Kellergeister in Rostock

Ich war kürzlich mit meiner Tochter in diesem Restaurant und muss sagen, alles war super und wirklich top! Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen kam schnell, war schmackhaft und einfach nur lecker. Die Atmosphäre war total gemütlich, perfekt für einen entspannten Abend. Meine Tochter hat dieses Restaurant nur durch Zufall per Internet gefunden und wir waren sofort total begeistert. Wir werden das Restaurant Kellergeister auf jeden Fall immer wieder gerne weiterempfehlen!

5 Sterne – absolut verdient! Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend im Kellergeister in Rostock verbracht. Schon das Ambiente hat uns begeistert: Der helle, stilvoll gestaltete Gewölbekeller schafft eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre – gemütlich, einladend und gleichzeitig etwas Besonderes. Auch die Liebe zum Detail ist bemerkenswert. Selbst auf den Damen-Toiletten ist an alles gedacht, sogar Deo und Haarspray stehen zur Verfügung. Das erlebt man wirklich selten und zeigt, wie viel Wert hier auf das Wohl der Gäste gelegt wird. Kulinarisch war der Besuch ein voller Erfolg. Wir hatten Schollenfilet und Kalbsleber. Beide Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet, frisch, geschmacklich perfekt abgestimmt und von bester Qualität. Das Schollenfilet war wunderbar zart und saftig, die Kalbsleber auf den Punkt gegart und ausgesprochen aromatisch. Man merkt, dass hier mit frischen Zutaten und viel Sorgfalt gekocht wird. Die Portionsgrößen waren genau richtig: großzügig genug, um richtig satt zu werden, aber nicht überladen. Dazu kam ein sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service, der den Abend perfekt abgerundet hat. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die in Rostock gut essen und einen besonderen Abend verbringen möchten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind !

Ich und mein Freund waren für eine Spontane Date Night zum ersten mal vor Ort. Es war etwas kleiner als angenommen aber trotzdem ausreichend. Wir bekamen sofort einen Tisch ohne Reservierung an einem Samstag Abend. Die Bedienung war höflich und aufmerksam. Die Vorspeise, Hauptgang sowie das Dessert stellte uns vollständig Zufrieden. Die Portionen waren für die Preise angemessen. Das Hausgemachte Brot mit dem Sauerrahm Dip kann ich wärmstens Empfehlen. Das Licht empfand ich als sehr angenehm. Trotz des warmen Wetters war die Temperatur angenehm. Man kann auch auf Englisch bestellen und Kartenzahlung ist möglich. Ich bin begeistert und komme gerne wieder!

Sehr schönes, kleines Restaurant etwas Abseits vom Rostocker Trubel. Toller Service, sehr geschmackvolles, frisch zubereitetes Essen. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Jederzeit sehr gerne wieder.

Ein wirklich tolles Gewölberestaurant mit deutscher Hausmannskost, genau gegenüber der Marienkirche. Man fühlt sich hier ehrlich willkommen, der Wirt ist ausgesprochen zugewandt. Das Kellerambiente ist phantastisch und urgemütlich. Das Essen war durchweg frisch zubereitet und lecker. Es sind tatsächlich auch frische Rippchen, Hähnchenkeulen und Spieße auf der Karte, ebenso wie Mecklenburger Wickelbraten oder auch Fisch. Meine Gäste waren rundum begeistert und es war für sie eine Entdeckung. Unsere unbedingte Empfehlung.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Es fing schon alles super an. Telefonisch reserviert und es ging auf Deutsch und man wurde verstanden. Zur abgesprochen Zeit, war der Tisch fertig und wir mussten nicht warten. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Bestellung ging ohne Zettel/Stift oder Tablett wo so manche Servicekraft ewig braucht für Sonderwünsche.Essen kam alles so wie bestellt und abgesprochen 👍Vorspeise war super, Hauptgang war super und als Nachtisch ein Kindergericht gewählt ( selbstgemachte Eierpfannkuchen und kein TK-Fertigmüll!) Super Abschluss. Der Besuch war jeden Taler wert, lange nicht mehr einen so gelungenen Restaurantbesuch gemacht. Das Essen hat aufjedenfall mit Qualität und Geschmack überzeugt 👍 Danke an die Kellergeister, immer wieder gerne 🤗

Haben die Ostertage in Rostock verbracht und haben anhand der guten Speisekarte hier reserviert. Essen war super lecker und reichlich - eine Geschmacksexplosion. Hauswein und Schnaps haben sehr gut geschmeckt auch reichlich :D. Der Wirt war nett, keck, aufmerksam jedoch ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Preise sehr fair und transparent. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend und würden sofort wieder kommen. Fazit: geselliges, urigens Lokal mit dem gewissen nordischen Flair.

Wir kamen während der Öffnungszeiten an, wurden aber mit dem Kommentar „Keine Chance“ hinausgeworfen.

Wir waren gestern hier gewesen und hatten Glück, dass wir noch einen Tisch für 2 Personen bekommen hatten. Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war super lecker (Geisterburger, Würzfleisch, Schnitzel mit Champions). Das Essen ist mit viel Liebe und frisch zubereitet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig in Ordnung. Am Wochenende sollte man unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Also SOWAS haben wir noch nicht erlebt! Am Sonntag 19.45 Uhr als Gast zum Speisen SOWAS von abgewiesen worden, viele Tische frei hätten zwar kurz abgeräumt werden müssen, aber nein er hätte auch noch andere Sachen zu erledigen, da wurden wir wieder rausgebeten! Sehr unfreundlich!

Sollte ich jemals im Todestrakt landen sollen die mir die letzte Mahlzeit zubereiten. Es ist himmlisch.

Top Lokation!!! Uraltes Gewölbe, tolle Atmosphäre. Der Kellner Werner ist sehr aufmerksam, ein Inventar der einfach dazu gehört!!! Sehr gute Küche, Schnitzel werden noch platiert & selber paniert ..Küche eins A!!! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne zu Euch!!! Macht weiter so!!!!

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit einem super netten und aufmerksamen Kellner. Beim Essen hat man gemerkt das es selbstgemacht ist und nicht aus dem TK kommt. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. :) Sehr zu empfehlen das Puten Cordon Bleu

Wir waren am 19.12.2025an meinem Geburtstag in der gut bürgerlichen Gaststätte ^Kellergeister^. Wir waren vom Ambiente gleich beim reinkommen begeistert. Der Service war nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir hatten 2 Bauernfrühstück, 1x Schnitzel Letscho und Geistergeflüster und danach hatten wir Kellergeister Dessert ( Überraschungsdessert) war sehr lecker. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen bald wieder.

Der Service war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und zudem typisch Rostocker Freundlich, leicht rauh aber super herzlich! Wir hatten als Vorspeise die Erbsensuppe, dazu Sauerteigbrot. Als Hauptgang Wickelbraten und Scholle. Alles in allem super lecker, super Service. Preislich vollständig in Ordnung. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Weihnachtsfeier Monate im Vorraus gebucht - am Termin dann 14 Leute vor der Tür stehen lassen mit der Begründung wir hätten uns auf Anrufe nicht gemeldet . Tage später ruft der Chef an und entschuldigt sich , angeblich hätte der Kellner an dem Abend keinen Bock auf noch mehr Gäste gehabt . Kein Entgegenkommen aber die Aussage „ wir hoffen wir bekommen jetzt keine schlechte Rezension „ .

A cozy restaurant with very friendly staff and good food.

Not recommended. We had our Christmas party on December 6th. We made a reservation in October and received confirmation. When we arrived on the day, there was a sign saying it was a private event. We were turned away at the door without an apology. They hadn't even contacted us beforehand. A complete disgrace and unprofessional. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Thankfully, there are so many great restaurants in Rostock that it wasn't a problem getting a table, even for a large group.

We went there for a company dinner with 15 people. It's cozy and the menu is easy to understand. The prices are affordable and I thought the food was very tasty. I would have liked dumplings and ginger ale, but otherwise it was excellent 👍🏻

On November 20, 2025, our group of 26 stopped at the Kellergeister restaurant after a night watchman tour as part of a company event, to enjoy a relaxing end to our evening. It was the perfect place. The service was quick and friendly, and the pre-ordered meals were simply divine. Whether fish or duck, vegetarian or soup, everything was prepared with love, and you could taste it. And then there was dessert… mmm 😋 Thank you so much, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to seeing you again.

Highly recommended! Seriously friendly, Hanseatic service and a menu that leaves nothing to be desired. Don't plan anything else after that; everything else you eat later in the evening will have to take a back seat. We'll definitely be back!

This place is definitely worth a visit! The food is absolutely delicious, everything is super fresh, and it's not a chain restaurant. The atmosphere is very cozy with incredibly warm and friendly service. We celebrated our wedding there and want to say a huge thank you again for everything. We had a wonderful time with you. We had a wonderful evening as a couple!!! The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and the vaulted cellar is truly unique. The service is incredibly kind and friendly, yet also personal and welcoming. Now for the most important part: the food. It was freshly cooked (sadly, that's not always the case anymore), absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. They offer good, traditional German cuisine that is perfectly balanced and well-seasoned. The menu is concise but more than adequate. I much prefer that to a million different dishes that only taste half-baked. Overall, everything was fantastic, and we will definitely be back!!

We were truly pampered in this 17th-century vaulted cellar. Extremely hospitable. Delicious food, regional cuisine, and Rostock beer. Excellent value for money. Nothing was left to be desired.

A very nice restaurant with great service: attentive, warm, and yet pleasantly relaxed, exactly what I would expect as a guest, and the food was delicious. The main course initially seemed a bit small, but paired with an appetizer, the portion was just right and pleasantly filling, without leaving me feeling hungry or overfilled. The Rostocker Zwickel (beer) was particularly delicious as a perfect accompaniment. All in all, a successful evening with friendly, attentive service – highly recommended!

I spontaneously called to see if it was still possible to make it tonight... I received a genuine and warm welcome... A fantastic starter (feta cheese) and a delicious main course (cordon bleu), which was a very generous portion... Friendly, friendly service and a rustic atmosphere. Interesting menu, incredibly friendly service, and a rustic atmosphere (warm in the summer because the restaurant is located in the basement). The food was okay, but could have been improved. The pork fillet could have been a bit juicier, more eggnog in the ice cream sundae, and little things that don't really matter. We'd be happy to come back.

The ambiance is very quaint and appealed to me personally. I liked the open, friendly service. You really can't complain about the prices here. You get a really adequate amount for what you pay. I ordered a grilled platter. The ribs were delicious, but they were quite tough. They say that ribs should almost fall off the bone. That was definitely not the case here. The chicken thighs were also a bit tough. The rest of the food was just right, not tough, and well-seasoned. The sauces were also really delicious.

We were looking for a restaurant serving German cuisine and found one. Everything was absolutely fantastic, including the chicken heart soup, the Kellermeisterteller (cellar master's plate), and the Hamburg schnitzel (good thing the Haus Sonne-Hotel isn't that far away). It couldn't be better, and the prices are amazing! If in Rostock, only go there, thank you.

Highly recommended! We've been there several times, and our first impressions have been confirmed. Quality, service, ambiance, child-friendly... Everything's just right. If time permits, the hosts are happy to take the time for an anecdote or small talk. The prices are very reasonable, starting at around €12 for a main course.

The reservation worked perfectly via email, even at short notice. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The price/performance ratio was completely acceptable. The portions were normal. I could have eaten more 🤭 but I'm not average 😉

We were passing through and were both hungry after a day of driving and in the mood for a cozy, unhurried space. By chance, we found everything our hearts desired and more. The whole family enjoyed the food, and the service was warm and attentive. And the prices were very fair! We'd love to come back! :)

A beautiful restaurant in a vaulted cellar. I received a friendly welcome and very good service. I ordered the steak pan with mushroom sauce, French fries, and sour cream. The food was incredibly delicious and piping hot until the last bite. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular there by now.

Highly recommended, something different and the cellar vault is from the 16th century. We were also very friendly to our child and even gave us pens and coloring sheets.

We, six former Mecklenburg girls, reserved a table there based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. We were able to spend a very nice evening there with a wonderful atmosphere and unique food and would like to thank you very much for that. We felt very welcome and were served very nicely; it was like “coming home” for us. We went to other Rostock restaurants that weekend, but none could keep up with the outstanding food and great service. A clear recommendation and guaranteed again on the next trip to Rostock.

Surprisingly cozy and cleverly run cellar restaurant. It's worth going down the stairs. Approximately 40 seats with super-friendly service. Very tasty food, whether fish or meat or salad. Homemade warm bread with sour cream. All highly recommended.

Were there in a large group. Ordering went quickly. But had to wait 90 minutes for the food. Unfortunately. The food could use a little more salt. Otherwise it was okay. The service too. The ambience is very worth seeing.

We found this restaurant through Google by chance. Were in Rostock for just one evening and were looking for something for dinner. We are positively surprised. Have rarely sat and eaten so well. The service was great, as was the food. You can taste the joy of cooking. From the kitchen you could hear meat being plated. A rare sound these days. Everything was freshly cooked and prepared with love, despite the tables being full (Christmas parties). The portions are great! You're not full just by looking at your plate. Conclusion: We would love to come back!
