Amazing steak house very good meat 🥩 a bit on the expensive side though

We were there at 2 p.m., a group of 15. The kitchen was a bit overwhelmed; we waited a good hour for our convenience food. Everything was standard, straight from a packet. The best part of the place is the winter garden.

Not for the first time, we ordered menus to be picked up. The meat and the baked potato were nothing to complain about. The salad was great as expected. We almost lost our faith when we unwrapped the "Teriyaki Pepper Cream Sauce" and the "Crammed Mushroom Skillet": - 2 whole peppercorns in the pepper sauce - predominantly mushroom stalks (90%) in the "mushroom pan" - the taste can be changed as desired. That ruins the whole menu. We are not used to this poor quality from the Block House on Friedrichstrasse. Too bad

I recently visited the Block House at the Zoo Palast and was completely satisfied. The steak was perfectly grilled and extremely tender. The service was attentive, quick and friendly. A must for every steak lover in Berlin!

Yesterday, after a long wait, I treated myself to a steak at Block House. As usual, the steak was very tasty, ordered medium and received medium. I had a small salad beforehand and a side dish of baked potato and some herb bread. There's nothing to complain about in terms of taste, BUT the 250-gram steak probably only reached 200/210 grams, even with the best of intentions. I didn't have a scale with me ;-) and the standard answer: "They always give the raw weight." A steak can't lose that much water. The side potatoes were also extremely tasty, but also relatively modest in size. Yes, you can really eat well at Block House, it's just a shame that they skimp on a few grams to obviously increase their profits even further. So, I'll be back at Doreedos on Kurt Schumacher Platz for my next steak dinner. Not such a nice atmosphere, but the promised weights are accurate, and the side dishes are also appropriately sized.

We were there on March 8th, 2025 and celebrated a birthday with 28 people. The service was very friendly and the guests' requests were quickly met. It was a very nice evening. We can only recommend this restaurant. Once again, many thanks to the staff. We would especially like to mention Xhena, our waitress. Thank you very much.

Consistently high quality for what feels like half a century! If you look at the negative reviews, you'll feel sick. If you can't afford it and then have excessive expectations, you should just stay at home.

I visited the restaurant yesterday. It's several steps down, the atmosphere was good, the service wasn't bad, the beef fillet was good, the appearance of the plate was disappointing... I don't know if I'll go there again...

We visited last Friday At first the place look amazing But soon we just felt hot We ask the waitress a couple of timesif it is possible to lower the temperature, but nothing... We ordered stakes we ask for medium bet it was to cooked one was even more than we'll done. We slept out side to get some air And they cleared our plate without ever asking or wondering why we didn't finish. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and we end up serving ourselves. The price was astronomical for the quality of food and service. Sins nobody asked us if everything is OK and how was is we just paid the bill and left.

I have been going to the Blockhaus regularly for years, great service, great meat, everything is just right, everything is great

We've been there several times before, and we've had a less than pleasant server once or twice, but today we had a friendly server again. The food was delicious as always, as were the cocktails. It's quite dark inside, but the value for money is good, and we'll continue to eat there. We can only recommend it. The meat was cooked to perfection.
