Delicious real food! Stuff is sweet, warm and very helpful to tourists. Menu offerings with lower price on weekdays from 12:00 to 16:00, great way to try some dishes. Also the menu is offered in various languages if you dont speak German. Various beers with very normal to low prices for a restaurant. Excellent experience for traditional food in a traditional environment. Will visit again for sure!

Came across the restaurant by chance. Totally surprised to have found an authentic Berlin restaurant here that is not aimed at tourists. So Berlin cuisine. Very large selection of draft beers. The dish of the day was fried potatoes with a fried egg and salad, which I ordered, with asparagus soup. Everything was good, except the "salad" wasn't such a thing, but rather a garnish on the edge of the plate, as one is actually used to in East Germany. But this is West Berlin. The service was courteous and friendly, the guests were home-style. Clear recommendation for coming back (right next to the Adenauerplatz subway station)

Everything was ok so far... unfortunately we only had to pay for two or three beers more than we actually drank because the big, bearded waiter demanded that of us... we even documented everything in detail... even after a long discussion, unfortunately there was no response... and that with a bill of over 200 euros... It's just a shame... it was almost exactly the same on the previous visit... of course you don't start a legal dispute over 10 euros... which should also be clear !....Still, it's all just a shame....unnecessary hassle....so conclusion: never come here again in our lives...that's now finally certain for us...and also lifelong negative advertising from us...no matter where we are in the world...promised!! and that because of 10.- EUR 😅 😀.......so our tip for this restaurant: especially if the bills are higher there, you should always check them carefully and maybe even put lines on the beer mats as "proof"... at least for the beers... terrible, but apparently necessary. PS: By the way, we also had expired beers in bottles from 2024...but that can happen after all...😅😅😅🤣

A really great Berlin location. Hardly any tourists - wonderful! The atmosphere is, as desired, Berliner, the many beers on tap flow wonderfully and the freshly prepared food tastes really, really good! Disappointing experience – Not recommended! I was looking forward to a cozy evening in a traditional German restaurant, but unfortunately I was seriously disappointed. As soon as I entered, I noticed that there wasn't a single German working in a "German restaurant with German cuisine" - I found that strange. Of course, what counts most is the quality of the food and the service, but unfortunately both left a lot to be desired. The beer was an absolute disaster: watery, completely stale and without any head. I have rarely been served such a bad beer in a restaurant. The food? Carelessly prepared and the taste is far removed from what one would think of as good German cuisine. Everything tasted bland and unimaginative - as if it were made from cheap finished products. What struck me particularly negatively was the waiter who really pushed for a tip. Instead of earning a reasonable tip through good service, you were almost forced to pay extra. Something like that doesn't work! All in all a disappointing evening. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant nor will I visit it again.

After a long train ride and feeling pretty tired, we were in the mood for a beer. We discovered this great Berlin pub near our hotel. We had previously looked at various restaurants and steakhouses online and planned our stay in Berlin. As far as restaurants went, we didn't need anything more. Excellent cuisine, great service, and a cozy atmosphere! So we ended up here every evening, and the boss was always at his table on time and organized! One employee said he'd never had such a great boss! This statement reflects the entire atmosphere! We'll be back on our next visit, no matter which part of Berlin we're in!

Disappointing experience – never again! I was really excited about this restaurant, but unfortunately my visit was a complete disappointment. The beer itself was a failure - stale, without any head and tasted like it had been open for far too long. Something like that simply shouldn't happen in a restaurant! The food was also a bitter disappointment. Carelessly prepared, hardly seasoned and the taste was a disaster. It looked like it came straight from the microwave. I definitely expected more for the prices. The service was also unmotivated and seemed annoyed - no smile, no friendliness. All in all, it was a very bad visit and I certainly won't be back. Absolutely not recommended!

Great german dishes! Hugeeee sizes and the most friendly staff I have ever met. I haven’t tried everything but I know that each dish must be a feast. Every time I sit there and look around, I see people smiling at their food! Never have I seen something like that before!

After arriving in Berlin, we chose this place. After a spontaneous call, we easily got a seat for six people. The service was really friendly and attentive. The drinks and food came really quickly and tasted very good. We were all satisfied. We'd love to go back.

Old school Berlin, must stay!!!

We were in Berlin for football and stopped at the Xantener Eck because of the very good reviews.  The restaurant was busy, but there were still seats available. The service staff took our order quickly and in a relaxed manner. After a short waiting time, the food was served.  We ate onion roast with fried potatoes and tarte flambée with tuna and red onions. Hot, fresh and delicious at fair prices! We really liked it there...so I definitely recommend it!

We were there spontaneously, with a shanty choir group, with a lot of people... (35-40 people, there Great service, fast service, delicious food, we were also able to play some music...we hope everyone had fun that evening...including the guests who weren't part of our group. We were impressed by the spontaneity of the employees... thank you very much for that.. If possible we would like to come back...

Excellent German cuisine, many Berlin classics, from pork knuckles to currywurst, a wide selection of beer 🍺 on tap. We would love to come back 😊 Daily changing 2-course menus at lunchtime, highly recommended. In the evening we got a table after a short time without a reservation 🍻

Solid neighborhood institution for an initial ( and continuous..) immersion into authentic German food! We’ve been here several times by now; their lunches are probably the best not-so-well-kept secret in all Berlin! With a rotating seasonal menu of both meat and vegetarian German staples ( at the staggering deal of €9.90 !). And dinner is also a great chance to indulge into a wide array of traditional, simply delicious and hearty dishes at fairly reasonable prices. Service is always attentive, albeit with the characteristic no non-sense German style, lol.. Also, loyal to the German tradition, the portions are on the "generous" side; and to top it all , the place offers, of course, a great selection of local brews!

My meal was tasty and lots of choice of food and drinks. The service was friendly, warm and on point. The entrance area was not possible with the door type (similar to a western salon (don't know the real name)) with a walker alone.

We ate there twice during a city trip to Berlin and absolutely loved it, super nice staff, also regional cuisine, which was also really tasty, affordable and plentiful. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of the previous pubs, lovingly designed, clean and the food was delivered extremely quickly even though the restaurant was fully booked, which to be honest doesn't surprise me. Great place.

We visited the restaurant two times during our 4 days trip to Berlin, we were served one time by Katharine and the second time by Layla and both times it was so nice and we really enjoyed the food, we met the restaurant owner as he showed up to greet us, I really recommend this restaurant.

The XantenerEck was an institution and was known for its well-tapped, tasty beers. Unfortunately, as long-standing customers, we had to realize that nothing works without the supervision of the long-established management. Even the beer is stale! Sad…

Once good, today with a catastrophic kitchen team. Fillet steak sinewy and gristly. Fries only once in oil, pepper sauce overly hot. The Cabernet is only good for watering flowers and the only thing that is good is King Ludwig Dunkel. If you come at lunchtime, you're lucky if the pre-prepared food is at least hot. Update: You can forget about the staff these days. I suspect that this is due to the “new” management.

I came across this shop more or less by chance. I actually just wanted to go to the toilet 🤣. When I came in I was in the middle of filming by a TVBerlin television crew surrounded by Berlin celebrities. First selfies with celebrities, then to the toilet and then stayed for dinner. What an experience. If you want to dine well and powerfully, you will get something served here.

I spontaneously decided to visit this restaurant. After the cheese spaetzle from the 2024 season ticket made me so happy because the food was served very quickly despite the restaurant being full in the evening and the waitresses and waiters were friendly, polite and relaxed, I spontaneously applied. I was kindly introduced by Mary, who is really nice and calm when you initially have a thousand questions. Even during my two work shifts, the kitchen ran like clockwork! So far I have never experienced rude service! A good start! An old colleague also visited me and was also very happy with the food and drinks! Unfortunately after 2 weeks things changed! Now there is a complaint against an employee of the store who sexually harassed me so much that, thank God, I don't have the language this time missed! Christel Issa didn't see this as a bad thing and fired me and not the man who did it!

The Xantener Eck is really a pearl! A classic old Berlin pub that you don't often find today. It's still really cozy here, like it used to be. The beer selection is great (12 draft beers), there is something for everyone. You can relax and grab a Molle here and just switch off. The kitchen? Absolutely delicious! Tasty Berlin-style home cooking that melts in your mouth. What you get here is honest, no-frills fare – exactly the way it should be. It's really good here, especially at Christmas time: roast goose with red and green cabbage, which won't leave anyone going home hungry. The store is always appropriately decorated, creating a lovely, festive atmosphere. The service is particularly attentive and ensures a pleasant atmosphere. For me, the Xantener Eck is a really nice place to have a good time. I always enjoy coming here because everything is just right: good beer, good food, nice people. What more could you want? Cheers!

We don't usually eat at the same restaurant twice when we only have a few evenings at our disposal in a big city like Berlin, but after a first visit to Restaurant & Bierhaus Xantener Eck, we had to return. The food was - if you like traditional German cuisine - in a class of its own, no less. The waiters were friendly and efficient and made us feel more than welcome in the atmospheric, cosy rooms. Next time we come to Berlin we will go straight to this restaurant, that much is certain...

As soon as I entered he asked me if I wanted a beer, telling me the name of a beer, upon my request to pass after a few minutes he very hastily and rudely simply asked me "big or small?". In short, I find myself with a dark beer of terrible quality, to say the least. It's a shame, the place is very nice but she (I think the owner) is incredibly rude. I apologize by saying that I speak very little English but she certainly understood what I wanted to say to her. Lucky because they are in a big city where there is a lot of circulation, bye bye nini. NOT RECOMMENDED

While looking for something to eat I came across the Xantener Eck by chance as it was close to the hotel! I didn't have a reservation, but I was able to get a seat quickly! The waitresses were really very attentive and took care of the guest's well-being. It was very well attended, but you still received advice and didn't have to wait long. The duck (see picture) that was offered on the monthly menu was a poem. The price-performance ratio is right! A visit here is worth every penny! Quaint restaurant. You will be my point of contact the next time I visit Berlin!

I have known the Xantener Eck for more than 50 years under different management. I celebrated our wedding there with my husband 42 years ago and ate very well. Even today, home-style cooking and great tap 🍺 beers. 🥰👍 Keep it up 👍 Still a good place to eat and drink good beer 🍺. At lunchtime from Monday to Friday there is a small menu for 10.00 euros 💶👍 Main course with soup or dessert 👍 great 😉 The summer season has begun and you can also sit outside in the Xantener Eck 😉👍 Still great, now in the warmth a cool, freshly tapped drink Beer 🍺👍😉 Nothing has changed 👍😉

I'm not from Berlin, but I was there for the third year in a row. Food very tasty, always full house, delicious beer on tap.

We were only in Berlin for 3 days and still had dinner there twice. That's saying something! The food was always great and very plentiful. The team is friendly and yet, like the atmosphere, authentic. Keep it up!
