Es war sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir haben in der Bibliothek gesessen und waren überrascht das es noch einen Bereich zum draußen sitzen gab. Alles sehr schön eingerichtet. Unsere Bedingungen war sehr freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker 😋

Mein Lieblingsrestaurant! Das Essen ist top und auch die Bedienung 💛!

Wir saßen bei 26 Grad Celsius im klimatisierten Wintergarten. Der Service war super und sowohl Essen als auch Getränke waren super. Große Auswahl, ansehnlich angerichtet und geschmacklich einwandfrei. Gern wieder!

Klein und richtig fein. Wenn wir mal wieder in Rostock sind, ist diese sympathische Lokalität vorgemerkt. Nicht zuletzt wegen des ausgezeichneten Essens.

Wir waren zum Frühstücken dort. Das Büffett war reichhaltig und lecker. Für 27 Euro/ Person waren auch Getränke( kein Alkohol( inklusive. Es war gemütlich und der Service freundlich.

Die Reise von Berlin hierher hat sich in jeder Hinsicht gelohnt! Unbedingt besuchen!

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal bei Käthe. Volle Punktzahl, 10 von 5 ! Wir sind begeistert, der tolle Mann vom Service…..großartig! Das Essen ist sehr gut! Der Laden gemütlich und zum wohlfühlen. Beim nächsten Besuch in Rostock kommen wir wieder!

Sehr gutes Essen, wechselnde und sehr abwechslungsreiche Auswahl an Essen, Getränken. Die Bedienung ist durchweg nett und freundlich. Es finden immer wieder interessante Veranstaltungen. statt. Das Käthe macht einfach Spaß.

Wir haben uns spontan für ein Abendessen entschieden und uns auf die Bewertung verlassen und wurden NICHT enttäuscht. Wir haben im Wintergarten gesessen und haben uns dort wohl gefühlt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, das Essen war mega lecker! Das Angebot ist zwar kleiner als woanders, dafür aber spezieller und vollkommen ausreichend. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist vollkommen okay. Wir haben für 5 Erwachsene mit je einem Hauptgericht und 1-2 Getränken plus 1x den sehr zu empfehlenden Vorspeisenteller für 2 Personen, den wir uns alle geteilt haben, ca. 180 € gezahlt. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant sehr gerne weiter und kommen bestimmt wieder vorbei, wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind.

Mega coole Location mit Bibliothek und Wintergarten. Super freundliches Team. Frische Produkte auf der Karte. Tolle Speisen (bis auf die "viel zu kleinen Schnitzel" äh Teller🤪) Der Spargel hatte deshalb keinen Platz und musste auf einem extra Teller sitzen (hier nicht im Bild🙃). Einen extra Stern gibt's von mir für die große 'Alkoholfrei-Getränke-Karte'! Ihr zeigt einfach, dass sehr gute Gastronomie auch in diesen Zeiten geht! Danke EUCH und jeder Zeit gerne wieder!

Wir sind mittlerweile schon wieder eine Woche zu Hause, aber unser Besuch im Restaurant Käthe klingt immer noch nach. Genau deshalb möchten wir diese Bewertung unbedingt abgeben, ganz klar fünf von fünf Sternen, egal ob Service, Essen oder die gesamte Location, hier passt einfach alles. Auch wenn wir die Live-Events mit Musikern und Künstlern diesmal leider nicht miterleben konnten, merkt man sofort, welches besondere Flair dort entsteht. Das holen wir beim nächsten Mal definitiv nach. Wir haben das Restaurant besucht und waren von Anfang an begeistert, auch wenn wir zunächst dachten, unser Tisch wäre nicht ideal. Im Nachhinein hat sich genau das Gegenteil herausgestellt, es war ein wirklich schöner und gemütlicher Platz. Das Essen war einfach phänomenal. Egal ob Vorspeise, Hauptgericht oder Dessert, alles war perfekt abgestimmt, sehr rund und unglaublich lecker. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe und Können gearbeitet wird. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Umgang im Team. Der Inhaber geht äußerst respektvoll, ruhig und herzlich mit seinen Angestellten um. Selbst wenn mal etwas schiefgeht, ein Glas herunterfällt oder zerbricht, bleibt er gelassen, packt selbst mit an und begegnet allen weiterhin freundlich und wertschätzend. Das sieht man selten und hat uns wirklich beeindruckt. An beiden Abenden, an denen wir dort waren und es sehr gut besucht war, blieb das gesamte Team aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich als Gast jederzeit gesehen und willkommen. Eigentlich hatten wir geplant, zwei Tage später ein anderes Restaurant auszuprobieren, haben diesen Plan aber kurzerhand verworfen und sind direkt wieder hierher zurückgekehrt. Das spricht wohl für sich. Besonders schön ist außerdem die Atmosphäre, die durch regelmäßig stattfindende Live-Musik mit Künstlern und Musikern zusätzlich bereichert wird, auch wenn wir diese selbst diesmal leider nicht erleben konnten. Für uns ist ganz klar, sollten wir wieder in der Nähe sein, egal ob beruflich oder privat, werden wir dieses Restaurant mit großer Freude erneut besuchen. Wenn wir sogar hier in der Nähe wohnen würden, wäre es definitiv ein fester Bestandteil für uns. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt steht Käthe auf jeden Fall wieder ganz oben auf unserer Liste. Fazit, zwei rundum gelungene Abende mit hervorragendem Essen, tollem Service und einer besonders angenehmen Atmosphäre. Absolute Empfehlung und immer wieder gerne!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant in Rostock! Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, freundlicher Service und super leckerer Kaffee. Auch die Auswahl an Kuchen und kleinen Snacks ist top. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl und kommt gerne wieder. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Kellnerin hatte viel Geduld mit unserem Deutsch und stellte mir meine neue Lieblingsübersetzung für Rhabarber vor: rosa Sellerie. Wir bestellten nur Vorspeisen und Desserts, da der Service etwas langsam war, aber die Hauptgerichte sahen fantastisch aus.

Gestern waren wir beim Restaurant Käthe in Rostock. Wir haben zu Weihnachten einen Gutschein für dieses Restaurant von unseren Eltern bekommen. Also machten wir uns nach der Frühschicht in Bremen direkt auf dem Weg nach Kühlungsborn und Abendessen hier. Das Essen war der Hammer es gab Spagel ein 1/4 Pfund mit Hähnchenschnitzel. Dazu wurde es mit einer sehr leckeren Soße gereicht sowie angebraten Kartoffeln. Die Dareichung war sehr liebevoll und wir waren satt gewesen Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und bedanken uns für diese tollen Gaumenschmauß

Ich war mit meinen Mädels zum Brunch da und wir haben es sehr genossen! Eine tolle Auswahl. Alle Speisen und Getränke waren sehr lecker. Ich hätte hier den knusprigsten Bacon und das Beste Rührei :) auch die Waffelstation war ein Highlight. Ich würde es jedem weiterempfehlen

Update 24.04.2026 Wir hatten heute eine verdammt kurzfristige Buchung vorgenommen. Binnen 10 Minuten waren wir nun auch noch früher da. Und es war wieder mal perfekt. Liebe Chefs - ihr seid ja schon meine Lieblingsdiven aber die Mädelscrew heute Abend war irre gut. Keine Details ( wären zu viele ). Aber auch wieder einen Gruß an die Küche . Blaubeer Aoli - ich will mehr . Und das Risotto - mein Favorit. Wenn ich wieder in Rostock bin - definitiv die Käthe 🫶 Wenn du in den Genuss des Service kommst ( und es ein Genuss ) - wenn du dich bei der der Auswahl der Gerichte nicht festlegen möchtest, weil du willst einfach alles essen und wenn du am Ende einen absolut fairen Preis in Rechnung gestellt bekommst - dann hast du wirklich einen tollen Abend erlebt. Danke, das ihr mir heute meinen Glauben an einen tollen Service und an wunderbare Gerichte zurück gegeben habt. 🙏 Wir haben es sehr genossen.

Ich komme gerne her zum Essen. Die Speisekarte ist klein und man findet trotzdem was. Die Karte war neu. Ich hatte die Polentaknödel. Leider waren sie ein wenig zu salzig. Aber sonnst alles top....

Sehr leckere Auswahl an vegetarisch / veganen Speisen, die man definitiv nicht überall bekommt. Personal super freundlich und Ambiente sehr ansprechend. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren zum Frühstück an einem Samstag hier und ich wurde förmlich umgehauen. Es fing alleine schon an, dass der Gastgeber uns persönlich empfangen und zu Tisch geführt hat. Der Gastgeber, übrigens, eine 20/10, äußerst sympatisch und aufmerksam! Das Frühstück war sensationell, es war für jeden was dabei und die Qualität des Essens bzw. die Präsentation war super. Der erste Filterkaffee schmeckte sehr stark, aber hier hat der Gastgeber selbstständig gehandelt und hat sich sofort um einen Ersatz bemüht. Das i-Tüpfelchen waren allerdings die passenden Bieruntersetzer zu den Bieren, die wir im Nachgang bestellt hatten - das sind zwar Kleinigkeiten, aber für mich ein Detail, das es leider viel zu wenig gibt. Vielen Dank für das kulinarische Erlebnis und wir kommen DEFINITIV wieder. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt.

Nette Atmosphäre, nette Kellnerinnen. Leider kein Bauernfrühstück auf der Karte. PS: der Bauernfrühstück-Spruch war nicht ganz ernst gemeint, auch wenn ich gerne etwas rustikaler diniere. Das „alternative Essen” war super.

Wir sind gestern Abend auf Empfehlung unseres Sohnes im Cafe Käthe eingekehrt und würden nicht enttäuscht. Gastfreundschaft wird hier groß geschrieben. Wir wurden unglaublich freundlich empfangen. Außerdem haben wir richtig lecker gegessen. Ich liebe es wenn die Speisekarte klein, aber ausgewählt ist. Tolle Zutaten werden wunderschön angerichtet. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Restaurant Käthe und es war klasse! Der Service super nett, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam - aber auch nicht zu aufdringlich. Das Essen war durchweg fantastisch – vom Kinderschnitzel über die Vorspeisenplatte bis hin zum Hauptgang, alles war hervorragend und sehr lecker. Wir waren definitiv nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Gemütliches Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Weihnachtsbuffet war vielseitig und lecker.

Wir waren schon ein paar mal dort, dieses mal mit einer größeren Gruppe, 4 Kindern und 1 Hund. Wie immer war das Essen großartig wirklich exzellent und eine tolle Auswahl. Auch kulinarisch überzeugt das Käthe auf ganzer Linie: hochwertige, liebevoll zubereitete Speisen, eine stimmige und ausgewogene Karte und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Grauburgunder ist dabei meine klare Empfehlung. Ein echtes Kleinod der Gastronomie in der KTV, das man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Unbedingt vorab reservieren!

Einmal da gewesen, zack: schockverliebt! Tolles Essen mit aussergewöhnlicher vegetarischer Küche: Rote Beete Risottobällchen, Spinatknödel, Pilzrisotto, frische Salat - ein Traum! Wirklich vorzüglich, frisch und vor allem für Vegetarier:innen sehr zu empfehlen.

The Advent breakfast is fantastic

The service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy, and the food was beautifully presented. You could say it's a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The main courses could have been a bit spicier, but that's a matter of personal taste.

Reservation & Arrival Reserved for 6:30 p.m., arrived five minutes early. After a short, acceptable wait, we were shown to our table. Seating We were seated in a corner – right next to a table for five with very chatty women (topic: mostly literature). The tables were so close together that you could hear every single word and almost felt like a silent guest at the next table. Unfortunately, this wasn't ideal for a quiet dinner for two; a little more space would have significantly improved our comfort. Service & Timing The staff were consistently friendly, polite, and clearly attentive – this is a definite plus. Nevertheless, the evening revealed some clear weaknesses in its execution: • 6:45 p.m.: Drinks arrived (approximately 15 minutes after ordering, along with the starter and main course) • 6:55 p.m.: Starter (warm goat cheese) – excellent in both taste and preparation • 7:45 p.m.: Main course – exactly 75 minutes after ordering A wait of almost an hour between the starter and main course is simply too long for a normal dinner, especially when you arrive very hungry. During this time, my girlfriend had already been fantasizing about trying alternative dishes at other restaurants. Interestingly, the neighboring table (clearly visible in the room) received significantly more attentive and frequent service. My assumption is that our corner table was apparently outside the staff's normal line of sight, making us "invisible" at times. Food Now for the most important part. The starter (warm goat cheese) was excellent – ​​a perfect match in both taste and presentation. The main course (pasta) was also very good. The food was hot and freshly prepared. Overall Impression The kitchen is definitely impressive, and the team puts in a great effort. However, it must be said: A successful restaurant visit depends on the complete package of excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere, and smooth, timely service. When the main course isn't served until an hour and a quarter later, and you can hear the entire conversation of the very loud neighbors, the overall experience suffers considerably. Conclusion: The potential is clearly there – with a little more space between the tables and better organization of the service (especially when fully booked), the restaurant could truly shine. As it stands, the impression is somewhat mixed: Great food, but service that simply couldn't keep up that evening. As mentioned, our waiter was very attentive – however, there were probably too few staff for the number of customers. We will likely return, but next time at a quieter time and with correspondingly more patient expectations.

We've been to Käthe's several times, and it's always simply outstanding. The menu changes regularly, so there's always something new to discover. No matter what I've ordered so far, it's always been beautifully presented and tasted absolutely wonderful. The staff are consistently very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Käthe's is always worth a visit, and you should definitely make a reservation to ensure you can enjoy the excellent service and delicious food.

Everything is quaint and cozy. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They asked about allergies and special requests. The food was simply delicious. I could have licked the plate clean with dessert. Everything was seasoned perfectly, without any one flavor being overpowering. I immediately recommended it to friends and family.

We went to Rostock today for a girls' day out. To start the day off right, we had brunch here. We had booked in advance, which is definitely necessary. We received such a warm welcome and were shown to our table. Everything was explained to us immediately, and we were offered a glass of Prosecco to toast the occasion. It's very cozy and clean here. You immediately feel at ease. There was both hot and cold food. There was something for everyone. From rolls, cold cuts, and cheese to jams, salads, and muesli, all the way to delicious cakes. Small meatballs, roasted vegetables, scrambled eggs with bacon, and make-your-own waffles rounded out the selection. Coffee, latte, tea, juices, and other drinks were also included in the brunch. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we had to sit in the conservatory, which was really cold and uncomfortable when we arrived. I think it would be a good idea to heat it up before seating guests.

I spent an evening with friends at Café Käthe the other day. My last visit was years ago (and without any negative experiences). We were completely pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed by the quality of the food. It was not only very good, but also beautifully presented. The number of non-alcoholic aperitif options is particularly noteworthy. I have the highest praise for that! The service was courteous, attentive, and thoughtful. I'll keep Café Käthe on my radar and will be back!

After several visits, I can only agree with all the reviews. The food – especially the value for money – is absolutely top-notch. Fresh, seasonal produce is perfectly interpreted. The service is more than polite, attentive, and on the ball, also top-notch! The ambiance is harmonious, cozy, and understated. All in all, a definite recommendation!

Käthe is a lovingly crafted, gourmet restaurant near Dobi. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes leaves nothing to be desired. However, reservations are recommended to ensure you experience this explosion of flavors. The people here are extremely friendly and fit perfectly into this setting.

Food delicious, all around everything was great - gladly again

We ate here with a larger group. Unfortunately, none of us understood the extremely positive reviews. The food is rather mediocre. Of the pumpkin seed-battered schnitzels, only one was coated in pumpkin seeds, and the mushroom cream sauce had hardly any mushrooms and had a pudding-like consistency. The braised cheeks had a good texture, and the bowls and appetizers were perfectly fine. Overall, the food was rather sweet in taste. The ambiance also left something to be desired; at 9:15 PM, the waiters at the table next to us started polishing cutlery, while on the other side, a buffet for the next day was already being set up. The waiter who served us was very friendly and unobtrusive, however. They played pop music a bit too loudly throughout, which was rather distracting during the meal. Given the abundance of good reviews, we expected much more.

A great location for fresh, flavorful, high-quality dishes—worth the wait. The service was attentive, caring, and perfect throughout. We'd love to come back soon. Stay the way you are. 👍🏻

It was the perfect blend of professionalism and family-like hospitality. For us, one thing is certain: Käthe is a true highlight in Rostock, which we would recommend at any time. The service and ambiance (with the exception of the restrooms, which were somewhat plain but smelled of lavender) were like being in a five-star restaurant, making for a wonderful evening for me and my family. At the same time, the ambiance was relaxed. The service was simply personable and humorous; I've rarely experienced such friendly service in a restaurant. There was something for everyone on the menu, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal at Käthe.

It was okay, except for the end... Last round was announced 1.5 hours before closing time. They charged a hefty tip. 15 minutes later, you were supposed to finish your drink and leave, even though the official closing time was only 50 minutes away. The way it was handled didn't contribute to a pleasant atmosphere at all. I come from a restaurant background myself – that's not how you treat customers!

We couldn't have spent a more pleasant summer evening last Saturday than at Restaurant Käthe. From "A for aperitif" to "Z for attentive service," everything was perfect. We were particularly impressed by the variety of appetizers and the diverse selection of drinks. We're already looking forward to returning soon and discovering more culinary creations.

Even though we arrived at the restaurant five minutes before closing time, we were still greeted and served very warmly. There was a great selection of food, and the dishes we ordered were super, super delicious. A great selection of music played in the background, and overall, we had a very pleasant evening here :) The servers were very friendly and accommodating. Furthermore, the women's restrooms were very well-equipped and very clean. (There's also a changing table if you're staying there with a baby.) We weren't from Rostock, but when we're back in town, we'll definitely be back here :)

It was fantastic here. The breakfast selection was plentiful and lovingly prepared. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the friendly and attentive service.

We came here for dinner and were absolutely thrilled. Highly recommended. The dishes were creative and delicious, not your average, run-of-the-mill fare. The service was super friendly without being overly pretentious. I get the impression that everyone here is doing their job right. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Curious and full of anticipation, we entered the restaurant at exactly 1:59 p.m. We were asked to leave because it opened at 2 p.m. We waited another five minutes outside the restaurant. Upon re-entering the restaurant and asking if we could go in, we were told that "the door was open, after all." Too bad, it wasn't the right place for us, because eating isn't just about the eye, but also about politeness.

We came here for breakfast and I highly recommend it.
