Came here with my son on a short trip to Berlin, I’m not a fan of steak but son is so I ordered a small steak. I absolutely fell in love with the food, my son was really impressed too. We’re planning another trip to Berlin and will definitely be dining here when we’re over again. The service and staff were brilliant.

Last night, while dining at Block House, a piece of porcelain came out of my baked potato. I called the waiter over and showed him the piece. He was flustered, refused to accept my payment, and apologized. My wife almost broke her tooth. I can't believe something like this happened at Block House "Alexander Platz."

The atmosphere is typical of Blockhouse. I had the steak tartare, which unfortunately wasn't very good. It had hardly any flavor; perhaps the recipe should be updated. The main course, however, was very tasty: perfectly cooked meat and a simple but delicious baked potato.

It's worth doing. Our server, Markus, was very attentive to our needs. He clearly loves his job. Reservations are recommended, unless you're coming during the unusual dining hours after 9 pm.

We went to Block House today and got a table completely spontaneously. A huge compliment goes to our waitress. We haven't experienced such child-friendly and attentive service in a long time. The lady was very attentive to the children. Right at the beginning, the children received crayons and coloring materials. Afterwards, there were more gifts for the kids, including puzzles, crayons, chalk, and an LED shoe clip. She was also very attentive and quite quick with the drinks. We can definitely recommend it.

This is the place for you if you like meat and want to treat yourself, because it's not cheap.

I called in her while in Berlin, was greeted by a lovely smile and shown to my table, I ordered the ribeye mastercut which came with a jacket potato and garlic bread and a side salad. I then had the lovely soufflé for dessert. Reasonably priced, great flavour and service.

Simply delicious and expertly prepared, it's easily the number one "Block House" restaurant in Germany. It was a truly delicate and flavorful meal, conjured up by a top chef and served by highly professional staff! Thank you!!!

I highly recommend it! The steaks are incredibly delicious, and they'll cook them to perfection no matter what you choose. It's worth every penny! Your steak comes with fries and gravy, delicious bread, and a salad. It's always busy, so it's best to make a reservation. You can pay by card or cash. The waiters are very polite and friendly. If you're just two people, you can be seated quickly without a reservation if you come on a Friday or Saturday night.

The food was delicious again and the service was friendly. Only the ringing phone at reception near the door bothered me a bit. I'll probably sit further away from the entrance next time.

We had a delicious meal, but unfortunately, the waiter who served us muttered unintelligible comments to us three times as he walked past our table while we were putting on our jackets and about to leave. Even when paying, when we didn't enter a tip on the card reader, he asked three times, insistently and visibly offended, if "everything was alright"—pure theater! A real shame, as our bill for six people already came to €284. More than enough, in our opinion.

A horrible experience. They boast about having a menu in Spanish and gluten-free options, but it's all a scam. The only thing they have for celiacs are some meat dishes for €40, and they brought me a salad with bread. Horrible. If you're celiac, never go there.

Food, service, quality – everything was top-notch.

I liked everything except that the waiter was rude: I told him 7% of the time, and he entered 14. This is unpleasant because tips are generally given to the customer for consideration.

The quality is rather average or even inferior, definitely not worth the price, I would not recommend it.

Family lunch with decent service

We went there last week without a reservation. I like my steak just right, and my husband likes it a little more... finally, the cooking level was absolutely perfect again. The side dishes were also delicious. The entire staff was fantastic! We got the feeling they still enjoy working together as a team. They're trained hospitality professionals themselves, and it was a real pleasure to be their guests! A huge thank you to everyone. We'll definitely be back next year!

For a long, long time, Block House was my and our favorite restaurant. The prices have gone up quite a bit during our last few visits. Okay, that's the case everywhere. But at the same time, the quality hasn't been what it used to be. Somehow, it just doesn't add up anymore. It's a real shame. I'd rather go to another restaurant. It's even more expensive there, but the quality is there. The service on our last visit was incredibly friendly and attentive, and they even took a picture of us with my phone. Unfortunately, despite asking for a birthday candle, they didn't bring one. The only one at the next table was there. That's a pity. You guys were always so good at that.

An incredibly positive atmosphere. You're greeted right at the entrance, which enhances your enjoyment of the modern ambiance where guests savor delicious, juicy steaks and are pampered by waiters with cinnamon. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic steakhouse. I'm a big fan of the well-thought-out Block House concept anyway – but here at Alexanderplatz, it's truly executed to perfection. From management to every single employee, you can tell that the team works with heart, structure, and passion. Great food, superb service – a complete success!

The service was good, and most of the food was too. Only the steak tasted a bit over-seasoned to me. But the rest of the meal was great!

The service was very, very friendly and, above all, fast. The steak I had was absolutely perfect and incredibly delicious. My wife's burger unfortunately came without sauce. However, we did have a super tasty sour cream sauce. The atmosphere was nice, though a bit noisy due to the size of the restaurant. All in all, definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

The steaks here are really juicy and well-seasoned, a real treat for meat lovers. Side dishes like fries or vegetables are also freshly prepared and delicious.

Block House itself is always a safe bet when it comes to juicy steaks and other delicious dishes. The service was excellent and attentive, despite the fairly full house. Accordingly, it was quite loud, but that's just how it is. In any case, we really enjoyed it again.

Our first time eating at the Blockhaus, and it was fantastic. Despite the restaurant being busy, the food arrived very quickly. The steak was exactly as ordered! We were very satisfied and can recommend it. The service was super friendly, but not overly so.

We like to check out block houses at various locations, and once again we were not disappointed. Amidst the chaos of a large demonstration and the crowds of the Festival of Lights, a disciplined line formed in front of the entrance, which was professionally distributed to the tables. We were immediately informed about the expected time for food preparation and offered a "consolation drink." Despite the unimaginable turnaround time, the food was cooked and presented to perfection. Our server was a steadfastly hardworking young woman who, despite the stress, never missed a chance to find a kind word for her guests. Besides enjoying the perfect steaks, the evening was also more than successful thanks to this lady.

Excellent, effiecient and fast service. Food came in like 20mins. You didn't need to wait at all to be seated. Even a group of 11 people before us was seated and served really efficient. 5/5 Can recommend anytime. Prices are between 25€-40€ depends much of what you drink.

A top recommendation. We spontaneously decided on the Block House after the trade fair. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. An open kitchen and rustic furniture, really cozy. But wow, your service is excellent and everyone is great together. Now for the food: We ordered medium rump steak and medium rare fillet steak, and they arrived so perfectly. I love the garlic bread that comes with it. Thank you for the wonderful evening with you.

Late Visit, Solid Experience We arrived quite late, around 10:10 p.m., just before the kitchen closed at 10:30 p.m. Luckily, we had announced our arrival. While our first steak wasn't burnt, it unfortunately had a slightly charred flavor. However, it was promptly recooked without any discussion, and the second steak was significantly better. Still, I have to honestly say that I've had better steaks in Berlin. Nevertheless, it was a solid and satisfying meal at this late hour. The service was friendly, courteous, and pleasantly quick. The ambiance, as you'd expect from a Block House, was classic, simple, and solid. Nothing particularly special, but consistently good.

We read rave reviews about the restaurant and tried it. The quality of the meat and the other things we tried (onion soup, Caesar salad...) were okay but nothing special at all. The steak we asked for medium was a bit dry and tough. Professional and efficient service. Overall, a pretty mediocre place.

I was here a few weeks ago for my birthday. I spend a lot of time in Berlin but had never been here although my wife keeps recommemding it to me ! The master-cut steak I ordered was a lovely tender piece of meat and cooked to perfection (which for me means very well done). Thank you for not having pretentious chefs who throw hissy fits if the steak isnt served bleeding. And to top it all off the waitresses were absolutely fantastic - very friendly, very attentive. All told a great birthday experience.

We were served by a German lady with glasses, so unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was incredibly polite, genuinely cultured, and full of energy 🥰 Ja, she welcomed us so warmly n made sure everything was perfect from start to finish The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly. To top it all off, they even gave a small toy gift to our child 😍- such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made our visit feel even more special.
