Papa Nô - Friedrichshain in Berlin

This place should learn what a Pad Thai is, instead of having fun of their customers and selling something else. Ordered two Pad Thai on Wolt and this is what we get: overboiled noodles, with broccoli and carrots. Since when Pad Thai is with broccoli and carrots? That was by far the least authentic asian food experience I’ve ever head. This place is a scam.

We have known this restaurant for years from passing by. Today we decided to go inside! That was the best decision we could have made. It is a relatively small restaurant that is decorated with great attention to detail. But what made the afternoon special was the food! Asian cuisine is practiced so expertly here - whether the starters or the main course through to the dessert - everything is prepared with great joy and great quality. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good Asian cuisine.

Had lunch at Papa No today, the atmosphere was just right for a relaxing break, the staff are super friendly and you feel warmly welcomed. The food is also great, I will definitely come back!!

Beautifully decorated. Extremely friendly and quick staff. The dishes are excellent, made with fresh ingredients and authentically seasoned. Today we had the Pho Bo rice noodle soup. She was outstanding. One reason for this was the spicy, strong broth, the basis for a good Pho. Note on the photo: The bowl of pho was of course brought to the table full to the brim. The photo was taken halfway...

Ordered delivery on Uber Eats: Pad Thai is not authentic and lacks taste, it’s just over boiled noodles In sushi avocado was black and not fresh for sure Banana tempura - the dough was salty and it’s weird. Also banana is black inside

The variety of sushi creations leaves nothing to be desired, and you can taste the high quality of the ingredients in every bite. Good service, but if you want to order burritos, it's best without breading, as it was very greasy - so if you're sensitive, you'd prefer something else. That's why a burrito is good for two The rest is really delicious!

Stumbled upon this place while walking from the S Ostkreuz and didn't regret visiting at all. Lovely ambiance and service. Good was extremely flavourful and the quantity was good enough. Will surely visit again.

Great service, I had the Bun Bo Nam Bo, which was delicious and was a good portion of rice-pasta and sides.

We still know the restaurant from its old location on Warschauer Straße, before it moved to Sonntagstraße. We usually order our sushi from Papa-No and are always satisfied. Although we occasionally try sushi from other providers or eat directly in other restaurants, we still like Papa-No's sushi the best. That's why we give it a clear recommendation and all thumbs up.

The edamame starter and the wonton with spinach filling were both very good. Unfortunately, the sushi burrito wasn't quite as convincing. Significantly too fatty, which meant you could hardly taste the filling. At the same time, the lettuce and rocket took some getting used to in a sushi... The remaining ingredients, i.e. avocado, chicken... were saved. What should be mentioned positively, however, is the location and the ambience. Very modern and lots of outdoor seating. Service was also very attentive and friendly :)

There were 5 of us at Papa Nô on Friday evening and we were very satisfied. The service gave you a warm welcome straight away. We ordered the sushi burritos - they were very nicely prepared, but they lacked sauce and a little flavor. The other dishes looked delicious! Would love to come back

Were there with a neo button and the price/performance ratio was great. The fried sushi borrito tasted delicious but was a bit too greasy. The shop looks cozy and is clean. The service was very friendly and also took our special requests into account

Full marks. That was a nice evening with Papa No. The food was very good. Extremely delicious. The restaurant stands out a bit from other Vietnamese in the area when it comes to food. It is more sophisticated. Furthermore, the ambience inside is beautiful and the service is very funny and friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in Berlin Friedrichshain.

Since the food arrived in such a state, the mood became so-so. Because the first impression is 👎🏼 There are no questions for the courier. The food tastes good. 👍🏻 that's why we'll give it another chance.

My lover and I came here to enjoy but were really dissatisfied. Personally, I didn't find the food particularly tasty, the meat in the dish “Bun Bo Nam Bo” was very salty. We were very dissatisfied and the quality of the food and drinks was not good either. Unfortunately I won't come here again and won't recommend this restaurant to everyone😡. Have eaten at Papa Nô several times. Vegetarian/vegan dishes are highly recommended. Tasty and beautifully prepared. Very pleasant place and clean. Super friendly and child-friendly. Always my pleasure.

The food was tasty but clearly not enough for the money on the plate! Beautifully decorated and cozy. First order was not possible outside at the table. Price is clearly too high, therefore only 3 stars overall.

We have ordered warm sushi and Asian dishes from Papa No for years. But it's wearing off more and more. That's why I unfortunately have to revise the rating downwards. Little content...not even the smaller boxes are filled with warm food anymore. Little soup addition. Too expensive for the quantity and quality. Eating too greasy. Baked meat too dry and hard. Too little meat. Nothing more will be ordered here for now.

I usually never give low stars but I was just appalled by the service of the woman.. We arrived three adults and two children (9,6) outside were two small tables which we were NOT allowed to put together as per the woman : she said well then you have to sit separated but don't put the tables together and don't move chairs and block the street.. so we just sat separated ( had my nephews visiting me mind you from far away) we then moved to one table as the kids went to play, the food was good I can't lie but after a while i look to my right and I see the table has been given to a "western" family of four and they were allowed to put even more chairs... I was just appalled and can't help but think due to our ethnic/muslim background that lady has treated us with disrespect... so I will never visit the branch in FH maybe another branch have more respectful staff

The food was good, but my Pad Thai was only spicy if you caught one of the few pieces of chili. Service was mixed.

I recently had the pleasure of eating soup and sushi at Papa Nô and I absolutely loved it! The quality of the food was excellent. The sushi was fresh, perfectly prepared and incredibly tasty. I would particularly like to highlight the variety of sushi rolls on offer, the creativity of the ingredients and the artful presentation of the dishes. Every bite was a delight. The service was also friendly and attentive.

Very nice sushi and staff! I recommend the mango lassi, which is amazing and super cheap. They were also very supportive of our orange flag we hung on the table while watching The Netherlands play in the fifa euro cup haha!

A little famished, we went to Papa Nô to indulge in our sushi tradition. We chose the Party Platter XXL and were not disappointed. It was a really successful combination, with high-quality ingredients that left us more than satisfied. The non-alcoholic cocktails in the cute cups rounded it all off. Absolute recommendation!!

I usually order from Papa No. I love the food. However the lieferung service is really bad. They are quite fast delivering, but the man doing the delivery (who is from the restaurant and always the same person) is quite rude. It is quite unfortunate but I will have to order from another restaurant.

We are here a lot! At PAPANO they have great service and good food with stable quality :) Dogs get a bowl of water without asking and if you don't have much time at lunchtime, you can call and your Pho will definitely be on the table. When the sun is shining and you're sitting outside, you're guaranteed to be in a good mood. The hustle and bustle at Ostkreuz is of course part of it 💯 In terms of price, we are in the FHain average. Overall a good place to visit regularly.

I was at Papa No on Ostkreuz this afternoon and it says outside that they have an offer between 12 and 3 p.m. Even though I was there within that time, I was supposed to pay the full price...even though the billboard was outside advertising the offer. I ordered chicken with sauce, the sauce was okay, the rice was dry and the chicken was half raw. I asked the waiter about it and he didn't respond... Maybe he'll give a discount on the bill or something, but in the end nothing came from him. When it came to paying, I mentioned it again that the food wasn't good and that I was in the offer period. The "nice waiter" said: "no, you have to pay the full bill". Where is the service that the customer should normally receive? I'm sorry, but I won't recommend this store to anyone anymore.

We ordered from Papa Nô. The food came quickly, was warm, but didn't really taste great. For example, I ordered a seaweed salad and what I got was a disgrace. Underneath a small layer of seaweed lettuce was “normal” lettuce.

Not a great shop and I personally didn't like the food, I know better shops, not worth a second visit for me...

I have never eaten such tasteless food in my entire life. I had a burrito and sushi. When we complained we were told that there could be differences in taste. I agree with the service, but not if the food tastes like nothing. In a group of 6 people we all had the same opinion. We used an ENTIRE BOTTLE of soy sauce while eating and it didn't help. Really sad and no understanding of the kitchen. Half of the burrito was returned and the full price was charged. Only after a long discussion and after the waiter said: "We have so much to do right now - as a gesture of goodwill, you now get 10% off the burrito," half of which was thrown away. 3/4 of the restaurant was empty, you got the feeling that you had been sent packing. Very, very sad service and even worse food. I will never eat here again, and that's a good thing. Edit April 1st, 2024: I was contacted after 2 months saying that I couldn't remember the customer and I had to prove that I was really there, otherwise the rating would be taken down. It seems like you want to delete the negative comments. Tip: For anyone who writes a negative review: Take a photo of the receipt as proof that you were there. So that your review stands.

In terms of taste, it's my favorite Asian restaurant in Berlin.

Very good food and dishes that you can't find anywhere else. E.g. Noritos or rice pudding maki. The service was very friendly and in a good mood. We recommend.

I was curious and hungry. Ordered two things that are basically no-fail recipes: a Pad Thai and a Thom Kha. Thom Kha was bad, meaning it was salty but bland, no herbs no spice, some sad mushrooms floating against oversized chewy tofu chunks. But it’s ok, I’ve had even worse in berlin. Than the Pad Thai. What in the actual hell.. Noodles: soggy, over cooked, not even pad thai noodles. Sauce: I’m guessing sweetened water? Toppings: overcooked broccoli? Was this an accident? Chewy oversized tofu chunks again. No sprouts, no spring onions, no peanut. I took it home, fried it and added a tangy, spicy tamarind sauce, crushed some peanuts, garnished with some spring onion. Ate the broccoli straight out the pan so it wouldn’t bother me later. With these little changes, it was at least eatable.

I've eaten in the restaurant a few times and both the food and the service have met all my expectations, unfortunately I can't say the same about the delivery service, which is also run by Papa no and no third party providers. Our order was announced late which is understandable as the food can't. After we started eating, we had the leg dish with meat, none of it was true, the dish with sweet and sour sauce was missing the sauce, so we called the restaurant. After the conversation I was supposed to send photos of what we did via WhatsApp. The person on the phone apologized and told me he would send me the order again and correctly. When the new order came (after around 30 minutes, 1.20 total waiting time) When the new order came, Dad's delivery driver expected us to return the incorrectly delivered order. I explained that we had served the food on a plate and that after all the waiting, my son had already ordered the dish with meat spooned out of it. Then the driver said in a loud tone, “Dan, there is no food.” I asked him what he was doing when he started eating, then he said something that I didn't understand and held the food in front of me, I took it and he ran away and made gestures with his hands and apparently escaped into another language. Conclusion It's better to take your time and eat in the restaurant, the delivery driver service ruins your appetite.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung dort und direkt begeistert. Schön, dass es ein recht gute Auswahl an veganen Gerichten gibt.

Ich bestelle hier seit vielen Jahren und war bis zum vorletzten Mal sehr zufrieden. Beim vorletzten Mal ist mir allerdings schon aufgefallen, dass beim Wuse Fan schon merklich weniger Reis im Gericht geliefert wurde. Nun gut, dachte ich, kann mal passieren. Doch beim letzten Mal erneut. Zufall? Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wie man das Vertrauen treuer Kunden verspielt, nur weil man am Reis sparen will? Ist es doch eine Binsenweisheit: die Kunden, die einmal weg sind, kommen so schnell nicht mehr wieder.Vielleicht doch nochmal die Philosophie überdenken.

Very friendly service. The price of the dishes are very reasonable. Staffs were very friendly and professional. The decoration inside the restaurant was also pleasant. There are places to sit outside as well which is very good for summer season. Overall a very good experience and definitely recommendable.
