flavor that I wasn't familiar with, but I really liked it. The service was also very friendly overall and explained everything well. But what I enjoyed most was eating with my hands (you can also use cutlery). It was something new, and even though you weren't used to it, you quickly got used to it. I will definitely go there again and highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you for the great experience!

We ate "Injera with Signi and all sauces" for two people and also ordered an extra portion of warm flatbread. The standard practice is to eat with your fingers, but you can also use cutlery if you wish. Of course there is also a sink in the restaurant room to wash your hands before and after eating 😉 The service was very courteous and instructed you in the special features of the restaurant, such as that no alcoholic drinks are served in the restaurant.

Good African cuisine and nice setting but bad commercial experience. Payment only in cash but this is only announced in small letters on the card in German. During the addition, by emptying all my small coins, I was missing 1€. They forced me at 10 p.m. to go look for an ATN on the other side of the city to bring them the 1€ coin. Really not commercial. Damage.

I ordered fufu with chicken thighs and peanut sauce. Unfortunately, the food overall was very disappointing. The chicken leg was good, but the peanut sauce didn't taste good at all. The “fufu” was particularly disappointing – it was hard, crumbly and more reminiscent of pressed rice starch than real fufu. Overall the taste was very poor, especially considering the price. We were also offered bread on the phone, but without any indication of the price. In the end we charged €5.60 for two wraps, which is completely overpriced. Overall a very disappointing experience. I wouldn't order here again.

Ich habe Fufu mit Hähnchenkeule und Erdnusssoße bestellt. Leider war das Essen insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Die Hähnchenkeule war zwar gut, aber die Erdnusssoße hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Besonders enttäuschend war das “Fufu” – es war hart, bröckelig und erinnerte eher an gepresste Reisstärke als an richtiges Fufu. Geschmacklich insgesamt sehr mangelhaft, vor allem in Anbetracht des Preises. Zusätzlich wurde uns am Telefon ein Brot angeboten, allerdings ohne Hinweis auf den Preis. Am Ende wurden dafür 5,60 € berechnet – für zwei Wraps, was völlig überteuert ist. Insgesamt ein sehr enttäuschendes Erlebnis. Ich würde hier nicht noch einmal bestellen.

I can only recommend the restaurant. The food is super delicious and it's a completely new experience to eat with your fingers. The service is very nice and open, she gives tips and is friendly. Inside it looks very cool, lots of colors and very unusual furnishings. Very great, I can only recommend it. :)

A beautiful, small restaurant. It's always busy and I recommend making a reservation in advance, but if you forget it's no big deal. The food is fantastic. You eat with your hands and no one looks at you wrong if it doesn't work out perfectly right from the start. The waiters are very courteous and friendly, have good taste and can help choose dishes. The recommendations were perfect for us.

From entering the restaurant to the delicious, traditional meal, everything was perfect. The service was always friendly and accommodating, we didn't have to wait long for the food (that alone deserves its own entry here - 10/10) and the atmosphere was great. We'll definitely be regulars!

An absolute insider tip! The food at Desert Flower was simply incredible – authentic, freshly prepared and full of flavor. I can particularly recommend the Bris Bajio, Sabaayad Suqaar and Fufu with peanut sauce, they were all taste explosions! The spices were perfectly balanced - spicy, but not too hot, and simply wonderfully aromatic. The ambience was also very pleasant – warm, welcoming and furnished with great attention to detail. You immediately feel welcome. The service was super friendly, attentive and happy to explain what was behind the different dishes. I will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend this restaurant - a piece of Africa in the middle of Fulda!

On the recommendation of our hotel, we ordered a table with 8 people. The menu we looked at before appealed to all of us. Another new experience was that there are no alcoholic drinks here (we also knew that beforehand). The food was very good, but we had to wait over an hour for it. I would pay the desert flower a visit again.

Very tasty and special food! It was our first time there and we received extremely friendly and pleasant service. The staff left nothing to be desired and were very accommodating. A special recommendation for the "Desert Flower" cocktail and the dessert pastry balls with Nutella, pistachio cream, and coconut flakes. Everything was explained to us well beforehand, and we enjoyed eating with our hands, even though the staff assured us that using cutlery would be no problem. It feels good to touch the food and has a natural quality to it. We will definitely be happy to come back!

Ate very tasty, rather expensive. We had made reservations and the restaurant was well attended. Just FYI, there is no alcohol here. Of three non-alcoholic beers, only one was there. In my opinion, however, there are too many tables in the small restaurant. Dog is allowed.

Hello, four of us were in the restaurant yesterday. And we loved the facility. The service was super nice. It turned out that we knew each other. Funny. Gluten-free was a bit difficult but a dish was possible. Rice with chicken leg. It was a really great meal with exceptional, well-balanced spices. Price performance is also completely okay.

What an exciting experience in the desert flower. We had a wonderful evening with an extraordinary ambience, delicious food and the best seat in the restaurant, right by the window. The first and unexpected experience of eating with your hands was challenging, especially because of the peanut sauce. It was allowed to eat traditionally African with your hands, finally licking all 10 fingers like a child ;-). When tea was served we held our hands up. Luckily there were cups. What brought us the greatest joy that evening was the lovely staff, what friendly and attentive staff. This led to an indescribably fun evening on both sides. You're great. The owner is also a super nice guy, always warm and committed - sometimes maybe a little too much, but that's what makes the shop so charming. You are greeted and taken straight to the table and have a very great atmosphere. The only point where the restaurant takes away my 5 stars is the space, the restaurant is a little too small but it was enough for two people.
