I have reserved a table for Christmas Eve 2024, very friendly welcome and reception. Restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Food tasted very good and tasty. We visited the restaurant two times during our 4 days trip to Berlin, we were served one time by Katharine and the second time by Layla and both times it was so nice and we really enjoyed the food, we met the restaurant owner as he showed up to greet us, I really recommend this restaurant.

Very interesting and ideal place. Now I'm sitting right there eating and realizing how delicious it is. The atmosphere is great, but something is missing, the service is a little slow, but I highly recommend it

The XantenerEck was an institution and was known for its well-tapped, tasty beers. Unfortunately, as long-standing customers, we had to realize that nothing works without the supervision of the long-established management. Even the beer is stale! Sad…

Once good, today with a catastrophic kitchen team. Fillet steak sinewy and gristly. Fries only once in oil, pepper sauce overly hot. The Cabernet is only good for watering flowers and the only thing that is good is King Ludwig Dunkel. If you come at lunchtime, you're lucky if the pre-prepared food is at least hot. Update: You can forget about the staff these days. I suspect that this is due to the “new” management.

I came across this shop more or less by chance. I actually just wanted to go to the toilet 🤣. When I came in I was in the middle of filming by a TVBerlin television crew surrounded by Berlin celebrities. First selfies with celebrities, then to the toilet and then stayed for dinner. What an experience. If you want to dine well and powerfully, you will get something served here.

I spontaneously decided to visit this restaurant. After the cheese spaetzle from the 2024 season ticket made me so happy because the food was served very quickly despite the restaurant being full in the evening and the waitresses and waiters were friendly, polite and relaxed, I spontaneously applied. I was kindly introduced by Mary, who is really nice and calm when you initially have a thousand questions. Even during my two work shifts, the kitchen ran like clockwork! So far I have never experienced rude service! A good start! An old colleague also visited me and was also very happy with the food and drinks! Unfortunately after 2 weeks things changed! Now there is a complaint against an employee of the store who sexually harassed me so much that, thank God, I don't have the language this time missed! Christel Issa didn't see this as a bad thing and fired me and not the man who did it!

The Xantener Eck is really a pearl! A classic old Berlin pub that you don't often find today. It's still really cozy here, like it used to be. The beer selection is great (12 draft beers), there is something for everyone. You can relax and grab a Molle here and just switch off. The kitchen? Absolutely delicious! Tasty Berlin-style home cooking that melts in your mouth. What you get here is honest, no-frills fare – exactly the way it should be. It's really good here, especially at Christmas time: roast goose with red and green cabbage, which won't leave anyone going home hungry. The store is always appropriately decorated, creating a lovely, festive atmosphere. The service is particularly attentive and ensures a pleasant atmosphere. For me, the Xantener Eck is a really nice place to have a good time. I always enjoy coming here because everything is just right: good beer, good food, nice people. What more could you want? Cheers!

We don't usually eat at the same restaurant twice when we only have a few evenings at our disposal in a big city like Berlin, but after a first visit to Restaurant & Bierhaus Xantener Eck, we had to return. The food was - if you like traditional German cuisine - in a class of its own, no less. The waiters were friendly and efficient and made us feel more than welcome in the atmospheric, cosy rooms. Next time we come to Berlin we will go straight to this restaurant, that much is certain...

Everything was okay.. Food, ambience etc...unfortunately a drink wasn't delivered once or twice, even though it was ordered correctly...but you should pay for it at the end....as is unfortunately so often the case in the catering industry.... Result: unnecessary discussions with a seemingly inexperienced, younger operator...also because 5.50 euros...that doesn't have to be the case...especially since, according to this expert, cameras are supposed to be permanently used in the restaurant to help explain the ordering process afterwards...but unfortunately the video wasn't available to me The connection was shown or not played....they probably had concerns...😉...of course I had to smile a bit...the state security from before somehow says hello, if that were really the case...😅 😅 ..It's a shame...one star deducted for this...it didn't have to be...and also because of a mistake in just one service, which also became very personal...no customer needed that, who leaves over 80 euros for 2 people in the restaurant..... but it can happen sometimes... the job isn't that easy after all... we'll still be back... the rest of the staff was great friendly and accommodating...a great restaurant for years...keep it up!

While looking for something to eat I came across the Xantener Eck by chance as it was close to the hotel! I didn't have a reservation, but I was able to get a seat quickly! The waitresses were really very attentive and took care of the guest's well-being. It was very well attended, but you still received advice and didn't have to wait long. The duck (see picture) that was offered on the monthly menu was a poem. The price-performance ratio is right! A visit here is worth every penny! Quaint restaurant. You will be my point of contact the next time I visit Berlin!

I'm not from Berlin, but I was there for the third year in a row. Food very tasty, always full house, delicious beer on tap.

I have known the Xantener Eck for more than 50 years under different management. I celebrated our wedding there with my husband 42 years ago and ate very well. Even today, home-style cooking and great tap 🍺 beers. 🥰👍 Keep it up 👍 Still a good place to eat and drink good beer 🍺. At lunchtime from Monday to Friday there is a small menu for 10.00 euros 💶👍 Main course with soup or dessert 👍 great 😉 The summer season has begun and you can also sit outside in the Xantener Eck 😉👍 Still great, now in the warmth a cool, freshly tapped drink Beer 🍺👍😉 Nothing has changed 👍😉

We were only in Berlin for 3 days and still had dinner there twice. That's saying something! The food was always great and very plentiful. The team is friendly and yet, like the atmosphere, authentic. Keep it up!

It was unbearable there today. The quarrels between mother (boss), which are very loud, put a strain on the guests, and the atmosphere among the employees is also hostile. We had to wait 20 minutes for our bill and 20 minutes for our take-away dessert. The waiter, the son, gave himself his own tip and the older Damw, who was sitting at the table with us, received a bill for 1.50 euros. When she asked, the waiter/the boss's son said that this was for the packaging costs of the 2 people who had already left and were sitting at the table with you. The food was good, but we don't want to be ripped off. Unfortunately, you can no longer go for a relaxed meal there, unfortunately. So, dear people out there, watch your back. Lunch was super delicious, for €10 main course plus soup or dessert. Dear parents, dear alcoholics, the muffins were mixed with rum, so it's better to ask about the dessert.

We always enjoy coming to Xantener Eck! Great atmosphere, nice service, delicious, well-kept beers and good food. The price/performance ratio is right here! However, we experienced a small downer on our last visit. We had reserved “our” favorite table for 2 p.m. The table request was not passed on, but it was free. After 4 beers and a good meal, the restaurant was full and a reservation was placed on our table for 7 p.m. So far so good, it was only 6 p.m. At 6:35 p.m. an employee who was unknown to us said we had to leave and we had been there for quite a long time. This situation could certainly have been handled differently. Drink in peace at the bar or something similar. It's a shame, but we'll still come back and continue to recommend the Xantener Eck.

During our visit to Berlin there was this great pub near our hotel. We found it through the description on the Internet. It impresses with its quaintness, the friendly staff, the food and also the selection of different beers. Even though the pub was very full and loud when we visited, we really enjoyed it.

Direct criticism from the guest to the chef is not welcome here! In return, the guest has to deal with stomach problems for 36 hours because of the poor quality and, above all, absolutely loveless preparation of the food. My first and last visit: initially ignored by the unempathetic waitress - only the barmaid warmly greeted me; She brought me the menu and served a freshly tapped Oktoberfest beer. So much for the good. I was then served a homeopathic dose of a Convenience Obatzda for €8.90 - the menu had originally planned for €10.90 - the portion of which was doubled at my strongest insistence in order to achieve at least a minimally acceptable standard size. This was followed by a completely burnt pork knuckle with a minimal crust for €18.90, the meat of which was dry and fibrous and almost inedible apart from the smallest core. There was also a brown sauce that really didn't taste like anything and a convenience sauerkraut that was dressed with an eighth of an onion and a sixteenth of a bay leaf and tasted totally sour like it had been poured straight out of the jar. I'm keeping quiet about the dumplings. When I politely asked whether it would make sense to tell the chef about my criticism, the waitress dismissed me by pointing out that the knuckle was the flagship product of the house and was highly valued by 80% of the guests... Despite mine After a short discourse about the concept of honor in cooking, I was denied the request to be allowed to present my criticism myself. Apart from the sense of taste, I'm just wondering what kind of hard stomachs "the 80% of the guests" have to have in order to get through this really difficult to digest convenience food even halfway well.

It's nice that there are still such quaint restaurants in Berlin. I would particularly like to highlight the staff, who deal very professionally with "difficult" and not to say "stupid" guests. You are amazing!!!🥰

Quaint old Berlin restaurant with pub flair and 12 types of beer 🍺 on tap. The food, in my case the huge cabbage roulade and my wife a fillet steak with a delicious small salad, as dessert we shared an apple pancake with vanilla ice cream. Everything extremely tasty 😋. All the dishes on the neighboring tables also looked very tasty 😋, so we will gradually eat our way through the menu. It's actually a shame that as a native Berliner you first have to have a colleague recommend this restaurant. Value for money near Ku'dammn (hard to believe). The staff was very friendly and humorous. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. We wish you all the best and hope that you continue like this for a long time.

lunchtime. Rush hour at Xantener Eck. I get a seat straight away and order a lunch menu. I am politely asked whether I would like soup beforehand or ice cream afterwards. I decide on the soup and wait... Meanwhile, guests on the left and right also take a seat, order the same thing and immediately receive the starter soup and shortly afterwards their main meal. I'll wait and won't be noticed any further... I'm about to leave when my main meal arrives after half an hour, unfortunately lukewarm. I feel uncomfortable mentioning this to the busy waitress. It's only when I'm paying that I say that she asked me for an appetizer, which unfortunately didn't come and I wasn't served until so late. Not a word of apology, but: "You should have said that beforehand!" I hear as the waitress disappears.

Unfortunately I didn't get to rate the food and drinks because I left after 40 minutes without any service. If the waiter just walks past the table without paying any attention to the guests, that's borderline bad. Unfortunately, no minus points are possible here.

My first time in Berlin and it feels like i spent 80% of the time here. Crazy good atmosphere, friendly and hard working staff and amazing food.

We come back here every time we visit Berlin. A reliable, traditional restaurant with plenty of local options and German specialities. The menus are available in multiple languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French & Russian) and whilst this is usually a sign of a tourist trap or varying quality - be assured this is not the case here. Quality always very good and have had pork knuckle, steaks, schnitzel, herring and meat rolls. There is also an impressive choice of desserts. I believe they also give a discount for Welcome Card customers. Service can be a little brusque at times but overall no issues, more reflective of approach to service locally so don’t be put off. We will be coming back for many more years to come hopefully.

Very good home cooking. Price absolutely top. Two main courses + drinks for around €35 ​​is really an unbeatable price, especially since I was really excited about the currywurst. Really recommended if you are on Kurfürstendamm.

Sausage and potato salad is nice. The location of the shop is good, on a prestigious street. There is a self-service system. As in all of Germany, the service is slow and the number of employees is low. They have chairs shaped like bar stools to sit on. In other words, they want to say eat your food and go immediately. The price is not very affordable either, it is high compared to the service

I had dinner there with my family, the food is very good. In my opinion the service wasn't that great because we ordered a drink and got it about 15-20 minutes later. When we got our food they forgot a side salad. The ambience was very good, you can sit outside under umbrellas.

Hebben hier uiteindelijk 2x gegeten.... 1 van de betere restaurants in de buurt waar zelfs de prijs erg mee valt. Eten is top, Hier weten ze hoe ze filetbeef of entrecote moeten bereiden!! Echter okk de andere gerechten die we hadfen waren zeer de moeite waard, van de schnitzels tot de kipfilet... alles was goed... Bediening was top en bleef erg o vriendelijk, zelfs tegen zeer lastige klanten die steeds om drinken vroegen en veel van personeel vergde en ronduit grof waren in de taal naar de bediening toe.. Klant is hier echt koning... ook voor dieetaanpassing geen enkel probleem.... Originele gerechten, traditionele gerechten (schnitzels) en zelfs zeer lekker toetjes als kaiserschmarren op de kaart!! Top restaurant met zeer mooie prijs kwaliteit verhouding.... kwaliteit was veel hoger dan de prijs...

I've been here a few times for lunch and I can only write about the lunch menu. The starters were generally okay, but the main course meat and fish were mostly dry, which is probably because it is stored in a warming container and is already dry even at 12 o'clock. On my last visit, the fish was so dry that it was almost impossible to eat, and the fried potatoes I ordered were without bacon or onions and were too salty. It wasn't possible to return it "because the boss wasn't in the house" and as an apology I was given a dessert that consisted of some cream and a canned peach. That was my last visit.

Typical German Eck, a very suitable environment for lovers of classic Bavarian pubs and taverns! Excellent beers, delicious food and generous portions. All with a service that is always available and smiling, and for being in the Kurfurstendamm area it is really cheap, Top! We also had the hotel nearby, we were happy to go back a second time!😎🍻👍

Yesterday the five of us were served in a friendly manner and ate really well. Five different dishes from German home cooking. I had a bigger knuckle here, but it was still completely sufficient. The chanterelles were prepared according to individual wishes. Gladly again.
