My third visit I usually only visit in September post marathon. Great atmosphere usually! We were there for 1st of May. It was bloody baking outside. It was much quieter than usual. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices have gone up. Still a good choice if you fancy a mid priced steak.

BLOCK HOUSE Am Alexanderplatz is a must-visit steakhouse in Berlin. Quality meat, fresh salads, juicy burgers, tasty garlic bread and perfect sides like baked potatoes and salad. An excellent choice for lovers of good meat in a warm atmosphere and top service. 🍖🍟🍞

The best steak in town in addition to superb service. Our waiter “Hadi” was very friendly and actually remembered that we had visited a year ago. This is great customer service. As a group we enjoyed the Fillet Mignon, Mrs. Rump Steak and the Rob Eye. Its always fun to be there

Nice view of the Alster. The service was great. Unfortunately the food was bad, my wife and I's potatoes were mushy and soft. This is much better.

Spontaneously looking for a restaurant… my son’s request: steak! We were allowed to choose a table and were greeted and served in a very friendly manner! Salad was very fresh, there was a free choice of dressing (3) and the steak menus were adequately prepared and extremely to the point! We are happy to recommend it and will definitely come by again

A classic tourist trap. Ok food, but nothing special. The steak was medium a long time ago and the sides were bland. Garlic bread was good. Friendly and nice staff but ordinary service.

I would especially like to praise the dark-haired, pierced waitress. As a Berlin original, she solved an unpleasant situation (the youngest had conjured up an apple juice waterfall over the table, so that the table was dripping on all sides and the entire floor was sticking) elegantly, quickly and, so to speak, in a relaxed manner. In addition, the food came very quickly and she had all the other tables under control. Thank you for that!

There was a dead rat in their flower decoration in their outdoor dining area. 35 cm from where our plates would be placed, with our food. Pointed this out and a waiter removed it. A female manager "with a gold badge" came by and said thank you for the tip. Our waiter who had the table, not the same waiter who removed the rat, was offended that we didn't tip.... As he said "what ever" when I asked him to use the "nein" button on the payment terminal after a long "sales pitch" from him about tipping.... We gave him a short schooling that guests who find a dead rat in a restaurant should perhaps be offered a cup of coffee or an apology, instead of a sales pitch about tipping.... And that rude speech and rolling eyes when a tip is refused is totally unacceptable. Damn disgusting with a rat and the poorly trained staff with no pli.... Sad.... We of course paid full price for our dinner, even though that dinner was spoiled by the disgusting dead rat and the poor and unprofessional service. The last time we are going to Blockhaus. Got a reply where you confirm the rat. But tells that it was only a skeleton and deeply buried.... Since then it seems as if you have deleted your answer?? Have a screendumb of your answers though.... Should I put pictures of the "skeletonized and deeply buried rat" on this review to promote understanding?

Highly recommended restaurant, the serving staff fulfills every wish. Children are also welcome.

The steakhouse impresses with fresh salads and generous portions. The steak in particular was of high quality and cooked to perfection. The only point of criticism: the grill markings were too pronounced, which had a slightly negative effect on the taste of the meat. Overall, a solid experience with minor drawbacks.

Every time we are in Berlin, we stop at “our” Block House. We have never been disappointed. This time we had a really great waitress (Sindy), really warm, super nice to us and the children. She was extremely attentive and accommodating. The food was excellent, our steaks were perfectly cooked. We will 100% come back.

The price of water??? Hallucinatory. The New York Cheeseburger is neither a burger nor a NY. Horrible “burger”. Peppery flavor, dry and very cooked. I won't come back.

I had dinner here early sept on a Saturday evening. It was a very warm day so was a wait on outside tables, but we were seated by the open windows inside promptly and was as good. Service was first rate, as was the produce. Food selection was good, as was beer & wine. Excellent value for money and a great view over Alex’platz!

Great steaks, great food, very polite waitress that served us. A waiter named Sascha practically forced me to leave a tip. I absolutely didn't like his behaviour and the angry comments he made at me when I was paying.

We had dinner with our team at Block House Berlin last week and I was really impressed. As a starter I had a carpaccio plate which was very tasty. My main course, the Mr. Rum steak, was perfectly grilled, nice and big and tasted great. There was also a small side baguette and fries - both also very tasty. For dessert I had the Chocolate Lava Cake, which was extremely delicious and I can absolutely recommend it. The Block House is definitely a recommendation for me for the next visit to Berlin – we would love to come back! r.

I had the ribeye stake (the big one) It came with garlic bread, salad, and baked potato. I ordered the stake medium cooked. The stake was OK. It is great to the needed level, but parts of it was very fatty. The parts with no fat were so good. The baked potato was so good. The garlic bread and the salad were perfect

The service was really great, unfortunately you can't find something like that everywhere anymore! We also liked the ambience. For me the portion was great and it tasted good. You shouldn't expect a perfectly tender piece of meat from the rump steak, but all in all I thought it was very good for the price! The selection of desserts was also great 👍🏽

Nice place near Alexander Platz where you can eat excellent meat or hamburgers and drink good wine or beer. Attentive and present service. Excellent quality/price The only note for us Italians is that the restaurant closes at 10pm, but in Berlin you eat very early in the evening. Advised

I expected this restaurant to be able to make some steak but a medium rare is apparently well-done and it was cold. In the restaurant it is really hot and hard to breathe when there are you will just get tired after you had some food. Waitress Marina had a bit of an attitude when we wanted to pay

attitude towards customers is very ugly. The food came very late, we didn't say anything, I didn't say anything but it doesn't suit a business like this at all. I will never come again and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Somehow the air was out of the atmosphere here. It was really just average… Unfortunately it's nothing special. Every Italian can do it too. Unfortunately.

The food was good and I would say okay in terms of price-performance ratio. I was not satisfied with the service. I arrived and wanted to sit outside. Where I was told they were closing outside because it was too cold. OK. Then I go in and waited to be seated. I stood there for a while, but no one cared. Then I looked for a place, no one was interested. Then I spoke to waitresses who were chatting and had their backs turned to the restaurant. They said they didn't notice me. Then the menu came, the food arrived quickly and, as I said, okay. Then I wanted to pay. During 4 conditions of smoking outside, no one looked in my direction. I got up again to say I wanted to pay. These conditions then apply to the 4 smokers, but the waitress who was probably responsible for my tables then busied herself with serving other guests. I had to ask for the bill again. The waitress then told me that she didn't know that I wanted to pay.

The food is incredibly tasty, we got the Classic Burger and it was fantastic. Also be sure to try the chocolate dessert, which is a bestseller! A very friendly and warm atmosphere, the manager Michael and the waitress Cristin created the incredible atmosphere of our evening.

Hygiene is terrible!! Never again!!! I got food poisoning at lunch there last week. I felt terrible for two days. I also wrote an email to customer service. No answer.

It’s always a good restaurant, except for this last time when I ordered a burger. Despite requesting it to be well done, it was completely medium, and the surface was slightly burnt, giving it a bitter taste. I regret not informing the staff at the time! Overall, it’s a good restaurant and usually serves great food.

Honest average food. We ordered the New York cheese burger. The fries are average, the Coleslaw portion is minimal and tasteless, the only thing that saves the meat. I ate better.

The Blockhouse is now called Palm Beach, the service was good and the "American" style food and cocktails were very tasty. Slight deductions for the ambience because you're sitting outside on the street. Otherwise we were very satisfied :)

We have been enthusiastic about the quality and taste of Blockhouse steaks for many years. For the first time, we stood in a long queue in front of the crowded restaurant on a public holiday evening - which actually led to a positive experience: the restaurant manager managed the flow of customers in front of the door attentively and charmingly, so that we felt very welcome and informed. In the end, the wait didn't take too long and we were able to thoroughly enjoy the menu and the service team, which was effective and in a good mood despite the stress.

Again delicious food with very friendly service.

Best Burger I’ve ever had and will be hard to top, 100% going back, service was amazing and the burger was so juicy

I visited this place on a Thursday around 6 p.m. Surprisingly I still found a place! The service is very attentive! As usual, the food at Blockhaus is very good! Since it was quite full, it was correspondingly loud.

We went there on a Sunday evening with a small group just 1 hour before closing but they prepared our food quickly and served us with great joy and grace.
