Highly recommended, something different and the cellar vault is from the 16th century. We were also very friendly to our child and even gave us pens and coloring sheets.

We, six former Mecklenburg girls, reserved a table there based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. We were able to spend a very nice evening there with a wonderful atmosphere and unique food and would like to thank you very much for that. We felt very welcome and were served very nicely; it was like “coming home” for us. We went to other Rostock restaurants that weekend, but none could keep up with the outstanding food and great service. A clear recommendation and guaranteed again on the next trip to Rostock.

Surprisingly cozy and cleverly run cellar restaurant. It's worth going down the stairs. Approximately 40 seats with super-friendly service. Very tasty food, whether fish or meat or salad. Homemade warm bread with sour cream. All highly recommended.

Were there in a large group. Ordering went quickly. But had to wait 90 minutes for the food. Unfortunately. The food could use a little more salt. Otherwise it was okay. The service too. The ambience is very worth seeing.

We found this restaurant through Google by chance. Were in Rostock for just one evening and were looking for something for dinner. We are positively surprised. Have rarely sat and eaten so well. The service was great, as was the food. You can taste the joy of cooking. From the kitchen you could hear meat being plated. A rare sound these days. Everything was freshly cooked and prepared with love, despite the tables being full (Christmas parties). The portions are great! You're not full just by looking at your plate. Conclusion: We would love to come back!

To the cellar ghost. To be honest, I have to mention that I originally wanted to go to another similar restaurant, but it didn't have any free tables. But sometimes there is luck in "misfortune"... because I was more than thrilled and surprised at how private you feel in the cellar and our charming waiter was immediately taken to heart... his natural manner was refreshing and his advice was in Very tasty in every way... I can say that I highly recommend the food, which was served quickly, hot and tasty, and my wife was also more than enthusiastic about her food. To drink we had Rostocker Zwickel which was personally recommended to me.... as written, by the nice waiter. The restaurant is in a small but very beautiful vaulted cellar, feels very intimate and is highly recommended.

Super delicious food, we have rarely eaten so well! We felt very comfortable and our daughter was able to paint and joke around with the bartender. When we are in Rostock again, we will definitely come by again.

Everything was fantastic. Delicious food, good value for money, friendly service, nice and cozy rooms. Only the pop music that popped up every now and then ruined the ambience a bit for us - but for the older generation at the table next door it was completely fine.

We stumbled upon many interesting restaurants in Rostock, but Kellergeister piqued our interest. We came across the restaurant in the basement by chance. Nice atmosphere, very nice and attentive service. We really liked the selection on the menu. I had the Kellergeisterschlemmerpfanne and my friend had the Cordon Bleu. We got decent sized portions and we enjoyed it very much. Other guests' dishes also looked decent. Price performance for our taste, TOP! Thank you.

After a visit 2 years ago (we were really very satisfied back then), we were there again today and can only confirm our impression from back then. Super friendly staff, also extremely child-friendly, great ambience, really tasty food and the prices are also right. We can only recommend the Kellergeister and will definitely come back when the opportunity arises!

Atmospheric premises. We were looking for a restaurant with classic German gastronomy, and we got it. The food was tasty and well prepared. Sweet and welcoming service. If you want an authentic German dining experience, I don't think you will find much better in Rostock. Child friendly!

Wir waren im Urlaub in Rostock unterwegs. Am ersten Abend sind wir zufällig auf dieses Restaurant auffällig geworden. Bereits 2 Tage später waren wir erneut dort. Es handelt sich um ein Familiengeführtes Restaurant. Das Essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Das Fleisch ist alles super zart. Man hört aus der Küche, wie es mit Liebe zubereitet wird. Und dies schmeckt man! Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Rostock werden wir erneut vorbeikommen

While looking for a restaurant for dinner we got stuck in the Kellergeist. We didn't regret the stay. The food was super tasty. There were no long waiting times. We can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. It certainly wasn't our last visit. The restaurant was also very kind to our dog. As soon as we entered we were brought a bowl of water.

Found through Google, table reserved that same evening. I like these small fine restaurants. You can taste the love for cooking as it is family run! So it can take a while, then you have some time to enjoy the ambience, drink a fine wine and enjoy the cosiness. For me, this address stays in my head and in the phone book.

Dieses Restaurant gestern zufällig in Rostock gesehen und spontan beschlossen dort einzukehren. Das Gesamte Paket war Rundherum mit das Beste was wir bis heute erlebt haben. Kann mann nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren auf Urlaub in Rostock und dort einmal essen.Nach dem Abendessen haben wir für zwei Tage wieder einen Tisch reservieren lassen. Alles hausgemachte Gerichte und eine tolle familiäre Atmosphäre.Können und wollen wir jedem nur empfehlen. Tisch Vorbestellung notwendig.

Durch Zufall, Hunger und die drohende Küchenschließung der anderen Lokale in Rostock die Treppe runter ins Reich der Kellergeister. Nach norddeutsch reservierter Begrüßung (vielleicht wäre Moin angebracht gewesen, ist um 20:45 Uhr für Hessen und Rheinländer aber schwer) Platz, Karte und Getränke. Super Pommes, alles sehr lecker und wohlschmeckend zu günstigen Preisen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Am Ende ist es dann auch schon fast vertraut.

Trotz kleiner Küche und spontanem erscheinen haben wir abends noch einen Tisch bekommen. Die Bedienung sowie der Koch sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Schöne Location sowie Dekoration passend dazu die Karte im Ledereinband, beinahe alles dort ist hausgemacht. Die Wartezeit war angenehm. Das Essen war einfach nur Sensationell gut, Portionen sowie Preis sehr angemessen. Meine Familie und ich werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Super liebes Personal und sehr Gastfreundlich in einem wunderschönen Ambiente. Dort wird der Hammer noch selber geschwungen um das Schnitzel zu verhauen. Essen war mehr wie lecker und wer gute Ost-Küche mag ist genau hier an der richtigen Stelle.

Total begeistert!!! Ich war heute zum ersten Mal in diesem tollen Restaurant und ich war wirklich total begeistert! Der Service war sehr gut (schnell aber nichtaufdringlich und sehr freundlich), die Speisekarte hat für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei und ist sehr vielfältig und übersichtlich gestaltet. Das Essen (wir hatten das Cordon bleu und den Krustenbraten) war geschmacklich sehr gut! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder um die anderen Gerichte ebenfalls zu probieren. 5 Sterne voll verdient 👍🏻

Sehr gutes Restaurant, wo das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Das Ambiente in dem Kellergewölbe ist hervorragend und lädt zum Verweilen auf. Die Essensauswahl war top! Das Essen war auch hervorragend zubereitet und angerichtet. Lediglich am Service gibt es Verbesserungspotential, da das Personal etwas mürrisch wirkte, aber dennoch nicht unfreundlich.

Schöne Ambiente, leckeres Essen und eine große Vielfalt. Auch die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Rustikale Einrichtungen was wir sehr gut finden. Als Vorspeise gab es bei uns hausgemachtes Brot mit Sour Cream und Gewürzfleisch überbacken. Als Hauptspeise war es das Schweinesteak überbacken mit Gewürzfleisch und Putenbrust Cordon Bleu mit Käse und Preiselbeeren. Können wir so nur weiter empfehlen!
